The rooms (or certainly the one I was in) are very small (and in need of some new paint on the walls!).

We really liked the breakfast, all the food were fresh and diffirent variaty!

it is within walking distance to a lot of the major attractions  (Topkapi Palace, Sophia Hagia, Blue Mosque, Cistern Museums, Hop on Hop Off Bus, Archeological Museum etc) There is also loads of restaurants around.

Cons:

- While the street is relatively quiet, the hotel itself is a bit loud and the walls are obviously quite thin.

The walls are a little on the thin side though, on the first night I could hear the next doors TV for a while, word for word whilst I was trying to sleep.

Also can book some tours through them for less hassle and more convenience.

even though you ignore them, they keep talking and staring at you while walking, every time we walk to the hotel we had to go through the experience all over again, very rude and uncomfortable.

I have had previous experiences of a Turkish baths elsewhere and have been made to feel awkward or uncomfortable, this was not the case here.

Location was also excellent, I could even walk to the Blue mosque for prayers, also there are other old mosques such as the Little Hagia Sophia mosque just a couple of minutes away.

We walked to the sea from the hotel and it was an intersting walk, we came across a beautiful little hagia sophia mosque.

Both properties are in perfect locations.

This fabulous traditional Turkish hotel is located in a terrific location.

I had a very restful stay with Ada in the most perfect little location of old city Istanbul - Views from the breakfast room are wonderful and by balcony view also was impressive.

Due to the hotel's location in one of the best parts of Europe, Istanbul, we were able to easily walk to antiquities such as the mosque in the shortest possible time.

First of all - an extremely convenient location.

It is warm, comfortable and the best location you could hope for!

The location is great, the staff were lovely, the hotel was nice and clean, and they served an amazing traditional Turkish breakfast, all at a very reasonable price.

Location is in the centre of Sultanahmet (Old City) close to the Arasta bazaar, the grand bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Basilica cistern, and the main tram lines which connect to Galata, Karaköy, Taksim, etc.

Location is wonderful central, its just 3-5 mins by walk bluemosque, sophia and chinese restaurants.

What am saying is the location is just great.

It is also perfectly located for touring the sights of Istanbul on foot.

At the breakfast time, we go the terrace at the 5th floor, which is widely facing the Marmara sea, and find various type of food in the buffet, beside  those ladies upstairs who welcome us with smiley face all the times.

There are several restaurants in the area.

Restaurants, shopping, Blue Mosque, Sofia Haggis, Topkapi Palace,Hippodrome are all with an easy walk.

The Ada Hotel Istanbul is near these landmarks: Kucuk Ayasofya - Gazi Suleyman Pasa Mosque, Keyfi Alem Playstation Cafe, Eurosa Travel, Hayal İstanbul Maltepe, Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Apostolo e Santa Sofia Vedova, Covered Bazaar, Sultan II.

Also it was easy few minutes to walk to all the sights such as the blue mosque and bazaar areas and staying at Ada rather than in a big hotel in outer part of  istanbul I received the true taste of Turkish and their lovely hospitality with the shops and cafes and little parks//squares/mosques all so near by also.

The hotel manager and staff were very kind and friendly and the hotel environment was very clean and we also ate a variety of delicious breakfasts every day.

It has a nice bed and a mini fridge and very close to downtown and restaurants.

Breakfast is in the cafe on the top floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the Marmara Sea where Little Hagia Sophia, two nearest mosques (Sokollu Mehmed Pasha and Iskender Aga), the remains of Constantinople walls and the Yenikapı complex can be seen.

Breakfast was fresh,just cooked ,very tasty, home made and had a very good variety!

There are great restaurants and rooftop terraces all around.

They give hugs, laughs and push way too much food on me [see photo].

There are a huge lot of food varieties and the hotel food staffs take special care of each and every guest individually and as per his or her food taste.

There is great rooftop restaurant right next to the hotel, very convenient, so if you are back at the hotel and too tired to go out for a meal specially at a the end of the day this one remains open till late at night.

The apartment is a short walk from all tourist sites in Saltanamet as well as restaurants and grocery shops.

Bright and clean accommodation with tasty breakfast enough to feed an army.

The food was homemade, filling, and delicious.

Whether it is arranging transport to the hotel, making restaurant reservations, checking weather forecasts, booking tours, walking to departure points to confirm all is in order, making telephone calls to ensure that everything is running smoothly, or simply giving good, informed advice, Dr Sumengen quietly and efficiently handles it all!

From organizing trips to offering advice to even small things like ordering food for their guests…it’s all amazing.

Finally, I'm very picky about beds and I've never had anything uncomfortable at the Ada Hotel.

At first we were a bit uncomfortable when we went in to the  building because it looks  a little cramped

I was on a duty trip so it was quite uncomfortable to type letters sitting on the bed.

From the reception to the breakfast wich is so so so yummy and on the terrace with a view.

We stayed for8 nights in one bedroom apartment.It had a great sea view with balcony.The rooms were very clean and comfortable.Everything was perfect.Amazing breakfast was made by two gorgian ladies (magda and maya)that were so nice,friendly and helpful.Two young men in reception were very responsible and helpful.Location was good.I absolutely recommend Ada hotel .

The restaurant of the hotel is on the roof, so you have a very nice view when you have your breakfast.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite with a beautiful sea view from the window.

Their rooftop breakfast with a beautiful and relaxing view towards the sea (and overlooking a charming neighborhood mosque).

I've also stayed in the Sea View room with the jacuzzi tub.

We could see the Bosphorus from our window and from the breakfast terrace on the top floor the view was tremendous!

Close, at walking distance, to all main sightseeing points, with a wonderful view from rooms and breakfast up floor.

I had booked a suite with a Balcony and sea view.

Rooms are wide and have jakuzi & big screen TV, breakfast fresh and girls making omlet for you in a second, hotel was clean, upper floor rooms has amazing view.

Breakfast was more on the basic side and the restaurant felt a little bit cold in the morning, with no staff around.

The breakfast was hugely disappointing with stale breads and cold eggs.

Cold Efes on the sidewalk a welcome treat after lengthy days being a tourist!

The only thing was the breakfast, it could have been better and the room where it is served was always too cold, which made it a bit uncomfortable

On our first stint, we got a room where the shower would only produce completely hot or completely cold water and hotel wouldn't switch us to another room saying they were fully booked. 3.

Try and get one with a balcony on a higher floor, as there is a nice side view of the sea.The only pain point was the unpredictable hot shower which would suddenly go cold, plumbing fittings could do with an upgrade.

We are apprehensive as the hotel didn't cost much (75 Euros a night, off season) and since our trip was in February we were concerned about the cold.

A really valuable idea if you come after a cold and rainy day, you may have some relax before going out for dinner with a tea and some pastries.

The usual line up of juices, coffee, tea, cereals, olives, cold meats and cheeses you find in Europe, and a small selection of hot dishes, Turkish style, some cakes and breads.

When I asked why there's no tissue box in the room (I had a cold and it was very inconvenient) she said there's a store nearby where I can buy some if I need it.

Nothing warm, no eggs/sausages cooked upon request, pretty small selection in a rather cold room on the ground floor.

Great location, few minutes walking from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Mosque and Topkapi Museum; large and comfortable family room; very good breakfast (charcuteries, various cheese types, fruits, vegetables, eggs, cakes, honey and jams, delicious home made bread); free WiFi; friendly and helpful hotel staff.

The ACRA is well located to major attractions, restaurants and the Arasta Bazaar.

Overall the hotel is in a great location.

The food was great and the rooms were clean and well isolated and location of the hotel is close to everything in the region.

The hotel is in a great location   just about 10 minutes walk to Hagia Sophia  mosque and to the Blue mosque,  it's in Sultan Ahmet  area which is close to most must see attractions.

Location is perfect only 2-3 minutes walk to all amazing sightseeing’s at Sultan Ahmet square!

First of all the hotel was located in a very good area so that we could reach sightseeing and famous places e.g.

The hotel is located in the old part of Istanbul, at a distance of 5 minutes from the main parts of the old city.

The hotel is in a great location with most famous building in a walking distance.

You can't go wrong with Acra hotel, great location too, walking distance to all the great places in Sultanahmet area.

There are reasons why:

The location of this hotel is a big advantage because, we felt ourselves like in a district of arts in Paris 18th.

We booked this property due to the location and breakfast included option.

but Acra Hotel Special Class is reasonably priced, well located and situated off a small street chock full of similar hotels.

Although it's still a good option, being located in the proximity of Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, it's far from the 5 stars I gave before.

The location also has many restaurants that offered Turkish food.

While in the cab on the way to the hotel, we were contacted on whatsapp to coordinate drop off a few blocks from the check-in desk since cars are not allowed in the immediate area of the hotel.

Also, the traffic outside the car free area is terrible, so ask the hotel for help getting taxis.

You either take their own car - at an exorbitant 65 euros one way - or get a taxi.

The car they sent to pick us up at the airport arrived 25 minutes after we emerged from the terminal.

Regular cars cannot access the pedestrian road where the buildings are.

but in order to avoid the hassle (as the hotel does not have easy access for cars), not much difference.

I felt like in a movie when arriving with our rented car, with hotel golf cart escort passing right by the Topkapi main entrance and heavy police guard there with machine guns and no one around - scene I will always remember, like I was some head of foreign state visiting.

TIP - If you are planning to arrive by taxi, try and organise through the hotel directly as the location is not directly accessible by car - our taxi dropped us at a nearby street and we had to take heavy cases all through the streets.

Confirmed our car reservations that were not made through the hotel.

The hotel is on a street that has no access by car.

In Eyup areas there is a cavle car ride which is 5tl each way, purchase ur ticket in the cable car area or use ur istanbulkart.
