We always walked to get around the city except Dolmabahce Palace.

The White House was perfect as we walked to many of the attractions and when we visited the Grand Bazaar,  the Dolmabahce Palace and Spice Market the light rail/tram is virtually at the end of the street.

This lovely hotel is ideally located just a few minutes away from the key attractions of Istanbul (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc).

We were within short walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Market, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofya, the Blue Mosque, the Roman Cistern and a sea of Restaurants and shops.

White House Hotel Istanbul is located in the heart of the historical peninsula and it is within few munites walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Archeology Museum, the Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar.

All major Sultanahmet area attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Bucolean Palace, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern are in about just 2 munites walk.

The hotel is close to everything and is worthy of a grand palace

The location of the hotel is excellent within easy reach of all mean tourist attractions Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque and the main tram station.

Only a few minutes away to Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia and the other touristic attractions.

It is a 10 minute stroll to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.

Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque are only a few minutes away from the hotel.

It was spacious and decorated as a chamber in a palace.

The room is very comfortable and the roof top has such a beautiful view of the Mosque.

Wonderful staff; great location close to the top attractions, the tram line, and nearby restaurants; impeccably clean and comfortable room (we loved the rose petal touch); and a very nice breakfast on the top floor with a view of the top of the Haggia Sofia.

The room was clean and cozy and i also appreciated the fact that the hotel was not too much big since you breathed a familiar atmosphere.

Amazing location (2 minutes away from every place you must go in Istanbul), super nice, kind and helpful staff, very clean rooms and common areas, nice typical breakfast.

The room was well equipped and clean, I must say the location is perfect!

The breakfast room is on the roof with a lovely view of Istanbul and the water.

The bathroom is also small, and the shower is enclosed in a small circular area like if you look a cruise ship voyage and had those showers.

A previous review mentioned the shower was too small - this person must’ve been the size of a small elephant as I am 6foot and quite hefty yet the shower was perfect.

However,single rooms are a little tight on space planning.The toilets are very small !

but we were disappointed to see that the room is hyper small, bathroom is also small and bed is double.

although the bathroom was a little too small.

On the down side the rooms were a bit small

Namely non-sound-proof walls, a small room with no view, occasional sewer smells, lack of storage space, and unsatisfactory breakfast selection (which, to be fair, is to be expected at a smaller hotel).

The room we had for 6 nights was small, (standard double) that we booked on Expedia.

The only draw back is the rooms are somewhat small (which is ok) and have little to no storage space (this is the biggest challenge- no counter space to store your belongings between days).

The rooms are small (think London) and the hotel has no other amenities like a pool or fitness center etc.

though the room was on the small side; albeit within minutes of the hagia sofia and blue mosque.

From day one the Service and Staff have been Excellent.

The staff are super friendly, helpful, and kind.

I found a very qualified and cordial staff.

I say that because the hotel was wonderful, especially the staff, who bent over backwards to make sure everything that we needed was done.

The food was delicious, the place was super clean, and the owner was a true host that made me feel he cared about me and my safety.

They were polite and helpful, especially with the stroller, answering our questions, organizing the cruise and pick up from and to the airport.

The hotel staff go above and beyond for their guests and make them feel like family.

The terrace view of the Hagia Sophia was an amazing sight to take in.

They are located in the center of the old city and Topkapi Palace and Sultan Ahmet, St. Sophia are very very close to the hotel, so you can walk around.

The location of the hotel is just perfect - next to Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque, Egyptian Obelisk.

Short walk just 2 minutes to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace.

A few meters from the, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace.

A few more minutes to Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

The hotel is located in the very center, it is difficult to think of a better location relative to the main attractions (walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and much more).

Breakfast buffet on the rooftop was more than adequate-lots of choices with great views of the city.

The location, view from the roof and owner/staff were amazing.

We kinda had a view from the balcony--made up for by going up from our 4th floor to the 5th.

The roof top view of the Hagia Sofia was breathtaking.

negative: the walls are too thin so you can here people next to you and it makes noisy, the price is a little high for what it is.

Tourist attractions ; What we did not expect was that it has a historic abandoned hamam in front, Old Hagia Sofia (read about it :) ) and Old city walls in 1 mins walk.

Only downside is the thin walls and street noise

Walls are fairly thin as you can hear your neighbors,

We stayed at the Ada Hotel Istanbul one-bedroom apartment for about 20 days.

2) one bedroom apartment is big enough and full equipped 
3) every day cleaning and changing of towels and bed linens 
4) very quiet , even there is a busy street around you can’t hear the noise inside !

We took a One bedroom apartment with sea view.

We were coming from a 1 bedroom apt from Nashville and felt right at home here. 3.

What made our stay most enjoyable is the nicely decorated, beautiful one-bedroom apartment we got, with great amenities (including free international calls) and the hospitality delivered by the owner, Dr. Sumengen, himself.

We had two spacious one-bedroom apartments for 5 people.

From the reception to the breakfast wich is so so so yummy and on the terrace with a view.

At the breakfast time, we go the terrace at the 5th floor, which is widely facing the Marmara sea, and find various type of food in the buffet, beside  those ladies upstairs who welcome us with smiley face all the times.

Breakfast has a beautiful view and the food is very good.

Breakfast also really good with plenty of options.

The breakfast is awesome, the staff very helpful and we would definitely recommend you stay at this hotel.

We stayed for8 nights in one bedroom apartment.It had a great sea view with balcony.The rooms were very clean and comfortable.Everything was perfect.Amazing breakfast was made by two gorgian ladies (magda and maya)that were so nice,friendly and helpful.Two young men in reception were very responsible and helpful.Location was good.I absolutely recommend Ada hotel .

Staff also brought me my breakfasts to the apartment block I was staying in when I needed it and saw to all my needs perfectly - they were very kind and accommodating people - its a small run hotel,

The hotel manager and staff were very kind and friendly and the hotel environment was very clean and we also ate a variety of delicious breakfasts every day.

The people speak good English and the breakfast is very good.

Amazing breakfast daily, great location and lovely room.

Breakfast is in the cafe on the top floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the Marmara Sea where Little Hagia Sophia, two nearest mosques (Sokollu Mehmed Pasha and Iskender Aga), the remains of Constantinople walls and the Yenikapı complex can be seen.

And the girls are wonderful, these are the same that serve you breakfast and then come clean the room.

Every morning they took care of the breakfast time smiling and laughing with us.

We could see the Bosphorus from our window and from the breakfast terrace on the top floor the view was tremendous!

The location is great, the staff were lovely, the hotel was nice and clean, and they served an amazing traditional Turkish breakfast, all at a very reasonable price.

Jana welcomed us every morning with a smile and a hug and a delectable breakfast!

Girls were present and discrete at the same time, always smiling, preparing rich and homemade warm breakfast.

My last hotel in Istanbul (for business) charged me for every local call.

but a nicer, larger room than I had reserved, at no extra charge.

When you pick up your phone in any room, you are on a direct line to the US or Canada for no extra charge.

He didn't even charge us for the extra breakfast we had.

We were also not charged for the two bottles of water from the fridge.

My trip was a last-minute decision and I found some of the hotels (if you book directly) asking for credit card details either by fax (I don't have access to a fax machine) or by email (not secure and I wasn't comfortable with it).

Water, as in all Istanbul, is not drinkable (or safe for brushing teeth), so it was necessary to use bottled water provided for in room (and we were charged street prices for it).

Also, unless you have the business card of the hotel w/ you, it will be hard for a cab driver to find the hotel.

but he insisted that my husband and I take this room at no extra charge.

The hotel is situated just a few steps from the Blue Mosque and all the major attractions, and it's extremely easy to get to other areas of the city (such as Taxsim square or Dolmabahce Palace) by tram n. 1, which has a stop very close to the hotel.

The food is always fresh, very tasty, with a wide range of dishes, numerous ready-made Turkish dishes are served for guests, freshly cooked omelets, purees, toasts in batter, burek with cheese, pancakes, and in addition - Turkish coffee.

The Breakfast has about 4 varieties of eggs in various forms - omelet ( they bring to your table ), eggs, kofte, olives, breads, etc.

20 mins from Ataturk airport, in the middle of the Old City (Sultanahmet), 5 minutes’ walk from the most popular Istanbul sights; the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Ayasofia (Hagia Sofia), Hurrem Sultan's Baths, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Basilica Cistern and loads of shopping – I suggest the Arasta bazaar next to the Blue Mosque, which is smaller and less intense than the Grand Bazar.

but not least the hotel is so close to historical places like Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace,… so you don’t need to pay for taxi to reach to these famous sightseeing and also a tram station (sultanahmed station) is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Location is great, 5-10 minutes walk to Sultanahmed Masjid (Blue Mosque) and near Haghia Shopia and Topkapi palace.

The location is excellent, a 5mins  walking distance to all main attractions like the blue mosque, hagia sophia and topkapi palace.

Also, it was very close to Istanbul's famous sightseeing spots, such as Blue mosque, Topkapi palace, and Grand bazzar.

Topaki palace is just a few minutes further.

If you don't have a tour guide, and like us are doing everything yourself, the following places take 10 mins or less by foot: blue mosque, hagia sofia, topkapi palace, grand bazaar.

Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar are also 10mins walk, nice and easy.

Blu Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Gran Bazar), we've been accomodated in a separate building 50 meters far away from the hotel composed by 5 suites with all the best finishings (full equipped kitchen, washing machine & dryer, ceiling air conditioning, wide screen TV with home theater system, balcony terrace).

Plus the location of this hotel is perfect -- it is walking distance from the Hagia Sofia, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and a lot of good places to eat in.

but its location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from major attractions of Istanbul, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace, the Hippodrome, the Basilica Cistern, Cemberlitas (Column of Constantine), Hagia Sofia and a bit further to the Grand Bazaar and transport by tram to other attractions.

The hotel is located literally within 100 meters of the Blue Mosque, the beautiful gardens, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and many more attractions!

The location made it so easy to walk to the major sights (Blue Mosque, Aga Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar).

This is a lovely boutique hotel in Sultanahmet in close proximity to many sights of interest (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, etc).

This hotel is in an ideal location in Sultanahmet, only 5-10 minutes walk from the major sights (Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace).

..the hotel is walking distance from most of the Attractions in Istanbul like Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace,Haghia Sophia, Grand Bazar etc.

but there were several annoyances such as a faucet that was totally wobbly or a very small shower that was leaking on the floor.

but some if you are a very fussy traveler, you might think the elevator too tiny or the shower a bit small (then again, other rooms even have a jacuzzi!).

The hotel rooms are small and the bathroom no more than a corridor.

The bedroom included a hot tub (which neither of us used), and the bathroom  was small

but the room was very small and pokey and one bed was in a seperate tiny room so it didn't suit us as we were 3 friends who had all come from different countries to meet up for a weekend away.

We declined the room so we were shown a small room back at the hotel.
