We had two nights in Honolulu and wanted to see a lot while we were there.

though I'd stay here again even if I was spending a few days in Honolulu.

Our overall experience of our staying was very good and we recommend this hotel for staying near Honolulu Airport.

This hotel appeared to be one of the better deals in Honolulu.

It is quite close to the Honolulu airport and has a shuttle that runs back and forth to the terminals.

It was so convenient for parking and right in the middle of Honolulu, close to freeway access and airport.

It is also convenient to the Honolulu bus system that got us to Pearl Harbor in no time.

We had what I considered a great rate for Honolulu.

However we caught the shuttle provided to the Honolulu hotel that is paired with the BW and enjoyed dinner there.

The Plaza Hotel is a high rise hotel conveniently close to the Honolulu airport.

This hotel was perfect for our late night arrival to Honolulu.

Room was not well lit, looks dirty, room smells musty, and AC was too loud.

The wall air conditioner also had a very loud sound, that would prevent a restful night's sleep.

The AC in the room was loud enough to block out the road noise.

The  noise is very loud & there are lots of gaps around the doors/sliding doors which let extra noise seep in & the AC can't keep the room cooled properly.

but there was NO way to adjust the very cold AC unit!

That, together with a loud airco unit makes it almost impossible to sleep.

However, the pillows were uncomfortable, there was poor air conditioning and no locker for valuables.

Room amenities didn't work including AC and after a week I am still bandaging up some sort of bug bite I got there.

Our room, a pet-friendly, family room, was on the backside first floor, so it was rather noisy, especially owing to the rather loud & obnoxious a/c window unit.

The fan is controlled by a central system and you can only adjust the temperature.

If it wasn’t the road noise keeping you awake, it was the air conditioner.

The only way to block out the traffic noise was to keep the loud window A/C running and the room smelled a gym locker.

Booked for 4 and there was 3 towels and the air conditioner sounded like a 747 jumbo taking off.

It's also apparently impossible to completely turn off the central air conditioning (a maintenance guy came and could only jam a towel over the outlet) - not a big problem

It also was chilli in the room and tried to cut off the A/C and the thermostat didn’t work so we were cold the nights we were there and to top it off $30 a day for guest parking.

There is plenty of air conditioning so if you like to sleep cold this is a bonus the thermostat does not work so don't try and adjust the temp.

but both of the other parties traveling with us experienced issues with their air conditioning and either had to be moved or had to have someone come work on it.

We turned the climate control on Fan Only at night and did not hear the noise from the highway.

Location is ideal, close to airport, close to shops and restaurants, offers airport shuttle service.

This hotel is so close to the airport, we even later walked to get our rental car,

So noisy from elevated freeway that hotel literally sits under.

She got us to the airport outside the every hour on the hour shuttle service, so while that dinged them, overall, I would stay here again.

In addition, they provided a complimentary shuttle in & out of the airport which was SUPER convenient.

Hotel is dated, and if you are a light sleeper between the highway traffic and air traffic can be tough to sleep or stay a sleep.

There are enough stores and restaurants near by for a different atmosphere if your choice is not the hotel restaurant.

It is ,though, a bit run down (rugs) with out-of-date decor.

All in all the rooms are dated, very noisy, the little store was very overpriced, and I didn’t even want to eat in the cafe.

It is right by the noisy freeway and in an industrial area by the airport.

The room was located under a highway overpass and was incredibly noisy.

It's a pity there has been no attempt to lessen the noise of the 3 levels of highway right next to the hotel.

The hotel is surrounded on two sides by highways and overpasses that are very loud!

And don't have to worry about the highway or airport noise that they don't tell you about, just that they are conveniently located, that means were nosier.

Area itself - immediately along and under the Nimitz Highway  - does not inspire a person to want to go out and take a walk .

The highway is a bit loud, so it might be hard to sleep if you need perfect silence.

The double window glazing does not provide optimal isolation from the incessant noise traffic of N Nimitz Highway of 

If you are sensitive to highway noise, do not stay here at it is literally right next to the highway.

Expect to hear noise from the highway right next to the hotel.

The main criticism was that there was a lot of road noise, as it is situated very close to the elevated Nimitz Highway and there is no double glazing to block the sound.

Only downfall is that it’s right next to the highway so at times it does get a bit noisy

Try not to get a room right next to the highway though, you can hear traffic 24/7.

the property does have small issues, like the parking being tight and it being a bit noisy from the highway noise.

Don’t get a room right by the elevator because it is extremely noisy.

We could hear traffic all night long so it’s a good idea to have earplugs with you.

There were only two elevators, so you may want to plan in advance to avoid traffic jam during the rush hour.

but everyone on the floor i caught noise from because i was next to the elevator.

It is a very noisy hotel - noise pollution from busy road running beside hotel is terrible.

The construction and the loud noise that went with said work started at 8am every morning.

The windows are very thin so the road noise was very loud making it difficult to sleep.

My Bondi building had 8 hrs of electrical generator repairs there no power, elevators, water, internet, etc.

The rooms are extremely noisy due to the location next to the freeway.

I had an amazing experience at the Airport Honolulu Hotel.

The location was great for us as we flew to Honolulu one day and wanted to fly to Big Island the next morning.

Will definitely make this my go to lodging when in Honolulu

Would stay again  The shuttle driver  was especially good and helpful in advice about getting around Honolulu.

He claims that they have the best wifi of any hotel in Honolulu,

They truly care about your experience and the location is centrally located with easy access to Honolulu and the Interstate.

We stayed at the Honolulu Airport Hotel and the staff was fantastic.

All this and a highly competitive price so close to the airport and we will certainly stay here again when passing through Honolulu.

My husband and I have stayed at the airport honolulu hotel for a month now and have had a wonderful stay.

Our stay at the Airport Honolulu hotel has been great!

but when your staying at the honolulu airport hotel its a plus all the staff treats you like family and you feel the aloha right away.

The reception staff was helpful in guiding me to places of interest in Honolulu.

We have had a great experience here at the Airport Honolulu Hotel in Hawaii, as we await housing on the Marine Corps base.

Very Nice airport hotel for a transit or a stay in Honolulu.

The only advantage is it’s close to the airport Parking was 40 a day when it was cheaper on waikiki island.

Well the good things are the hotel is close to the airport and the staff were excellent.

The hotel provides a free shuttle 24  hours a day and picks you up from the airport and drives you back to the airport.

As we arrived late at night, the hotel filled its mission - a place to sleep close to the airport with free shuttle service.

There is very large gap at the bottom of the room door so unfortunately you hear everyone walking in the hallway.

One side of the hotel is next to the noisy freeway and the other is next to some construction where vehicles are reversing from 5.30am to 10pm.

Some of the rooms can be quite noisy because of the nearby highway
