Each morning at breakfast a news sheet listed optional activities and walks etc.

The extensive activity programme this year included yoga, pilates as well as guided walks and wine tasting which meant that even on the occasional wet day there was plenty to do.

Everything you could ask for this hotel has, from a pillow menu, extra curricular activities to the superb food, and not forgetting the very helpful and friendly staff.

The facilities at the hotel are fantastic; from a games room, to a gym, pool and sauna/steam rooms.

And Hannes the wine sommelier is at the top of his game and he know so much about the wine they have on offer.

There is a very good gymn and daily activity classes as well as an indoor/outdoor pool.

There's a wide range of activities arranged by the hotel (guided walks, talks, spa treatments etc.

Activities:
The Boglerhof provides a wide-range of activities such as cooking classes, snowshoeing, wine tasting, and guided hikes.

Facilities are top notch with a well equipped gym, numerous types of sauna and an activity programme which includes guided walks and wine tasting amongst others.

The hotel offers its guests several guided walks a week as wall as some fitness activities.

On the positive note, we were given a tasty free starter consisting of various bread rolls with spreads, and afterwards a small desert of ferrero-rocher type white and milk chocolate balls covered in coconut shavings.

Nice, family friendly hotel with restaurant, indoor/outdoor pool, gym, sauna, small playground, game room and reading room.

The Boglerhof always manages to lift the experience by providing great service and comprehensive meals and activities.

Many activities are organised to add a bit of glamour to what is usually just a ski holiday.

The bar just inside from the pool was also a quiet area and had a few board games.

Nikki, the bar manager, looked after us really well.

We returned a couple of days later for supper in the bar.

Loved sitting in the bar in the evening by the fire.

Large wall flat screen TV, concealed lighting, double wardrobes with lots of space, a safe, a small mini bar fridge.

The bar area is also really nice to sit in and we had a club sandwich here on our last day which was really tasty and high quality, cocktails we had at the bar were also very well made.

We especially loved the plentiful salad bar and the late dinner/ afternoon tea which was most welcome after a very long mornings walk.

A small lunch is served in the bar from 2:30 till 4.00 each day 
Dinner a 5 course Michelin star dinner with some of the best food I have eaten.

We enjoyed the cozy Bibliothek and the bar (wonderfull Mary Pickford cocktail!).

There is a large bar and lounge area that is open from 10 am - midnight.

They also provide a plethora of children's programs like face painting, arts and crafts etc..

For me it was nice to relax at the bar with a drink and book near the fireplace before dinner.

The bar is warm and cosy with a good selection of drinks.

There is a diverse choice of main courses at dinner which you can supplement with fully stocked salad bar.

The price of drinks are very reasonable and the bar staff are very friendly and attentive.

The quality of the ingredients were excellent and we particularly loved the salad bar each day.

A beautiful bar, great spa (indoor to outdoor pool) and sauna - luxury!

We paid the half-board rate to get breakfast and dinner included.

We were on the gourmet rate which includes delicious breakfast with lots of choice and eggs cooked to order.

The breakfast buffet is huge, with everything you could possibly want, and there is a breakfast chef on hand to cook your eggs as you want them, or, in my case, delicious pancakes.

All of the facilities are first class, especially the swimming pool, and the breakfast is unbelievably good.

A full cooked breakfast if you wanted it, with endless amounts of fruit and cereals etc.

The great  breakfast buffet was the only thing I can say about the place .

but the room was still ok.
now the food a wonderful breakfast has a very good and a nice variety of food hot and cold.

Breakfast outside in the sunshine is perfect and the lovely waiters and waitresses are so helpful and friendly.

The food was delicious and each night there were options available for vegetarians, was well as gluten free alternatives.

Breakfast was top notch with everything as expected.

Breakfast offers a delicious choice of great variety.

The meals we enjoyed, especially breakfast (I rarely saw a buffet with more choices) and dinner were delicious.

The breakfast was superb with both cooked and continental available.

The food is delicious and plentiful and the variety caters for every type of diner.

- Very comfortable rooms, an amazing heated swiming pool and the breakfast spread was amazing - masses of choice from yoghurts and fruit to a complete cooked breakfast.

This hotel has one of the best kitchens in Austria breakfast was a treat there is a guy cooking eggs to order and all the things you like at an Austrian breakfast.

The food is fine dining every night and the selection at breakfast is the best we have ever seen.

Very nice new furnishings in the dinning rooms and little touches around the hotel.

They were all dressed traditionally which fit well with the atmosphere of the hotel.

Afternoon lunch from 2-4 buffet style then a 5 or 6 dinner with choices from 3 menus in the evening the quality of which is gourmet.

Each course is presented with love and care and style providing a feast for the eyes and the palate.

The restaurant is traditionally decorated in an elegant alpine style.

So second visit not so good which was a shame, as the hotel itself is really picturesque and oozes tyrolean charm.

First the new rooms Hoslioch when you open the door the smell of fresh pine hits you and it’s wonderful a light and airy room with a very nice bathroom walk in shower and they are pet free rooms .

The atmosphere is always warm and lively and we consider this hotel and Alpbach a true old fashioned gem, keep it that way please!

Since our first visit 2 years ago the rooms and some of the public areas have been refurbished to a very high standard.

Clean room with balcony and lots of local charm.

The owner is apparently a stickler for details and it shows in all places such as dining rooms, rooms, meals, the quality of decor and furnishings which are of impeccable taste.

The hotel is pristine with beautiful flowers on the balconies, a wonderful indoor/ outdoor pool, well tended gardens and areas to sit and relax and even a table tennis table which we really enjoyed.

This is one of the most wonderful hotels I  have stayed in .It has an old wold charm the hotel is run with love and care all of the team smile and work as one nothing is to much trouble.

The hotel is capturing perfectly the 'tirolian' atmosphere, from beautiful Alpbach village.

All facilities are top notch, the rooms well designed and spotlessly clean (impressive even against the usual high Austrian standards….).

The library also has a charming fireplace that add to its ambience.

The hotel is beautifully built and decorated in Tyrolean style and the staff are truly a credit to the management team; they remain polite, professional and nothing seems to be too much trouble in the event of having to utilise their assistance.

The boglerhof is a beautiful hotel in Tirolean style.

The rooms are well furnished and clean with fridge, kettle and complimentary soft drinks.

I went up five minutes later due to the delay and had to wait another five minutes while the barman served everyone else around the bar, including people who arrived after my daughters, before he came to re-take my order for a glass of water.

However be aware that the village does suffer from unpredicatable snow conditions due to its low altitude.

We did not feel comfortable using the saunas due to the' no textiles' rule which was a shame.

I was a little concerned about the hotel before my stay, because I had read a lot of reviews which were negative due to children of guests running wild.

Returned to the Boeglerhof after a gap of three years due to family circumstances.

As normal the food on the three 5 course menus is just outstanding the team in the kitchen 
Are quite simply the best under the guidance of Hansi  Treichl 
.And with an  excellent wine list you can not go wrong each night it’s an evening to remember

This is one of the best hotels in Alpbach with new things on the horizon it will be the top hotel in Alpbach for years to come.

We are vegetarian and I was pleased to see a full five-course vegetarian dinner each day.

Food even better than we remembered and a good vegetarian selection to be had.

The food remains excellent - with updated menus.

I sampled the wonderfully varied tasting menu on my most recent visit and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

We visited the Boglerhof for lunch earlier this week and had a lovely time.

The food is incredible, the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble.

The Boglerhof is the perfect place for the kids, with a kids club and entertainment included - they can even eat with the other kids in kids club, leaving you free to enjoy your  amazing evening meal.

Lovely food and fantastic service, had great time and will be back there next January.

Last on a Friday evening they offer a tasting menu 7 course dinner £70.

but to us it was more like lunch, so much more than just cake.

The staff, food,  rooms and welcome cannot be faulted.

Dinner is a 5 star event wonderful food well done to all in the kitchen and waiting lades and gentlemen .

The restaurant area is split into smaller sections which makes it more cosy.

I was in an empty area of the restaurant which was not in any way closed off or anything..

but still fractious toddlers were brought into the dining areas .

Our second floor room was comfortable and quite large with a balcony that overlooked the pool.

Our room 226 a Schatzberg had a beautiful view over nature garden and the mountains.

Inside there is a fantastic steam room and a range of saunas.

The bar room is very elegant and welcoming, with a roaring fire and tasteful interior design.

Next a new enlarged wine cellar a new room with a large table for a small dinner or meeting  and the hotels wine tastings on a Monday .

Our room on the second floor had beautiful new wood flooring and quality furniture.

We were allocated a lovely spacious room (203).

the rooms are very nice and spotless bathroom towels and things are good.

Lovely room, delicious food, pretty gardens and delightful staff.

The room was spacious and the services recieved by all the staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

As you would expect the hotel is spotlessly clean, is in an excellent skiing location with the free ski bus stop right outside the ski room.

We stayed in a sonnjoch room which had an amazing view of the surrounding mountains.

A most beautiful hotel with charming rooms, mine had a great view over the roofs and the village.

Room was in new Sonnjoch block and was spacious.

but the Boglerhof is even better because not only does it have large and cosy rooms; the food is superb and the kids’ club operates until at least 9 o’clock each evening.

The staff all say hello if they pass you.

Modern flat screen TV, desk area,  comfortable beds, large wardrobe and storage.

Made to feel really welcome by all the staff.

Most importantly, the welcome and the staff are as good as before - led by the Duftners and also with long standing people such as Nikki in the Halle.

Hansi Treichl’s culinary expertise showcases the finest Austrian produce offering a tasting menu of either four or seven courses with the perfect wine pairing for each courtesy of the excellent sommelier Hannes.

The waiting staff are friendly, efficient and couldn’t be more helpful.

Are just the best they know what you like and don’t like and it all comes with a smile.

The team at Hotel Boglerhof have thought of everything.

The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive, and made our stay so much easier.

We were served champagne by the owners wife at a special meal evening.. would definitely recommend.

Lots of activities for kids, good food and an overall feeling of luxury.

Its very pretty, nice location, welcoming, great food, activities and excellent bar and restaurant staff.

Hotel offers great facilities for families, accommodation, food and beverage at all times, multiple entertainment for kids, rental facilities for skiing equipment and vicinity of the slopes.

and most importantly, the animators were really great with the kids.

Great activities every day to keep kids of all ages entertained and amazing facilities - a big soft play zone and the climbing wall and a huge baby zone and a big general play area with toys my son literally couldn’t even dream of.

Bar and lounge area - perfect for playing card or board games with kids or watching the world go by.

Daily activities for all offered - must try is the Segway tour as well as Lauserland, reaching via cable car.

Kids -lots to do.swimming, sauna, slides, games room, climbing wall evening activities.

There is also a cinema with film screenings  and lots of organised activities.

The hotel lobby was pretty and welcoming, people hang around there all the time drinking, playing games.

Everyone is very nice and helpful, and activities are perfectly organised.

Children activities are great, an in-house activity coordinator arranges walks/ cycling/ segway/ and hi-ropes outing for the children.

There is lots of activities in the hotel for the kids, large entertainment area with a climbing wall, very long slide in the pool area.

The kids now have a amazing water slide as well as pools,climbing wall ,games room,indoor play area and teen lounge!

The staff were very child-friendly, and made the whole experience of learning to ski into a big game for them.

After supper my children all loved to go to the kids club to play - there is a great ball area and also x boxes and other electronic games for the older ones - so we could finish our meal in peace.

Conclusion:
We payed 1.100 euro for 2 nights including breakfast and dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids in July of 2022.

Adults can relax in the spa with sauna overlooking the slopes, restaurant has great food.

The adults only spa and pool were lovely and felt very luxurious.

Also a great adult only section which was a treat to use.

Everything you can imagine at breakfast, huge choice at lunch and more gourmet choices for adults in the evening.

But what surprised me was how it was such a perfect hotel for adults AND for kids.

Indoor pool in 7 Heaven, next to Spa and rooftop whirlpool, overlooking the valley and picturesque scenery, part of a morning relaxing routine for adults.

As adults the instructors were also great giving lessons to us older, rusty skiers.

Adult lessons were equally as good and there is a good choice of slopes for the beginner/improver or nervous skier (like me).

Spent New Year  2017 in Galtenberg, family with three adults (grandmother came along) and four kids: 6, 10 and two 13-year olds.

It was a well designed area for adults with several saunas and pools.

The hotel has recently had a huge extension with adult only pool,sauna's,and roof top hot tub!

though I didn't get there as much as I would have liked, the pool and hot tub in the adult only spa, are really nice.

For the adults' dinner there is again a good choice of salads as well as soups to start and a lovely cheeseboard to finish.

The Galtenberg ski school, which caters for children rather than adults, was also very good.

We were a party of 2 adults and 3 boys aged 4, 8 and 10.

Mainly buffet style breakfast, lunch, dinner with menu choices and table services for adults most nights.

Travelled as a party of 6 adults, 4 kids and 2 infants and the hotel definitely delivered on its promise to be a fantastic all inclusive, superb value for money family and infant friendly hotel!

Room was great (we had a K4 for 2 adults a toddler and a 3 year old which was fine - bit 'cosy'

We took the shuttle to Alpbach and the horse and carriage ride (12 euros per adult) up part of the mountain to a great restaurant for a drink.

This hotel has everything that a family could ever wish for, indoor slides, outside pool and jacuzzi, all day kids club with amazing staff - big soft play, wall climbing, play area and children can have meals there too.

It was very pleasant to sit in the lounge areas and watch the world go by.

Plenty of stuff to do in the area as well, even with small or younger kid's (who loved going up to the Wiedersberghorn summit with the gondola).

Galtenberg offers very good facilities, a beautiful and stylish spa area, with high quality treatments (special thanks to Fred the massage therapist).

The kids club is fantastic - a large kindergarten style room and terracefor  'in club' children, and a soft play and climbing wall area in which older children can play in unsupervised (parents decide).

Excellent childcare, a fun pool for kids, soft play area and a private spa/pool/Jacuzzi for parents.

If you go, make sure you use 7th Heaven, the adults-only pool and spa area, a hot tub on the roof looking out at the most beautiful views!

Play area was very popular with kids, even the older ones, waterslides were a hit as well.

I summarize our findings below:

Ski school was great - my 4 year old loved the Bobo children's ski area which was next to the hotel.

I would highly recommend Galtenberg hotel for a family ski holiday as it thinks of everything and is great value for money.

This hotel is a great option for families.

We can’t recommend this hotel enough especially for families.

We witnessed a chap with his family being subjected to aggression, threats and accusations of stealing skis from Sabine.

Whichever the weather, there is plenty to do (family pool/thermen, thermen/spa and pools at the rooftop, nice cosy bar and fireplace area, playrooms for the kids, activities for young and old every day,, a small pony range and pettingzoo with playground across the meadow,  . ).

This was a great resort—it is an updated version of the traditional Austrian ski lodge and focused on families and children.

We came for a family ski trip with friends, kids of all ages from baby to teenagers.

Our first family ski holiday, with two kids aged 9 and 7 and it (almost) could not have been better.

Welcome drinks and chocolates on arrival, our room was immaculate, well appointed and spacious (we had the 60mSq option room for a family of 5), crocs and dressing gowns for all.

As with many reviews already posted, really cannot fault this hotel for a family ski break.

This hotel is just plain faultless for a family ski trip.

Would definitely recommend for families with young children they will love it.
