From the cleaners to the reception to the bar staff and restaurant - everyone is so happy, smiley, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so friendly, especially Maria on the beach bar, after 2 days she remembered my order and drinks were poured when she saw me; always serving them with a little dance.

The food was amazing, big choice for everyone, staff were all lovely and friendly and went above and beyond to help in anyway they could.

The hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly.

Wonderful holiday the hotel is beautiful and the team around the hotel are so accommodating and friendly.

The hotel is amazing the food was amazing and the staff well they can’t do enough for you all kind polite I must also say the beach bar is run by a lady called Maria she is absolutely amazing, she is extremely happy in her job very happy kind friendly and extremely helpful I can not praise this lady enough, hotel management are also fabulous as we had a incident we’re one of our guests became unwell Maria radio through and the management team were there within two minutes what a rapid response.

Quick transfer from the airport, quick and friendly check-in too, we also had 3 filled lunch boxes in our room fridge on arrival which was great as we got there around 9pm.

All in all a great holiday and made some great memories here that we’ll always keep close to our hearts.

Overall  we had a good time and a holiday is what you make it.

I confirm all positive reviews written on this site, this place is wonderful for a family vacations.

Just got back from a lovely holiday at the Akti Zeus.

The food and drink was very good throughout the holiday.

Highlight of our holiday most incredible day out,  highly reccomend and it gives you a insight into how gorgeous crete is and how horrendous the hotels location is.

but it's a holiday and people were enjoying themselves so all is good with me.

What an amazing holiday, my first time going all inclusive so wasn't sure what to expect.

but efcharistó to everyone who made our holiday such a great break!

All in all though, love Greece, loved the holiday.

You don’t even notice it, you can’t smell the ‘toxic fumes’ people complain about and it doesn’t ruin the atmosphere or your holiday.

Despite all the above we made the most of our holiday and had a good time

Would recommend this hotel to any family looking for a relaxing beach break.

Overall we had an absolute great time here and we would like to thank Atlantic Atki Zeus for a perfect holiday.

however ,The food in the restraunt is poor, i can honestly say ive been to lot of AL and travelled a fair bit, this is by far the worst food ive had, we had raw chicken which we informed the staff, they were horrified and apilodlgetic,we let the Tui rep know incase anyone became ill. My partner and i got diffrent chicken so it wasnt isolated.

Highly recommended to all, adult entertainment is a little poor

It was quite poor overall and again very little interaction with people round the pool area.

Sort of economic peapole coming to this place make stay really poor.

The all inclusive is poor, especially with the drinks unless you want to pay “more” money to get a better drink which goes against an all inclusive package.

Entertainment is poor, costumes, dancing , kids disco all lack effort and input from TUI.

although saying that I thought the entertainment was poor so we didn't miss out.

Other than swapping rooms  the staff offer no solution which leaves the next poor family to be constantly disturbed.

has very poor people skills and really needs to think about the manner in which she speaks to people.

I want to start this review by saying I have never left a poor review of anywhere as it takes a lot for me to hate somewhere that much .

Ignore any poor reviews especially regarding the power station this has no effect on the hotel at all.. it tells you about it when you book it therefore shouldn’t be surprise when you arrive.

Check in was poor and didn’t have a cot available on arrival, no drinks available.

The drinks at this hotel are poor.

Our air-conditioning was very poor, I'm not sure if this was just our room or was the same throughout all rooms

The evening entertainment was brilliant, especially the man on the piano; got us up dancing to some classics.

Entertainment was ok slightly caravan park type except for the lady singing on legends night who was really good.

but that looked well looked after too
- The entertainment team did a fab job with the kids disco, everyone loved it
- The archway with the flowers is beautiful
- Really close to the airport - don't bother with the Tui transfer just grab a taxi, you'll be there in 15 mins!

The entertainment crew are young kids who are keen and encouraging.

Entertainment team tried very hard on a low budget and always had smiles on their faces, they are a credit to the hotel.

We never ventured up to the evening entertainment bit there was always something going on.

if u want to experience santirini this trio is great gives you 6 hrs on the island, i wouldn't say its value for money and its a tad chaotic

Had some wonderful entertainment, particularly loved the singers who are booked In.

The nighttime entertainment was a massive let down, the entertainment team host it in the ‘conference room’ which in the evening with low budget entertainment felt a lot like sitting in a miners welfare club - so we avoided that!

The entertainment team were lovely, the sea was great with big waves to jump in (I'd recommend purchasing some sea shoes as there's some big rocks in the sea) and the pool was always kept clean.

Think my 6yo boy has a crush on Skyla, insisted on going to the mini disco, think he fancied his chances!

although the sound did cut out on some of there shows in the evening.

Entertainment in the bar was relaxing and enjoyable.

The evening entertainment was good if you could get  a seat in the tiny 80s style conference room which was extremely hard to do.

The evening entertainment was quit interesting.

The evening entertainment was very very amateurish and always running late.

The pool has a lively feel, with plenty of things to do offered by the hard working entertainment team and friendly spa staff.

but the carpets in the corridor could do with an update, they were splattered in bleach stains.

My wife hit her chin on my sons head causing a nasty cut that required 5 stitches.

Only down side is that the slush wasn't included (€3 )

The power plant, I don't get peoples complaints with it, you have to go out of your way to look at it, even in the sea it doesn't really catch your eye and even if it does its not even that bad, didn't smell it either.

We could not smell the power station so really did not cause any issues.

Ignore the comments re: power station, it’s not that close and didn’t smell or bother us.

but we were not aware of how big it was and how much you could smell the smoke most evenings.

but I honestly can’t see why it’s a problem, we never looked at it a thought anything about it we never smelt anything from it and it’s really not that much of an eye sore.

right next to the active power station that was  smoking all day leaving horrible smell in the air.

Btw there is a small power station next door - the pictures look far worse than it is - you can barely see it unless you’re in the top bar and can smell it or anything.

Bath and balcony really bad smell from drain.

Really disappointed when we arrived as I live on a main road I was not happy as my room faced the main road and the power station , con-try to other reviews I could smell the power station and sitting around the pool you could see black smoke coming out followed by yellow smoke .I asked to change my room

but did not impact on our holiday as not smelly or noisy as others have suggested.

Negatives
- The power station is ugly, occasionally smelly and almost guaranteed to be expelling something into the sea at the hotel's beach.

I think I noticed it twice in the 10 days we was there and smelt it once when the wind blew a certain way, the smell didn’t stay….

The carpets in the corridors are filthy and the rooms need some TLC.

The only other negative was that smoking was permitted throughout the outdoor spaces around the pool and the cafe which was frustrating with children.

We were greeted every day at meal-times by the lovely Sofia.

Absolutely brilliant staff team, Maria the events manager was superb for my nieces wedding, Maria pool bar excellent, nikos and Stefanos all brilliant as we're all the staff.

The best thing about this hotel is most definitely the staff.

We them sat down to get a drink went to the bar to be greated by the wonderful Stefanos who explained the drink menu etc made us a fabulous cocktail after that we went to bed as we where shattered.

The biggest treasure of this hotel is staff, very firendly, openhearted, tolerant, hard-working people with always sincere smile on their faces.

My husband also lost his wedding ring in the swimming pool and felt that reception didn’t really want to help him and didn’t seem to understand the importance to him.

All bars are great, drinks in ample supply and bar staff helpful and efficient.

but the response was so abrupt it was unnecessary.

My 2 children went down the water slide and then the lady supervising the ride told my wife it was safe to go.

It's a beautiful place and the staff are fantastic.

but were blown away by the friendliness of the staff.

Maria the rep is lovely and incredibly enthusiastic about crete!

Enjoyed an hour or so each day in the water park.

Water park is super fun and worth a visit our daughter loved it and so did we 

All of the bar staff where fantastic and made our stay laughing and joking.

We had no issues with the water park and felt the life guards were really ‘on’ safety.

We paid extra for a rollaway bed which meant our daughter had a proper bed rather than a sofa bed, so would recommend that
- Our room was nice and quiet and the evening entertainment finished at about 11 so no issues on that front 
- The water park had two kiddy zones and adult flumes - can easily spend 2/3 hours there which is great
- Lots to do, we only left the hotel twice.

We had a great afternoon at the water park.

Loved the water sports (hiring jet skis) and water park on sight!

The water park was great for my daughter and never to busy.

We had a great 2  weeks here kids loved the water park food was excellent was a bit worried before we came as read a lot about the power station don’t know what all the fuss was about you have to really look to see the towers from inside the hotel would definitely stay again

The water park was never over crowded, was such a bonus that there aren’t any queues at all and my toddler really liked the ‘non splashy’ little slides at the back.

The walk down private beach area is perfect and the water park feature for the kids a great addition.

but the water park was great fun we went everyday.

I wish we could give them all a tip…Great for families and the water park is a super addition to break the day up.

One of our party is gluten-free free (allergy) which we made sure to let the hotel know before we arrived and again when we arrived as this is an all-inclusive resort.

An all-inclusive hotel in front of a great beach, where you and your kids can enjoy swimming, many pools, one of which  has two waterslides!

My favourite was the champagne and sushi bar (included in all inclusive) Georgios was the perfect host here, he made us feel so welcome every night.

Late summer sun and 5 star chic makes for the perfect all inclusive get away to rest, relax and rejuvenate at this gem of a hotel on the northern coast of Crete.

We returned yesterday from what without doubt was the best all inclusive stay we've ever had.

We absolutely recommend Rinela to everyone who looks for an all inclusive well designed resort with a homely atmosphere!

Out of the all-inclusive resorts that we have visited, Rinela stands out as the one that our family had the best time at.

We took the all inclusive option and thoroughly recommend it as we did not have to think of organising anything from arrival to departure.

The food is great, cocktails are the best we've had in an all inclusive, and the waiters and waitresses are just superb.

Why can’t the bars have self service beer / soft drinks and wine dispensers like every other all inclusive hotels.

It was nice that we stayed active while eating all day at this all inclusive resort.

This was our first all-inclusive experience as a family and we found Mitsis lived up to our expectations.

We selected the all-inclusive 10-day package, opting for the family superior room—a basic, yet clean, double room designed for two adults and two children.

This was our first stay with Mitsis and we'd gone all in and booked a Swim Up Room, all inclusive - great choice for us as it offered us complete flexibility throughout our stay and a wonderful, safe environment for the kids.

The Chinese restaurant, pizza corner and even the Greek restaurant are 5 star worthy.

Food - We booked into the A la carte restaurants as soon as we arrived, out of 11 nights we ate 3 nights at the Chinese and 3 nights at the Taverna, we also had about 3 lunches at the Taverna, I was able to book on my Ipad a week in advance.

I have to admit I still struggle with the cattle market tendencies of the main restaurant despite the polite & speedy staff - the Greek & Chinese restaurant provided welcome relief & we soon avoided breakfast & lunch altogether preferring to use the delicious waffle/crepe bar & pizza oven by the pool and beach.

We did book for the Chinese restaurant one night and that was excellent, really tasty food,fresh and hot and with decent wine.

The hotel has 6 bars and 6 places where you can order everything from Crepes to Pizza to BBQ food to fine Greeek dining to Chinese to Sushi to everything you can think of in the main restaurant.

Taverna and Chinese Restaurant were enjoyable

from the warm welcoming, spotless clean room, golden sanded beach with crystal clear water, the fitness programms and entertainment shows and of course the wide variety of delicious food, snacks and drinks  during all day and night.We let ourselves get spoiled at the spa and we enjoyed the chinese restaurant and the "Taverna".

All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful,the reception staff were also perfect and helpfully.The facilities in the hotel were many,the food was perfect especially the Chinese restaurant!!

The restaurants are fab the Greek restaurant and the Chinese restaurant is delicious, the Chinese restaurant is better than our ones back home in England.

The majority of staff we encountered were lovely, especially Magdalena and Maria in the Chinese restaurant who was just so friendly and kind.

A good selection of food in the restaurant and the option to book the Greek or Chinese restaurant for an evening meal.

Great choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, didn’t get to try the Chinese restaurant as it was always full

The Chinese restaurant is a must, the food and staff are excellent.

Ate in the Chinese and also the Taverna on 2 occasions, food was good.

Various and delicious food in several restaurants especially Greek Taverna, Chinese Restaurant and Pizzeria on the beach; excellent staff service and attitude, nice and professional evening shows and daily animations both on the beach and pool area.The beach was very clean despite the waves in the first days we were there.

Try and not book room numbers in the 200 block and your stay will be perfect I'm sure There is a Chinese restaurant and a Greek taverna which you need to book 24 hours in advance

Staff work very hard and are mostly very pleasant and friendly.

I must add though, the staff in charge of showing customers to their rooms and carrying the luggage were very friendly and helpful.

The grounds are definitely aesthetically pleasing and most of the staff were friendly enough.

The hotel was absolutely 10/10,clean,very high standard.staff were very friendly, attentive, always had a smile.on site there was 5 restaurants,and can honestly say food was 10/10 from breakfast,lunch dinner and snacks in-between I never had a bad meal all food was fresh and well cooked a huge choice for all tastes.

The fitness instructors were all so friendly and helpful, they made everyone comfortable and we would recommend the classes.

Staff is super friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

638, spotless and maintained on a daily basis by a very friendly cleaner.

All staff are friendly with our chamber maid (rm620) being brilliant whilst Maryanna on front of house was extremely helpful and Harry the lifeguard ensured safety and fresh towels around the pool.

Everyone was very friendly, staff is great, from reception to housekeeper.

And people here is so friendly, always greets you with smile and Greek kalimera.

It was out of touch with how the rest of the staff had behaved; very matter of fact and not too warm or friendly.

Very relaxed, just what a holiday should be.

In April this year, I visited this hotel with two friends for a girls holiday.

although we had a really lovely holiday, I do feel some things let the hotel down.

I was ill with a viral infection right up to arrival at mitsis rinela, so was looking for a peaceful holiday to help recovery and from arriving at check  in was greeted with a warm smile and a welcome.

We’d pre-booked them all as soon as we’d booked the holiday and it wasn’t until 3 days before we left that we realised we’d booked the Asian for the day we departed

Very good, we spent a wonderful holiday at the Mitsis hotel, a very nice beach and a very well-kept hotel complex.

We have had a fantastic late summer break at the Mitsis Rinela.

Truly relaxing seven day break in lovely hotel which is staffed by an army of angels.

We usually holiday in Dubai so used to a high standard of food, service & amenities.

Our holiday really started on the Friday morning.

We had here a holiday with a few families.

Food/Drinks: This is the main area the hotel lacks in - the main restaurant is really quite poor, the selection is very small and wasn’t great.

The beach bar staff are way friendlier and actually smile 
*The pool is so deep with only a small shallow area so unless you want to tread water all day you’ll find most people sit on the side 
*buffet dinner/breakfast — poor quality, options limited, same daily!

but we couldn't have stayed longer than a week because of the poor quality of the food.

The hotel rooms are actually beautiful we had a swim up room with a secret bar (it was that secret we saw the waitress once in 48hours ) so we had to venture off to the main pool where most of the sunbeds were taken and the service was poor so you were stood waiting at the pool bar .

The service at the main bar in the evening was particularly poor unless you were seated around 8pm.

The a la carte Greek -  I have never seen such poor class meals.

For the money paid I would never come back here because the shockingly poor drink service, whether its alcohol, water, soft drinks.

The room we had there at Mitsis Royal Mare Thalasso was very poor to be honest.

although there were a few poor meals - for instance in the ‘a la carte’ restaurant where slabs of pork loin, greasy pitta breads and cold aubergine were unpalatable.

Long queues, unclean areas, sluggish service, poor food quality, and a lapse in customer focus diminish the overall prestige of Mitsis Rinela Beach Resort & Spa in Crete.

Buffet style breakfast which provides poor quality food sadly.

Totally disgusted by this hotel and here is why:

- food is very poor
- some of the hotel has a good spec,

This again is pretty poor for a five-star hotel, I don’t think ive even been to a four star hotel before that doesn’t have a gym….

First evening meal in main restaurant - poor choice, warm white wine.

Not 5 star in my opinion

- Service in the Asian restaurant and night time bar was poor.

Wait until 8.30pm the evening before check out to find out if I had got my request approved for the following morning - poor management.
