Excellent service, hotel in great condition, very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts, overall A+.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel was sparkling clean and the rooms were thoughtfuly designed, spacious and accomodating.

The next morning Deborah was at the front desk and was equally friendly, engaging and sweet…also conversed with our little one and made her feel special.

Elevators look like a war took place in them.

The elevator smelled of mildew and something not quite right.

button for elevator looks dirty and tarnished. ..gross.

The elevators last inspection was in 2021 and would run before the doors were closed all the way.

As that room is right against the elevator shaft there is a very loud screeching of metal-on-metal inside the elevator shaft as the doors open and close that are more and more frequent around 6am.

but rooms, bathrooms and hallways are dated, dark and need a major lift, especially if branded as a Renaissance.

The elevators were very dingy and rattled around to a degree that seemed to scare some guests.

I dare the general manager to just go into the elevators and look down….carpets have not been vacuumed in weeks

Room Hallways, disgustingly  dirty.

Upon exiting the elevator my floor smelled like a sewer and that odor lingered into the front part of the room.

We heard everything from the elevator and the room next door.

When we went up the elevator to our floor, it smelled of mildewed towels.

On my way down the elevator to leave, a woman showed me pictures on her phone of her husband's truck, which had been robbed of its wheels and tires while in the hotel's own parking garage.

Dropped our car key through the crack down the elevator shaft, 11am, peak check out time.

stairs do not go the lobby--forced to use elevator at all times.

We had to take the elevator to another floor to heat up our drinks to try and get warm!

Also, I had to pry the elevator door open to get out as the door seemed to have issues.

Plus the temp in the hallway and elevator lobby on our floor was frigid.

Front desk associates were welcoming and friendly on both shifts that I encountered during my stay.

After housekeeping came there was a terrible smell in the room.

I smells like mildew, wallpaper is peeling off the walls, and housekeeping CLEARLY doesn’t understand what it means to CLEAN!!

The room had signs of a busted pipe and the wallpaper and carpet were never cleaned and fixed properly.

This hotel needs a complete cleaning and renovation.

5- Cleaning lady did not show up on Sunday to clean and replenish towels.

I had to take dirty towels to housekeeping staff and exchange.

We didnt bother to ask for housekeeping since we would have to call and request it.

We went to the other end of 12th floor for the other presidential room and it was not cleaned.

Also, we requested cleaning service and never got it.

My room was not cleaned because I didn’t overtly ask for that service.

but no maid service unless you ask by 10 am each morning really isn’t conducive to a relaxing long weekend and sleeping in.

The hallway leading to our room had staining and looked as if the carpet needed some cleaning.

Cleaning service failed to refresh my bathroom.

Also not sure our room was cleaned next day as dirty glasses were left in room(felt like i was back home and nobody will do dirty dishes) so I rinsed out myself so we could use the glasses.

No communication to housekeeping we were select guests and therefore should have turndown and water (no newspapers either).

It's older and needs some cleaning and updating.

The higher level windows needed to be cleaned where the bathroom is located.

Had to change rooms on first day .. room was terrible ..used our suite night then changed to a standard room because the suite also had an odor to to a water boiler issue .. hallway on 7th floor with souled carpets and peeling wallpaper.. the restaurant had a very limited menu due to a low food supply .

The sink had a leak and it smelled like a sewer the entire stay.

The room smelled a little, the walpaper was comming off the walls in the corner the bathroom had mold, and the towels felt like sandpaper (a good sign that they should be retired).

2- Get to room and tub has black stuff that looks like mold in it.

Soap dispensers empty in shower, electrical outlets working intermittently, slow drains, dirty bathtub and more.

Carpet stains, mildew in the shower, cracked flooring, dirty and dusty baseboards and musty smell.

The last night there, there was also a smell of gas, which we reported.

I have never seen a more disgusting pool and gym area. Dirty!

The hotel itself needed some improvement, there was a strong musty odor when we went into our room … it seemed a little run down, I was a little surprised it being a Marriott and supposed to be a 4-star being in the condition it was.

Plus the hallways smelt like sewer on the 11th floor.

Dripping sweat, waiting to check out, I overheard the woman at the front desk tell another guest that they were out of bottled water.

The hallways and our room have a musty smell, maybe from the old carpet?

There was no odor in the room as some stated,

The front door handle was broken and no one seems to care, luggage trolleys were left in the middle of the lobby, hotel smelled damp and lobby were full of drunk and loud people.

This time around the entire place smelled like sewage, I saw many leak stains not repainted (roof of lobby), roach in bathroom, wallpaper stained or torn.

Annalise, Caleb and the whole service team were fantastic.

She was kind, professional and has a great personality.

he was consistently professional and personable.

If you are colored (other than black) watch what the front desk staff treats you.

Kelyn was very attentive and has a pleasant personality!

Front desk staff was excellent and professional.

Also great employees and the location is perfect, quiet and relaxing stay.

Later in the evening, we were pleasantly surprised when we asked about breakfast times Reception staff, told us
6am to 11am for Monday morning!!

First of all, it would have been nice for Booking.com to let us know that the pool was kind of in a construction zone.

Construction debris covered walk-ways which from the parking lot which had to be navigated strategically.

Three drawbacks construction out front, toilet seat too low and tub floor uneven making it difficult to stand.

There was construction right in front of the hotel,

A little difficult to get to with construction

though it was a challenge to get in and out of the property due to street construction right in front, there was no extra noise or mess once I made it in the parking area and in the hotel itself.

Also, they must be remodeling somewhere as the parking spaces on one side of the hotel were taken up with storage pods.

The other recent plus is that the construction on 35E has completed and shifted south so getting in and out is much easier.

Note: Ongoing construction on I-35E makes access to the Corporate Drive exit a bit tricky - either north or south bound.

not the kind of place for construction workers.

Hotel is difficult to get too due to the construction in the area.

The only reason I did not give this hotel the five stars is because during our stay there were construction workers staying at the hotel (or so I was told by the front desk) and when I went out to my car after dark to bring up a bag, three of them were camped out front drinking and smoking being rude and crude.

In spite of the construction on the interstate highway around it, the hotel is still easily accessible.

The atmosphere everywhere was fresh, not musty, or covered by some yucky room spray.

I asked for no deodorants or strong smelling cleaners and my room was aired out way before arrival , greatly appreciated!

but the split system is faulty when you try switching to heat which triggered the alarm which was not good and disturbed the peace and the hotel rug smell really damp and can be better managed.

but had a bit of a musty smell which seemed to be coming from the air conditioning.

However the room had a slight musty damp smell,  reminiscent of the pre-makeover Best Western motels.

Of course, there is no way to get all perfume out.

There was a "cleaning" smell in the hall way

This room may have been converted from a smoking room at one time.

however it did have an unpleasant odor when I first walked in for the first 5-7 minutes then it became unnoticeable,room 109.

Tired of Holiday Inn Express' nasty breakfast I booked here because Best Western has better breakfast.

A little bit of a musty smell when you first go in, other than that is was great.

Only gripe I have is they could have more ashtrays near the benches as many smokers use them and the

The A/C unit is in the room, and is very noisy when it’s running.

Aesthetically cold and barren and little to no sound barriers (it's loud!).

That noise would have irritated him like it was for me.

However,  the concrete rooms are noisy and cold. .

Our initial room was across from elevator and in the middle of a big noisy family reunion.

No noisy Neibor’s in this hotel on my many visits to this hotel.

Noise from pipes when room upstairs was using water.

We travel with a white noise machine and could still hear the dog over it.

If you gotta take a dump then your partner is gonna hear it and smell it. Lol.

Apparently, every room in the hotel has the same issue that these poor customer service people have to hear about it every day at work.

If you like white noise while you sleep it works like a charm.

Try not to get a room with the connecting door to the room nextdoor, you hear everything that's going on.

The loft style rooms are loud and you hear everything.

I’m sure to hear “Norm!” Next time I visit.

but noticed a loud constant buzzing noise.

The only issue is the sleep: the rooms are not 100% sound-proof!
