Had to walk to and from the car every day before going on a trip.

Rounding a corner into Berliner Allee we saw the signs for the H-hotel car park.

but was told no 
Three cars parked there all night.

Our room was on the ground floor facing the car park

It was all the time, and in addition to the above, it was bikers making burnouts, car alarms going on every night, delivery trucks making short cuts etc. etc.

The only downside was the proximity from the reception to the car park if you are carrying bags,

The room was very clean and quiet with a nice sunny terrace overlooking the garden.

Higly recommended, very helpful staff, clean rooms, very comfortable excellent breakfast' a lot of parking free of charge and the location at a quiet place outside the old town.

but the meats were always really varied and cooked well,breakfast was also very good with a wide variety and choice,rooms were clean,and everyone seemed to have a balcony,its about 20-to 25 minutes to walk into the town,the train station is the first thing you get to and  the town of Goslar is fantastic really historic and the markets lovely,I would have liked more time there to explore the surroundings.

but the heating is centrally controlled , and some fellow travellers thought that the rooms were a bit on the small side if there were 2 in the room .

Although the room was rather small that did not matter is much as we were out most of the time .

The rooms themselves were tiny and run-down with squeaky beds, threadbare linen, and cabinet doors that did not close.

It is a 3~stars hotel not 4 star, the property is old

Have they advertised with 3 stars the rating would have been higher.

She then went on to explain that if we wanted a tourist map (the type that every other hotel in the world, never mind any 4 star they claim to be, hands out for free) - that would be €1.50.

Though the hotel has 4 stars, the rooms did not give that impression.

There are no safebox and minibar at the room, which is very strange for a 4 star hotel.

Room on the third floor , 320 was spacious, bathroom a little tiny and not at a best standard

So I spent 5 days 4 nights in a hotel room with NO room light except for the toilet light and the small tiny lamps at the head of your bed, which cannot do anything in the room!

She forgot to inform us about parkinghouse/rules and did not deliver bathrobes.

Water pressure was bad, shower was a mixer tap.

overestimated the hotel lives on old merits, small old rooms, narrow toilet.

The bathroom ventilator fan was incredibly loud.

Bathroom is small with one of those circular curtained showers.

Had two nights in a 1 personroom and it, as the bathroom, was small.

The shower room was small and not very clean by arrival.

but there was no bath and the bathroom was so cramped that you had your feet in the shower tray when sitting on the loo!

but the rooms were very small, with tiny bathrooms and stained carpets.

On arrival we greeted by reception and our bags taken to our rooms efficiently, whilst checking in we ticked off our evening meal preference which was limited to meat or fish due to our late arrival.

It was too loud as well due to the train station next door and the church bells ( we would expect soundproof windows).

Due to time constraint we stayed only one night

if you need a quiet room - this will be difficult - the noise of other patrons in the passageways and closing doors is LOUD due to the non existence of sealed doors.

but will not be going back due to the noise from other guests and station.

Our first room was very noisy due to the trains.

In the evening, the dining room was like a furnace due to lack of air circulation.

We were late from Metzingen, due to traffic outside Stuttgart, and called to book hotel in Goslar.

To us a total No-GO for a hotel in this category and price level.

Her main priority was ensuring that we paid the Harz Tourist Tax, which we had been unaware about.

We looked around checked the bathroom which was also tiny and came out, thinking it was bad for the company to use this hotel and think it was acceptable for the amount of money paid.

Relatively costly hotel room that had a very basic feel and equipment.

and a different waiter to the one who took the order wandering up and down the table looking for a recipient, trying to find someone to pay was also nearly impossible.

I did not have occasion to use the restaurant; it looked very attractive and high quality, if a little on the expensive side.

The breakfast was not included in the price and costed 15 euro pr.

All in all I would´t let my dog stay, avoid at all cost.

but this problem with misleading rates has soured my memory, and I will not be staying there in future.

Having been offered and booked into a new and special design room at a considerably greater cost, we were rather disappointed with the accommodation.

Prices for breakfast were quite high so we walked into the marketplatz to find so many better choices.

I doubt if we would find a similar class of hotel at such a price in the UK!

I have to say that the room cleaning staff was very good — each day our room was very clean.

The room was spotless and I am sure that my pyjamas were ironed every day!

They seem to regularly spray some deodorising agent to cover up the odor

but unfortunately overlooking (and 'overhearing') both the outside bar and the railroad. Lots of people seem to travel to Goslar by bus - and enjoy more than a few (loud) beers in the outside bar (or go out to smoke.)

Second day our room wasn´t serviced and we were accused of hanging the red sign on the door, we were also accused of smoking (we don´t smoke) and finally they refused to tell people on the outdoor terrace to keep it down at 2 am so we slept badly.

Parking was excellent -- right outside my room -- and the room itself was clean, roomy and very quiet (I was in one of the buildings away from busy Marktstrasse).

The room was very clean and renovated to a high standard.

The room was immaculately cleaned with large  bathroom.

Housekeeping was excellent with the room looking immaculate each evening when we returned.

Room clean, good TV reception, plenty of room to store luggage and clothes.

There are several buildings and it took some time to find our room, carrying our bags up steep flights of stairs only to find we were in the wrong building.

A few minor things to note: the elevator did not stop on our floor (some rooms are in between the elevator stops) so having to cart our bags up a flight of stairs was a little annoying.

Keep in mind, that this is an old hotel-very old--and if you have a problem climbing stairs, you might think twice.

We got a room that was just up the stairs, didn't have a number on the door.

This particular room is up 2 flights of stairs

We went to the room I  booked and it would have been a disaster since the stairs were too much and the floor sloped and it was dark.

Cons:  creaks and squeaks, hardwood floors instead of carpeting, from our  Fliedergarten room you can hear everything going on in the hotel bar, lots of tromping up and down the creaky stairs next to our room

Absence of a lift makes this hotel not wheelchair suitable.

there is no elevator so if you have trouble getting up stairs, especially 2 flights then avoid this hotel.

The rooms were clean and spacious with all the usual amenities.

Stayed 2 nights in June, very friendly staff, clean room with view over rooftops to the mountains, great breakfast.

The room was clean and nice, bathroom very good.

Just watch the wifi being a bit flakey- dropping in out of the room unless you are at the desk by the door- Nice room tho with the view of the garden.

Bear in mind that it was still cold weather so there was no necessity to have windows open.

And since they don't have air conditioning we had to open the windows for ventilation.

However this branch does not open until 9am and it doesn't seem to do breakfast so I tried the Hotel Buffet breakfast for 12 Euros.

We were staying in a room that was facing the main road, and it was very noisy from as early as 6 am – due to movement of trains and delivery vans.

I had a room overlooking the station and whilst the view was rather mundane it was double glazed and I could not hear any external noise.

but were not disturbed by either the road or rail traffic at all.

Not much noise even if the hotel is beside the train station.

The one drawback was the street noise if you have a front facing room.

The only thing to watch might be train and traffic noise in the front rooms if it's hot, because there's no aircon.

As before, helpful staff, good sized clean room and comfortable bed.

The hotel is a beautiful 30's building with huge rooms that are spotlessly clean.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

Our room was clean and the area is peaceful.

Large rooms and spotlessly clean all with different art work and named after the artist.

but was a bit troublesome on my iPhone, that needed new wifi-codes every time I woke it up from standby.

In the morning I went downstairs to get the payment for the room sortet out and they had given us a discount due to extremely late arrival and for not sufficiant bedding for the kids (it was perfectly sufficient for us) and the portier told me that we could take our time and let the kids sleep in - no need to rush out of the room for the normal check-out-time.

A really nice place, wonderful surroundings, unique design, clean rooms.

The rooms are clean and spacious and the whole layout of the grounds give it a theme park feel, the restaurant does a nice menu,and the food is excellent .

Rooms were clean, and looked recently decorated with lovely powerful showers.

However the main problem is that you are only given one key per room, and the key operates the front and back  hotel main doors in addition to your room.

There is no (longer) a restaurant, and so the place seems pretty quiet; indeed, the front door remains locked (and so you have to ring a bell to summon a receptionist from somewhere in the back of the house).

The room was very clean and the breakfast was delicious!!!

Nice large (room 31) clean room, with coffee and tea making facilites which is unusual for Germany (and France!).

The room was very clean, and had a fridge and complimentary water.

But quiet is certainly appreciated at night, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Everyone in my family were afraid of going in to the bar because They are so rude to you!!

The location of the hotel is not good either - way above the village (and public transport) and not a bar or restaurant within easy walking distance.

Food was bad and all inclusive bar was self service with poor choice and no bar to purchase anything different until after 8.30 pm.

Sauna, table tennis and all inclusive people have an open bar up to 8:30p.m.

Dinner tasteless, bland, VERY clearly frosen food that had been re-heated.

When food items ran out staff were slow to replenish them.

We were supposed to have packed lunches and were surprised to hear that we had to pack them ourselves!!

Bad food, bad service, no wifi at all, shabby sheets with punctures, cigarette stubs all over the outside area, many dogs at the hotel ?!?

Shower room was clean and modern with hairdryer.

The rooms were clean, bathroom adequate, and no lack of hot water

The hotel as such is a little wornout with old carpets and in one og therooms a smelly drain.

When I booked, the booking said that there is no breakfast included,

Room was clean and had a great ambience about it.

The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and enjoyable.

It was served in the common room where a tray for each room was arranged in the morning, some cheese, ham, jam, nutella and bread.

Breakfast is served on a tray in your room - huge portions.

Strange breakfast arrangement, whereby they deposit a tray outside your room at 7am with various rolls, cereals, cheese, meat, jam/honey. .

but also featuring made-to-order almost gourmet breakfast dishes from their kitchen.
