The corridors are stinky, from drainage and cigarette.

The Bar was small with additional seating in the wide hallway from the entrance to the back of the hotel.

The halls and corridors have tasteful reproductions of famous paintings by the masters.

As other reviewers have correctly pointed out - there are no smoke detectors in the rooms or hallways - and no emergency evacuation plans - which are normally posted in hotel rooms - irrespective of the country or region.

There were no smoke alarms or fire escape instructions in the rooms or corridors! !

Very tired, poor drainage (smelly at times), up a very steep hill.

Just returned from hotel sonne after a 5 day stay, generally dirty and dusty, food insufficient and of poor quality had better in fast food outlets;  went all inclusive wine on offer poor, beers ok  never saw sauna or steam room open for use; would not go back.

In the hotel, I had a comfortable, fresh and clean room, looking out over the mountains.

When we checked in, the rooms were clean and there was nothing to complain about.

The hotel itself isn’t the most up to date and does smell quite strongly of cigarettes,

One of the things which does spoil the bar is that smoking is allowed inside, from the people on our tour nobody smoked and you could not get away from it, only by spending the evening in the restaurant where smoking is not allowed.

We stayed overnight in the Mercury  Hotel in Saarbrucken  Germany no problem`s And  on  to The Hotel Sonne in Landeck Austria This is an Old 3 star hotel the rooms were clean & the food was reasonable.The down side of the Hotel in evenings was smoking in bar.which caused problems for some passengers with COPD.

The lack of fire precautions and the ever present smell of smoke marked this hotel's rating down.

There was a Dove soap dispenser (it smelt like Dove soap too), a small bar of hand soap and a hairdryer.

The towels were changed daily and there were some basic toiletries, did not worry us as we always take our own.

Only minor complaints, we never had clean towels half way through, and if josef was busy and the boss not around waiting to be served at the bar could be a while.

In the bathroom we had 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels which weren’t changed automatically,

Because our days had organised trips, we did not see too much of the local area which we would have liked to explore further.

Make sure if you go to go into the woods and see the little replica village built by 4 local men who are all over 80 years old and when we went to see it so lucky to have met these wonderful men.

I paid a single person supplement which is as far as I’m concerned is to make up the shortfall of having to give a double room to a single person.

If you have any kind of accident you pay dearly for it ie break an ordinary glass and get charged 7 euros..,not worth it

This hotel in Pfunds, has everything one would wish to find in a hotel, from good and abundant food, swimming pool, sauna, friendly staff, clean rooms and situated close to the Italian and Swiss borders.

The rooms are clean and the swimming pool is also good.

The pool, sauna and steam room were clean with plenty of towels available and well kept.

We a family with two kids  just stayed for 7 days in the Hotel Tyrol in Pfunds which was wonderful in all aspects ,  good location, very clean rooms, good breakfast and dinners,
excellent staff etc, 

We look forward to stay in this lovely Hotel in Pfunds sometime in winter.

But when I got to my room it was a single!

I felt that the hotel was somewhat understaffed and we did not get much individual attention from waiters especially during dinner - at one time food was brought to all the table except for one single person who had to wait for quite a while for his plate which was exactly the same order as the others.

When we checked out the next day a different receptionist told us we did have to pay as booking.com was going to charge them.

Please note if you're arriving at the hotel when football is on the TV, the beer tents are commandeered with multiple TV's for the numerous fans who turn up and take over, making it unable to find a table as all the tables are now 'reserved', so much for being a resident?

I queried why no attempt was made to contact me prior to my arrival at the hotel to tell me that they had overbooked.

However, as I only arrived at the hotel at about 2 AM due to a train delay, I wanted to catch up some sleep the next morning.

On arrival in Munich as part of a group we found out that we couldn't travel to our chosen destination due to a road closure.

In 2007 I was here before, when we arrived late and had informed the hotel about that.

We got a call from recepition on Saturday to ask if we could call booking.com and cancel the booking as they had sold the room and there should be no charge.

He was unable or unwilling to confirm why he was there and he never apologized for entering the room whilst i was not properly dressed, he also didn't even knock the second or third time.

We couldn't get a room here the last time in Landeck so we made sure we booked early this year.

but then they shouldn't confirm our booking.

They eventually found the original booking (done last November) and agreed there was a mistake.

The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

Nothing much here is ever a problem is the sense you get from the staff and management.

Although it does say Pets not allowed in their website the management welcomed our (well-behaved) golden retriever and only charged 19.euros for the 4 nights 

Just returned from our second summer stay and we weren't dissappointed.

The hotel and rooms are clean and very nicely decorated, which helps with the first impressions.

The Superior room was clean and modern, 30m2 with a comfortable sofa bed for our daughter and a comfortable king size bed.

Nice, clean rooms, the kitchen, winelist and friendly staff at all levels made the stay very reccomendable.

I was very pleased with my spacious and tidy room that had recently been renovated.

The rooms were very clean and quite, even overlooking the street.

Service was great; rooms very clean and comfortable.

Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the hotel is in an excellent location whether you are sightseeing or making use of the nearby skiing

but instead, I got a very small room with 2 separated small beds.

During the breakfest time, you had to clean the table yourself after the previous guests, as dirty plates staying there for 2hours.

The only thing which we could miss in the room was some better light for reading or working, maybe an extra lamp at the table.

Dinner is prepared with attention and meals are of high quality, both in taste and presentation.

Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms - we really enjoyed our stay.

Not so sure about the one evening entertainment, mostly aimed at locals.

Once the doors were shut, we couldn't hear any roadside noise.

It is a 3 star hotel that appears to have been recently  refurbished with new carpets and upholstery.

There is choice of three main courses (meat, fish and vegetarian) every evening if you order catering; maybe vegetarians can be a little bit disappointed (some veg dishes were more like sides, only without meat).

however leading managers should be sent to same “school of service” as the other great and servicenminded staff or perhabs switch to a lower position to learn how to behave - towards guests - and in generel perhaps.

If the hotel manager Christian [--] really had taken this issue seriously or had the experience to cope with his own bad behavior of accepting his staff insulating guests,  he would not have asked me ( the guest) “ what can I do about it” – I’m not the hotel manager  He is.

but we knew that when we booked and therefore just want to make future guests aware.

I have since been told that is why the staff were not doing anything for us as we were not as important or loud as these other guests.

They have developed a service culture towards their guests that, levels nothing to be desired.

As at our previous stay, the only drawback was part of the clientele.

They could not do any porridge whatsoever.. i asked for goat-dairy, they did not have any, not speaking about coconut or soya milk.

I am sure the hotel would have provided other and lighter douvets if we have asked for it, though.

On several occasions I asked something trivial like where is the toilet, or where is the elevator to the garden, and they could not answer and had to refer me to someone else.

We left the hotel three days ago and my kids have already asked me four times when we are coming back.

If there were one request for improving the sleeping quality.

I notified the the hotel of my situation on my return to Australia on January 5 2011 and the hotel requested payment of 70% of the total amount after I had signed an authorization form which clearly stated that an amount equivalent to 3 days be charged if I cancel my stay outside of 21 days prior to the commencement of our check in date.

Also we were quite astonished to learn that the dress code during dinner time is rather casual, men are only asked to wear long trousers.

When we asked the manageress if we could pay for our room along with the dinner, she said no.

This small family hotel exceeded all expectation
when we pulled in we were made to feel very welcome and when to see a place were the locals socialise you know its going be good
room so spotless and a very good size 
we dined there that night and the choice of food and flavours  was amazing
breakfast could not be faulted and we will be retuning next year ..

Rooms were spotless and had all the essentials.

but that's probably just because we're used to a smoking ban at home.
