Breakfast was included in our room rate - and there was a good selection of fruit, cold meats, salad, danishes,rolls,toast, bacon and scrambled egg

We had a lovely walk to St Peter's Basilica from the hotel and found some lovely places to eat in Trastevere.

There is also a lovely Basilica in the centre which is worth visiting.

Vatican City is large and the entrance to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel is on Viale Vaticano , the north side of the city while St Peter’s Basilica is on the South East.

Try La Cisterna (ask for Romero and the special tour of the ancient cistern in the basement).

She also gave us a GREAT recommendation for a restaurant in the neighborhood specifically to enjoy all four classic Roman pastas.

Being in the Travestere area meant the best place for restaurants!

The other team members went above and beyond to answer questions, help us book meals, and offered warm greetings every time we returned to the hotel.

Perfect to come and go when it suits you as run until after midnight, with restaurants close by (you can even jump on the tram to get closer

The breakfast is OK for being in Italy, a bit put of by the fruitflies around the food.

but with the tram stop outside it really  is incredibly easy to get around and being close to restaurants in Trastevere is a bonus for eating out in the evening!

but it allowed us to explore and find different restaurants along the way, so we didn’t mind!).

Tram and bus stops are just outside and a good restaurant a minute away(L'Orange).

but this will be remedied next time as we intend to book again next year, for a week this time.There are some amazing restaurants within walking distance and a tram every few minutes to take you into the centre of Rome.

The breakfast is excellent and the staff in the restaurant and the rooftop are very caring and attentive with big smile.

The location is amazing-very close to the best eating and drinking In Trastevere and either a half hour walk to the centre or a short tram ride (there is a tram stop right outside).

There are so many traditional restaurants nearby you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Our favourite part of our stay was the roof top bar, we went for drinks every evening, food was lovely too.

Great location within walking distance to the best neighborhood in Rome for restaurants and bars, and also very close to public transit and the Trastevere Railway Station.

The hotel is right beside Trastevere with an abundance of restaurants and pubs.

Their rooftop bar is beautiful and the drinks are actually some of the best we had on our whole journey.

We had an amazing evening on the 8th floor rooftop bar, the staff were so friendly and really made our night.

The hotel is incredibly nice, great location, big and comfortable rooms, amazing SPA (one of the best), nice indoor pool, and super super cool rooftop bar, perfect for aperitivo with stunning view.

The hotel has a fabulous bar on the rooftop with lovely views and the rooms are beautiful.

Hotel is well looked after & the rooftop bar is a lovely place to chill out at the end of the day.

The room was small as well as the shower (normal sized man can’t turn without bumping into the glass) 
Showering together is impossible.

However the shower was very small and my partner could barely fit (6ft broad shoulders) 
Also the tea and coffee caddy had not been refilled which to me is such a simple thing to do so there was some random teas one sugar and one milk ?

I know some people found the shower small, however I liked the shower and didn't find it too small,

The rooms are small and ours only had a shower rather than a bath

Bathroom was small, hard to get dry after having a shower and not a lot of space to move.

The bathroom was tiny and it was not what you expected for a 4 star hotel It seems old and needs maintenance.

but well equipped and well air-conditioned the shower was small and had an unnecessary seat inside but the bathroom was sufficient for our needs.

but the shower was a small jet shower cubicle with a seat, which made it tricky to use (with no instructions) and turning around very difficult.

but the shower stall was tiny and awkward.

Now to the rest of the review…..The room was fine, nothing elaborate and the shower was quite small and fiddly to manouvre.

The only negative I can think of was the small shower which looked like a little time travel machine.

Shower was on the tiny side as it had a turkish steam thing with a seat.

The only criticism is that the rooms are quite small,

The room was small with 1 toilet for 4 of us, so we had to use the toilet downstairs.

but rather than have to sit in our hot, tiny room with no lights, aircon or power whatsoever, we tried the rooftop bar where it was cool and we could get a drink, only to be told they were closing.

..had we not, the room would have been tiny.

Arrived late and to be honest we were probably tired and not in a great mood, so first impressions on our rooms were they were quite small and we weren't that impressed.

I arrived late on a Friday evening, was greeted with a smile and offered a complimentary welcome drink on the rooftop terrace/patio.

We stayed here and could not be more impressed with the great service we had from the very helpful staff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, a big reason for why I perhaps would choose the hotel again.

The location is also great in charming Trastevere, with a lot of small charming restaurants and very close to the tram into Rome city center.

The location, with the tram stops outside the front door, is very convenient.

The hotel is a short tram trip to the sights of Rome and has a lovely roof top terrace open daily.

Other then that I would recommend this hotel for the close proximity to public transportation and getting to the local attractions in Rome.

The tram was right beside the hotel and it was very easy to get to the sights from the hotel.

Perfect location in the middle of the old town, within walking distance to all major sights like the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Gülhane Park, Basilica Cistern.

A must see also being the Basilica Cistern as advised by the wonderful Zumre.

The location is excellent and is a relaxing walk to all the sights (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern) and close to the shops.

The Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern 5- 10 minute walk depending on your pace.

Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance, Blue Mosque, Ayasofya/Hagia Sophia Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topaki Palace to name a few!

The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazar, Spice Bazar and Eminonu ferry port are either a 10 - 20 minute walk away or very quick journey on the same T1 tram line, depending on direction of travel on that line.

The location is great; a ten minute stroll to Gulhane park, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, and the waterfront.

Other attractions such as Basilica Cistern are also amazing and the people of Istanbul very kind.

The Romance Istanbul Hotel is very well situated in Sirkeci - a short stroll to Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basillica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, & Spice Bazaar.

Near to palace, Blue mosque, Egyptian Bazaar, grand Bazaar, haghia Sophia, cistern and the tram line.

The breakfast is excellent,a lot of different varieties,everyday different type of hot food to choose from,Turkish food as well as other options, the bed is very comfortable and the room is always perfectly cleaned,the location is in the center of historical sightseeings,blue mosque,haghia Sophia,basilicca cistern is all walking distance

The location is great too, Topaki, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Cistern are just a short walk away.

The hotel is close to the bazaars, cistern and Hagia Sophia - so very well located if you like walking around.

Also it is perfectly situated in the heart of Sultanahmet close to Topkapi Palace Hagia Sofia Blue Mosque The Cistern and Grand Bazaar.

The room was comfortable, room service was amazing and the location is superb as the hotel is in the thick of most historic sites and shopping arras of IST.

We have stayed in this hotel for a week,location was great,right at the heart of the city,amazing style,very ottoman and historical,kind staff,zumre helped us alot, they are all helpful,we will definitely come back

Perfect location in the middle of the historic centre, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, beautiful rooms and great breakfast.

but really this wasn't my fault so he shouldn't have been unhappy with me.

but mixed weather meant limited use - not the hotel’s fault I know.

The only small criticism, which is not the fault of the hotel, is that it can be a little noisy at night due to the local bars and the tramway that goes right past the front door.

I had a cold for the first two days (I blame my sister lol) and they made sure I had plenty of mint tea to soothe my throat, without me having to ask they offered.


It is difficult to find fault with this stay!

When we had a minor lighting issue in our room, they went above and beyond to fix it.

Nonetheless, after a bit of a delay, we were on our way and the hotel worked to fix the problem as soon as they were aware of it.

Decoration: All the fittings and fixtures of the hotel have been custom-made to give a definite sense of traditional style, with an emphasis on ornate, period gilded-wood furniture, heavy drapes, floral wallpaper and velvet or satin upholstery, chandeliers and glass pendant lighting fittings and wrought-iron work.

The bathroom was separated by glass walls with curtains on the inside, which, when pulled open, created an even more airy and open space.

It had a tiny ante, a small balcony and a glass walled bathroom.

The bathroom it a bit odd in that it has glass walls with curtains.

The glass walls also mean there is just one hook right next to the shower to hang towels and robes, which can maybe hold one, two with difficulty.

The bathroom is a bit strange, a room within a room, a glass box with curtains.

The toilets were very clean and the only problem i had with it was that it had glass walls backed with almost transparent curtains.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff Zumre guest relations was extremely helpful.

Guest relations Zumre checked up on us to make sure we had what we needed during the stay.

The old town is very interesting part of Istanbul, so much to see and to do, had amazing time, great small hotel in the centre of old town, staff is kind and helpful, everyone helped us a lot, zumre guest relations was always kindly assisted us

Highly recommended to everyone and book directly, way cheaper compared to external sites, again added bonus!

The staff look after you and every morning we enjoyed a chitchat with Zumre ( from guest relations) who gave us some really good advice on where to visit including a map with quicker routes to get around, she even recommended places to eat around the area!

We stayed as family in this hotel for 6days and we really enjoyed our stay rooms are cleaned very well good location the stuff specially are very friendly humble helpful and always greet u with a beautiful smile that u can see thru their mask and specially the breakfast stuff,Ramazan receptionist,zumre guest relations are amazing. .

When we got to our room it was so spacious and luxurious, we didn't want to leave.

The room was really relaxing, luxuriously decorated and a most comfortable bed.

If this was the best room , I wasn’t impressed.

The hotel staff were then very helpful and accommodated me in the room as I was recovering.

Rooms were large and extremely comfortable with sound proofing and supplied with generous complementary toiletries.

The rooms were very clean and through out the week Meral (house keeping) made sure that the rooms up to standard and clean.

Turkish hospitality is thé first thing you feel in this hotel,all thé small details has been thought,coffee machine in thé rooms and there is a cute spa centre bit make sure you make reservation in advanced,thé service is very good,thank you zumre

We stayed in this hotel for a week,everything was great,service is amazing,room was spacious and tastefullydecorated,there is spa centre

Gonul in housekeeping kept our room beautifully clean all week.

Our room is authentic and posh , especially its design.

The rooms are well cleaned and extremely lovely.

Pool and facilities 8/10

Excellent pool, sauna and steam room we used them daily,

The Spa and pool are great and spa staff also helpful and friendly as too are the staff on reception.

The spa facilities are really impressive.

I also had my first Hammam experience at the Hotel- Gamze was really helpful with this and went out of her way to accommodate a suitable timing for us.

Definitely worth checking out the other facilities offered here such as the gym , the spa , and the swimming area.

Best things:
- SPA, reservation needed, and the sauna and the pool are all yours for one hour
- Service.

We did not have time to use the spa or fitness center

Beautiful design, amazing service and wonderful spa centre.

Spa area is good too and the area of the hotel allows you to walk to the most important old heritages of the City.

Also liked hammam & swimming pool 😍 I rlly advise!
