This lovely hotel is ideally located just a few minutes away from the key attractions of Istanbul (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc).

We were within short walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Market, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofya, the Blue Mosque, the Roman Cistern and a sea of Restaurants and shops.

Steps away from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque with numerous cute restaurants everywhere you look.

A few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hippodrome.

The location was perfect, 7 minutes walk to the main attractions (Aya Sofia, the blue mosque) and to the tram station.

This hotel is located on Sultanahmet, 2 minutes on foot from the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia and a few meters from Tram station to take you across the Galata Bridge.

Within minutes you can reach to the main historical places such as Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque.

We were with a friend in this hotel for two nights, we were very satisfied, 3 minutes walk to the blue mosque, clean comfortable room, very good-natured helpful staff.

White House Hotel Istanbul is located in the heart of the historical peninsula and it is within few munites walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Archeology Museum, the Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar.

We were only minutes away to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.Actually I chose the hotel fort his reason.But we arrived here ,from the first moment until we leave this wonderful property,we felt very happy every moment we spent here.Especially the staff and the owner himself are there for you all the time.This is the key point for a good vacation.We had breakfast at the top floor.Very nice view and delicious dishes every morning.Thanks to all the staff and Mr.Harun making our stay the best.

The location is top, two minutes from the Blue Mosque.

The location of the hotel is excellent within easy reach of all mean tourist attractions Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque and the main tram station.

In addition the location was the best hagia sophia and blue mosque, great bazaar and species and atmosphere of the area.

It is a 10 minute stroll to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.

It is surrounded by the main touristic attractions such as Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Basillica Cistern.

Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque are only a few minutes away from the hotel.

The room is very comfortable and the roof top has such a beautiful view of the Mosque.

Wonderful staff; great location close to the top attractions, the tram line, and nearby restaurants; impeccably clean and comfortable room (we loved the rose petal touch); and a very nice breakfast on the top floor with a view of the top of the Haggia Sofia.

The room was clean and cozy and i also appreciated the fact that the hotel was not too much big since you breathed a familiar atmosphere.

Amazing location (2 minutes away from every place you must go in Istanbul), super nice, kind and helpful staff, very clean rooms and common areas, nice typical breakfast.

The room was well equipped and clean, I must say the location is perfect!

The breakfast room is on the roof with a lovely view of Istanbul and the water.

The bathroom is also small, and the shower is enclosed in a small circular area like if you look a cruise ship voyage and had those showers.

A previous review mentioned the shower was too small - this person must’ve been the size of a small elephant as I am 6foot and quite hefty yet the shower was perfect.

However,single rooms are a little tight on space planning.The toilets are very small !

but we were disappointed to see that the room is hyper small, bathroom is also small and bed is double.

although the bathroom was a little too small.

On the down side the rooms were a bit small

Namely non-sound-proof walls, a small room with no view, occasional sewer smells, lack of storage space, and unsatisfactory breakfast selection (which, to be fair, is to be expected at a smaller hotel).

The room we had for 6 nights was small, (standard double) that we booked on Expedia.

The only draw back is the rooms are somewhat small (which is ok) and have little to no storage space (this is the biggest challenge- no counter space to store your belongings between days).

The rooms are small (think London) and the hotel has no other amenities like a pool or fitness center etc.

though the room was on the small side; albeit within minutes of the hagia sofia and blue mosque.

The hotel is small and I think just has 14 rooms.

If you want something different from the Hilton/Hyatt experience give the White House a try.

All in all, this is by far the best hotel to stay in Istanbul, especially if you have a time crunch since this hotel is walking distance from all major landmarks and they have the best hospitality!

Short walk just 2 minutes to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace.

A few meters from the, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace.

A few more minutes to Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

The hotel is located in the very center, it is difficult to think of a better location relative to the main attractions (walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and much more).

negative: the walls are too thin so you can here people next to you and it makes noisy, the price is a little high for what it is.

Tourist attractions ; What we did not expect was that it has a historic abandoned hamam in front, Old Hagia Sofia (read about it :) ) and Old city walls in 1 mins walk.

Only downside is the thin walls and street noise

Walls are extremely thin and you can easily hear a conversation next door or even the tv.

The main historical sites can be accessed by foot as the hotel is very close to the Blue Mosque , Hippodrome and Hagia Sofia.

We were impressed  by this hotel, good location in the centre of Old Town, close to Blue Mosque and all famous

I liked the style of this hotel , one of the best properties around, the room are very clean and very close to the palace and Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar the cooperative staff.

The hotel is on the superb location (5 min walk from aya sofia and blue mosque), service is excellent with everyone being very helpful and ready to provide you with any information or help you need.

Perfect location in the middle of the historic centre, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, beautiful rooms and great breakfast.

but really this wasn't my fault so he shouldn't have been unhappy with me.

but mixed weather meant limited use - not the hotel’s fault I know.

The only small criticism, which is not the fault of the hotel, is that it can be a little noisy at night due to the local bars and the tramway that goes right past the front door.

I had a cold for the first two days (I blame my sister lol) and they made sure I had plenty of mint tea to soothe my throat, without me having to ask they offered.


It is difficult to find fault with this stay!

When we had a minor lighting issue in our room, they went above and beyond to fix it.

Nonetheless, after a bit of a delay, we were on our way and the hotel worked to fix the problem as soon as they were aware of it.

Decoration: All the fittings and fixtures of the hotel have been custom-made to give a definite sense of traditional style, with an emphasis on ornate, period gilded-wood furniture, heavy drapes, floral wallpaper and velvet or satin upholstery, chandeliers and glass pendant lighting fittings and wrought-iron work.

The bathroom was separated by glass walls with curtains on the inside, which, when pulled open, created an even more airy and open space.

It had a tiny ante, a small balcony and a glass walled bathroom.

The bathroom it a bit odd in that it has glass walls with curtains.

The glass walls also mean there is just one hook right next to the shower to hang towels and robes, which can maybe hold one, two with difficulty.

The bathroom is a bit strange, a room within a room, a glass box with curtains.

The toilets were very clean and the only problem i had with it was that it had glass walls backed with almost transparent curtains.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff Zumre guest relations was extremely helpful.

Guest relations Zumre checked up on us to make sure we had what we needed during the stay.

The Spa and pool are great and spa staff also helpful and friendly as too are the staff on reception.

The spa facilities are really impressive.

I also had my first Hammam experience at the Hotel- Gamze was really helpful with this and went out of her way to accommodate a suitable timing for us.

Definitely worth checking out the other facilities offered here such as the gym , the spa , and the swimming area.

Best things:
- SPA, reservation needed, and the sauna and the pool are all yours for one hour
- Service.

We did not have time to use the spa or fitness center

Spa area is good too and the area of the hotel allows you to walk to the most important old heritages of the City.
