Great historic hotel, wonderful location and charm in downtown Grand Rapids, on the river and a short walk to the Ford presidential museum.

The historic hotel portion was beautiful, we loved it.

The remainder of the stay at this historic property was quite pleasant with an excellent, full-featured gym and superlative dining options.

My favorite part is the historic features of the hotel.

The old building is classy, and the new tower has great views, so you can’t go wrong either way.

The location could not be beat, and I love the combination of historic and modern architecture.

The hotel was historic and nostalgic and in many ways a trip to yesteryear.

My wife and I are doing a tour of historic hotels through Michigan and this was our first stop.

Beautiful historic location that is perfectly maintained.

Conferences are held in the "classic architecture" areas of the hotel.

It really is nearly magical to stay ins such a beautiful and historic hotel.

The Grand Plaza has a classic charm and while it is not the high-tech Luxury Resorts that some places are, the staff goes out of his way to help you appreciate the property.

As all of your affairs are handled to your liking, you will be free to walk through the immaculate chandelier-lit rooms which couple historic feel with modern amenities.

The Amway Plaza Hilton has the same historic feel yet a cool, hip vibe too.

This is my first trip to Grand Rapids, and It is such a historic beautiful city.

Amway offers 2 types of accommodations--in their Historic Pantland hotel & the newer glass tower.

Our favorite place to stay in GR- prime location, connected to the Devos center, so convenient for events and inclement weather.

It’s in a very great location to walk to local bars and pubs.

Ultimately, this was a great location to walk the downtown area and visit nearby breweries and presidential library.

The hotel is located near the Ford Presidential Museum, which was very convenient.

After having staying at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel we were not completely satisfied with the location of our room on the 5th floor of the tower that faced a wall.

The location in downtown Grand Rapids was right next to the Riverfront.

Modern amenities and comfort in a beautifully maintained building.

One that is very modern and currently under construction.

The room was clean, smelled nice (no old smoke) and the amenities/decor were modern.

The hotel had modern facilities, yet retained the charm of the original building.

A remarkable place to stay, with wonderful original building and great modern amenities.

The glass tower rooms are smaller & offers a more contemporary experience whereas the Pantland rooms are generally more spacious with the historic feel.

We stayed in the tower contemporary addition, with a view of the Grand river, fridge, in room coffee, oversized bath sheets, and internet cables thoughtfully provided.

VERY modern with all the comforts of home.

My room had all the modern amenities with a design focus on the old-fashioned accents.

Beautiful historical hotel with all of the modern amenities in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, MI.

Stayed in the tower where rooms are modern, good sized and clean.

The historic Pantolind Hotel entrance off Monroe provides the impression of the grand era of the hotel while the modern entrance on Pearl with the off-street valet and bell service provides the efficiency appreciated by travelers.

If you want modern decorating the tower is for you.

The hotel continues to be a great combination of historic elegance and modern luxury.

That’s false advertising as I just booked the room for $287 (without taxes).

However for the price of the room I'd rather have not been stuck by a noisy squeaky elevator.

At reception, our parking tickets were taken and we were charged $35 per car by the hotel instead of $32 that we would have paid in the parking lot.

They want you to use the expensive stores and restaurants attached to the building, so there are almost no amenities available to guests for free.

As for a hotel in regards to the price they charge I would say it is similar to a super 8 hotel.

but if you get a glimpse of behind the scenes it’s downright disappointing as the guest areas are as far as the standards one would expect from such a pricey hotel to be.

Complete rip off and no apology when I called to inquire and say how much of a scam it is.

I think they should invest more money into the TV to ensure reception--especially for us traveling alone to the conference and that is our only entertainment,  I should have to tap into my own streaming services in the hotel room that I paid $400 for the night.

Doesn’t matter you are staying at the hotel or not, same rate.

The fees were not adjusted and we were told that there or fees added to the bill for services.

If you want to shell out the money for a luxury suite and feel like you’re getting what you paid for, I suggest booking one at the JW Mariott next door.

When I’m paying a premium for a hotel, I don’t anticipate needing to beg to have housekeeping come in.

Since reopening room rates have increased and services
have declined significantly.

I’m extremely disappointed in our stay and feel that the price I paid was not worth what I received.

Beautiful lobby, restaurants and guest rooms.

The hotel is very close to several walking distance restaurants and bars if you do not want to remain on-site during your entire visit.

The highlight was Wolfgang Puck and Ruth's Chris restaurants and the view of the water was beautiful.

First of all we tried to eat at the Cygnus restaurant at the top of the tower and they turned us away because we were't fancy enough for them.

It was walking distance to everything, art museum, river walk, food, drinks!

That said, it isn't the most functional property--I'd recommend it for one night or a restaurant visit,

4 great bars 4 great restaurants like Ruth’s Chris , Wolfgang Puck and MDRD on the  top floor.

does the spa sell clothing, do they offer laundering service, can you help us with a reservation at the hotel restaurant).

Enjoyed a drink at the lobby bar and delicious dinner at Wolfgang Puck.

When my husband and I stayed at the AGPH recently, we thoroughly enjoyed our beautiful room and view, the jazz trio in the Rendezvous, and a delicious dessert and attentive service from the bartender in MDRD!

A couple lovely bars, a Starbucks, and some nice restaurants on the main level and walking distance to everything, including the Children's Museum across the river.

This facility is amazing, Our burger at the kitchen were excellent!

Food and beverages at our meeting were GREAT - especially liked the fresh donuts on a pegboard.

We had  avery nice meal at the  on site Wolfgang Puck Restaurant and a reasonably priced breakfast at another of his eateries.

The young lady (Lilly) at the check-in was fantastic, she situated me in a room that had a great view over the Grand River.

Enough rooms to accommodate our group, meeting areas are beautiful, Starbucks on premises.

Room was a corner room and had a nice view of air handlers and chillers from every window.

When you go stay in a hotel the one thing most people like is coming to a cleaned room and bathroom every night and not having to ask for it.

The lobby and rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

We were doing a night away for our anniversary and they upgraded our room.

but it is just a clean room and nothing special.

The view was amazing and the room was very nice.

You have to upgrade your room if you want to use the pool.

I was given a very large 2 Queen 11th floor room with a hint of a river view.

Arrived earlier than the property's standard 4pm check-in; the process was smooth and a room was ready for me.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating in every way.

When going through in the mornings many folks where still in the area sleeping.

When these were mentioned at checkout, the clerk was indifferent at best.

Otherwise everything was good with the hotel staff being very polite.

Staff was extremely accommodating when I alerted them to what happened.

but that was the fault of the coach and not the hotel staff.

Every contact that I had with a member of the staff was more than pleasant.

Every single staff member was friendly and made us feel like royalty.

All this to say, because I feel Cameron's sincere attention truly affected my evening in such a positive way, I just have to let you know!

When we arrive, staff was very welcoming and explained the layout of the hotel.

I expected this to be a more - I guess - gracious stay.

They were genuinely receptive to the feedback, extremely apologetic, and handled the situation as best as could be expected.

We felt like an inconvenience to the main reception area during check-in and when we called to ask about dining services.

Staff were very personable and accommodating.

After discussing with the front desk and the engineering team the best solution was for us to close the curtains on all windows - which is a bummer since we upgraded for a river view.

Skyway that connects many other hotels and the Van Andel Arena.

Great location in downtown grand rapids, close to the devos and van andel arena area

but yet it is very relaxing, the valet parking is amazingly efficient, and the skywalk to the Van Andel arena, so no worries about the weather.

We had a concert at the Van Andel Arena,  and they have a Skywalk that goes all the way to the arena, that was worth it alone.

We stayed here for a night to watch the PBR Bullriding At the Van Andel Arena which is connected to this hotel by a walkway tunnel.

There is an enclosed walkway all the way to the Van Andel arena where the concert was.

The restaurants are very good as are the bars and an enclosed walkway can comfortably get you to the Devos Place and Van Andel arena.

We stayed here for a show at Van Andel Arena.

The covered walkways that join local buildings, including the Amway Grand, make walking to Van Andel arena very convenient.

The Van Andel arena, for hockey and concerns, is also on the Skywalk system.

Walking distance to Grand Rapids bars, restaurants, and nightlife, as well as the Van Andel Arena.

My wife and I spent the night here, while attending a concert at Van Andel Arena.

You are within easy walking distance of the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum, the Van Andel Arena, Z's Pub, Rosa Parks Park, GRAM, The River and river walk, people bridges, and much more.

Attended the Garth Brooks concert at Van Andel Arena on 5/14/16.

Combine this great hotel with the surrounding Grand Rapids downtown area and you have perhaps the best choice for your stay - especially for Art Prize, the museums, Van Andel arena.

This hotel is indeed grand inside, with fabulous views and lavish interiors.

On a lovely day in Grand Rapids, I couldn’t have had a more perfect room for a great view of the city.

Excellent views of river and city from high level floors.

Only positive I can think of was the view.

On previous stays we had rooms with a view of the Grand River and the  bridge that is lit up at night.

The rooms were spectacular and I was fortunate to stay in the tower building with a panoramic view of the Grand River.

The new windows in the tower rooms made the view magnificent,

It did have an exceptional view and the bed was very comfortable.

The included breakfast was very good, with a decent variety of hot and cold foods.

Simple breakfast and not very qualitative, when there is more and well we do not put it back and if we can stop making everything work before the end time and well why deprive ourselves of it.

We stayed at the country inn to be close to Meijer gardens.

The Frederick Meijer gardens and sculpture park is a half mile away, countless restaurants and fast food of all varieties and class levels and not too far from downtown or Craig's Cruisers.

If you are wanting a hotel close to the Gardens, this it.

This is close to eateries, one within easy walking distance, and is very close to the awesome Meijer Garden and Sculpture Park.

The hotel is super close to the Meijer Garden.

We took one afternoon to walk the gardens and the next day went back for a show.

One other benefit of the inn is that it is in walking distance of Meijer Gardens,
