They are all so welcoming and friendly and go that extra mile to make your stay a great one (one even saw the tea me at breakfast and quickly swapped it out for a much better one without any ask - it’s little gestures like this that really adds to the experience).

The waitressing staff are polite and very friendly-thank you Sukru for helping me with the trams & Fathime, Celine & Sukru for the friendly hello every morning.

I stay in this hotel several times because its my favorite in location every thing is near to it marmary  and the tram station and its  rooms very clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast  and very friendly staff

The shower was a little wierd, the bath doesn't drain unless you take out the plug.

I had forgotten to bring a plug adaptor with me and they were quick to lend me one for the duration of my stay.

We had the wonderful breakfast buffet and didn’t really need a lot more to eat the rest of the day.

The evening reception host was able to secure a table for me for dinner and it was an excellent place to go where views of the city could be found from rooftop dining.

Place is very clean and next to tram and lots of shopping and eateries.

Especially Sukru with all his suggestions of restaurants and helping make reservations and also helped us to navigate the place and arrange our tours.

What impressed us the most about this hotel was not the incredible accommodations, meals and amenities.

The hotel is also in a convenient spot around restaurants, the tram, a gorgeous park and walking distance from alot of attractions.

Dining is great - great buffet, attended by great staff, afternoon tea, water and fruits when you go out, and great recommendations for restaurants in any area of the city.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of tasty choices.

Among the many kindnesses, they made dinner reservations, arranged for round trip airport transfer (well worth the money for weary travelers), recommended activities,  and were consistently indulgent, patient and kind.

Staff was very accommodating with restaurant recommendations and arranging for PCR test (required for re-entry to US) at hotel.

but on a quote street, close to some very nice restaurants.

With local tourist sites are very close with lots of restaurants near by and near bazaar

The Sirkeci Mansion is near these landmarks: Kucuk Ayasofya - Gazi Suleyman Pasa Mosque, Eurosa Travel, Keyfi Alem Playstation Cafe, Hayal İstanbul Maltepe, Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Apostolo e Santa Sofia Vedova, Covered Bazaar, Sultan II.

The hotel arranged the trip to Bursa and Uludag for us with one of their tour agents which was good price at 40USD per person which included pickup/dropoff, lunch, cable ride.

Would definitely stay here again as it is so well situated to walk to everything and a great array of restaurants nearby without having to wander too far in the evenings.

Upon arrival, we were placed in a room that had a bit of a smokey odour (from a recent fire down the street).

The hotel has a sauna, small pool and gamma!

Though if your interested in swimmkng, the pool is really small.

but the biggest win for this hotel is the staff, who are all excellent.

We travel a lot and have never experienced such welcoming hospitality.

The staff is amazing and supportive, We missed our ride to the airport, they helped us find a ride, then we lost our passport and they again helped us.

From the moment we walked in, we were genuinely and warmly greeted at the front desk by Araz.

It’s in the old historic Centre near the Hagia Sophia & Gülhane Park area so it’s a great for walking to mosques of interest and the Grand Bazaar too.

He is happy to make reservations for pretty much anything, and he conducts in-depth tours (complementary to hotel guests, with culinary walk adding a nominal fee) that you should definitely join.

The hotel has a very convenient location for walking around all the great sights of Istanbul.

I found this place by accident as I was walking through the city.

You can also walk to the Spice Bazaar and Grand Bazzaar.

If you dont like to walk, you have a tram stop just about 50 meters away, and Marmary train station also close by.

but unheard from the hotel, and you're a short walk to the Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, and other sites in one direction, a short walk in the other direction to Eminonu, the ferry piers, Galata Bridge, New Mosque and Rustem Pasa, Gulhane Park a minute away, and both touristy and non-touristy shopping and restaurants everywhere.

Unbeatable location opposite the green Gulhane park and short walk to both tram and Marmaray stations, we lived in the atmospheric Sirkeci area

It was perfect experience,  hotel location is great , staff are very coperative abd speak english very well , rooms are comfortable  clean and have nice view .1 minute walking to Gulhana Tram ( T1) and 5 minutes walking to sirkeci Marmaray .

The manager of the hotel, Okay, is wonderful and provides some very interesting walking tours of the city which are free and provide a great insight into this culturally fascinating city.

Easy to walk around the late evening considering we were here only for a few hours

but quiet hotel, a very short walk to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Galata Bridge and water transport.

Skalion Hotel with its pleasant ambience and staff made me feel comfortable and completed my staying in Istanbul.

The ambience and atmosphere everyday in the hotel is pleasant, the staff were amazing and so accomodating, especially CIGDEM who I could write a whole review about as she was simply phenomenal and treats you as her own family.

Thank you for letting us to use for half an hour one of the hotel rooms after the check out time due to some emergency.

some rumors in the room due to conditioning system and a window to an internal dark garden.

The area is very busy day/night due to collections/deliveries of wholesale manufacturing goods.

We changed room after the first night, because we barely could sleep due to the smell from the air conditioner.

Many a time were we found not finding a place to sit for breakfast and the variety was limited compared to my previous experiences in hotels in Istanbul 

Being Turkish I will come to Istanbul again yet I would not stay in the hotel due to the location - it is not ideal to walk up and down the hill to where the restaurants, museums and shopping are.

We had to use another hotel on our first night due to some water leakage, 

They provide very tasty breakfast  what made my stay perfect is the friendly staff at the hotel.

This place is a gem, you will get the value for your money and the fact that the booking here is budget friendly is mind blowing.

In addition, different considerations i took when booking a hotel is the location, Hotel is located only a 5minutes walk from the main street where all the shops and restaurants are located, where there is a metro station for easy transportation, the location is simply AMAZING.

In the main area, multiple shops, restaurants and attractions are nearby.

Near the hotel there are great food options, a pharmacy (if you need it for emergencies), and small shops.

Breakfast adequate, evening dinner ok.  Close to grand bazar and lots of fab shops

So many different places to eat from, from low budget to classy and also when you come out of the hotel, on the left and then your first turn to the right there is another square/ food court (2 mins walk) with water fountain.

Special mention to the restaurant staff Çiğdem and Gul.

breakfast has many choices, vegans have a lot of options to eat.

And i should not forget the food, it was so delicious, it was literally the best food i ate in my life !

We had no problem eating and finding food late nights.

From the first entry, every friend working in the restaurant greets you with great energy.

Close to lots of restaurants and a 10 minute walk to Sultan Ahmet city centre and the grand bazaar.

but I must say, that the turkish cuisine wasn’t represented well enough.

They were surrounded by many services (supermarkets, ATM, exchange and restaurants) and all less than 5 mins by walk.

The Friday night they had life music we also had food in restaurant yet again beautiful food so well done chef's.

The restaurant is very clean, every meal we eat is very delicious.

They were surrounded by many services (a pharmacy, 3 supermarkets, bank with ATM, exchange currency store, mobil services store and the street is full of restaurants) and all less than 5 mins on foot.

It will depend on the food types you like

The other lady staff in evening was much well behaved and helpful.

We received excellent service during our stay, great guidance and support from the front desk with regards to tourist spots in the city, and all the staff were wonderful!

One person I need to mention is Milyan..( I hope I spelt her name right..) so kind, enthusiastic and caring of your needs while staying at this hotel..

Some of the shower doors did not fully close meaning water leaked out onto floor and walls also.

The walls seem thin, as i could hear noises coming from other rooms.

The walls are quite thin and we could hear the conversations of the quests next room.

but the walls don't contain the sounds well and for 2 nights, we were subjected to our next door inconsiderate neighbors' loud amorous pursuits.

I suppose a soundtight solution on the walls would make the rooms even smaller, that´s why it has not been done.

Cons : the wi-fi is weak at the 6th floor , A/C a little noisy , the inside walls are very thin and if you have a chatty neighbor . .

Another downside is the noise from the other rooms because of the paper thin walls.

Fine food, exquisite decorations, stirring fragrances inside -  all these contirbuted to the adoration for Instanbul.

Good atmosphere and very good shisha recommendations.

My partner booked it for my surprise 30th and the hotel went above and beyond to make it extra special from decorating the room and the staff coming out at breakfast with a cake and wishing me happy birthday.

Attractions such as Cicek Passage for night reverly and Dolmabahce Palace, The Naval Museum and Rizem Museum of Painting are within a walk. P.S.

I enjoyed my stay there in a very comfortable and welcoming environment.

This place has the best shisha lounge in Istanbul, great food and the ambiance is just a vibe.

Great service and calm environment, throughout my stay i’d go to STELLA CAFÉ at CVK and work on some business, Mr. Faik there was a very genuine individual who worked there at the Cafe and made my time there very comfortable and convenient.
