We checked in to free champagne  a friendly festive staff.

They provided complimentary champagne, late checkout, and one night of valet parking.

The front desk offered us a glass of champagne on our way up to the room.

Great conversation and they created a relaxing atmosphere to dine.

The bar/restaurant food is fine dining without the stuffiness.

Everyone was so nice and we highly recommend room service as the food takes only minutes to get to your door.

We all ordered our tea and soon after the trays of delicious tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts were brought out.

~ Since The Lancaster is the only hotel in the Theater District, we found the seclusion to be quaint and romantic (& quiet for a perfect night’s sleep).

In any case, we enjoyed the usual excellent service and facilities for a perfect romantic weekend stay.

Enjoyed a very romantic stay for Christmas topped off by pictures in front of the Christmas Tree which one points with the wife.

In conclusion, a delightful find in the downtown area which deserves its claim to Most Romantic Hotel in Houston.

The hotel is beautiful romantic and relaxing.

Their attention to details of hospitality elevated our entire stay to a higher level of romantic decadence!

If you are doing anything in the the Theater District or just want a romantic getaway, I highly recommend this hotel.

The Lancaster fulfilled two recent wishes - to have a great romantic get away evening in an elegant setting with my husband and to spend some quality time with  our granddaughter in a place that she would consider "cool".

We went the weekend before Valentines Day for a romantic getaway.

Our king size suite was luxurious and a great romantic get away!

We took a romantic stroll to the Aquarium for dinner and there was a festival going on so we had a little fun too.

We had a great view of Jones Hall and the size of the room was perfect for a cozy romantic evening for a couple.

very well mantained older historic building, from mini bar to in-room snacks to breakfast, all included in the room price. NICE!

We arrived late and the night light was on every time we went back to our room.

The amenities of the room were first class, and extremely comfortable.

The breakfast is very good, the room we had spacious and quiet.

Also, the snacks in the hotel room are complimentary.

Clean, beautiful, luxurious room, bedding, and amenities.

The rooms are comfortable, quiet and immaculate; the food excellent and once again.

We had the room and service all to ourselves, and Kate, our server guided us through the different tea options and all the foods.

but the space is make shift with small rooms fitted with big noisy TVs spoiling a quite Sunday morning; for light sleepers the AC bugged me, cycling on and off every 10 minutes with a noisy clicking sound.

From the front door to the daily snack deliveries, every part of the Lancaster was top notch.

Complimentary in-room snacks and non-alcoholic beverages were a nice touch.

Very clean and the amenities are awesome: free in room snacks, free gourmet breakfast buffet, sparking wine at check-in, valet parking, exercise room.

Plus, all the snacks and beverages in the room are free so that's an added bonus!

From check-in, to dinner, to the free snacks and cleanliness of the rooms, everything pleasantly exceeded expectations!

Jesse & Danny Ruiz at front fest were amazing help they both went out of their way and explained about breakfast, snacks and gave us directions and suggestions of where to eat.

The hotel is excellent; good breakfast, appreciate the snacks in the room and the rooms are very quiet and well appointed.

Travel is difficult these days and when a hotel sincerely cares that their guests are comfortable from the moment they cross the threshold it make the entire trip.

After a long haul flight his legs are numb, his balance is affected and his communication and processing speed are delayed.

The Lancaster Hotel is a charming location in the theater district.

Room is clean and it’s right in the middle of the theatre district

but if your looking to stay somewhere in Houston this treasure of a hotel right in the theatre district has all you will need and more  to make your stay a memorable, enjoyable experience!!

My best friend and I chose this landmark hotel in the center of the theatre district to enjoy downtown Houston and to see a show, located only several blocks away!

Opened in 1926, the boutique-sized hotel (less than 100 rooms) is located in the Theatre District of downtown Houston and is about a 15 minute walk to the Convention Centre.

I would highly recommend The Lancaster to those visiting Houston, especially if your stay involves the Theater District which is only blocks away.

The hotel is located in the theater district, with great access to commercial businesses and restaurants.

The hotel is in a central location, right in the middle of the theatre district and right by lots of offices.

The hotel's strategic location in downtown Houston makes it the perfect choice for business travelers as well as visitors attending events in the theater district.

Also, if you are in town for anything in the theater district, this hotel is centrally located to all the theaters.

I’d describe it as a bit of a boutique hotel that is situated in the middle of the Theatre district.

And you're right in the middle of the theater district downtown.

Hotel location is great for being near the Theater District.

Visiting Houston twice a month, I had typically staid at the Four Season which is wonderful, until a friend asked if i had stayed at The Lancaster in the Theater District.

If you plan to use Chase's Luxury Hotel Collection benefits, be advised that you need to give your room number when paying for the breakfast and $100 at the restaurant or spa, otherwise your card will not be credited.

There was a slight miscommunication and resulted in an erroneous  charge.

The pool door was locked and so my husband went to the front desk to ask them about access and had the hotel card, they told him that they had to speak with me since I reserved the room- i had to go back up to the lobby….

They even charged our car without being asked to do so!!!!

I was charged on my card (charged, not on hold) an extra $100 at checkin for extras, which I did not use, and despite repeated requests, it has never been refunded.

She continued to refuse to allow me to check in with a valid driver’s license and credit card.

Plus we stayed one night and got charged about double what the website quoted for parking.

Only complaint is the excessive overnight parking charge.

I signed up for their rewards program and received an immediate $25 restaurant credit, which I believe you get with every stay.

Upon checkout the front desk receptionist apologized and waived our valet charges.

We left our Tesla to charge at the Tesla charging stations located in the parking lot by the lobby.

Then when i got my bill the next morning they charged me for my pkg (which included $100 food credit and 1 car for valet), PLUS my food and valet.

They said I would need to have a credit card.

They cheekily then add a service charge and delivery charge to the costs of the drinks, and by the time you add a tip, the drinks become hugely expensive and all because they're saving money on not staffing the pool bar.

He proceeded to tell me that the hotel would waive the charge for the first night due to the circumstance.

I was like well I was and she proceeded to tell me that she could have told me me no that that would accept my card.

ZaZa contacted me and said they were upgrading us to a suite at no additional charge.

I purchased the "Splash Package" which included valet parking, $40 credit towards breakfast and late checkout (1pm instead of noon).

(No fumbling around for credit cards or IDs)  What's this?

I just love staying there because everyone makes you feel at home, and the location in the beautiful Museum District is an added bonus where you can immerse yourself in some of the world’s best art, history and the beautiful green spaces of Hermann Park!

The location is gorgeous, steps from museums and Hermann Park which is lovely to explore - all sorts of gardens and nature.

We enjoyed walking in Hermann park, restaurants, lounging by the pool, our facial and massage in the spa, and chilling on the balcony.

Great location, you can walk to the museums or Hermann park.

I recently stayed at ZaZa near Hermann Park for a birthday and anniversary celebration.

It is also within walking distance to Hermann Park, Rice University, and the Houston Zoo.

It is convenient to everything Hermann Park, the medical center and countless museums.

The location is great, situated off a traffic circle near the Museum, Hermann Park, Rice University, and the Texas Medical Center.

(Museum of Fine Arts, Hermann Park, Museum of Natural Science ,etc.  )

The Museum ZaZa is across the street from Hermann Park and the Museum of Fine Arts so we enjoyed the short walk to both.

Most museums and Hermann park can easily be reached by foot and the hotel also offers a free of charge shuttle service with impressive longhorned SUVs.

So convenient to museums, the gorgeous Hermann Park, the Rodeo or the Medical Center.

The surrounding area is filled with museums and lovely places to walk especially Hermann park.

The location to the museums, restaurants, Hermann Park, & Rice U couldn’t be better.

The room was amazing with a wonderful view of Hermann Park and the Medical Center.

I really like the rooms that overlook the Mecom Fountain and Hermann Park.

The hotel lives in the building that once housed the old Houston institution, the Warwick  It sits in the museum district right on the corner of Hermann Park, and is walking or short driving distance from the Museum of Fine Arts, the Natural Science Museum, the Zoo, the Montrose district, Rice University, River Oaks, and the Galleria.

Location is close to museums, Hermann Park and Rice University.

That means that you are within walking distance to the Museum of Fine Arts, the Comtemporary Art Museum, the Natural Science Museum, Hermann Park, the Health Museum, the Children's Museum, the Houston Zoo, Rice University, etc.

Centrally located to many areas of Houston.

Missed my connecting flight so needed to stay one night in Houston.

Located right in the Museum district, this hotel will be my home on every visit to Houston.

We ended up getting tickets to see the Houston Astros and Zaza gave us a nice in a black suv with longhorns on the hood.

This was my second visit to this property and I’d never stay anywhere else when visiting the Medical City area of Houston.

Being a native Houstonian, I always viewed the old Warwick as a true Houston institution, being a standard bearer of good taste and excellent service.

The location is one of the best in Houston, the Museum District !
