Great breakfast with all the regulars, pancakes, bacon, hash browns, yogurt, cereal, muffins, etc.

Chain hotel in Hinton, basic breakfast, good laundry facilities.

Plus the free breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold offerings.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our breakfast - good to have a decent hot option.

The room was incredibly spacious, the kitchen in the suite larger than expected, the service was exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was hardy and they had delicious cookies at the front desk.

Not only were we able to bail out of the quality inn they were able to accommodate an extremely early check in to not disrupt our sightseeing in Jasper with all our luggage. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was amazing (they even offered us breakfast upon an early check in!)

The breakfast consisted on basic fruit, yogurt and prepackaged muffins.

but the pan was probably 10 inches and was very uneven, so when I tried to fry eggs, they all ran to the side of the pan that was in the air and didn’t touch the burner.

Breakfast even with the covid implements was still great and a wonderful variety!

The hot breakfast options of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns were excellent and gave us a good start for a day ahead.

They are pet friendly.Their complimentary breakfast was excellent.This will be our # 1 place to stay in HINTON.

WiFi was good and the breakfast was excellent consisting of eggs, sausage and even perogies and bacon as well as the usual good fruit, cereal, waffle and drink selection.

The hotel is very clean not only in the rooms also in the lobby, elevator and by the breakfast station.

We arrived to a quick check in , delicious cookies at main desk .

There is plenty of free water and night time snacks (pop corn, cookies) available, There is free laundromat if needed.

Customer service was outstanding, from the warm friendly greetings at the front desk to the extra amenities that they provide, like fresh-baked cookies, muffins, yoghurts, bottled water, fresh popcorn in pm, and coffee 24/7.

There were complimentary cookies and popcorns as well.

Friendly staff on reception, offered free cookies, popcorn, and two bottles of water even before we had our room cards!

The hot pop corn and home baked cookies on offer were a lovely feature.

Hotel also provides free cookies and popcorns in the lobby.

Wide variety of breakfast foods both hot and cold included and popcorn and cookies at 5pm!

Coffee/tea (and sometimes cookies were available in the lobby 24/7).

Service was amazing, as staff were excellent, plus free cookies and popcorn upon arrival.

The positive - new hotel,  clean, comfortable rooms, adequate breakfast, free parking, good Wi-Fi, cookies and popcorn in the evening.

A couple of niceties - freshly baked cookies at the front desk in the afternoon, excellent Wifi (though we used the hardwired connection in our room for even faster speed), and almost too much water pressure (not adjustable) in the shower; rare in these days of water conservation.

There is popcorn and cookies also in the lobby for those who get the munchies.

The breakfast was something nice and simple to have in the morning, the cookies on arrival were a nice touch, basic room for a night before driving back through the National park.

My recommendation is to book direct so all the money stays in Canada:)

Staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and spacious, WiFi access point right in the room, actual glasses and cups (not paper or plastic), housekeeping on Christmas Day, and hot/cold free breakfast with actual plates and cutlery. Oh.

We were in the motel portion of the hotel and were pleasantly surprised with how spacious and clean the room was.

The room was clean and well maintained, and the overall condition of the motel was excellent.

but there was smoke all over and I noticed weeds smell in the night from next rooms.

While sitting in the hot tub with my two young children the maintenance man came and dumped in some powdery chemical.

though that they look into their staff because when we walked by the cleaning lady on our floor she reeked of Alcohol, so that's kind of unprofessional.

The floor was stained and the room smelled funny.

but there was still damage to the walls and the nightstand between the beds had an old cigarette butt sitting there.

The room stank of cigarettes, there was hair on the bed and in the bathroom, not to mention stains everywhere in the hotel.

That popcorn you smell when entering reception is free to guests as are the cookies on the counter.

The accommodation is situated East (down-wind) of the Hinton Wood Pulp Mill which is evident from the smell outside and inside the building.

One thing I really noticed are the stuffy smells when first walking in the door.

although it had a strange smell seemed clean.

Unfortunately we had a smoking room as it was the only one left.

The pool room has kind of a gross smell that was not chlorine.

Non smoking room smelled of old smoke and there was lots of hair in the room.

The only negative was the smell of eggs and bacon early in the morning coming into the room - there seems to be poor ventilation.

Men bathroom according to my son was smelly.

The staff were amazing and very accommodating.

The staff were so helpful especailly theBeaver Boardwalk.

The only thing I like about this facility is front desk customer service they were cordial & helpful.

Overall stay was impressive, so thanks team.

The staff on every level have been nothing short than amazing.

The stay started well with a very pleasant front desk lady who was very friendly.

Before my trip I had several questions and communication with the hotel was great and I even got a call from hotel instead of answering me by e-mail, so my 1st impression was that this hotel had a great customer service.

At check-in the guest ahead of me had a dog and the front desk agent allowed them to stay in a non-pet friendly room.

Nicki at the front desk was pleasant and the sweetest and always willing to help and answer our questions.

Apart from her, everyone on the staff was very kind and very nice.

Huge shout out to Claire B, she was super helpful with everything and very informative about Hinton.

but was super heavy, as they had no fresh fruit (apparently their shipment was coming in later that day), and the walls seem pretty thin, as our neighbours were not being loud, but we could hear them talking, and could hear their tv.

On the other side of the wall, in the hall, facing our bed big noisy ice machine working almost all the time.

The rooms (as suggested in previous reviews and comments) were very very noisy (thankfully I had ear plugs with me) road noise, industrial noise from local industries, and paper thin walls.

I should address the noise too , the walls are paper thin and you can hear noises of tv’s , kids crying and people walking from below , above and both sides .

but decided to leave after one night. The walls are very thin and in one of the adjacent rooms (or above us?)

The only thing i would complain about is that the walls are thin and  you do hear everything from the next room, the microwave running, toilet flushing and people talking.

the walls don't offer much in the way of sound proofing.

The walls are quite thin and our neighbours were a little loud to say the least.

It was all cramped along one wall so it was congested with a bunch of people trying to get their food at the same time.

The walls in this hotel are paper thin and we could here everything from rooms either side of us (TV and general conversations, toilets flushing and coughing and sneezing).

Although the walls were not absolutely sound proof, it did not bother us.

You really can hear everything through the walls.

The only drawback of the hotel is that the walls are thin and you can hear what goes on in the room beside you.

The air conditioner in our room would only run for 10 minutes and shut off.

The airconditioning in the corridors is set on such a low temperature that it is like walking in a fridge.

I sleep with the room fan on low and heard no noise.

It felt really odd walking past it as it blew on your head.

Cons - thermostat didn't work will and the room was quite hot, pool was cold.

Hot tub was broken and the pool was freezing so the kids were disappointed.

we had a view of a wall and an industrial unit.

The 'low' fan just seems really, really high.

but make sure the room you get is not near the make up air unit.

You'll have to call the front desk to ask them to configure the unit in continuos ventilation mode or.

However, in the middle of the night on both nights, the A/C unit on "fan" would shut off for no reason, causing the room to get very warm (on a cool night) and waking me up.

My only comment was the heating fan ran all night - our only choice would have been to shut it off completely.

I've stayed in a lot of rooms where it was either scorching, or freezing - it's no good when you're too hot or cold.

Holiday inn Express obviously understands that having an accessible room is not just installing a grab bar.

That same morning there was a funky smell coming from the HVAC that could be described as well used hockey gear.

The only thing I could complain about is that the AC was noisy and the room door was not sound proof.

Room was very clean, pillows were excellent, large screen TV, and the continental breakfast was excellent.

We all love hot turkey sausages and hot pancake.

Breakfast and the lady who serve breakfast went above beyond to serve us and other customers.

Breakfast was included and set us up for the day.

The breakfast buffet was minimal and cold foods.

The breakfast was excellent and the dining area was spacious.

Pool was excellent for the kids, and the rooms were spacious

The complimentary breakfast was great, the portion was enough to last us through the morning hikes.

Many hotels are doing a grab and go breakfast instead,

But the breakfast will still be the same industrial swill.

but quite dark Breakfast was included which was very good No safe in rooms  Beds very comfortable We had a microwave with plates and cutlery I found this very good.

Breakfast was above average with omelets, sausage, bacon, bagels, freshly made cinnamon rolls, cereals, yogurts, etc.

except for a coffee bar and the cinnamon buns which were in the large dining area.

The cinnamon buns at breakfast were delicious and so were the pancakes.

Most important thing you need to know is FRESH BAKED CINNAMON BUNS (kept warm under a heating lamp for your culinary pleasure)!!!!!

Also had cereals, a pancake maker, cinnamon rolls, English muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, coffee and juices.

Breakfast is included with your stay - juice, coffee, toast, muffins, eggs, bacon, waffles, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruit.

We were originally booked into a family suite which is located on the lower level, which is fine.

We had a family suite as there were 6 of us.

Nice room - it was a family suite in the basement.

There is something called a family suite in the basement at the hotel.

We stayed last minute and booked the last family suite available.

..It has everything going for it: huge rooms ( the only thing you need to remember is bring a foamy for the fold out couch beds as there are two singles in the family suite

They was an odor in the hallways that was like wet clothes smell.

One thing that really messed our stay was the noise which was coming from the corridors and from the room above us.

We also encountered cleaning staff in the hallways every day with their masks off around their chins, at a time when a provincial mask mandate was in place.

We used a family room in the basement and found the hallways there to be quite cold.

however the noise  coming from the hallway and room above ruined any chance of a peaceful stay.

We experienced a constant turmoil in the hallways and in the lobby that while not really bothersome was at least a little disquieting.

The room we were put in was located at the end of the hallway on the main floor..there was mud all over the hallway floors and garbage was overflowing from the garbage bin by the door..I suspect it was because of all the oilfield workers staying there

The halls can be a bit loud thanks to shift change with the oil field guys

Between the howling dog and the loud men who were presumably practicing their bowling skills in the hallway at 2 am to the loud banging, shouting and cursing across the hall for someone wake the **** up and open the door at 5am I barely slept.

We could hear everyone talking as they passed in the hallway.

The hallway to get to the room from the elevator in the basement was extremely loud from the noise of all the hotel systems.

I was disappointed with the mud all over the parking lot from guests' vehicles, and the dirt that was tracked into the lobby, hallways, elevator, etc, and wasn't cleaned up.

So the place was near full, and you could hear people in the hallway, and people walking in the room above us.

The water slide, pool, and hot tub were big hits with our grandchildren.

I've been in a lot of hot tubs as I like to go to pools often, and it was the same both times that we stayed.

We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and the waterside, albeit short, was zippy and had my heart pumping.

Make sure you stop by there pool and go in the hot tub and try out there waterside.

There is a pool with a waterslide, a sauna, a hot tub, Breakfast buffet (with half decent food, similar to a European breakfast), and also a workout room.

It also has a sauna as well as a hot tub.

The pool and waterslide are great, as well as a hot tub, and a sauna.

The hotel is about two years old, very clean with pillows that I wanted to take home with me, pool with slide, hot tub AND sauna.

i had a very hard time falling asleep as my neck kept pinching with pain (just something to keep in mind)

staff were all friendly, and i made a request to stay at the back side top floor of the hotel which they were able to honor for me so i had a great view. breakfast was included, it was good

After a long day of driving through the beautiful mountains of Alberta a great resting place with a good breakfast.

The breakfast was just amazing and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast room to the housekeeping were always helpful and friendly.

My truck was robbed directly outside the front doors, right under the cameras in just a span of a few hours.

We Stayed for 2 days , we were put in room no 412 ( queen Suite ) 
But the door was broken we have to lift the door for closing , The Smell in the room was untolerable ,

Noisy though, could hear everything from hallways and rooms next door.

We may stay again as overall it was not bad experience other than breakfast and some room door lock issue.

The doors slam very hard and both nights, I was jolted awake multiple times.

We got to our room and couldn't open the door at first assuming our key was still attached to the 302 room.. that was fine just a quick switch she fixed our card and we were able to get in.

Also when asking for a late check-out because it takes alot of time getting my daughter out the door, the lady at the front desk was quite rude!

Come the morning to check out  ( 11AM) housekeeping knocks on my door at 9, seriously?

Our door didn't lock, as we found out later that night, so everybody could have walked in and out for a whole day.

This Ramada is old and dingy; beds were pretty bad and the bathroom was so tiny you couldn't get to the toilet without closing the door.

15 minutes later, I was woken up by a knock on my hotel room door.
