Nearby Faneuil Hall has a food bazaar where you can buy chowder, Boston scrod, and, of course, lobster rolls!.

The rooms were VERY spacious - we had two queen beds - and everything was SO CLEAN.

but clean and well designed with nice big mirror and giant TV.

but it was a good size, clean and had a nice bathroom.

Had an issue with damaged toilet seat when we arrived, informed receptionist it needed changing, 6 days later, still got damaged seat.

The room was clean with great natural light, and the bed was super comfortable after a long day of travel.

Amazing location steps from the Aquarium, Fanueil Hall and a short walk to Little Italy and the Boston Garden.

It is a boutique hotel, and the carpeting in the halls and the room are very colorful.

It’s perfectly located a 2min walk to Fanuiel Hall and only 5 mins from the Old State House or The North End.

Fanueil  Hall and Quincy Market were only a block away.

This hotel has easy access from I-93, close proximity to the North End, Fanuel Hall, the Aquarium and public transportation.

The hotel is located next to a T stop, just 2 blocks from the Aquarium and Faneuil Hall, and a short walk to Hannover St in the North End.

Literally directly across the street from Faneuil Hall / Quincy Market and the subway entrance is 10 feet from front door.

LOCATION: Super close to Faneuil Hall and the aquarium waterfront.

The harbor, the New England Aquarium, and Faneuil Hall are steps away (literally).

Very nice boutique hotel located within very close walking distance to Faneuil Hall, the new Sam Adams Taproom, restaurants and shopping!

Faneuil Hall  is a 5 minute walk, South Station rail hub is about a 15 minute walk.

The “atrium” view rooms overlook the interior hallway of the hotel.

We stayed at the Harbor side Inn, 185 State St, a very eclectic hotel extraordinarily well located close to the piers and wharfs of Boston, close to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall also.

It's just a short few blocks walk to be on the Freedom Trail at Fanueil Hall and that's a great place to start and/or end up.

Close to all the sights including the Harbor, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall etc.

Loved the exposed brick in the hall & room.

So close to Faneuil Hall, historic sites, and North End in general!

We loved the location which was within a block of the rail system (convenient to and from the airport) and close to Quincy Market and Fanueil Hall.

An easy walk to Faneuil Hall, the North End and lots of restaurants.

It needed either more lamps or brighter bulbs, so unless you are a vampire going to a Dracula convention don’t book one of these rooms.

No curtains so the light from the atrium wasn't able to be blocked.

Very little lighting, which I understand to some extent because supposedly no one reads anymore.

What let me down was despite it being on the top floor it had no view and due to the location I never received much natural light into the room.

We had a view of other windows in the hotel, which meant there wasn't much light in the room.

The room was dingy (we needed the light on all the time due to lack of natural light).

The hotel must be on the older side, old light switches, AC unit and doors.

Also the blinds are a little light so the sun shines in,

There wasn't good lighting, especially in the bathroom.

Not sure why they don't provide better lighting.

Miss is room is average, it had poor mattress, small bathroom, bad lighting.

After checkin we noticed that the window was bringing in very little light.

The decor throughout was a dark wood panelling, or dark color paint with minimum bulb lighting.

The room had exposed brick, and low lighting and a lot of character.

but if you don't like light in your room you would hate it.

If boutique hotel means windows to an atrium, not outdoors, ugly furnishings (ours was horribly ugly; to be fair I didn't see any others so I could be wrong about them) made even worse by the fact the light is so bad due to no outside windows; only two skimpy towels, no coffee maker, not even a pad of paper or pen, ability to hear every word said in the hallway, and a creaky floor right outside the door - then this hotel fits the name.

I am a little crazy about natural light and windows that open.

How about wanting to see a ray of light or even the sky--no chance!

Fantastic location steps away from some of the most popular attractions in Boston.

I had such a great experience at this hotel, it was fabulous.

Harborside Inn has the perfect location for walking, catching the "T", and shopping.

We picked this Hotel for its position and easy access to the Airport / Harbour and North Station we found it met this it was quiet comfortable with polite staff we would highly recommend the Harborside Inn.

Otherwise, the hotel was perfectly fine—clean, conveniently located and quiet.

The only thing positive I can say about the hotel is it is in a great location.

It really is in a good location: Aquarium T-station is right by the front door, the waterfront is a very short stroll and the Quincy market is one short street away.

The Aquarium access to the subway is within feet of the hotel entrance.

We used the Blue line from the Airport to the Harborside 2 stops to Aquarium you need to come out on State St you either exit directly outside the Hotel or across the road (look for the 7eleven).

Close to a parking garage, the Aquarium and restaurants/bars!

It is across the street from the Aquarium Blue like stop on the T So getting here from the airport was super quick and easy.

The hotel is ideally situated - minutes to Quincy Market, The Aquarium, Theatreland and Downtown all within walking distance.

The hotel is in a good location close to the Aquarium, the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

Easy to walk to all downtown locations and the Aquarium/State Street entrance to the T is right outside the door.

It's right in front of the subway stop Aquarium on the Blue line, which takes you to the airport in 15 minutes (you then need to catch a shuttle bus, which goes to the terminals and takes longer).

The location is perfect, one street across Quincy Market, close to Aquarium and waterfront, with blue line train access right out of the door.

It was located right near the Greenway, 1 block from the markets, and the aquarium.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to the Aquarium T stop, close to the waterfront area (no surprise given the name) and very close to the freedom trail by the Old State House.

Hit is the great location, right across from aquarium and Long Wharf, and a block from Quincy Market.

Front door is next to Aquarium 'T' stop so two stops to the Airport.

We were looking for a location close to Quincy Market area and within walking distance of the North End and this cannot be beat.

The location is outstanding next to Quincy Market and close to Aquarium and Harbor.

I didn't realize it was also walking distance to Quincy Market. Bonus!

Was conveniently located,  near Quincy Market, Northside and Wharf.

The room was way good enough including a small table and two chairs to enjoy a clam chowder on bread bowl I brought back from Faneuil Hall.

We stayed in the basement section known as the Cabin rooms.

Our room had two large beds that was really comfortable.

On the plus side, the room was a good size, and there was plenty of space for me to unpack my things.

About the room, ours was queen beds with city view, quite large room with a planet-sized mirror (trade for a kettle???).

Great hotel - , super-helpful staff, a beautiful room, a lovely restaurant next door and a really comfortable bed.

We found the room rates cheaper dealing direct with the Hotel rather than using a third party portal.

but no microwave in the room, although they do offer a guest safe.

although had a window, I found quite dark.

Lousy ventilation, dared not risk opening windows which didn't do a great job with traffic noise (over-ear sound cancelling headphone were necessary as I'm very sensitive to noise).

To be able to see the City view, you would need to climb onto a chair or to be at least 6ft 5 to be able to look out of the window.

My room did not have a window with an outside view,

We were on the first floor with a window to the street and the noise was somehow faint and didn't bother me at all.

I went back to my original booking and nowhere did it mention a room without windows.

although our window opened to a gap between buildings capped by a skylight (rather than to the outside).

Cabin rooms are located in the basement and so do not have any windows - this can be a bit disconcerting - no natural daylight and no way of finding out what the weather is until you get up to ground level.

We had a king bed with a window looking out onto State St and could see toward the Long Wharf area.

We came back to a different room and it’s still intrusively noisy so we preferred to sleep with the window open.

Our daughter's family had a double queen cabin room which had no windows;

Choose a room with a view of atrium or city (some rooms may not have a window) because this hotel is two buildings converted with atrium between.

That meant one could only catch a glimpse of the tops of a few taller buildings nearby and to even view those one had to climb on a chair to reach the blind cord.

Did start to feel a little cooped up without a window to the outside

Especially since the room didn’t have curtains, just blinds.

In walking distance of Acropolis,  of all the cool neighborhoods,  and of direct metro lines to airport and Piraeus.

It was lovely sitting in the roof garden at night looking right across at the amazing view of floodlit Acropolis.

It's very well located, just a short walk from Monastiraki station and easy to get to all the main areas including the Acropolis and its museum.

Clean rooms, lovely bead, nice breakfast and a great roof terrasse with a bar looking straight toward the Acropolis.

While the location is great and the balcony has an unobstructed view of the Acropolis, nothing is worth bedbugs.

There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel which has AMAZING views of Acropolis.

The highlight of this hotel is the roof top bar with fabulous views of the Acropolis.

however, was the rooftop bar, with its fabulous views (daytime and nighttime) of the Acropolis.

Our room was very clean and had a view of the Acropolis.

Rooms are great, the roof top bar has a view of the Acropolis, and the staff is super friendly.

The location is central to everything you might want to do in Athens, and photos of the view from the bar towards the Acropolis are exactly how it is in real life.

5 min walk to monastiriki square, another 15-20 to Acropolis and a hive of smaller side streets brimming with life are just blocks away.

Hotel has an amazing rooftop bar with views of the Acropolis.

Room was clean with a balcony overlooking the Acropolis and despite being on a busy road when the doors were closed it was very quiet.

I had an excellent large balcony with a view of the acropolis (511).

Friendly staff, nice room, decent breakfast, lovely rooftop bar providing great views of the Acropolis.

We were able to walk to the Parlament building on Sunday to see the military parade, the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, the Plaka, the flea market and bazaar and, of course, the wonderful Acropolis Museum and National Archaeological Museum.

Excellent location 200m from all the athens bazaar and cafe's.

The Plaka, bazaar, Hop-on Hop-off bus, huge local fish/meat/vegetable market and The Poet Sandal-maker of Athens (famous sandal maker) are all very close.

Everything you seem to need is within walking distance or a short taxi ride, its rich history, the shops, cafes, restaurants, Bars not forgetting the flea market and bazaar, everything is there.

It has a grand view of the Acropolis, which is particularly stunning in the evening.

I took the opportunity to go up to the Grand Bretagne Hotel for a cocktail.

Very well located near Monastiraki square.

The hotel is very centrally located with The Acropolis,  Monastiraki Square, Plaka, Psiri and Syntagma Square all within easy walking distance.

But location is in my opinion its top advantage.

It is affordable and is located in the heart of the city and walking distance to everything.

The hotel is in a good location, near metro and restaurants.

We loved the area behind the hotel and the shopping nearby and central location.

The hotel is very easy to access via the metro from the airport and is wonderfully located for sightseeing and for walking to good restaurants.

I stayed here 25 years ago, so knew the location was perfect.

What a great location to stay in and a delightful hotel.

Perfect location for a base to not only visit the major sites in Athens

The rooftop restaurant provided great views of the Parthenon which, particularly, all lit up at night, was truly breathtaking

Receptions was happy to keep luggage before / after checkout.

The Attalos Hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of location, quality of breakfast, and splendid views from the roof top bar.

It proved to be excellent value for money and in a great location just a few minutes walk from Monastraki Square and certainly within walking distance of all the sights and a good selection of bars and restaurants.

Hotel room is very clean and offers to keep your luggage safely if the room is not ready.

Hotel has wonderful view, excellent service and spacious rooms.

We were given a good sized room, very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was great with a good selection and the rooms were super comfy!

The rooms were clean with plenty of space.

For three, the room was impossibly small.

We had four different rooms and found them all to be clean and well appointed.

My family recently rented two rooms and spent two nights in this hotel.

But hotel rooms are spacious and have everything you need.

Everyone you meet, from the reception, to your room attendants, and the bar staff are friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were emaculate and well supplied and quiet.

but it was clean, functional and honestly if you’re coming to Athens to stay in a hotel room then it probably isn’t the right city for you.

The bedroom was average, the bathroom was very small and water goes everywhere from the shower.

The only two negative's about this hotel was that the bathrooms are very small, specifically the shower.

Rooms were decent size, though, the bathrooms were rather tiny.

though it took a couple of days' practice to keep the bathroom floor relatively dry when I used the small shower.

The bathroom had a small shower, constant hot water and plenty of towels.

The furniture is basic and the bathrooms are on the small size especially the shower.

although the bathroom was a little small.

As will have been mentioned before some of the rooms are dated and the bathroom is small,

While it was compact the small shower and fixtures are newer and clean.

As far as the room goes, it was dated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the bathroom small.

The main issue I had was the very small shower cubicle & stupidly placed shower with a shower curtain that is pointless as the fixed shower head is pointing directly onto the curtain meaning it's almost impossible not to soak the floor.

The room was tiny and so was the bathroom.

Only complaint is that the showers are very small (smaller than on the cruise ships - hard to turn around without hitting the handles)

The bathroom was only small and felt like you were nearly in the bath when you went to the toilet.

Only complaint which is common across all city hotels is that the room was a bit small

We had booked a triple room which was very small.

When we stayed in this hotel we were given a really small room with a view of a dirty internal roof area and walls.

The room is small and a bit tight for three people, as is the shower (small),

Above all, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies.

The staff in all areas from reception to maid service were brilliant and super lovely to speak to.

Good breakfast and very friendly breakfast staff.

As we were settling in, we were greeted by a family of fat bedbugs.
