From the moment I arrived, Hilton DFW Lakes felt like a home away from home - spacious rooms with thoughtful touches, beds so comfortable they invite deep rest, and a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

Room was spotless, bright and comfortable.

There is always friendly staff, delicious and hot banquet food, plentiful options on the buffet for every dietary need, and spacious, comfortable rooms.

The beds were extremely comfortable, as were the pillows.

The beds were comfortable and the showers felt amazing!!

Our room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet - which we appreciated.

Although the exterior of the hotel appeared a bit dated, the rooms were nice and welcoming, large, and classily done, with a very comfortable chair available.

Bed was comfortable and desk was very usable.

The person at front desk was very rude and enjoyed saying no and threaten about putting additional charges on my account.

I asked about the charge and was told that the omelette was the same price as the $13 pancakes.

No power plugs on one side of the bed which makes it hard for me to keep my devices charged.

Staff was not friendly I wanted to charge me for complementary continental breakfast.

At this point and time, if you are not able to provide adequate staffing to care for your guests properly, you probably should not be opened or charging "normal rates".

Most likely will not stay there again because they don't give any points or credit for the stay.

Yes, at many Hilton properties Diamond members do not get charged for breakfast.

The one big negative was the $7 per person charge for the shuttle.

Then was charged $50 more than my receipt showed, so I'm not happy about that either.

I will definitely stay here again when I return to Dallas.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities and friendliness of staff at the Hilton and I had a great time for my 1st time in Dallas.

but we rented a car and everything we did IN Dallas was 20-30 mins away.

A very beautiful property situated minutes from DFW Airport and around 30 minutes from Dallas Love Field Airport, next to the Grapevine Mills Mall and eateries (Chick-Fil-A, Chipotle, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.).

I will stay here again the next time I visit dallas.

There are pretty of other Hilton properties around Dallas area, you can stay if you want to experience true southern hospitality.

It is very convenient to everything in the area and Dallas as well as Fort Worth.

My teenagers and I stayed at the Hilton DFW recently while visiting for a Dallas Cowboys game.

Since Dallas is just a 3-4 hour drive from home, we frequent the area as does my husband who travels there often for work.

A nice stay for a quick conference in Dallas/FTW.

Parking is easy, the location is ideal, and every detail seems designed to make your stay effortless.

The hotel restaurant was yummy and priced average for the location.

Also good location next to the mall, so you can walk right over and have access to lots of shops, restaurants and activities.

We would have preferred to enjoy the outdoor pool, as the location is great, right by a small pond with a fountain and in a secluded area of the hotel grounds.

I told my co-worker about this hotel and when he flew in, he stayed here and agreed the location and proximity to Grapevine Mills is unbeatable.

DFW Lakes is located in Grapevine which is very close to DFW airport.

This Location has two Resturants on site and a Coffee Shop, as well as an gift shop.

Several choices of restaurants and bars on site as well as walking distance to the Grapevine mall with plenty of dining choices.

It’s near a mall and many places to eat so that was easy.

The “Bonnie and Clyde” restaurant offers huge and delicious salads.

From the front desk to the guys helping you with luggage, directions or whatever you literally need, to the bar and restaurant and the breakfast it was all fantastic!

The breakfast had a lot of choices and the food at restaurant was good too.

In the Grapevine Restaurant I had the pleasure of meeting Dorothy who was warm and caring about meeting our dining needs.

We were directly across from the Grapevine Mills Mall, tons of eateries and restaurants nearby and not even 5 minutes from the DFW airport.

They did serve a group dinner and the food was pretty decent.

This was the first place I have stayed in since COVID that actually cleaned the rooms daily where I didn't have to ask and the rooms were really clean.

The property was landscaped very nicely, the rooms were clean and spacious.

The room was clean and housekeeping did an excellent job of providing enough towels for us all to shower and also enjoy the pool.

Checkin was okay, the room was clean, enough plugins for the tech.

The staff radiates warmth and professionalism, always ready with a smile or solution.

Front desk staff was very helpful and easy to talk to.

They serve a nice buffet breakfast and staff is friendly.

Additionally, the staff was fantastic—friendly, professional, and eager to assist in any way they could.

The breakfast is also appreciable with welcoming people too.

So nice, attentive, and just great at their jobs.

But most of all the staff was kind and extremely helpful.

We love coming here to celebrate him because it has an indoor pool, walking trails, volleyball net, basketball courts, tennis courts, great restaurants, and a delicious breakfast.

The property is amazing - bring your tennis gear, a volleyball and basketball and take advantage of playing all day.

Excellent amenities with large work out center, indoor & outside pool & tennis courts.

We loved the tennis courts, basketball court, and just the walk to the pool.

Outdoor/Indoor pools and tennis courts are a nice bonus.

Two pools - one indoor, one outdoor (both offering a spa) make it favorable for any type of weather and the tennis courts, basketball court, volleyball court and fitness center are a plus!

Wonderful staff, indoor and outdoor pool, tennis and jogging trail.

You will be surprised by how many amenities are family oriented such as the outdoor pool and Jogging area, five tennis courts, kids playground, the gym is a mini health club.

but the shower leaked water and needs to be replaced in room 644.

Large amount of water leaked out during shower even the shower door was fully closed.

The shower stall floor is slippery, you have to reach in and either be frozen with the cold water or soaked when you turn the shower on.

If you were fortunate to get hot water, the shower heads were awful.

The room was very loud we could hear our neighbors who came in late who were loud to 2am after they quieted down we could still hear every cough and the water running.

Tiny and the shower just poured water onto the bathroom floor due to way the shower transition was angled.

No way to get water outside of those hours 2 bottles at check in and that's it.

but never to our table for me to ask where my water was.

Worst designed shower we've ever had in any hotel, where you have to get in and get wet with cold water to regulate.

We must have gone through 6 towels per day to try to keep the water from filling the bathroom floor.

Location was good had shuttles to and from airport

Among the affordable lodging options in close proximity to DFW, this particular hotel stood out due to its notable affordability and complimentary airport shuttle service, making it an attractive choice.

The place was clean, reasonably price, and close to the airport.

In the morning it was a direct drive to the airport and took literally FOUR minutes!

Once that reservation was made, I contacted the local hotel to arrange for a shuttle pick up from the airport.

This location was close-by the airport, had very nice accommodations at a reasonable price and an airport shuttle.

The shuttle came to  pick me up at the airport on the evening and it was on time to take me back to the airport the next day.

They provide breakfast and shuttle service to DFW airport.

And thanks for the future shuttle ride to the airport in the morning

The Super 8 Grapevine is outstanding from the service to the cleanliness to the free shuttle to and from the hotel and the airport.

The shuttle service to the airport was on time with friendly drivers.

The front desk General Manager Kathleen York was super friendly & Mara drove the shuttle and was wonderful - picked us up at DFW airport within 10 min of arriving.

Sabin picked us up at the airport & was totally awesome!

I was extremely pleased at how the shuttle service provided transportation to/from the airport, Gaylord & local restaurants and points of interest.

Furniture in the room was worn and tattered and not inviting.

The wall was patched near the door and you can see that it has not even been painted.

but there was black on the ceiling in the bathroom and graffiti on the bathroom door.

The hotel is extremely outdated, the hallways were very humid because the leaves the hallways windows open.

The hotel room I was in seemed somewhat dated,

Bad mattress on 1 bed, paint was patched too many times, bathroom was worn and out of date

They were thin and worn and provided little warmth.

but the comforter was thin and a bit dated.

Some of the fixtures seemed a bit dated and in need of updating/repair.

The hotel is dated and dingy, The "hot breakfast" is a waffle iron and a toaster -  So do not expect bacon & eggs.

You do need to keep the air conditioner running to keep the place from smelling a little funky.

The mattress in our room was worn out & in need of being replaced ( uncomfortable).

The bed was a bit harder then I like and the decor is a little dated,

The shuttle at 5:00am was prompt and the driver was friendly, too.

A primary reason for the 5 rating is the quality of the service provided by the shuttle drivers and the people at the front desk.

The shuttle  drivers are extremely  friendly and fun to chat with.

Overall the room was clean and nice size beds

The rooms were very clean to include the bathroom.

however my room was very clean, quiet, and cool.

but it was almost midnight with a small child and your rooms were filthy.

I did smell a bit of faint cigarette smoke near the bathroom entrance which I assume must be coming from a smoking room upstairs via some type of ventilation shaft.

My friend was also sure that pot had been smoked in her room from the smell in it.

Not sure if some rooms are smoking and some non-smoking.

The room is a non smoking room, I've used this room several times, this time it smelled terrible, like an Ash tray.

The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.

Also the Rooms have a MUSTY DAMP SMELL That Even LYSOL COULDN'T MASK!

Since the hotel allows some smoking rooms, our second floor hall reeked of smoke.

The only reason a 4 rating, was due to the smokey smell in the room,

Went to our room in a non smoking area, when the elevator doors opened the smoke almost closed my throat!!

Firm mattress, hard pillows, non-smoking room smelled of smoke.

It's just that the hallways smell a little bit funny I'm thinking is because they have rooms that allow smoking.

though we were in a non-smoking room the smell of smoke still lingered in the halls- not in the room though.

room smelled musty and when the air conditioner was turned on it was worse.

And come to think of it, the amount of air freshener scent in the room when we walked in probably alludes to trying to cover up a mold odor problem.

Hallway to room had an odor and the room seemed like it had a smoke smell to it.

The only problem I can think of was that our non-smoking room was close to the smoking rooms.

Convenient location and the FREE shuttle were a plus for my trip.

Shuttle worked well and had me at DFW in plenty of time.

I visited the Super 8 Grapevine and experienced great hospitality from Emily and Mara at the front desk and I’m providing me a shuttle to DFW.

Very easy to park here & utilize their shuttle service for an international trip.

Had a great shuttle service by Sabin and mike at the front desk was a big help ( atleast think his name was mike) thanks for everything!

Additionally, the shuttle service provided by Mara was top notch.

We took the shuttle service from Super 8 Grapevine/DFW Airport and it was excellent!

The shuttle service was the best it made going to historic downtown easy.

Solid 3 star property - got the 4th star due to the convenient shuttle service to/from DFW and anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the property!

We were especially impressed with the shuttle service because it operates on the hour for departures and upon call for arrivals at the airport.

The staff were very friendly, we used the shuttle service to pick up and return our rental car so awesome to have!

The hallway of the 2nd floor smelled of marijuana.

Kids got no swimming time, no one showered because the bathroom was disgusting.

Disgusting and I was scare to sit on the toilet.

A very uncomfortable stay in so many ways, the smell, bed and bedding was intolerable and we didn't get much sleep.

but when I got home I had the worst allergy attack I'd had all year because I'm allergic to secondhand smoke.
