The wine was so delightful that we sent a bottle to the young fisherman in Shinkamigoto who kindly took us to see Christians’ Cave—the culmination of our tour of Goto’s Christian churches—on his boat and was determined not to take any form of compensation from us.

The Japanese Restaurant (Bara - a posh Izakaya) is great with super cheerful staff.
