Tried n tested Kiranshree Portico is an excellent property.Their service is very prompt, their breakfast spread is amazing n the food from their restaurant (Hilsa fish n rice) was delicious.So Kiranshree it is for all my visits to Guwahati!! !

This hotel is at a walking distance from Guwahati railway station.

Guwahati railway station is hardly 5 minutes walking distance.

Conveniently located close to the Guwahati Railway Station and the Paltan Bazar Bus Station, this hotel offers nice, clean rooms with adequate amenities which are standard for 3 star property.

But yes good business hotel near Guwahati railway station.

Pros- Location within walking distance from Guwahati railway station.Clean rooms, modern decor, good breakfast spread.

However, the most annoying thing is to be woken up very early in the morning by the terrible noise and loud honks of the traffic just outside the hotel.

Unfortunately we didn't get to experience the live band, because it was their off-day.

What is annoying is the extremely loud music that is played till late 10:30 -11 PM at night during any functions held at the Hotel.

After a whole day work if you want some relaxation that loud music will irritate you .

Stayed at 7th floor and till 9 PM lot of noise from music being played may be on top floor.

For one, the mosquitoes in the room, the incessant traffic noise from the streets below, and worst of all, we were placed on one of the higher levels and on the weekend, there were crazy clubs/parties right above our room - think non-stop heavy bass from bad bollywood remixes.

but the beds were uncomfortable and we had Mosquitos buzzing our heads at night.

The speakers in the corridor outside the rooms play loud music.

its very well maintained & looks premium.

.. overall very good choice for mid price Traveller.

but price range 6-7K/night for deluxe rooms is costly as compare to Delhi/NCR but looks rates in all hotels of Guwahati is pricy.

All said, this is a conveniently located hotel, maybe a little expensive,

I was further devasted by the reception that there has been a a double booking made  and hence liable to pay.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers to Guwahati as the rates are reasonable.

Otherwise a very good hotel to stay with all amenities at reasonable rate.

Kiranshree Portico is one of the best hotel to stay in Guwahati with competitive pricing compared to other hotels in the city.

Still I will rate my experience as good wrt to my stay in other hotels in Guwahati.

Its has great infrastructure, best foods, best bar & restaurants as well as services and all are offered at the value for money cost.

Kiranshree portico is Located in busy GS road in Christian Basti..it's a vegetarian confectionery cum restaurant backside of sweet stall..very nice n well maintained place..ready-made gift hamper of sweets also available.. Best part u can enjoy cold making kulfi just in few minutes..price are reasonable..

For Airport drop & Pick-up it is advisable to avail OLA or UBER cabs instead of the hotel transport which is costly.

The service is almost 5 star type .Starting from the breakfast to dinner food is good .If you take room service they take some extra tax for this.

Staffs are well mannered and prompt to respond.

We were in this hotel on 8th and 9th November 2017 and got a courteous and prompt service from the reception desk with a welcome drink.

room service was prompt, food was OK. complimentary chocolates,, fruits and cookies are always welcome!

Average sleep quality because the only drawback is that it is situated in a rush area , so you end up hearing traffic sounds , even when your room windows are closed.

If you wish to stay at Kiranshree , get yourself a pair of earplugs.

Rooms are not soundproof hence very noisy.

But it is situated in a busy and noisy locality which is annoying sometimes.

Cons- Expensive,indifferent staff, high decibel noise of traffic etc in lower floors.

The place is very crowded and the approach road is very congested with heavy traffic.

Problem is the front gate only..it's very narrow and one thing I noticed the place is very noisy whole day and from 7 pm to 11 pm they play loud music .

However, in the rooms you don't hear any outside noise.

Only problem seems to be the traffic in front of the hotel.

Unfortunately the location is extremely crowded and full of noise n dust.

but these did not intrude as the room was well insulated against noise.

however there is not much to complain about the hotel once you have made a booking except for the surrounding noise and crowd,,,

this hotel would definitely be the best in Guwahati except for its location bang in the midst of a busy and crowded market with the train station just a few steps along it: meaning that people looking for putting up here for long term stay and travel should be aware that there is a lot of noise due to the trains.

I would suggest the bathroom is upgraded to ensure the shower curtain is long enough to stop water from splashing everywhere.

The curtains do not have black out lining, so the sunlight comes in.

with nice amenities..the hotel needs to install better glasses in the windows to block traffic noise from the street below where motorists start honking from 6 am in the morning..

Curtains are very cheap, don't block light.. its very disturbing if you want to take a nap at day time..

As construction labourerers were working at the site the curtains had to be kept drawn during my stay.

Breakfast and dinner are awesome, lunch is so-so.

We stayed at the hotel for a night and had both breakfast and a meal included in our package.

Buffet breakfast had good variety of north and south Indian items, which were tasty too.

USP is the cleanliness, courteous staff, tasty food with reasonably good breakfast spread.Sambhar was bad

but even with a decent crowd of 15-20 people, the buffet seems to run out of food or the staff don’t replenish it in time

Breakfast is a good spread with a good taste.

Probably the best breakfast we got in our trip in Assam State.

The buffet dinner and breakfast , had hardly anything .

Must go for lavishly served breakfast in morning served in buffet at restaurant which ranges from south indian delicacies to continental and english.

The  hotel is very neat and clean mainly bathroom and toilet.The dinning place is neat and clean and food is good with standard costing.The food option in breakfast is sufficient.The fish preparation is limited to a few fishes.

Mayflower hotel has a very poor refund policy and accounts team including the gm divendru roy and his assistant mr suraj.

Rooms are too compact & poor lighting in the rooms.

but the service provided by the hotel is poor.

The sleep quality was good in spite of poor acoustics, as our room was on the sixth floor which prevented the street noise from disturbing us.

The food came to our table after almost 50 minutes and it made us restless

One of the finest boutique hotel in Guwahati with superb rooms, amenities, food.

Apart from that the room was clean and the food really tasty.

Their restaurant is artistically done and chef deserves an applause.

I booked 3 rooms at this hotel for 21st April 2022 in the month of Jan through MakeMyTrip.

The rooms can be compared to a five star property.

Now the entrepreneurial spirit of the housekeeping staff:
The front desk informs that the room is supposed to have, as standard provisions -  2 bottles of water, Shaving kit, dental kit, shower caps, extra toilet rolls, hand towels, free wifi pw etc.

They provide tea coffee maker in room with comfortable soft beds.

The check in is smooth , rooms good , and service is also good .

Room cleaning service group is good in work.

Rooms were nice tidy spacious with amenities.

the check in was fast and the room was fabulous for my family.The room was neat and clean with all amenities.Food was very testy

The rooms are well furnished with comfortable chairs, bed and sofa.

The rooms were super clean, comfortable and beautiful.

Rooms were stinking and no ventilation was present.

The room stinks, the wall is dirty and it is not a star hotel as claimed.

There was some bad smell in almost all rooms.

Also the door latches & the smell inside the rooms weren't great.

There have been occasions when cigarette smoke smell filtered into our non smoking room and internet is spotty at best.

Excellent Food quality, only restaurant service staff are very lethargic.

Value for money while providing excellent service.
