My husband and I adore the comforts and contemporary luxury of the rooms, together with the 5* gourmet variety of the meals buffet.

The food was AMAZING, plentiful and varied, catering for those with food allergies too.

from the cycling tours and their guides, to the delicious food, and especially the attentive care of the staff.

Post-ride lunch buffet by the pool and evening dinners are sublime.

From the  rooms ( chic Italian decor, super comfy bed , spotless ), the outstanding food, (the Chef is absolutely  the best, I  continue listening  fellow guests just ravishing about the food quality, how delicious, fresh  and so many healthy options, not to mention Marina's paella, something that you need to experience ), the fresh flowers everywhere, the social events are the best, you will never see that amount of people being so happy and having the best time in one single place.

The food is beautifully presented, healthy, and delicious; just what you need to power up your cycling efforts.

From the breakfast buffets to the dinners that start with tapas by the pool and wine with the meal.

The hotel is well maintained, everything is clearly spotless, the food quality is amazing, starting with full breakfast, continue with lunch after long riding and climbing (we biked an average of 55 miles and 3,200 feet per day,

The food all week and special events are off the charts delicious and fun.

though most meals are buffet style, rest assured that you will be amazed at the variety and quality.

The food back at the hotel was a culinary delight with the kitchen team putting out so many lovely salads, pastas, main courses and desserts every lunch and dinner as well as delicious breakfasts to fuel us up for our rides.

Energy drink, bananas and sandwiches for your ride  provided every morning after a hearty buffet breakfast.

Food is over the top delicious and plentiful.

A small suggestion would be to have another bike mechanic on hand to help out during the bike pick up and drop off as the process seemed to take longer than it needed to with the poor guy working all alone.

though some of the road surfaces are poor this is not a major factor.

However, those in the lower levels are subject to traffic and poor pavement close to Riccione.

I have absolutely nothing poor to say about the experience.

though it takes 5-10 km to really get out of town on each ride, and some of the roads are busy and in poor condition.

I believe that one should always take responsibility for oneself or suffer the consequences for poor choices.

Room very small, no storage space,  breakfast buffet ~ cold scrambled eggs daily, bikers lunch ~ insufficient amount of food, poor quality wines served at dinner, table service poor ~ no silverware ~ short supply of coffee ~ cream.

Lots of hills, poor roads in town and busy, few bike paths, and NO sag wagon.

After staying at so many small rooms all over Europe we found a gem on the beach with a bigger room and bath.

The only very minor point to consider are the rooms are quite small, with limited storage,

I can confirm that everything claimed on their website is true.

Although we'd been hoping for longer rides having seen the range of daily tours on the website and were slightly disappointed to find only 2 available most of the week in the heat (30-35+°C throughout) we would have struggled with significantly longer rides.

She found the Hotel Belvedere and I noted the high ratings on the social media websites.

Everything that you read and see on their website is true.

For us it is back to work and school and checking out the Belvedere website when we need a look at our favourite and only summer destination.

it suffices to say that everything they claim on their website is true.

Our trip to the Belvedere Hotel in Rimini, Italy was all the website said it would be and more!

We can say that we have finally found a hotel in Italy which perfectly corresponds to the presentation and description on the website.

The three buffets per day were well presented and the food was varied and tasty.

Dinners were at buffet and we had mixed feelings; some dinners were really good and we were all satisfied, some others much less.

The rooms were lovely,  food delicious and the the activities and cycling treks were stunning.

The room had everything we could ask for and breakfast was abundant and well catered for, with cheerful and attentive service throughout the stay.

The food was brilliant and is buffet style.

Wonderful staff, food was inc, in our package and was plentiful and everything tasted really nice, hoping we're going again next year, 
my one negative point, i was in a twin room and the 2 beds we're tiny so beware of this, great location beautiful area close to Rimini and for those cycling the hills are just a short warm up away.

The food was delicious and fresh fruit was put out for the guests to help themselves.

The restaurant was great serving an amazing choice for breakfast and dinner.

We also lost the internet after 1 week and never got it back (I think they are still calling the engineer :-) ).

When I needed to call the reception, it never answered.

While the Dory is far from rustic, we call our wonderful week there last fall "bike camp" because we felt as

Things didn't start out well when we had a phone call the day before saying that we would have a 3.5 hour wait at the airport before we could be picked up - not happy we phoned them back  and they arranged for some-one to come and pick us up at the correct time - things were looking better!

When we arrived it was raining and they gave us the key of the apartment, an incomprehensible map and poor instructions on where the exact door of the garage was.

We had dinner in the restaurant which is a kind of buffet affair, you needed to pick your moment to get a good main course and, if you arrived late, lots of the courses did not get replaced / refreshed, one particular night which apparently was the last night of the Italian holidays was hell on earth, the dining room appeared to be some kind of warzone with guests fighting over food every time the poor waiters bought more from the kitchen.

The one concern, and the only reason for four rather than five stars, is the very poor quality of the roads in the area.

There is an area for children, a bit too small and poor.

We stayed as we were going to the Moto GP, we hired bikes from the hotel to get to the circuit, they were waiting outside early, after breakfast.

The breakfast was great with a large variety of products (sweets, coocked meals, fruits and so on).

But not only that - they have a great breakfast with everything you need in the morning.

Stayed at Augustus Hotel and my experience couldnt be any better:

- excellent breakfest;
- excellent room;
- very close to the beach;
- staff is really nice and professional;

I do recommend Hotel Augustus for a great time in Riccione.

The only downside is that when the hotel was built the lifts installed were so narrow that a wheelchair will not pass through the doors so my dear cousin who is in a wheelchair has to listen enviously to our praise for the hotel without being able to stay at the Augustus himself.

Sadly, this hotel couldn't accommodate my disabled cousin due to the narrowness of the lift doors ruling out wheelchair use

Only thing to be improved is the sound of elevator or water pump of the swimming pool that could be clearly heard in the room (5th floor) late in the evening and early in the morning.

It was a little noisy because our room was right in front of the elevators

Our room was small for four people, small bunk for teenage kids, with no extra space save a tiny balcony with two chairs,

Accommodation together with half-board is highly recommended since both breakfast and evening meal are exquisite: a rich wide variety of genuine products of best quality, cooked to perfection and for all tastes.

The morning breakfast was great and all you need to start your day.

There was a good selection of breakfast items, again the service was excellent.

Absolutely this was the best part of the breakfast!

Food is also very good with the plus of having everything available in a buffet format.

Breakfasts were good, with freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee and fresh pastries and fruit.

The reception staff even let us have breakfast earlier than normal as we were catching an early flight.

The buffet breakfast had lots of choice and really good coffee and our room was well equipped and the whole place was spotless.

Breakfast was in with the price and that had everything all very nice, especially the coffees and the service was great.

We had a standard room which was ample for us.

On our last morning we had a  really early check out and the night manager ensured breakfast would be available to us.

A large buffet with variety of options to choose from, always fresh and delicious.

You get a buffet of starters/sides and 3 courses.

We were told that since we booked through Expedia, we would not be able to access the same discounted SPA packages as their regular guests.

There is only a small selection of wines you get with your half board package and it was not to my taste

although the cost of the sunbeds was not included in our package and if you go for a week the cost could add up.

All inclusive also included towels, beach chairs & umbrellas at the beach club across the street (if that's not in your package, it's about 10 Euro/person daily for a chair & umbrella).

On my very first day in Riccione, my phone died and with it all of my travel itinerary docs for the remainder of my time in Italy and Spain, including my flight back to Canada.

I was simply stuck in this dark prison cell!

when I was leaving the hotel I asked them if they could phone me a taxi and they gave me a lift to the airport in their free hotel minibus.

The breakfast is good with salty and sweet selections, fruits (watermelon, melon and pineapple) and salad.

Other than breakfast (which was plentiful and really good quality) we didn't eat at the hotel, so cant comment on the food in terms of lunch/evening meal.

Bkfast decent, not much to choose from when it comes to us europeans, as Bacon, eggs and sausages are not really their forte,

you can ask for  eggs cooked in a different way ie.

The buffet style breakfast and "primas" gave a wide variety of choice and the following three courses (optional) had an equally giving variety.

I had my breakfast on the external terrace and it was very nice.

We had bed and breakfast option and found many nice restaurants nearby.

Breakfast was the standard fare of cold meats and LOTS of pastries, and the lower pool was a nice place to be for a late night drink before bed.

This is a typical Italian hotel.The breakfast was amazing if you are not used to the typical Italian breakfast,cakes, a lot of them.But they also had what you usually find.

Nice and quiet, no problem sleeping. Breakfast.

Breakfast buffet was awsome - endless hot and cold everything , ( even delicious rich chocolate puddings on offer ) freshly made to order coffee and nice staff.

It was fine for a one night stay- if somewhat expensive for what we got-

Returned home to have a $110.00 charged to my credit card after we paid in full.

Prices varied 7 Euros on Friday and 9 Euros on Sunday - not sure whether this is the same charged to other guests as there didn't seem to be any consistency with this .

We flew to Bologna and caught the airpot bus to the station (8 euros) and then first class carriage train to Cattolica and a short taxi ride from the station (15 euros - all Italian taxis are expensive).

but nobody asked for payment so I can't comment on the cost for sunbeds!

We didn't drink in hotel as was expensive.

If I had to rate it ONLY on the property itself, I would probably have given it three dots,

We paid an extra €5 a night on arrival for a sea view.

but on the beach if you want to lay down on a sunbed, you should pay a horrible price (7 EUR/sunbed/day) .

Drinks by the pool are not very expensive and Giuseppe e batman tries to be as helpful as possible and is very quick in processing orders.

but to use my network 4g which proved to be very expensive.

We didn't expect anything of this hotel because of the low price,

but hotel staff provided accurate & detailed instructions on how to catch the local bus to reach our train out in the same length of time & at a fraction of the price - much appreciated by these 2 backpackers.

but we have been very disappointed by this one : very expensive(917 euros for 5 nights) for a limit 3 stars hotel!!

but house keeping did there best to find us 2 softer ones..this did affect our sleep badly throughout the stay and waking up with a headache every morning and being really tired throughout the day it can have a big effect on you even though it's just a small thing.

but we never intended to spend much time in the room other than shower and sleep.

The sound proof of the rooms is not that good and sleeping long hours in the morning a bit difficult.

Too small room (we booked quadruple room: two adults and two kids 3 and 5 sleeping on beds above each other) opposite to another hotel, no view, tiny balcony just to accomodate two seats.

Only negative point for us was that the live entertainment went on until midnight and therefore our little ones found it a bit hard to get off to sleep.

Very small room for a family of 4 with view over the parking, the floor hadn’t been cleaned and was very dirty.

With that in mind unfortunately we had 4 of us staying in a small room.

though the room we had was a little small (lacking the space required to open your suitcases) it served its purpose.

however the air con was old, and didn't work well at all.

although no air conditioning which made it very hot ( even with balcony door open) at night, told different things when asked dork reception ( it’s standard not to turn the air conditioning on until June second time we asked Was told it was not working !)

Neither was the case when I and four business colleagues found ourselves ALL with freezing rooms during our stay.

Air conditioning in the room didn't work.

We didn’t get off to the best start being shown to a room which was tiny, dominated by the double bed and with a ‘bathroom’ which can only be described as a tribute to the plumbers who managed to fit sink, toilet, bidet and shower unit into such a small space.

You could ask for your eggs cooked any way.

They even provided us with breakfast at 5 in the morning before we left.

Mealtimes were a delight with so much choice of fresh delicious food all served with a smile by the delightful staff.

but we did indulge in a Spritz or two from the bar along with some other cocktails which were all delicious.

There was a facility to have special cooked breakfast which was extra,

The quality and taste of all the dishes was amazing and fresh, from the numerous antipasti,  primi, secondi and a lot of very delicious dolce.

Stay was made memorable by super friendly staff at the Reception Desk all the way to the staff in the Restaurant for breakfast and dinner with healthy and delicious food every day!!!

The house wine was absolutely OK and very reasonable. Breakfast had everything you could possibly want and on our last night there was an amazing buffet on the terrace with two singers (good ones!)

All incredibly Italian and all very delicious.

Breakfast and supper is perfect for hungry tummies.

the best idea is maybe to help yourself with gloves at the breakfast buffet.

The breakfast is very good, generous and varied.

Breakfast is lovely and then room in which it's served has a beautiful view of the sea.

Breakfast room is bright and sunny which has a beautiful view of the sea.

Still, these flaws were balanced by the excellent staff in the daytime reception and during breakfast.

but the buffet had such a great variety I had lots of options.

The only downside was when, due to lack of availability for our last 4 nights we had to relocate to another so called 4 star hotel further down the road, called Grand Hotel Michelacci which was a totally different experience !!!!

I'll start with the minor negatives which account for the 4 star review rather than 5.

So, my own summary is that this IS a 4 star hotel based on its location, service and food.

The second disappointing aspect was the air conditioning in the rooms which was extremely substandard.

The only awkward experience I had was paying for the beach.
