The waitresses and waiter service were very accommodating and friendly throughout.

This was our third visit to the hotel and once again enjoyed the relaxed and friendly service.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food is provided in out stay (breakfast, snacks and 6 course evening meal) was really top notch.

The blonde barbarian arrived for work just as we were leaving a note with all of our payment/ room and contact details, and decided it was appropriate to scream at the top of her/its lungs that we were out of order and terrible guests.

It would be unfair to blame the behaviour of guests on the hotel, however we had an all male group of Dutch skiers who got drunk and loud three nights and two other groups who did not get quite so drunk

Sometimes you can hear the guests from the room next to yours, like everywhere else

We were not prepared to give other guests the room so we insisted that smell problem be resolved. 3.

however my guests (staying in another hotel) had to pay €55 per menu. That was way (!!!)

but after meeting other guests there completely naked I decided not to use it.

As one guest mentioned, the wifi is a bit clunky,

..something that I only read about in other guest's comments following my stay.

but I could understand why it would be awkward for guests arriving by car as it has essentially no parking nearby.

This drops guests outside a large ski hire shop (Jennewein) where the hotel has arranged for guests to leave skis and boots overnight, so no trudging up or down hill in ski gear required!

The wine options were expensive at an average of 30 euros a bottle so we stuck to a beer and water with our ,eals as did many other guests.

but the hotel shuttle minibus regularly shot past us up and down the hill carrying guests to and from the town during operating times.

but I left with a bitter taste and an absolute determination to take my custom to a business with a more human face and which puts guests as their priority.

Yes the hotel is located away from the main centre on a slight inclined hill

Walking up the hill is an option not a requirement and the views from the hill side hotel are worth it.

If you arrive by train you can also call the hotel and they will collect you in the hotel bus (we didn't know either of these when we arrived and lugged our luggage up the hill).

It is about 10 mins to walk down the hill to St Anton and 15 to walk back.

Whilst not far from the town centre, it's location at the top of a hill makes it an unpleasant destination for skiing.

The hotel is located on a gentle hill about 10 - 15 min walk outside of the main village.

Great facility at the bottom of hill that will store your boots and skis.

Although up a steep hill, it was only a 10 min walk to the lifts or you can take the courtesy bus or ski bus (every 10 min).

The hotel is situated up rather a steep hill, perhaps around 0.4 mile of a walk from the train station.

we have stayed a little further up the hill with VIP ski (hotel montjola) so we were used to the shuttle bus / bus transfers in the morning and eve before we got to this hotel.

The hotel is located up a hill within a 10 minutes walk from the village centre.

The hotel bus takes you down to the Rendlbahn in the morning and there is a ski-bus (No3) every 10 minutes in the late afternoon/early evening - so there is no need to walk up the hill in ski boots = perfect! !

The hotel was up the hill from the main lift area which made waking quite dangerous

but if you want some life central St Anton has many options down the hill.

but not a problem if you are in a good shape and willing to get some more exercise by walking back up the hill.

Hotel Kertess is on a hill which you really only want to walk up once a day.

The Hotel is on a hill, an approximate 10-15 minute walk to the bottom/centre, which can be iffy with snow/ice going either up or down,

The walk up the hill was not a huge issue for us, as we left our ski equipment in the excellent ski hire shop in the town centre, whose staff could not be more obliging.

The rooms are bare, the sauna is creepy, and the food is poor.

Regarding the poor owners mauled hands, she informed us the wounds were inflicted by a neighbours dog, not her own Alsation.

Even when successfully logged in, the wifi signal could be so poor at times there was no connectivity.

Don't expect to log in overtime and poor speed.

The waiters were bad and had poor English and German skills.

but poor quality, and there is no reason to pay more then $100-$150 a day, definitely refuse to eat there.

Rooms are average and attention to detail is missing, towels, toiletries very poor  expect much better from a 4 star.

We agreed that we had never experienced such poor service in any hotel anywhere we had traveled.

Just returned from an enjoyable week of skiing in St Anton.

Breakfast is worth missing the mornings skiing for.

There was a decent stainless steel rectangular shaped pool ideal to do lengths in cold water which was great to cool down after skiing and helps relax your feet that take a hammering from skiing.

Chose this hotel as a last minute option for our annual skiing trip.

Our family took two rooms for a short skiing holiday.

The meals were delightful and much apprecited to help fuel an active skiing holiday.

Combine all that with a sauna, steam room and pool to relax after a days skiing.

A comfortable stay at the Kertess Hotel for a week’s skiing with my three sons.

The bottom line is overall we had a time skiing as the snow and weather were good

We were happy with our experience at the Hotel Kertess for a week's skiing.

The hotel has an agreement with a ski shop in town center so you can leave all your skiing stuff there over night for free and do not need to carry it around with you.

We were immediately helped regarding parking the car and being ferried to the slopes so that we had an extra half day of skiing.

I've just returned from a group skiing trip (10 in group) and we stayed at Hotel Kertess.

Tha sauna is really a good place to rest after skiing.

The beds where comfortable and I got good sleep from an exhausting day of skiing.

We traveled in a party of 9 with Crystal for a week's skiing in St Anton.

The dog does not smell like another reviewer mentioned and is very well behaved.

This got pretty tiring after a while
- The blinds were inadequate and let a lot of light through
- The room was directly over the entrance, and smoking area, of the hotel 

I spoke to both the hotel (and the Crystal Rep) about the issues, and the response was frankly pathetic.

Whether you’re on the second floor or the fourth floor you will hear people walking up and down the street or standing outside smoking all night long.

As if this is not enough you are knocked down by a cigarette smoke that leaks from old walls and furniture…There are many old

but extremely small shower booth and very old over-washed towels like a send paper, smelling tobacco.

Also, after reading several complaints about the smoky conditions in the bar, we would like to challenge any previous reviewer to point us to a bar in St Anton where people are not constantly smoking - we doubt it exists,

It was built from concrete blocks and aluminium sheeting and smelt damp and musty.

My only criticism is of the second hand smoke in the hotel which i found very inconsiderate for the majority of non smokers to have to deal with, and i found it uncomfortable in the evening around the bar area having to sit around people smoking.

The worst thing is this is a hotel for smokers!

-  The van driver who drove us to the ski lifts was extremely nasty --- slamming the door on my son who was attempting to get off the van to be with his wife who was not allowed to get into the van

but includes old furniture, damp, exposed pipes and meters, hole in the shower room floor, cracked sink basin, condensation etc. etc.

The bar area also sells pizzas if you can’t be bothered to eat out as the hotel is only B&B.

Hotel it’s self was perfect, very cost rooms and spacious, breakfast was 10 it of 10 with a good selection of both cold and hot options.

For example, the shower is handheld, no mini bar or fridge, no under curtains (can't leave curtains open in room as overlooked by an apartment block), radiators awkward to regulate heating in bedroom (very hot and had no marks to indicate temperature on dial),  no air conditioning, no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities.

No fridge in room which was a shame

Sauna doesn't open till 3pm.

Take care they charge for the water bottles in the room  it looks like they are for free because they are not in the minibar.

If you really want to go to St Anton stay elsewhere, this is way overpriced for what it is and even breakfast was disappointing, buffet and you have to boil your own egg and difficult to find a clean table.

Did not like:
- Not able to lock the room door from the inside (no chain / lock equivalent)
- No minibar in the room
- Pillow - too soft.

I think if some of the above were rectified, would be better value for money, and justify price and a much better rating

I would say it's a little bit on the expensive looking at the price on booking.com as it's not a luxury hotel.

But he was rude and it’s annoying when you pay a lot to stay here) all in all very nice hotel, I possibly would go back, however if this guy is the owner I don’t feel I should spend any money with him so I guess I would recommend the hotel,

I think that the prices more than double during the ski season

but make sure you don't book only days before is not worth it with extreme peak pricing.

The only drawback was the cost of breakfast.

We enjoyed the hotel, the atmosphere in Nasserein and the skiing in the wider St Anton area.

There is good storage for your skis and a sauna area to relax.

The main advantage is the quiet area, away from noisy bars, restaurants, and late night drinkers.

The hotel is in the Nasserein area at the quiet end of St Anton, so no disturbed nights sleep from part goers!
