 - Galata tower is on 2min walk, Istiklal street on 5min, 5-7min to Galata bridge (20min by foot to Hagia Sophia or couple stations with tram), so it is a really good location to stay in especially if you are visiting Istanbul for a couple of days.

 - It is an easy walk to İstiklal Street as well as to the tram station, the tunnel and the subway.

 - We had sleepless nights because of the hot temperatures at night and there were no good air conditioner.

 - A minimalist and modern hotel with a perfect central location.
 - Such a great location!
 - The location is perfect ( next to the galata tower, istiklal street, taksim) and the terrace has an outstanding view on Istanbul.
 - The location is quite good if you want to stay at the center of the restaurants, as within a maximum of 10 mins walk you are in the heart of Taxim street, here shops stay open past midnight and its always super crowded.
 - Great hotel, fantastic location a few minutes from Galata tower.

 - Our room had only a small window with no view.
 - Instead we were given a ground flood room with NO WINDOW!
 - Only negatives were the steep walk to the Galata tower and local restaurants, and proximity of a minaret making the call to pray loud if the window was open.
 - Since the room I had booked did not have a window with day light, they had upgraded me to a room that did allow daylight, and this room was indeed very nice except that the extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and the toilet flush was very slow.

 - I talked to the staff twice about it and the guy claimed to fix it,

 - Cons: hallways and rooms a bit tired and in need of a renovation.
 - Stay away please unless they do a thorough renovation
 - Although the room was big it was outdated and noisy.
 - but not unreasonably so, and I think it can be considered on par with the quality and condition of the room at Grand Hyatt next door which is not new and shiny either.
 - Only two small things that can be improved before the hotels goes for a room renovation.

 - They provided us with a great room with a view of the Bosporus, (picture perfect view) walking distance to many great locations such as Dolmabahce Palace, Vodafone arena, not too far from Galata Tower.
 - Place is very close to Dolmabahce Palace.

 - Next is the outdoor smoking area/bar is closed so the only place for a beer and a smoke is on the street , with one ashtray surrounded by bus drivers.
 - This led me to believe that we were surrounded by smoking rooms, (either above or beneath us), and that the smoke was coming in through the a.c vents.
 - I went to a non smoking room and as i enter guess what.. full of smoke smell.
 - however to have a room not smelling of stale smoke.
 - For a non smoking room the rooms did reek of smoke which was unpleasant & I noticed that when I checked into my room it wasn't as clean.

 - Very strange club lounge policy,in most luxury class hotels using the club lounge is included if you are staying in a suite,in this hotel they will charge you.
 - I was quickly ushered to the club lounge where I was checked in seamlessly.

 - The club lounge well staffed
 - The food at the club lounge was brilliant and to be honest, we could have saved on dinner and just eaten all our meals there as the service was exceptional and the variety and freshness of the food served was beyond expectation.

 - Small rooms
 - First night we was in very small room 2 people cant walk inside.
 - The room was still a bit small.
 - My one complaint has to do with the rooms - our 1st room was small,
 - but it is situated in a tiny room in the basement where there is almost no one present, so it can be a little bit creepy down there at time.

 - I am sorry no I will not gonna accept that i paid for a 5 stars hotel to feel comfortable during my stay in Istanbul.
 - I was about to put the lowest possible rate cause it took more than two weeks to refund extra deposit.
 - The menu is quite limited and overpriced
 - Lastly the price point of it relatively higher than other properties of similar or higher status due to the fact that its door opens to a main road in the vicinity.
 - but were told the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t move to another room (we offered to pay for any upgrade fees due).

 - The sound proofing on the windows could be reviewed to reduce noise from the nearby street.
 - When we questioned the city view Erhan the manager said they do not have any rooms with a city view - the hotel was in the city and we could keep the window closed!
 - but it would probably be annoying if you wanted the windows open.
 - The only downside was the proximity to the tram line that was a little intrusive even with windows closed, and the very expensive minibar in the room.
 - They are not, while the windows when shut do dampen some of the tram noise that run till midnight & the traffic on the road.
