Walking to blue mosque less than 5 minutes.

Restaurants, shopping, Blue Mosque, Sofia Haggis, Topkapi Palace,Hippodrome are all with an easy walk.

It is very near the blue mosque and you do not have to walk up the slope too much unlike many other hotels further down the slope.

Also it was easy few minutes to walk to all the sights such as the blue mosque and bazaar areas and staying at Ada rather than in a big hotel in outer part of  istanbul I received the true taste of Turkish and their lovely hospitality with the shops and cafes and little parks//squares/mosques all so near by also.

Great Location, walking distance to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazar, etc.

Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia are 5 minutes walk.

We walked  out the door, around the corner and we were in the hippodrome and at the foot of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and cisterns.

The Hotel is about 5 minute walk from the main square that has the Hippodrome, Theodus' Obelisk, Hagia Sofia, and the Blue Mosque.

The blue mosque and other notable sites were a short walk away.

20 mins from Ataturk airport, in the middle of the Old City (Sultanahmet), 5 minutes’ walk from the most popular Istanbul sights; the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Ayasofia (Hagia Sofia), Hurrem Sultan's Baths, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Basilica Cistern and loads of shopping – I suggest the Arasta bazaar next to the Blue Mosque, which is smaller and less intense than the Grand Bazar.

The best part of the hotel is the location - being located in the Sultanahmet, one can walk to the main attractions, be it the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque or the quaint little cafes and shopping outlets.

but not least the hotel is so close to historical places like Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace,… so you don’t need to pay for taxi to reach to these famous sightseeing and also a tram station (sultanahmed station) is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

Location was also excellent, I could even walk to the Blue mosque for prayers, also there are other old mosques such as the Little Hagia Sophia mosque just a couple of minutes away.

Hotel is in a quite area in SultanAhmet and an easy walk to major attractions like Blue mosque and Aya Sophia.

Location is great, 5-10 minutes walk to Sultanahmed Masjid (Blue Mosque) and near Haghia Shopia and Topkapi palace.

Hotel is 5 mins walk to the Blue Mosque area so couldn't ask for a better location.

Both properties are in perfect locations.

This fabulous traditional Turkish hotel is located in a terrific location.

I had a very restful stay with Ada in the most perfect little location of old city Istanbul - Views from the breakfast room are wonderful and by balcony view also was impressive.

Due to the hotel's location in one of the best parts of Europe, Istanbul, we were able to easily walk to antiquities such as the mosque in the shortest possible time.

First of all - an extremely convenient location.

It is warm, comfortable and the best location you could hope for!

The location is great, the staff were lovely, the hotel was nice and clean, and they served an amazing traditional Turkish breakfast, all at a very reasonable price.

Location is in the centre of Sultanahmet (Old City) close to the Arasta bazaar, the grand bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Basilica cistern, and the main tram lines which connect to Galata, Karaköy, Taksim, etc.

Location is wonderful central, its just 3-5 mins by walk bluemosque, sophia and chinese restaurants.

What am saying is the location is just great.

It is also perfectly located for touring the sights of Istanbul on foot.

At the breakfast time, we go the terrace at the 5th floor, which is widely facing the Marmara sea, and find various type of food in the buffet, beside  those ladies upstairs who welcome us with smiley face all the times.

There are several restaurants in the area.

The Ada Hotel Istanbul is near these landmarks: Kucuk Ayasofya - Gazi Suleyman Pasa Mosque, Keyfi Alem Playstation Cafe, Eurosa Travel, Hayal İstanbul Maltepe, Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Apostolo e Santa Sofia Vedova, Covered Bazaar, Sultan II.

The hotel manager and staff were very kind and friendly and the hotel environment was very clean and we also ate a variety of delicious breakfasts every day.

It has a nice bed and a mini fridge and very close to downtown and restaurants.

Breakfast is in the cafe on the top floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the Marmara Sea where Little Hagia Sophia, two nearest mosques (Sokollu Mehmed Pasha and Iskender Aga), the remains of Constantinople walls and the Yenikapı complex can be seen.

Breakfast was fresh,just cooked ,very tasty, home made and had a very good variety!

There are great restaurants and rooftop terraces all around.

They give hugs, laughs and push way too much food on me [see photo].

There are a huge lot of food varieties and the hotel food staffs take special care of each and every guest individually and as per his or her food taste.

There is great rooftop restaurant right next to the hotel, very convenient, so if you are back at the hotel and too tired to go out for a meal specially at a the end of the day this one remains open till late at night.

The apartment is a short walk from all tourist sites in Saltanamet as well as restaurants and grocery shops.

Bright and clean accommodation with tasty breakfast enough to feed an army.

The food was homemade, filling, and delicious.

Whether it is arranging transport to the hotel, making restaurant reservations, checking weather forecasts, booking tours, walking to departure points to confirm all is in order, making telephone calls to ensure that everything is running smoothly, or simply giving good, informed advice, Dr Sumengen quietly and efficiently handles it all!

From organizing trips to offering advice to even small things like ordering food for their guests…it’s all amazing.

Finally, I'm very picky about beds and I've never had anything uncomfortable at the Ada Hotel.

At first we were a bit uncomfortable when we went in to the  building because it looks  a little cramped

I was on a duty trip so it was quite uncomfortable to type letters sitting on the bed.

From the reception to the breakfast wich is so so so yummy and on the terrace with a view.

We stayed for8 nights in one bedroom apartment.It had a great sea view with balcony.The rooms were very clean and comfortable.Everything was perfect.Amazing breakfast was made by two gorgian ladies (magda and maya)that were so nice,friendly and helpful.Two young men in reception were very responsible and helpful.Location was good.I absolutely recommend Ada hotel .

Great views out to the water, nice cozy rooms.

The restaurant of the hotel is on the roof, so you have a very nice view when you have your breakfast.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite with a beautiful sea view from the window.

Their rooftop breakfast with a beautiful and relaxing view towards the sea (and overlooking a charming neighborhood mosque).

I've also stayed in the Sea View room with the jacuzzi tub.

We could see the Bosphorus from our window and from the breakfast terrace on the top floor the view was tremendous!

Close, at walking distance, to all main sightseeing points, with a wonderful view from rooms and breakfast up floor.

I had booked a suite with a Balcony and sea view.

Rooms are wide and have jakuzi & big screen TV, breakfast fresh and girls making omlet for you in a second, hotel was clean, upper floor rooms has amazing view.

The location is great and the roof terrace has great views of the blue mosque and hagia Sophia.

A perfect location for the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Palace, various spice markets/bazaars and the Sultan Ahmet Parki where you can pick up the ''hop on hop off bus' to tour the city.

We stayed at Uyan Hotel for 5 nights in the Blue Mosque Corner Room.

The hotel is just   aa few steps from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia.

We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace, morning and night, with a panoramic view of the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus/Sea of Marmara.

Uyan is a 3 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and a 5 min walk from the Sultanahmed Trolly stop.

It’s clean, the room was spacious AND it’s a great location to the important sites in Istanbul including the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia.

Hotel is located few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia.

Best thing with the hotel is its location and is very close to all Important tourist places like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc.

We stayed here for 5 nights, I went for this hotel due to the location as advice on a first visit to Istanbul seemed geared towards staying in Sultanahmet area, in hind sight I wouldn't actually agree with that advice

The biggest highlight is the location (perfect) and the reception staff.

Perfectly located for the Topkapi, the mosques and bazaar.

In terms of location, it is fantastic and cannot be faulted.

The location is ideal close to sultanahmet place in the historical center of Istanbul.

Uyan Hotel is located in the old part of Istanbul (Sultanahmet) and there is consequently no noise from traffic or late-night bars and discos.

Pros: amazing location - walking distance to Sultanahmet area.

The only pro of this place is the location.

The hotel's location is perfect, very close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia.

Good price for a clean hotel in a top location.

For what I understood (I might be wrong), most of the "poor" and "terrible" reviews to be read on TA date back from the previous manager, so there seems to be much to her credit.

Breakfast is nice, the only poor moment - almost all the same food everyday.

Like others have noted many of the major sites just a couple of minutes walking, and I am a slow walker.

but I found it pretty slow and it was prone to drop out on occasion.

But they are pretty slow to restock the scrambled egg.

Internet is available in the room or outside, sometimes a bit slow,

although the roof terrace view more than makes up for this.

Good breakfast with pleasant view.. Staff helpful & polite.

Take your earplugs if the morning (sunrise) call to prayer disturbs you.

The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are modern and the breakfast is great (you can't beat having breakfast with that view!).

When I booked, I saw very nice pictures including a view of the mosque.

Remember to explore the rooftop - you will get a good view of the surroundings.

but pleasing, sunny and (as above) with a good outlook.

Be aware that this proximity means even with earplugs you will likely wake up from the sunrise call to prayer.

You can enjoy a terrace with breathtaking views.

There is only one Blue Mosque Corner Room in the hotel (it has a nice view of the Blue Mosque) and we had taken care to book that specific room on the hotel's website several weeks before our arrival.

We had a room on the top (4th) floor with a view of the Bosphorous and partial view of the Blue Mosque.

Hotel Uyan is an excellent staying hotel located in the heart of the old city.Most of the monuments are in Sultanahmet square which is just about 3 to 4 minutes walk from the hotel.Very friendly and helpful staff.From the terrace can view Blue mosque and sofiya museum.Mr.Khadir at the reception is a friendly man ,Very helpful.As soon as we arrived he took us to the room,terrace and explained to us about how to go about the sight seeing.Thanks Mr.Khadir

Hotel Uyan is next to Sultanahmet Square, great view of Hagia & Blue Mosque from 3 floor rooms facing north and top of the hotel.

We had breakfast in the rooftop which offered an amazing view of the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia from  the back side of the hotel and the sea at the other side.

Our balcony had an amazing view of all the wonderful landmarks, including the Blue Mosque.

Spent our last night drinking a glass of wine on the hotel terrace with the view of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Bosphorus! Unforgettable.

Then, most importantly, the hotel is at walking distance from the main places to visit: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque (at the time of this review it is under restoration, unfortunately)  Topkapi Palace and the Cistern.

I stayed at the Rast Hotel, the stay was lovely, the service was amazing, the staff were so helpful and friendly, (especially Sevgi & Hazal), was so welcoming That too it is amazing to have breakfast in the trace with a great view of Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque

At the Rast Hotel, one is surrounded by amazing historical places —Aya Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, little Aya Sofia, bazaars, great restaurants, trams, park, tour buses —marvellous.

Rast Hotel- A Turkish delight

Located very close to the Hagia Sophia, Bassilica cistern and the Blue Mosque, this Hotel is ideally located for all the touristy stuff- historical site visits as well as shopping at the Grand Bazaar as well as the tram station.

We stayed at the Rast Hotel, the stay was lovely, the service was absolutely amazing, beautiful smiles and Sevgi was so welcoming, super friendly and really tired to make our stay even more wonderful,to top Sevgi's service the breakfast is a open buffet with the most beautiful views overlooking the Blue Mosque and Haji Sofia, highly recommended and will definitely book here again

We chose a full day tour to see the Blue Mosque,  Hagia Sphia and Tpokapi Palce, with a tour of the Jewish Quarter and a visit to the Grand Bazaar where we were allowed 1 1/2 hours to browse and shop.

The hotel has no restaurant, only a breakfast place on the rooftop with nice views looking at the Blue Mosque.

The view was splendid, with sight of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

That too it is an experience to have breakfast in the balcony  with a great view of Hagia Sofia and the blue mosque.

It’s just a few meters from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and other famous attractions.

Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Süleymaniye Mosque, Topkapi Palace and some of the famous bazaars are within short walking distance.

The breakfast is beautiful the view of the blue mosque is beautiful and magnificent.

Just a few meters away from Sultanahmet square, many main sights such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc are within walking distance.

It’s in a perfect location for visiting the main attractions, it staff are polite and very helpful, the breakfast provided a great choice and the room we had was perfect, clean, large and nicely air conditioned.

Perfect Location right next to Tram stop and McDonald’s.

The hotel is located perfectly to walk to most everything we wanted to see.

The hotel is located in a little street that crosses a bigger one, where you can find  T1 Tram Line (one of the main lines that takes you basically to the main touristic places).

Highly recommended as the location is ideal; the staff are very efficient, helpful and courteous; the rooms are comfortable and the Breakfast is awesome, especially the wide spread they had on Sunday.

We choose to stay at Rast hotel due to its location close to most of the places we wanted to visit, and the nice view from their roof top restaurant.

Pros;
-Location is amazing- close to main mosques, tourist destinations, tramway, restaurants- all within 1-5 minutes walking distance
-Hotel staff are very friendly and informative- speak English for those who need it.

The best thing about this hotel is the location.

Rast Hotel is centrally located, well connected and close to lot of restaurants.

We loved it for it’s great location in Sultanahmet.

The ambience is not helped by very poor lighting with common areas, in particular, very dark and dingy.

but due to poor maintenance ,looks old and dirty.

Unfortunately the bathroom had a funny smell and the laundry service was poor.

Good breakfast, decent shower and bed, make up for many shortcomings - poor lighting in rooms and landings, Centrally controlled air-conditioning cannot be adjusted, TV in room was the size of a tablet and had very poor reception of international channels, no second key, no laundry service.

However it has resulted in me rating them "poor" on service,

I stated that I was  not happy with the fact that we had recieved so poor a statrt to our honeymoon.

Rast Hotel and their terrace cafe are incredible!

The reception are excellent people and the breakfast was great and the terrace has a beautiful view, all the staff have a beautiful smile, and the room service answers fast, the rooms are very good.

This street is lively, full of restaurants and little shops to buy souvenirs (currency exchange offices are there as well).

The food taste amazing and is fresh it’s just there isn’t a major variety- especially for picky eaters or kids.

There are many restaurants and cafe' including Starbucks to eat at.

The restaurant view on the 6th floor won me over.

Room was always clean, stuff was helpful and friendly, food was delicious, the view from terrace was amazing.

No restaurant is available at the hotel for any other meals.We used to sit in the evenings there and enjoy.

I had a wonderful time and I’ve been super taking care off, one of the highlights of this hotel is the view of the terrace, is breathtaking!

The Alzer hotel is right next to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia Mosque.

The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia.

Nice location, right in front of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia.
