The fisrt reason is the location of the hotel then kind staff here😇 we feel here as we are at home.

I am supper happy with everything in this fabulous hotel like stuff location cleanness even the breathing in Yasmak Sultan is different.

I really loved its location because historical places such as Haghia Sophia, Topsail palace, Grand bazaar and many more were just 7-8 minutes walk.

The rooms (or certainly the one I was in) are very small (and in need of some new paint on the walls!).

We really liked the breakfast, all the food were fresh and diffirent variaty!

it is within walking distance to a lot of the major attractions  (Topkapi Palace, Sophia Hagia, Blue Mosque, Cistern Museums, Hop on Hop Off Bus, Archeological Museum etc) There is also loads of restaurants around.

The breakfast was very tasty and very variety.

Nice rooms and cleanning everyday, We loved the breakfast it was eeally tasty.

In the centre of the city,bosphorus,galata bridge,galata tower,karakoy,dolmabahce palace,topkapı palace,suleymaniye mosque,basillica cistern are close by,great breakfast area with bosphorus view and kind staff.

Cons:

- While the street is relatively quiet, the hotel itself is a bit loud and the walls are obviously quite thin.

The walls are a little on the thin side though, on the first night I could hear the next doors TV for a while, word for word whilst I was trying to sleep.

Also can book some tours through them for less hassle and more convenience.

even though you ignore them, they keep talking and staring at you while walking, every time we walk to the hotel we had to go through the experience all over again, very rude and uncomfortable.

I have had previous experiences of a Turkish baths elsewhere and have been made to feel awkward or uncomfortable, this was not the case here.

The mattresses were completely ridden with them.

Worst hotel in sultanahmet, manager on duty don’t care (Elif) and reception staff (Serhat- tall with curly hair) has the worst attitude, dirty bedding which has not been changed in days, bathroom shower filthy and grimy, dust under beds is so thick and can see it has not been swept for long time, I had to first show them the video that I took before they would sweep under beds, service is so bad.

Day 1 woken covered in bed bug bites all over our bodies.

One skimpy pillow on the bed, no internet at night.

So we all had to jam into my one room, and then the hotel tried to charge us for using a rollaway bed.

While I was resting in my bed, I realized that some bugs were running over me and my pillow.

I again called the receptionist to my room upon which we were shown another one with double beds

Problems with tv, problems with the bed, cleaning under the bed is never done,

First night stay in 102, request for queen room

Could hear plates banging and people speaking each morning, had no sunlight in the room, no phone reception, the room was old and bed was really uncomfortable.

The other beds were terrible old and broken.

The room was really small with double bed and a small bathroom not really nothing else.

even though ours faced the street noise was minimal as the road is very narrow, not conducive to excessive traffic, (there are bigger rooms with balconies that over look the courtyard) a fair sized shower room with clean linen daily, toiletries, tea and coffee are also replenished with a small bottle of water for that early morning or late night cuppa.

though the walls are quite thin and the mattress does need replacing.

Rotting wood around doors and windows, mold in the shower.

•	Walls are paper thin – OK if you like listening to the intimacies of the 
        people next door.

but the room needs a refurbishment - the shower door is broken, the shower head needs a replacement and a safety box is not working.

The bathroom was so small it felt like you were in a cupboard and the fixtures and fittings were all in need of repair (the seal on the shower door was hanging off, the shower head was broken and the basin tap was hanging off.

And the beautiful ouside area is actually from another hotel next door.

), member of staff knocking on your door around 10 pm only to ask you (with very broken and hard to understand English) to sign bill for minibar use (and again problem what was and was not used).

The bathroom was also on the  small side; i could not open the door whilst my husband was brushing his teeth at the washbasin, i had to wait until he either came out or stood in the shower - yes it was that tight!

1st night, balcony door cannot be locked, poor wifi, only one power socket;
2nd night, room changed, balcony door is fine, no wifi at all;
3nd night, when we came back, our room door was open, and i do remember when we left in the morning, cleaner get in and started their job.

The balcony room door was poor quality and not easy to securely lock.

And if you have the misfortune to have next door's bathroom by your bed head, as we did, you get used to hearing your neighbours performing their bodily functions in the night and flushing the loo.

but the thin walls and doors and the tunnel effect of the corridor meant we could hear every word of every conversation held at reception, including throughout the night.

There was a sizable gap under the door, and the corridors were all marble.

Noisy, drunk guests and slamming doors at 2-3am made it impossible to sleep and it felt more like a hostel at that time.

The door between the breakfast room and floor should be closed, since it is very noisy, when thea start to prepare the breakfast.

Room was in a corridor very close to the hotel entrance and you could very much hear people in the corridor, rooms next door and above.

Rooms not sound proof, we could hear everything from the room next door and outside.

only slight negative was that there was no lock on the balcony door.

Also I found the security  chain helping keep the door secure was not properly attached to the door frame.

No elevator in this hotel as it had a countryside style.

There is no lift here so if mobility is an issue it is not the hotel for you.

The only drawback is the hotel does not have lift so climbing the floor may be an issue for some people.

No elevator on the building, we had to go on foot to second floor thru escalators.

but needs a serious refurbishment, breakfast awful, terrace dirty, mouldy bathroom, no lift, staff were more than helpful..Thats it really..You are central to everything and surprisingly quiet.

There was no lifts which made going up and down hard for our elderly mum.

There is no lift, so if you are staying on the top floor and are not reasonably fit this could be a challenge.

just one note - there is no lift so you get to exercise the legs several times a day especially to the top floor.

It has no elevators and lots of winding stairs.

The hotel has no lift and majority of the rooms are in the basement, unless you book the 'elegance' rooms.

There is no lift, so ask for a ground floor room - that could be a number starting with 1 or 3 - if you don't want to be trekking up and down stairs.

Although there is no lift at this hotel, there are plenty of ground floor bedrooms.

Another structural limitation is that the Hotel does not have a lift,

but it does not have level ‘disabled access, ‘ or a lift between floors.

Although I find it hard to criticise this hotel, it must be stated that the lack of elevator is problematic for people with any disability or difficulty with the staircases.

Rooftop bar ok, (no lift) prices ok - pint of beer 10 lira, g+t 14 lira.

I'm deeply convinced we found the best location in all of Istanbul, it's a calm and cozy neighborhood yet a 5 (or less) minute walk from Hagia Sophia and all the lively places swarming with tourists from around the world, we were surrounded by many good restaurants.

Hotel is comfy and convenient, located at a very easy place which you walked out 5mins there will be lots of restaurants and convenient store for all your needs.

As we neared the hotel we were impressed by d location s near the Blue Mosque  in a very happening area.

The worst service ever - high prices, very poor breakfast (they literally put bread that was left at guests at one table back to thw basket so other guest take it again).

I could only stay 5 nights due to poor health and safety of my baby and lack of facilities.

but really poor services and rude arrogant staff and air condition is like a joke in this hotel I just checked in and faced wifi weak signal issue / ac not working and no switch plug to charge phone or camera.

Breakfast was a bit poor, with an unvarying selection of cold foods and an absolutely awful and inedible 'selection of lukewarm food (soggy tepid pizza squares, rock hard almost cold boiled eggs, and similar leftovers).

The wifi was poor, we only got it in the bathroom which was very annoying, we spent a lot of evenings hanging out in the bathroom trying to organise our evening out for dinner.

Breakfast was very poor, no croissants, no scramble eggs, no fresh orange juice ( you had to pay extra if you wanted)
It consists of basic cereals, Turkey, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, vegetables, cookies and not much more

but it took us some time to recognise it because of the poor English of the deskpersonal.

however was really quite poor both in the availability and presentation of food.

The balcony is in poor condition and looks towards the sea over rotting and empty buildings.

The view was unbelievable,it was of what looked like an old shed,broken windows & in very poor repair with an old sink thrown on top.

If I had one criticism it was that the view from the single rooms in the annexe came a poor second to those in the main hotel.

Breakfast was poor with very limited choice and tasteless food.

You absolutely must visit the upstairs restaurant on a Saturday night.

The upstairs restaurant was very good and a decent fixed-menu multi-course meal.

We stayed in this hotel for short holiday.Staff is helpfull,and terace restaurant is nice also.Breakfast is rich and delicious.There was a problem ,hotel sound insulation  is not good.And the other thing is,hotels back side wiev a little bad,but if you want to find a nice hotel for historical place ,its best place to in historical peninsula.Thanks for everything.

It has really nice bars and restaurants in the area and good for local cuisines.

Lots of restaurants nearby without having to go into city centre (which is a 10 minute walk), quite a lively area without being noisy.

the night life around the hotel and very good and happening with lots of restaurants around.. the rooms are very small

There are lots of excellent restaurants on the doorstep for evening meals.

the hotel has a great place to have breakfast in a quiet nature, you can also rest in the hotel no noise,In a street you'll find distinctive restaurants and concerts.

You can have it in the restaurant or outside in the garden.

When we asked for a recommendation for dinner, they recommended the best restaurant I've been to in Istanbul which is luckily just around the corner!

The hotels bar and restaurant was not open during our stay which was a pity as one day the door was left open and it has a really good view across the sea.

That said it’s about 10 min walk to Topkapı palace 5 min walk to the blue mosque 7 mins walk to saint Sophia’s church & about 15 mins walk to the grand Bazaar.breakfast is a typical Turkish breakfast (it’s the same as most budget hotels ) & of course is seasonal.there is no longer a restaurant in the hotel however there must be 100 within a 10 min walk we found the nearest one was good “the cosy cafe “

but small has a fridge kettle.the beds were sagging toilets were okay.the buffet breakfast not good.only boiled eggs and same dishes repeated daily.the staff at reception are very helpfull.nearby lots of cafes and shops.

Main sights such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace are within walking distance as well as local shops and cafes.

All staff were very attentive and polite.

The place didn't look like on the pictures, it was dirty, you could hear everythinh trough the walls.

Dirt and what can only be described as human excrement was smeared on the tiny filthy bathroom walls.

Mould, noisy, paint peeling off the walls, absolutely filthy.

Cons:
- The room was really dusty and not cleaned properly
- The standard rooms are really small
- The Shower was about to fall of the wall
- The Wi-Fi was terrible and was dropping out constantly
- The airconditioning was not working
- The bathroom had broken tiles
- Don’t expect a nice view from your window
- Don’t bother about the breakfast!

Apart from the walls of the bedrooms being not very soundproof we could not fault anything.

the hotel staff were very helpful.However,as the hotel is in an old Ottoman house the walls between the rooms were a bit thin so not very well soundproofed

Room would be even better if the room was slightly redecorated, as the wall had wallpaper which was ripped, and looked scruffy, which spoilt the overall look of the room,

Room faults included : pipe becoming detached from the sink flooding the en-suite;Shower rail almost falling off the wall; safe locked up and with no instructions; internet never working in our room; key-card failing, locking us out of our room; table lamp tripping the room electricity supply;air conditioning failing with us having to endure the worst and hottest night in any hotel anytime, and anywhere in the world- due to staff not communicating well, and presumably being indifferent to our situation (subject of a complaint to ABTA as Lastminute .com not living up to its obligations to its customers!)

The bathroom walls were a bit dated and showing mould in places.

Only minor is that walls aren't soundproof.

The rooms, while well appointed, are on the small side, the walls VERY thin and unfortunately, the whole place smelt of cigarette smoke which for me is a real turn off.

Furthermore, the walls between the rooms are quite thin. We could hear our neighbours talking and watching TV at 2 in the morning (even after we asked him to turn it down)

The negatives are the following:
-The bed was made of two single beds joined together and frequently slides away from each other
-The walls are a bit thin
-It took a while for the bath to be filled

For a BA Holiday (Flights + Hotel), it is a bargain staying here.

The rooms are exceptionally small and the wall are so thin.

but there was a bulb missing and a chipped class cover on the bedside table and the walls were rather thin.

The location is great and the roof terrace has great views of the blue mosque and hagia Sophia.

A perfect location for the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Palace, various spice markets/bazaars and the Sultan Ahmet Parki where you can pick up the ''hop on hop off bus' to tour the city.

Great view of Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque from their rooftop terrace too.

It's at a great location near all the tourist attraction locations such as Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Place as well as the blue mosque and Grand Bazaar.

The  main USP of the hotel is its location which is very close to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and the other is their staff.
