we ate dinner in the hotel food was fine also breakfast next day was good and plentiful with a nice selection,On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who said that there was a problem regarding my reservation the voucher was for the correct day

The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very accommodating.

The bathroom was also a problem: the lights flickered, there was only a plug that did not charge our phones, the hairdryer would stop working after 5 minutes of use, and the shower water ran brown.

There were some odd 'special effects' like blue lighting behind the spare toilet paper roll.

We did not get a river view and were therefore overlooking the parking lot.

In the end we had a great room with a fantastic view, we had a tasty dinner in the dining room, and walked up the very steep and arduous footpath to the viewing point - the view is definitely worth the effort!

The spa area has been refurbished and is good for what it is.

Many cyclists ride along the Donau and choose to stay at this facility, which also has a wellness spa.

Add in a pretty good restaurant, a nice swimming pool and clothing optional saunas and steam rooms and you are immediately put into a relaxed healing atmosphere breathing cool, clean air in an immaculately maintained facility.

There is a spa area with saunas - even squeamish Americans strip down to their towels and thick, hotel-supplied robes - and an indoor pool.

but I'm sure it is a great place to stay longer, to relax at the spa and to visit the surrounding area with spectacular views.

We stayed for one night as part of a bike tour and thought the hotel facilities were brilliant.

Beautiful Hotel right on the bank of the Danube River, perfect for biking the EuroVelo Route 6.

This was the first night stop of the bicycle tour from Passau to Vienna  - Its around 50Km from Passau on the South Bank of the Danube - Situated on the Schlogen Loop with the overwhelming scenery all around.

We are on a cycling trip from Passau to Budapest and it was on our planned route.

That said we have a very enjoyable one night stay here as a party of 2 in a self guided bike tour to Vienna.

This 4 star hotel-resort on the Danube was booked for us by Radreisefreunde Co. as part of a self-guided bike tour from Passau to Wien.

All in all, we had a decent stopover here on our cycling tour.

Great facilities for those on a bicycle tour along the Donau.

The food for dinner and breakfast was also excellent.

They were some very nice tables with fantastic views that were empty and when I inquired if we could move they said no and that this would be our table for breakfast also.

The hotel is wonderfully welcoming, with lovely clean and fresh rooms, well decorated and furnished.

The staff was very nice; the atmosphere in the hotel pleasant, the food in the restaurant was excellent.

but the room was big, open and airy, with a huge balcony.

Our room decor was very modern and inviting with an incredible view out across the valley from the panoramic windows.

The SPA-area, the comfort of the service, the breathtaking view, the familiar atmosphere and the fine food, all together a place worth visiting.

The staff were friendly and the whole place beautifully decorated and furnished.

Our room was large and nicely decorated, the bathroom was excellent and had a separate toilet.

While we didn't find time to use the spa facilities or pool, they appeared clean and quite inviting.

Food choice are wide and tasty, the 5 course dinner a little bit too much.

Dinner was Weiner schnitzel was parsley potatoes and help yourself salad bar.

Later at dinner, he (Sebastian) turned into the best server ever!

The same view was enjoyed when having an excellent dinner on the verandah.

Dinner was delicious, the staff were fun and spoke great English.

Food and service was exceptional, no doubt the highlight of the trip in the food experience department.

Dinner on the terrace was lovely with a choice for me as a vegetarian too.

The only down side was that the wifi did not work in the rooms - only in the foyer!

The bed is very uncomfortable could not sleep well.

Single rooms are very small, the bed is the worst I have slept in for a long time, rather like a student hostel type.

The room was rather small and wind caused some noise.

The panoramic pool was also very good, as was much appreciated sauna.

The rooms are huge and modernly decorated, and the hotel has a spa with an outdoor and indoor pool.

The only negative is the lack of wifi in the room, the only hotspot being in the reception area.

They have a bicycle garage and also offer camping on the grass out the front.

Arriving on bicycle you can park safely in the garage that gets locked for the night.

Breakfast starts at a convenient 7.30 in the morning.

Buffet breakfast included in the price is pretty nice.

The inn restaurant serves breakfast and dinner.

A nice little restaurant with good prices, a good breakfast and very friendly staff.

Lovely location,  clean and attractive rooms (try and get one with a balcony overlooking the Danube), good breakfast.

Breakfast is great with local ingredients, like strawberry preserve from the area.

We stayed here on our bicycle tour, whilst it is isolated they serve good food at very reasonable prices.

We found a spotlessly clean room with good sized bathroom, free wifi, a pretty good home-style restaurant (frequented by locals as well as tourists staying in-house) and a typically generous Austrian breakfast.

After a good breakfast we were on our way the next morning.

It is definitely worth to make the small detour to the restaurant if you are on the road from Linz zu Passau in the Danube valley (130).

Sipping Tea/Coffee on the back porch, a leisure walk around the place and a sumptuous dinner on the back porch were the highlights of our stay.
