 - ~ Since The Lancaster is the only hotel in the Theater District, we found the seclusion to be quaint and romantic (& quiet for a perfect night’s sleep).
 - Hotel location is great for being near the Theater District.
 - Visiting Houston twice a month, I had typically staid at the Four Season which is wonderful, until a friend asked if i had stayed at The Lancaster in the Theater District.
 - We were fascinated watching an exciting renewal of the Theater District and will surely visit again to view the results from a luxurious and comfortable room.

 - There were tile pieces loose and the depth plate was wobbly, the wall paper in restroom was peeling, the TV in room was old & we had walk down to check-in to get paper instructions on how to reset.
 - Only 15 channels on the TV No microwave in room No room service Pool was small and only two umbrellas so no shady places to sit.
 - First of all, nothing to watch on TV except FAKE news and Food Channel, NO microwave due to COVID, REALLY???!!
 - Could not hear the TV over the music.
 - The only complaint I have was the lack of tv channels - about 10.

 - They were able to suggest romantic food & romantic rides at the boardwalk inn.
 - Pool was very clean and hot tub was perfect, with music playing and open till 11 we enjoyed a romantic nighttime swim.
 - but when it’s waking you up in the early morning, or it’s disturbing ANY sort of quiet time you’re seeking in your room, or disrupting romantic time with your spouse, it makes you start to plot ways to disable the train during the night.

 - The room was fantastic - we got a double queen plaza view and it was just beautiful.
 - Their description of our suite was “ Three private balconies provide a perfect place to enjoy fresh coastal air and take in the sights and sounds of Galveston Bay and the Boardwalk Plaza below.” VERY disappointing!!!
 - But the plaza view has good views of the water.
 - Our view of the plaza and Gulf was amazing and very relaxing.
 - Fair warning: there is good and fun live music on the plaza until 9 pm and a train whistle that goes off occasionally until 10:30/11.

 - Asked to see pictures no answer.
 - The TV was very old and the picture quality was even worse.
 - We paid for the olaza view and as seen in 1st picture did not recieve the desired room for 1st night.

 - but lacks upkeep, I.e., the pool had a sign “we apologize for the appearance of the pool liner it is being worked on” however the liner just needs a good scrubbing or complete replacement but no evidence if either.
 - A photo of that “bay view” would clearly have shown the huge neon Bubba Gump sign directly in front of the balcony with the 96’ tall roller coaster, the century wheel and the double decker carousel etc with little snatches of water way in the distance!!.

 - Removed all top bedding and tried to sleep with a new sheet with the lights on for a couple hours.
 - We kept the "do not disturb" sign out the whole time, so I couldn't tell you about the cleaning services,
