If you live in an area like NYC you'll be fine.

Amazing location (2 minutes away from every place you must go in Istanbul), super nice, kind and helpful staff, very clean rooms and common areas, nice typical breakfast.

Hall and common areas of luxury and all with attention to the smallest details.

All major Sultanahmet area attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque, Bucolean Palace, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern are in about just 2 munites walk.

The area is pretty safe to walk around alone.

The hotel is conveniently located within the central tourist area and for a small hotel offers an exceptional level of opulent comfort.

In addition the location was the best hagia sophia and blue mosque, great bazaar and species and atmosphere of the area.

I loved the beautiful terrace view overlooking  Sultan Ahmet area while enjoying a great variety of delicious breakfast specialities from the open buffet.

I highly recommend the White House hotel in Istanbul with its ideal location close to all the major attractions, public transportation and shopping areas.

Close to tram stop with great access to all areas.

The area is lively, 2 steps from the historic center, with a multitude of restaurants,

Clean common area and rooms, fast and amazing services, delicious verity breakfast on the terrace with overlooking the amazing Hagia Sophia.

He gave me great tips about the area and what to do.

Also lots of local restaurants in the area, which is very secure.

Compimentary drinks, sweets and blue eye at check-in, rose pedals, hand-written letter by the owner, baloons, tea & coffee bags in the room, a terrace with an outstanding view of Hagia Sophia and the bosphorus, super clean area and rooms, gift and surprises during the stay, and goodbye gifts (Turkish delight and apple tea) at check-out.

Very nice breakfast area on the balcony with a beautiful view of Ayasofya masjid and blue mosque.

The perfect area to relax after a day of sightseeing.

Breakfast area was located on the terrace where you get to see Haghia sophia and Bosphorus.

The immediate surrounding areas are very safe, with several nice places to eat, and interesting places to browse and visit.

The lobby and rooms are beautiful, the location cannot be better (steps to every area of old town you'd want to see), and the views from the rooftop breakfast / day lounge are incredible.

The bathroom is also small, and the shower is enclosed in a small circular area like if you look a cruise ship voyage and had those showers.

A previous review mentioned the shower was too small - this person must’ve been the size of a small elephant as I am 6foot and quite hefty yet the shower was perfect.

However,single rooms are a little tight on space planning.The toilets are very small !

but we were disappointed to see that the room is hyper small, bathroom is also small and bed is double.

although the bathroom was a little too small.

On the down side the rooms were a bit small

Namely non-sound-proof walls, a small room with no view, occasional sewer smells, lack of storage space, and unsatisfactory breakfast selection (which, to be fair, is to be expected at a smaller hotel).

The room we had for 6 nights was small, (standard double) that we booked on Expedia.

The only draw back is the rooms are somewhat small (which is ok) and have little to no storage space (this is the biggest challenge- no counter space to store your belongings between days).

The rooms are small (think London) and the hotel has no other amenities like a pool or fitness center etc.

though the room was on the small side; albeit within minutes of the hagia sofia and blue mosque.

Amazing hotel in the center of Sultanahmet, very close to all main sightseeings: Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapy Palace, Suleymaniye Mosque.

We easily walked to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yeni Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, Theodosius Obelisk, Column of Constantine, Topkapi Palace, and the Bosphorus Strait Cruise ship line-up.

The terrace view of the Hagia Sophia was an amazing sight to take in.

Short walk just 2 minutes to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum and Topkapi Palace.

A few meters from the, Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace.

A few more minutes to Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar.

The hotel is located in the very center, it is difficult to think of a better location relative to the main attractions (walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and much more).

negative: the walls are too thin so you can here people next to you and it makes noisy, the price is a little high for what it is.

Tourist attractions ; What we did not expect was that it has a historic abandoned hamam in front, Old Hagia Sofia (read about it :) ) and Old city walls in 1 mins walk.

Only downside is the thin walls and street noise

The area is clean and relaxing and only allowed 5 people max which was perfect as we had the pool to ourselves for an hour.

The staff look after you and every morning we enjoyed a chitchat with Zumre ( from guest relations) who gave us some really good advice on where to visit including a map with quicker routes to get around, she even recommended places to eat around the area!

Definitely worth checking out the other facilities offered here such as the gym , the spa , and the swimming area.

The room is nice – two separate areas, big bathroom.

Spa area is good too and the area of the hotel allows you to walk to the most important old heritages of the City.

Very friendly staff with excellent facilities, pool and spa area very nice, very comfortable rooms at affordable prices, breakfast option at hotel is delicious with varied options.

The suite we stayed in had a little sitting area which was lovely to relax in.

Zumre was exceptionally helpful and spent a lot of time talking to us to ensure that everything was good, introduced interesting areas to visit and showed us how to get to Istanbul shopping malls, and booked a taxi for us for our trip to the airport.

Easy to walk to all the sights and shopping areas.

Plus, the hamam/turkish bath/spa area in the hotel are stunningly beautiful!

She knows the area, has excellent guides, and is it all with bright smiling eyes behind her mask.

Spa is top notch, we booked massages and afterwards spent 1hr in the pool/spa area having it all to ourselves (COVID precaution).

The hotel’s located central to many different areas, everything such as the mosques, grand bazaar, etc are 10-20 min walks, there a tons of shops around the hotel, a tram line 10 feet out the door, a spa, a pool, amazing included breakfast, etc.

Perfect location in the middle of the historic centre, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, beautiful rooms and great breakfast.

but really this wasn't my fault so he shouldn't have been unhappy with me.

but mixed weather meant limited use - not the hotel’s fault I know.

The only small criticism, which is not the fault of the hotel, is that it can be a little noisy at night due to the local bars and the tramway that goes right past the front door.

I had a cold for the first two days (I blame my sister lol) and they made sure I had plenty of mint tea to soothe my throat, without me having to ask they offered.


It is difficult to find fault with this stay!

When we had a minor lighting issue in our room, they went above and beyond to fix it.

Nonetheless, after a bit of a delay, we were on our way and the hotel worked to fix the problem as soon as they were aware of it.

Decoration: All the fittings and fixtures of the hotel have been custom-made to give a definite sense of traditional style, with an emphasis on ornate, period gilded-wood furniture, heavy drapes, floral wallpaper and velvet or satin upholstery, chandeliers and glass pendant lighting fittings and wrought-iron work.

The bathroom was separated by glass walls with curtains on the inside, which, when pulled open, created an even more airy and open space.

It had a tiny ante, a small balcony and a glass walled bathroom.

The bathroom it a bit odd in that it has glass walls with curtains.

The glass walls also mean there is just one hook right next to the shower to hang towels and robes, which can maybe hold one, two with difficulty.

The bathroom is a bit strange, a room within a room, a glass box with curtains.

The toilets were very clean and the only problem i had with it was that it had glass walls backed with almost transparent curtains.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff Zumre guest relations was extremely helpful.

Guest relations Zumre checked up on us to make sure we had what we needed during the stay.

Helpful and kind staff,hakan and senol at reception helped us about the flight,the room and the breakfast was all good,sultanahmet square,blue moque,suleymaniye mosque,spice bazaar,grand bazaar are all very near.

I only stayed at the hotel for a couple of hours, to take shower and arrange my luggage after several hours of walking around the area and killing time due to a long layover in Istanbul.

or may be u can go other side of the city around (yusufpasa) ,4 stops from sultanahmet, there u can find historia mall which is the best and the only modern mall of that area.

If you like walking around the city and absorb all the flavors, yet be very near safe areas and easy transportation, eateries and tourist spots, this hotel is placed very well.

It is located within walking distance from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, and many cute restaurants and eateries in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul.
