The buffet breakfast was delicious, plentiful, fresh with lots of choices.

Women in the kitchen and guys in restaurant muhammet thanks for Turkish breakfast and service.

Jan an Onor greeted us over breakfast and chatted to us offering advise if we needed it for local attractions.

The hotel and rooms are clean and they have a great breakfast spread.

The staff was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast - even small - was well chosen with local ingredients!

Turkish breakfast was tasty, with lots of variety.

They also gave us a takeaway (a delicious hazelnut spread) when we left - such a nice touch!

Stuff was very friendly, helped us in all the ways, we had extra breakfast and 9.30 early check-in, they did not charge us a penny for this.

It's super-clean, AC is very good, rooms are nicely decorated with artworks, shower is powerful, there's a nice little rooftop bar, and breakfast is good with lots of homemade produce,

This place is so so cool: lovely and comfortable rooms, amazing and very helpful staff, delicious breakfast in a precious position.

Breakfast is really good, with great coffee, and the staff are really wonderful – very friendly, very effective.

The rooms are nicely decorated and have a mini bar which is chargeable.

SuB is located just a block from a very cute and thriving art and food scene in a hopping neighborhood.

No complaint for this hotel, prefect location for restaurant and bars around, the decoration of the hotel and the staffs are all very helpful and friendly.

The room had a funky, quirky design and I loved it.

Very nice, quirky and a small boutique hotel, there are so many different bits and bobs of interesting objects in the lobby, Rooms are nice, with comfortable beds, albeit on the smaller side.

Rooms are well designed and new renovated.

I am staying on 5th floor and never noticed any noise except for tonight due to a private party.

Some youth outside was flying a drone which hit our window and fell down.

When we check the comment once to come here people wrote Having so much noise

You can hear the bathroom door & flush from the other costumers.

The lighting in the room is not great, the fridge did not work and was leaking onto the floor, the shower door was not sealed at the bottom and 2 of my 5 showers water leaked out, and there were a couple of ants on the floor.

There was a constant air conditioning sound coming from outside.

It is quite a lively area so expect a fair bit of noise during the evening over a weekend

I had only one issue with some noise from a private Halloween party in the bar

Other disadvantage was the noise levels at night particularly on weekends- a problem I think could be fixed with the investment of double glazed windows.

The only downside about SuB Karaköy is that it is a bit noisy, as it easy in the middle of two fairly busy streets.

First of all, even i closed all of the windows, the noise from the traffic below was above my threshold and prayers from a close mosque woke me up at an early hour.

The other nights of the week had no noise issues.

Turns into a trendy bar at night time which I didn't go to and the noise didn't cause any problem from my room on floor 4.

Room was noisy, street noise, cars/trucks and also from bars and night clubs.

You will probably hear the sound of vehicles zooming past the hotel

There's construction happening on the other side of the hotel - so besides the mosque it's probably the quietest side for now.

My room was halfway facing the street and there is street noise.

but all the other nights we closed the windows and were not disturbed.

Maybe if I could talk to them about my noise concerns & find out which are the quietest rooms (we were on the first floor - maybe higher is better?).

The main problem was noisy neighborhood that the staff remind it was because of a traffic problem of Taqsim Sq.

The location of the hotel is great: close to a lot of bars and restaurants and walkable to a lot of great points in the city.

Cross the road and there is an amazing selection of restaurants and bars to choose from.

Definitely must visit Bar&Restaurant Foxy on the ground floor of the hotel.

Location is perfect - within walking distance to bars, restaurants and various sightseeing locations.

The SuB Karakoy is near these landmarks: Kucuk Ayasofya - Gazi Suleyman Pasa Mosque, Eurosa Travel, Keyfi Alem Playstation Cafe, Hayal İstanbul Maltepe, Chiesa di Sant'Andrea Apostolo e Santa Sofia Vedova, Covered Bazaar, Sultan II.

The most ideal location to visit all of the main sights, great restaurants, easy access to tram and ferries.

The location is really good, very close to many bars, cafés & restaurants.

Near is galata tower , bridge and area with many cafe and bars , restaurants, by walking distance you can go walk to various attractions.

Absolutely perfect location for checking out the Karakoy bars, restaurants and coffee shops.

Also within 100 meters you will find many cool bars and restaurants.

So great to just walk out and be able to access lots of cute restaurants anytime of the day.

The street it self is not great looking, bus round the corner You just find nice little streets, cosy bars, turists and locals having food ant fun.

We had an amazing time in Istanbul, and ate pretty well in the Karakoy neighborhood (check out Gumruk for a nice sit-down dinner, and Tahin for a more casual meal).

The hotel is well placed because you can walk in 35 mins to the grand bazaar, blue mosque and topkapi palace on one side.

From the Sub hotel you are able to walk (if you like walking) to the Main tourist areas of: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Spice Market, to name a few.

The tram would (for about two dollars) within ten minutes get you to the Sultanahmed area with the Topkapi palace, the magnicifent Hagia Sofia mosque (now a museum) and the Sultanahmed Camii (the blue mosque) and the Great Bazaar.

35 minute walk to the Topkapi Palace and other attractions.

Sub is very well located in Beyoglu close to the Golden Horn and it is roughly 15 minutes walk to the Topkapi Palace area in one direction and 15 minutes to Taksim Square in another.

While in the cab on the way to the hotel, we were contacted on whatsapp to coordinate drop off a few blocks from the check-in desk since cars are not allowed in the immediate area of the hotel.

Also, the traffic outside the car free area is terrible, so ask the hotel for help getting taxis.

You either take their own car - at an exorbitant 65 euros one way - or get a taxi.

The car they sent to pick us up at the airport arrived 25 minutes after we emerged from the terminal.

Regular cars cannot access the pedestrian road where the buildings are.

but in order to avoid the hassle (as the hotel does not have easy access for cars), not much difference.

I felt like in a movie when arriving with our rented car, with hotel golf cart escort passing right by the Topkapi main entrance and heavy police guard there with machine guns and no one around - scene I will always remember, like I was some head of foreign state visiting.

TIP - If you are planning to arrive by taxi, try and organise through the hotel directly as the location is not directly accessible by car - our taxi dropped us at a nearby street and we had to take heavy cases all through the streets.

Confirmed our car reservations that were not made through the hotel.

The hotel is on a street that has no access by car.

In Eyup areas there is a cavle car ride which is 5tl each way, purchase ur ticket in the cable car area or use ur istanbulkart.

Next time I’m leaving my credit card at home!!

For what this place charges, you have to come strong and they just didn’t.

For $300 a night we ate the nuts and chips and got charged $21 euros at the end with them saying the small chips and nuts were not free

but none were to be had (it was Ramadan, too) and one of the staff offered us his tram card.

I was up charged for a suite connecting room at almost an additional 280 Euro a night and was told repeatedly that it was a connecting room.

They charged us 65 Euros, slightly expensive

So the day of the check out i tell to the lady to put back the money in my card and that in a pre autorisation they were not suppose to take the money

In the beginning, the reception staff did not notify us that breakfast is an additional charge.

but ontop of that we were refused to checkout on basis that we may leav but will b charged for 3 nights booked..  they seemed uninterested to serve us.

He asked taxi driver to charge me 200 liras and give him 50 liras.

but he was very considerate and made me the omelette that I wanted.😀 Without extra charge.

They did not bat an eyelid when I offered to pay by card, as we were running low on Turkish Lira by that time.

But I think the charge was too much for what we got.

Our kid accidentally locked his favorite toy in the safe (our bad), they unlocked it, no extra charge, no hassle.

but we were charged for it at checkout, although there was no tariff or indication that it was at a supplement (a small criticism).

There was a charge for bottled water in the room

The room was spotless/ modern and the decor was very beautiful.

Our room was absolutely gorgeous, clean, and stylish, highlighting antique finishes, mosaic floors and marble sinks.

They have mansions which a lavishly decorated with Ottoman features.

The private swimming pool was great and the whole atmosphere in the hotel was great.

Rooms are pristine, every single staff member was wonderful, and the location is impossible to beat.

but we got mesmerized with the beauty of this place, the cool breeze from trees and flowers, the atmosphere is so humble and peaceful with a radiating sense of calmness and beauty.

The hotel environment is really beautiful and peaceful, we hope to come back for more drinks, lol!

The rooms were well laid out, decorated in a style in-keeping with their history and yet modern and up to date.

The rooms are huge and very cozy, the spa was outstanding with the best Turkish Hamam I've ever had.

It has such amazing and bright colors and prints to make you feel in a palace.

The mansions looked beautifully decorated and of course located in the most convenient spot for tourism, right next to the Hagia Sofia Basilica.

but a hotel with style and staff that couldn’t do enough for you … then look no further.

It was service reminiscent of a Russian hotel I stayed in under communism.

The staff that met our car from the airport eagerly helped transfer our luggage to the small buggy (think station wagon style golf cart) to accommodate the street closures that prevent the taxi from driving straight to the hotel reception desk.

It really was so spacious and the bathrooms are exquisite.

Housekeeping team had done a brilliant job, room decor was giving me a feeling of a palace when I was spending a night next to Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.

The hotel is in great location, very close to the main attractions like the Blue Mosque.

The location is great, especially if it's your first time, all the tourist attractions are by walking distance.

First off the location is in the most ideal spot sharing a wall with the iconic Hagia Sophia.

Located right on the walls of topkapi palace a few minutes stroll to the blue mosque and hagia sofia, and the tram is near you and in one or eyes stops you can be at all the museums, grand bazaar and spice bazaar as well as the port for dowries and bosphorous tours.

In the heart of Sultanahmet, location could not have been better.

Lovely hotel, great location in a pedestrianised area close to the Palace and Hagia Sophia.

There are a lot of great reasons to stay at this hotel, the location is amazing, right in the middle of the Sultanhamet neighborhood,

The hotel has an outstanding location, in the middle of the major touristic places, Great, welcome and accommodating team.

Aside from the uniqueness of the buildings, you can't beat the location, and all the staff were amazingly helpful.

First, the location and physical space is terrific.

To top it off, the cocktails were not good and the starters were poor.

The sad reality of this historic and beautiful pretty is the service is really poor.

For what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, the enthusiastic and competent staff, which you expect from this level of hotel, are let down by poor service, poor communication and on occasion even poor attitude from others.

We opted to check out after 1st night staying at their orchid mansion due to dislike of the property n poor hospitality

One down side was poor lighting in our room for reading.

The hotel restaurants were very good and the room was comfortable and spacious.

The different food choices were excellent from the casual dining to the fine dining experience at the Sarnic Restaurant.

He will make sure your stay is amazing and as a plus he has a golf cart that can take you to all of the restaurants that are close to the Mansion and make sure you make it back in one peace.

She made our stay seamless and hassle free; she made numerous recommendations for places to see and to eat; made reservations at the restaurant, and at the hammam, she took an extra care of our bags in the way out. Top!

As a Hilton Diamond member, we received upgraded rooms for both stays as well as a nice tasty welcome amenity.

What details not too miss  at the historical sites, and the best tour guides, the best place to buy a carpet,  the best corner to get a quick bite or a nice dinner, the best little tile place.

The food is great and have a beautiful SPA center.

The food at the restaurant was great, and breakfast spread was amazing.

It's accompanied by the beautiful gardens, hospitable staff with nice food.

though it was quiet, the waiters weren’t very attentive, cooked items took ages, had to ask for cutlery, and there was rarely any labels on the (limited) hot food items.

At the restaurant in the morning, we (and many other non-Turkish guests, I have realized) had to ask very simple questions (like: "can I get a large spoon? "; or "can I get some ice?")

but swiftly got us to a restaurant as late at night .

Istanbul is full of fabulous restaurants and bars.

but a big shout out to one of the restaurant staff who was really helpful with the baby, playing with her and keeping her occupied so we had time to eat too!

Service was prompt and I enjoyed both the Sofia terrace restaurant and room service.

It was so close to the cafe that we felt that we were actually in it.

As a Diamond member they have upgraded us to best suite ever in the Tulip room.

Check in was a breeze and we were in our room within 10 minutes.

We were upgraded to an extremely nice room, welcomed with amenities and snacks.

In the hotel the rooms are beautiful, former original ottoman guest residences and it feels like it!

From the ladies who serviced our room, to the buggy driving concierges and particularly to the sweetest night manager (Sefa) who gave us some museum tips and Betul who bid is farewell with a traditional ceremony.

Our rooms were connected to our kids’ rooms.

It is right there, a 3 minute walk from your room to get into Hagia Sofia.

The rooms are beautiful, Turkish and modern all at once, with a bathroom you will never want to leave.

When it go too crowded or hot, we retreated to our room and went back later.

Rooms are small villas scattered  on a busy street in the tourist area, hence a feeling of disconnect to the hotel / resort feeling appeared as well as a lack of privacy.

My only suggestion to the staff is to provide a map (later, I did find a small one in the room) of the property upon check in, and do a better job of explaining the layout of the property.

Upon arrival from the airport after 18 hours of travel, we were escorted up four flights of stairs to a tiny room on the top floor where we could not move around if we put our luggage on the floor.

Our room was small, not unlike most older European hotels where we have stayed.

even though it was me who booked the room using my HHonors account) once again we have witnessed some incompetence; for example, one of the rooms assigned to us smelled like sewage.

I asked them for a fan because even the expensive hotels in Turkey turn down the power to the air conditioners at night and it was very hot and stale weather.

The building is built as a exact replica of the building that once stood in these historic grounds and belonged to the minister of the tobacco monopoly in the ottoman government.

We stopped by the front desk to ask about a walking tour of Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sofia, and Secil scheduled us with her for a day-long tour the following day (it was definitely supposed to be 4-5 hours

Pros- location- walkable to all the major sites- Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi palace less than 5 minutes walk, so it was great for sightseeing!

The Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar are approximately 5-10 minutes away.

It is in the center of Sultanahmet and near to every main attraction such as Topkapi Palace, basilica cistern, blue mosque and Hagia Sophia.

This is a unique hotel situated across the street from the walls of Hagia Sofia Mosque, and the Topkapi palace walls are at the back of the row of mansions which make up this hotel.

The location was incredible for main sites like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and an easy tram ride or perhaps longer taxi ride (depending on traffic) to get to other parts of the city.

Almost feels like living in Topkapi palace and Hagia Sofia itself. Guest relations supervisor Betul Toprak truly surpassed our expectations through her genuine care and warm welcome and Irem Aydin’s kindness, hospitality and the amazing breakfast menu and service was so good we want to stay here forever :)

Very clean hotel at a great location, at a walking distance from historical buildings (Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Sultan Ahmet).

The property touches Hagia Sophia on one side, and the Topkapi Palace on the other side.

The location to Topkapi Palace is excellent as it is for Hagia Sophia and Sultan Ahmed Mosques

The hotel has a rich history and is literally located next to the Hagia Sofia Mosque and the Topkapi Palace.

The hotel is a series of buildings (mansions) on a cobblestone pedestrian street between the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace, making these locations as well as Sultanahmet square and the Blue Mosque all within short walking distance.

Walking out of hour hotel and being just minutes from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace was so convenient.

We were 5-15 minutes from several popular attractions and even shared a wall with Topkapi Palace.

right next to Topkapi Palace, a stone's throw from Hagia Sofia, and within easy walking distances from the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and all the sights and bazaars of the historical old city area.

Perfect; first because of the ideal location - the street is leaning towards the Topkapi palace.
