Also I have to say great pool area and wide activites you can do around the hotel.

Also would appreciate some tea in the spa area, which is really missing.

Hand sanitisers and masks are accessible everywhere, also all guests are wearing masks in public area which makes us feel secure and more comfortable.

View over the mountains, pool and restaurant area. Great.

Most of our group were pretty fed up by then and just got on the gondola for an area they had already skied.

Spa is very nice - big heated outdoor pool and big sauna area's.

The area offers great opportunities in terms of activities, places to visit, small villages to explore, beautiful mountains to reach by cable cars, and great restaurants for your taste buds.

I also tried the spa area as well as the outside pool.

This is an exceptionally well managed and beautiful Hotel situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Really really great place to stay and if you lucky to be in Kitzbuhel area you cant go wrong with Kempinski das Tirol. we will for sure be back very soon ;))

The spa and pool area was an excellent way to relax at the end of a busy sightseeing day.

The area spa was large, gorgeous and a welcome end to a long day snow boarding.

The views from the room and dining areas are breath taking, specially for someone who comes from India, with temperatures crossing 45 degree C.

Staff is very accommodating and always ready to assist.

We like slops in this region especially in Poste-Turn area.

Can’t imagine a better place to stay in the Kitzbühel area.

Maybe they may build a nice apres-ski bar / restaurant, right next to the slope.

We did go to the bar and were well served by Cindy who certainly knows how to mix cocktails --- delicous!

Special compliments to the manager of the bar who recognised us as well and even knew our favourite drinks.

We ate in both the Steinberg restaurant and Rubin’s bar, the food and service were first class.

The bar is cosy at night and in nice weather spills out onto the veranda.

When I went to the lobby a gentleman there said that the bar will be open soon so we can eat there.

Another show of the good serviceability of the staff was that my daughter wanted to eat at the spa, so the restaurant staff delivered the pasta to the spa bar and she ate there.

Frankly there was not an issue to meet the GM as he was watching TV in the bar frequently.

A huge TV screen was installed in the bar for the World Cup.

At the reception, in the bar, the restaurant and the cleaning personnel: very friendly and authentic, they are there without noticing them.

the bar and the vinoteque are nice and well pointed.

Excellent breakfast, as well as snacks and dinners enjoyed in bar/restaurant.

There' s a lounge bar in the 1st floor where  can smoke with a montain view and also live music at night, serve lunch & dinner in and out of bar.

Extreme waiting time for lunch especially in the pool bar and many more details like cleanliness.

They picked us from Kitzbuhel Station in Merc and the luxury starts from here..comfy room, arrangements, lavish breakfast, products provided, spa, bar, wine selection and "service".. staff is so pleasant and welcoming every where.

The room was enormous with a King size bed, separate bathroom with bath and shower, a big closet with lots of space, a safe, bar fridge and a separate toilet.

The hotel is very clean, the food and especially the breakfast is really good quality.

Breakfast is really nice, with a great variety of food and good service.

This was our 2nd stay to Kempinski Das Tirol, we always enjoy the comfort of the hotel rooms and Kempinski breakfast, even in the time of pandemic this Year around.

The omelette at breakfast buffet is really the best!

The breakfast is great, lots of options and constant refill.

Breakfast and dining at the main restaurant was good and it was excellent in the Sra Boa, their Asian place.

but dinner and breakfast heaven every day. .

Sra blue restaurant and breakfast quality is really good and you can find many kinds at breakfast and dinner as well.

So we stayed 4 days and the rooms and everything is nice with the very good buffet breakfast.

Luxury Breakfast and spacious rooms complete the experience .

The food at the BBQ on Friday evening was excellent, the dessert buffet could have been richer as there were only fruits and ice cream.

Breakfast was just perfect, with home made appfelstrudel and smoothies.

Breakfast was served from 0730hrs to 1100hrs and it was exceptional with a vast aray of delicous food---- something for everyone and more!!

The waitress, Patricia, at the breakfast would remeber the order of my requests for food and every unique and special request.

Breakfast was excellent with choices to suit every taste.

great huge breakfast with varity dishes, luxury room with balcony facing the mountain.

Furthermore it was quite difficult to understand the lighting concept, where can I switch on and off the different lights - it seemed that there was not even a main switch.

Some smaller drawbacks: The view is not that great, when you take out the room key from the main switch all lights turns off instantly, and you need to use the key for the elevator – stupid since you can take the stairway without using a key.

Whilst the staff is generally friendly I have so many examples of terrible service - like waiting in the lobby bar for 45 minutes and never being served a drink, to 5 unanswered calls to housekeeping to come turn on the lights in our room that had blown a fuse and did not work at all.

but once you remove the key room from the electricity slot, the lights go out immediately.

Food, bars drinks remarkable, I ordered a coctail, which wasn't on the menu,

We tried to order something at 15.00 at there was no one there.

Poor guy had 4-5 orders constantly and the hotel was half full, so you may need to wait 10-15 minutes.

I had strong impresion that the entire team of waiters was taken from touristic colleague for training (slow, unattentive, forgeting and missing orders,

at the arrival, our booking was mismanaged thus I had to spend 15 minutes at the checking proving what I ordered and paid for
.

(Not for everybody because some people really try to) I call room service to order food for my baby, she hung up on me!

We booked the spa for x1 day of rest during a skiiing holiday - and although the spa was fantastically equipped and the treatments great there could be improvement on staff availabilty in the bar area - we had to go locate someone at the main reception to make an order, and ok so it's no real problem,

Orders and dishes were confused, the bills were messed up.

but it's somewhat inconvenient) until late afternoon, so you couldn't easily order lunch by the poolside.

Needs to improve in children area, the lady was lazy and just looking her phone instead of playing watching couple of kids, also there was a strange smell from the sink in the room that was not fixed during our stay

Other basics like hotel shuttles forgetting to pick us up or repeatedly calling for an iron for over for an hour, only to be told none was available, and therefore missing the Christmas Eve function, compounded our disappointment.

It was extremely difficult to get service from the front desk by phone as they simply choose not to answer calls. C).

The bad
Maybe a slight annoyance when the rain shower was dripping cold water when I was using warm water from mobile shower

- Every night at about 8pm I had to call reception for turn down service as the child should go asleep.

In addition to that the reception or restaurant would rarely pick up the phone.

the service needs improvement, phone did not work, no pen to write at desk, no amenities like toothbrush etc.

Expect to be stopped by Police at Night while driving, since city goes to sleep early and local authorities are surprised by tourist driving around.

This is the only hotel we've been to where a toddler could borrow floaties for the pool and then be fed fom the children's (and child-height) buffet before going to sleep after which the parents could enjoy a leisurely dinner due to baby-sitting and baby-monitoring options.

- I could not sleep very well in the bed as it was quite hard and not very good "upholstered".

Older dougter (3years) slept double bad with parents.

but during the night the traffic is very small, so we could sleep well even with open window.

but woke up with a dodgy stomach and didn't really feel that it would have been the best activity for me to undertake, as I tried to cancel I was told I should be made to pay 100% of the cost.

In particular the restaurant service was poor and slow every night.

Even when you receive a router, it is horrible in the room and very slow!

The first night we were tired so went to the hotel restaurant around 20:30, we left at 22:30 and I'd just had a starter and my husband a starter and a main course (they brought him the wrong starter out first), as a pregnant woman I would definitely consider 2 hours slow service!!!

Besides, you can find empty serving tables at breakfasts and very slow service.

The hotel is at 7km from Kitzbuhel, surrounded by mountains.

We were fortunate to get a connecting room overlooking the mountains.

This is an absolutely non-relaxing feature if you are looking for a 5-star mountain get-away.

We had really cool room with a stunning view on the mountains.

If you looking for an Alpine retreat for a few days to relax in a Spa with a view of mountains, have a little to do in the area when you bored or just to do some hiking, this is a place to do it at decent value for money ratio.

although, nice, was located right on, and overlooking,  a fairly busy road .

Our room had a mountain view and was immaculate, well thought out and very comfortable.

The setting is classic Tyrollean nestling in a valley, with an outdoor pool, looking into meadows and mountains.

I was 4 nights  and enjoy so much , A great room with view to the mountains , with a nice balcony.

Rooms are very good, views are beautiful.

The views are beautiful both from the room and from everywhere in the hotel.

The hotel offers great rooms and great views.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay here in a superior room overlooking Jochberg village.

The spa area is very unique with the most comfortable loungers to relax upon and enjoy the beautiful view.

a very charming spa area, great food and the location itself has a magical castle atmosphere. it is not the typical wellness hotel with hundreds of rooms and leaves you your privacy :)

We also enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool and spa area.

We had a hire car and were able to easily explore the lovely Tyrolean villages down towards Lienz and up into the mountain pass/ ski areas like Westenhof.

Very charming place to spend a few relaxing days in the beautiful Hohe Tauern area.

The Spa area is lovely with pool, sauna and steam room.

Massages were high quality and the sauna area is beautiful.

The ski area is huge and we probably didn´t use more than a 1/4th of the slopes during the four days we skied!

Cozy bed, lovely seating area, amazing freestanding bath an enormous terrace are definitely the highlights of the suite.

[Great bathrooms ]The pool and spa was enjoyed by all as well as the fabulous chairs in the spa area.

The warmth and friendliness of all we came in contact with makes this a very special place! Each area in the castle exudes quiet elegance - the décor is very classy and not "overdone."

For all outboor freaks: several hiking areas, i.e.

It had a balcony overlooking Mittersill and the Kitzbul Alps area.

Every morning after breakfast I descended to the valley, hopped the train and explored the area.

Renovation was just being completed as we arrived including the opening of a spectacular spa area with outdoor pool.

but with the hiking and skiing opportunities in the area we didn't really miss them.

On my birthday, Schloss was surprised me at breakfast time with prosecco and a delicious cake.

But hotel wise the room was perfect bed very comfortable shower and bathroom very good with perfect water pressure shower - breakfast was outstanding and staff very Corteous.

Austrian cooking with locally sourced ingredients.

Breakfast was good as they have made-to-order eggs.

The breakfast is very much complete with eveything you can expect from a hotel of this category - great selection including champagne, smoothies, meats, fish, cheeses, fruits, eggs or waffles.

View at breakfast out over the mountains is amazing.

Breakfast is included and was an extensive buffet, plus eggs or pancakes, (crepe style folded into quarters) or waffles.

The included breakfast was extensive and delicious.

The food is excellent, as much at dinner as at breakfast (which, as often in the Germanic world, is a bit generic).

I had a charming stay with a great breakfast and fantastic views of the alps right from my room window.

Here again they balanced between friendly/family with treating us as honorable guest. The breakfast buffet (cold dishes, bread, yogurt, musli, fruit etc.)

Fantastic getaway, very romantic, great breakfast and very good service.

Everything was delicious, and we ate everything!.

One could easily eat all meals at Schloss Mittersall as the menu is varied, extensive, and delicious.

From the hearts desire breakfast to the lunches in the courtyard to the fantastic dinners.

At maximum  a room  of a 3 star  hotel,  not a 4 star  superior!

Not exactly my idea of a four star hotel experience.

Open concept bathroom  off to the side of the L-shaped room with claw footed soaker tub looking out over the view.

however the choice they have for wine in a glass is very very poor, low quality and overpriced.

Kitzbuhl and the National Park Hohe Tauern are nestled close by Schloss Mittersill.

We attended a conference at Schloss Mittersill in July 2015.

One of my favorite reasons to travel to Germany & Austria is the hotel breakfasts - and Schloss Mittersill provided an excellent spread - from homemade fruit compotes to all manner of local cold cuts, cheeses, breads, etc.

Schloss Mittersill would be a perfect place for a wedding with its beautiful courtyard, numerous rooms.

The stay at Schloss Mittersill was definitely a highlight of our trip through Austria.

I stayed at Schloss Mittersill for 4 nights while attending a conference meeting on the premises in late October.

I would sincerely like to thank all of the team at Schloss Mittersill for all they did for us to make our wedding superb and we really can't wait to visit you again.

The view from our room to the mountains and overlooking Mittersill was picture postcard perfect.

We stayed in the Princess Soraya suite which is located in the very top of the hotel with an incredible view of the Pinzgau valley below.

Beautiful castle, friendly staff, stunning view, perfect weather for August, 22-27 Celsius during day time, things to do with kids in the close neighborhood, heated swimming pool, SPA, nice food, Nespresso in the room :)

There is a large private balcony with panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains.

The rooms are large, views great - and the staff is wonderful!

Enjoyed the pool, the view from the deck and hearing the church bells.

The views are stunning as are the unique characteristics of the hotel - battlements, towers, meandering corridors - everything that characterizes a medieval germanic fortress.

The bathroom and shower -- not to mention the veranda -- had great views of the mountains, in part because it is the highest room in the castle.

but greatly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, and beautiful views.

The rooms are modern and spacious with expansive Austrian countryside views.

Half way up a mountain, this castle turned hotel offers a unique combination of medieval looks and modern comfort.

Both give amazing views of the mountains.

Outdoor pool and spa surrounding mountains all relaxed us after skiing.

This lovely hotel, a stone's throw from Kitzbühel, near the Dolomites and overlooking a charming, lush valley, is an exceptional experience.

The food was consistently good and the rooms and common areas very nice.

They also had a great outdoor playground and a bike/mini car riding area which was perfect.

Children liked sledding on the hill few steps from hotel, they definitely liked the kids club, swimming area and the playground outside.

but very well for families with children which are still at the beginning of their skiing career, and larger area on just 15 minutes drive).

The views of Wildkogel ski area at night from our room were magnificent as well.

The hotel is traditional Austrian in style with spacious rooms and four separate dining areas which ensures you don't feel crowded even when full, as it was last week.

The surrounding areas of the hotel are simply amazing, all the advice you need is provided by the staff and Mr Maier who gave us some personal tips on the best walks which was great.

There is also (according to my wife) an excellent spa with wonderful treatments and a lovely swimming pool area.

but were very happy to find out that the hotel has only 30 rooms, and does a great job separating the play area from the relaxed sitting area.

Horst or Butu would let them into the kitchen preparation area to select whatever they wanted.

For the adults, a few drinks in the comfortable area near the children's drinks bar is an excellent way to finish off the day, playing Monopoly or one of the other many board games available, or simply chatting to friends.

Lunch was available (if you are there) and included hot dishes and a good salad bar.

There were always drinks (juices, coffees, hot chocolate, tea, water) for self service on the snack and buffet area so for me I thought this was plenty.

Two times we had a buffet (Italian and Austrian) and both buffets were great.

They sorted all our lift tickets for Wildkogel and childcare for our daughter there at the hotel. We went skiing for the day and they brought her to us for our family dinners there at the hotel (dinners and breakfasts were excellent there as well!)

The entire hotel is spotless, food delicious, wine great, suites comfortable.

The food in the hotel is first class with a range of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the wine list is also of an excellent standard.
