Our room is authentic and posh , especially its design.

As we were staying in a deluxe room, we are able to say that the bed was really king sized and cozy.

Lovely ottoman style room,on the 5th floor the artwork opposite to the lift is Dolmabahce palace which was the first place we visited on the first day,that was uncanny.

half an hour away from taksim and dolmabahce palace,great spot to explore whole city.

Location couldn't be better, in beautiful Suntanahmet area five minutes walk to Topkapii Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and as it is on the tram line (the rumbling sound of which reminded us our hometown of Melbourne) it is also convenient for visiting Dolmabahce palace, Galata bridge etc.The hotel loans you a tram card that you can add funds to to assist this,

The hotel has been newly renovated in a romantic, highly decorative traditional style.

but really this wasn't my fault so he shouldn't have been unhappy with me.

but mixed weather meant limited use - not the hotel’s fault I know.

The only small criticism, which is not the fault of the hotel, is that it can be a little noisy at night due to the local bars and the tramway that goes right past the front door.

I had a cold for the first two days (I blame my sister lol) and they made sure I had plenty of mint tea to soothe my throat, without me having to ask they offered.


It is difficult to find fault with this stay!

When we had a minor lighting issue in our room, they went above and beyond to fix it.

Nonetheless, after a bit of a delay, we were on our way and the hotel worked to fix the problem as soon as they were aware of it.

Decoration: All the fittings and fixtures of the hotel have been custom-made to give a definite sense of traditional style, with an emphasis on ornate, period gilded-wood furniture, heavy drapes, floral wallpaper and velvet or satin upholstery, chandeliers and glass pendant lighting fittings and wrought-iron work.

The bathroom was separated by glass walls with curtains on the inside, which, when pulled open, created an even more airy and open space.

It had a tiny ante, a small balcony and a glass walled bathroom.

The bathroom it a bit odd in that it has glass walls with curtains.

The glass walls also mean there is just one hook right next to the shower to hang towels and robes, which can maybe hold one, two with difficulty.

The bathroom is a bit strange, a room within a room, a glass box with curtains.

The toilets were very clean and the only problem i had with it was that it had glass walls backed with almost transparent curtains.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff Zumre guest relations was extremely helpful.

Guest relations Zumre checked up on us to make sure we had what we needed during the stay.

The Spa and pool are great and spa staff also helpful and friendly as too are the staff on reception.

The spa facilities are really impressive.

I also had my first Hammam experience at the Hotel- Gamze was really helpful with this and went out of her way to accommodate a suitable timing for us.

Very nice, quirky and a small boutique hotel, there are so many different bits and bobs of interesting objects in the lobby, Rooms are nice, with comfortable beds, albeit on the smaller side.

Rooms and building are looking so special, like underground style.

The place is convenient for getting the funicular up to Istiklal Caddesi (Beyoglu) or hopping the tram to Sultanahmet or to Dolmabahce Palace.

The hotel is like a hip, avant garde hotel in soho of istanbul.

This is where you would see younger hip crowd of Istanbulites.

It reminds me of a hotel you'd find in SoHo New York with the hipster vibe, artwork, and quirky design ques.

Thus, this has easy access to the traditional sightseeing without worrying about the tourist crowds in a very hip, friendly neighborhood that hasn't totally turned yet.

Main advantages include fantastic location- close to the tram stop and in a very trendy and hip part of Karakoy (there is a very lively strip of trendy cafes/restaurants just a couple of streets away).

It felt intimate (maybe only 20 rooms) with its own little rooftop bar (usually open 6-11), hip eclectic decor, and is super-conveniently located near the trolley line.

There is enough street art and shabby hipster chic to keep your instagran account pinging with likes.

If you like coffee shops and hip stores and beautiful artsy people, this is your spot.

Location is perfect to explore the city, bordering a hip part of town

Far from touristy - the Karakoy neighbourhood is hip and happening and located near everything.

The location is great - hipster cafes and bars just around the corner.

Hip location close to many upmarket cafes, restaurants, and bars, and within walking distance to other tourist attractions or public transportation.

The Karakoy district did not feel touristy, it was bustling with hip outdoor cafes, bars and fine restaurants.

- When cleaning the rooms, the side door is left open, which made the entire floor very cold.

We had a room on the 4th floor, I found the room size to be fine though the bathroom was a bit small

Honestly I have no clue why and how anyone would perceive the room as small unless they are used to stay in a suite.

Some youth outside was flying a drone which hit our window and fell down.

Other disadvantage was the noise levels at night particularly on weekends- a problem I think could be fixed with the investment of double glazed windows.

First of all, even i closed all of the windows, the noise from the traffic below was above my threshold and prayers from a close mosque woke me up at an early hour.

but all the other nights we closed the windows and were not disturbed.

The surrounding buildings meant that not enough natural light comes through the windows.

The hotel was relatively pricey for its size; the room and bathroom, both modern and stylish, are on the small side (typical of smaller boutique hotels), and the windows aren’t fully sound-proof; we could hear call to prayer late at night and sometimes the traffic below, which did interrupt a good night’s sleep.

Rooms very comfortable - we had a room at the front of the building and were not troubled by any noise as we kept the windows shut and the air con on during the nights.

BUT I couldn't get one decent night's rest because of the construction going on outside my window in the middle of the night.

the double-glazed windows help to keep the noise down,

but we later found out that it was because we didn't shut our window.

Up in the room, the manager's letter, some Turkish delights, art work, the so called "harbor bed" and a very unique view from our window greeted us. Nr.

The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was always something we looked forward to, everyday morning.

Location,breakfast and all staf was perfect.

Breakfast offers a wide selection, and a great start to the day, you can even eat on the roof terrace, whichs offers great views across the Bosphorus, across the Golden Horn, and of Galata Tower.

The breakfast is a self serve buffet that is very delicious.

Housekeeping is maintaining in high level of standard, rooms are comfortable, very good location, perfect breakfast and good value, etc.

Most mornings my family and I would have breakfast in the hotel just because of the quality and variety offered by the very kind staff; Berna and Ece.

aside from the placement itself - the highlight of the hotel was the breakfast with the amazing view.

The top floor has a nice breakout area where breakfast is served and some fantastic views, especially at night.

The staff was superb, everyone was attentive to our needs and the breakfast prepared by Cornelia and everyone in the kitchen was great.

In our stay Mrs. BERNA was the best person we met, she prepared our breakfast, she is so kind, sweet and helpful.

The breakfast was good along with the restaurant staff ladies were very very nice & friendly especially the lady with brown hair we loved her so much.

good location , price , breakfast with fantastic view  on 6 flour , clean room and very polite and helpful staff 

I strongly recommend this hotel to all Istanbul lovers

Also the breakfast is fresh and rich, with good quality products.

Lovely view in teracce and also on the breakfast floor.

The breakfast room and rooftop terrace offer a beautiful view,

The lane looks little busy due to the construction work going on for Karakoy Port which presumably should be ready within May/June 2020.

There is a major construction project (Galata Port cruise terminal) in the area across from the hotel, and while there is some noise from the site, it did not effect us too much, and i would not let it stop me staying here again.

On the other hand though:
- Huge construction lot across the hotel has a 24/7 operational permit - this has been going on for a while and will certainly not be done within the next year(s).

And for the construction work of the new port, once u close the window u listen to nothing it wasn’t not much bothering for us.

The water in the sink and shower also stopped working one morning -- I went down to the front desk, and they said that the outside line had been shut off due to construction, and their holding tank was switched off.

Ok, you may not get the best view directly outside the hotel due to on going construction work

I have to mention that there is construction going on across the road from the hotel

Once construction is finished, I will stay again in small hotel.

but the balcony was so narrow that you could not even set foot onto it, and there was simply no view of the Bosporus because of barriers that were erected for a construction site across the street.

Cons  A lot of construction work on a new passenger terminal, Bosphorus view from terrace mostly blocked due to nearby red roof.

The narrow streets behind the hotel are packed with trendy bars, restaurants and cafes - something for everyone.

Highly recommend the hotel who wants to stay in a cozy hotel with good value, decent staff, clean good space rooms & perfect location near to all areas & transportation.

The hotel itself it is very cosy and decorated in ottoman style - this was another reason for choosing it.

Friendly staff, great location, nice decorated rooms and hotel.

The rooms are spacious and clean and nicely decorated.

It has such a great vibe and is very affordable.

Despite the area not being particularly glamorous and there being a fair amount of construction nearby, I absolutely loved the location.
