There is a games room to play pool, there is an on-site bowling alley, a sauna and steam room as well as an area with panoramic windows where you can relax and catch a tan.

Following the road at the back of the hotel takes you further into the old village area, with some beautiful old houses.

Upon entering the hotel, which is large, and must " buzz" in winter months, you can immediately smell stale tobacco smoke - there is a bar near reception area where guests and locals gather to drink and smoke,

The smell of smoke permeates the air and is strong even in bedroom on 1st floor.

We arrived late afternoon for a 5 night stay and the reception area looked very welcoming

Sadly, smoking is serious business in such a clean country and the bar area was smoky

Bar drinks were cheap and the food outstanding.

In the evening, there is a cosy room to sit in, with an open fireplace, between the restaurant and bar.

but adequate with wi-fi available, parking and a bar and restaurant on sight.

We also enjoyed the cosy bar with an open log fire in the evening,

The free bar provided as part of the tour allowed free local drinks including beer (which was good), soft drinks, tea, coffee from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

as a yardstick/decider the hotel in Kirchberg (which got a five rating from me) is better  and the food and free bar far superior to the Sonne.

We were actually staying up the street at a Pension that did not have a bar or restaurant so we were told to try this place and it was great!

The facilities in the hotel were good a well stocked bar, Sauna, Sun room, Pool table, Skittle alley etc.

The reception area was the only warm area and most of the guests huddled round a log fire in a lounge between the bar and dining room.

but most of the time it was too cold to sit out in an evening.

We are not going to return: it was very cold in the room(some nights I put my hat and slept like that), the bed was dirty with hair on it,in the restaurant all the glases and plaits were sticky and unwashed.

Very cold in the bedroom, no heating, and radiator was missing from the bathroom.

The Bar was small with additional seating in the wide hallway from the entrance to the back of the hotel.

The entrance door handle was loose and we had to be careful this didnot come away in our hand incase we became stranded either side.

It is an old building with some history and odd lay out due to once being a private home.

Considering there were two school groups in the hotel at the time, there was little noise and private guests did not seem inconvenienced.

In the hotel, I had a comfortable, fresh and clean room, looking out over the mountains.

The spa area is also quite spacious  - with 4 saunas and a big swimming pool.

Would definitely return to this hotel should we stay in this area again.

A pool and spa area are included within the hotel premises and are a welcome method of chilling out after a days exploring, skiing or touring.

The hotel is set in such a quiet area with fantastic views.

but would have welcomed a few more degrees in the swimming pool and a better bar area for non smokers.

The hotel was spotless and very well presented with lovely reception area and bar with comfortable settees, chairs and other furnishings .

I have stayed at the Tyrol a few times now and it is without doubt the best hotel in the area.

Cleanliness was ok as well.Very quiet and peaceful area away from all the hassles of the world.Staff very friendly plus free internet access.

Pfunds is a very sweet village easy to go around with 3 shopping markets and pharmacy in the area and a bakery just out side our hotel.

The breakfast was very good and also the dinner was good and the hotel was super clean, the only one thing that I found horrible is that at the reception and the bar area is permitted to smoke, I was very surprised and shocked about it, and also the pubs and bars in Pfunds were free smoking!

The breakfast was plentiful and the dinner was lovely, it included a lovely fresh salad bar.

Bar and lounge area has a lovely warm atmosphere, with a modern real fire place you can soon loose a few hours enjoying beer, wine, tea, coffee etc (Asbach for me) and chatting away to complete strangers who are also enjoying the very soul of this super gem of a hotel.

The lounge bar is very cosy and the pool is lovely, even i used it for some minutes.

When the coach returned to the hotel each evening I went elsewhere for food and drink.

T he area in the evening is dead nowhere where you can at least go for a walk after dinner  let alone go for a drink anywhere.

Unfortunately smoking is still allowed in the bar and reception area and we had to have our drinks outside as I'm asthmatic.

Rooms were comfortable and spacious and well equipped.

The bedrooms are spacious, very clean and tidy and traditionally decorated with a really comfy bed and additional seating in the room, sadly no tea/coffee making facilities in the room though.

This hotel in Pfunds, has everything one would wish to find in a hotel, from good and abundant food, swimming pool, sauna, friendly staff, clean rooms and situated close to the Italian and Swiss borders.

The hotel is a small one and the staff are friendly and always willing to help, Our room was very spacious and most  important very clean.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming, and our room was great.

The rooms are clean and the swimming pool is also good.

Friendly and efficient staff with the best room we have ever had on a ski holiday.

The pool, sauna and steam room were clean with plenty of towels available and well kept.

The staff is very good ,TV all german stations nothing in English, rooms not very cosy infact a little bit cold,in September.

There was also an excellent indoor swimming pool with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, with free lockers and towels.

Apart from the excellent service and the clean comfortable rooms, the food served during dinner was well prepared and of high standard.

The room was quite large and bathroom exc.

We a family with two kids  just stayed for 7 days in the Hotel Tyrol in Pfunds which was wonderful in all aspects ,  good location, very clean rooms, good breakfast and dinners,

but the Enzian hotel a great stopping off point for a variety of areas in the west Tirol.

We've been to this hotel many times and recommended it with confidence to others.Only on one occasion, did we have cause to complain about the number of flies invading the dining area.

There are a variety of rooms available with a wellness area in the hotel basement.

The restaurant was very good and there is a large outdoor area too.

The Relax area in the basement is awesome for tired legs.

The hotel-owned outdoor area behind the hotel is also inviting to meet new friends after excellent motorbiketours with a coffee and cake for free or the first beer.

The restaurant and bar area are airy and comfortable and there is a large covered outside area for drinks/dining and shelter from the sun or in our case, rain!

We flew from Ireland hired a car in Memmingen and drove down, (2hrs) we picked up our bike from here, it was very easy.

Klaus was very helpful with the bike and even provided us with helmets since we had traveled from USA.

The BMW motorbike centre on site was especially useful so we rented some big bikes from them.

There are BMW bikes that can be taken out for the day and a mechanic is on site in the evenings.

We rented bikes from the BMW test centre in the hotel.

Ample bike parking and great location for a tour base in Austria.

Klaus and his staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful - phoning the Honda dealer to check on the progress of the bike's repairs, and taking me to the railway station to travel to seek my bike.

But, for a base as a motorcyclist to tour the great countryside it has all the facilities; various routes taking in the surrounding countries, wash bay and pressure cleaner (1 euro), a workshop and mechanic to help if repairs or tyres are required, good range of BMW bike hire with an assortment of various gear to try out before you buy.

I'd therefore hoped for a friendly welcome as a solo biker, and possibly some like minded individuals to chat to in the bar in the evening, as well as a safe place to leave my bike overnight.

Great hotel, especially if you're a motorcyclist as there are lots of facilities and great parking for the bikes.

Its a bike friendly hotel in an ideal location and they work hard to make you feel welcome.

The food and facilities are excellent, there is servicing/mechanic and also bike cleaning on the premises.

I stayed with a friend and we did the bike tours every day the weather permitted it.

Secure garages to park the motor bikes with lots of wash bay facilities and support staff.

The hotel has a the full range of BMW bikes for test rides and a few for rental, plus a garage and washing/workshop facilities.

Bike storage, mechanic, bike wash, local maps of the best roads and a guide if needed.

Rooms are very comfortable, lots of facilities to look after the bike and a great base for the mountaina, popping back into Bavaria etc.

Everybody was concerned about the lack of basic hygiene control.

When I suggested some form of control measure - cling film, glass covers or insect zappers, the lady shrugged her shoulders.

I don’t expect to pay for food covers in flys!

There is under cover bikes-only parking, an air line, a power washer and a visor cleaning facility.

The receptionist made a feeble excuse about not telephoning due to "pronunciation issues".

However, as I only arrived at the hotel at about 2 AM due to a train delay, I wanted to catch up some sleep the next morning.

On arrival in Munich as part of a group we found out that we couldn't travel to our chosen destination due to a road closure.

Our room was beautiful as is the entire Hotel.

The rooms are large (We had a superior room) comfortable with modern bathroom facilities.

The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

Stayed here for a week good about 10mins walk from railway station 15 mins to town centre,room was very good standard of Austrian hospitality off what I expected.

The family of four  - the two kids went into a brand new room in a block adjacent to the (older) main building, we went into room 106.

The room was not too hot as there were windows on 2 sides and a balcony so a breeze could circulate.

We were on the first floor so might as well as have been in the same room.

Mix up with room bookings also did not help, it makes you think someone has taken their eye off the ball in a serious way with good food

Room was great with big bathroom, large bed and long balcony.

Our recently refurbished room in the block next door is very clean and decorated to a high standard.

Rooms are well presented, and the en-suite  bathrooms are very well equipped, complete with heated flooring.

And Serfaus/Fiss/Ladis is a very popular area in winter and summer, and thats for many reasons.

Also, we would recommend this area over Zillertal/Mayrhofn for those trying to choose between the two as a base for hiking.

The public areas as well as the rooms are well designed and pleasing to the eye.

Being winter guests we visited the area of Serfaus Fiss Ladis our first time in summer.

but ski  area is great  and friendly people !

Nothing much here is ever a problem is the sense you get from the staff and management.

Although it does say Pets not allowed in their website the management welcomed our (well-behaved) golden retriever and only charged 19.euros for the 4 nights 

Just returned from our second summer stay and we weren't dissappointed.

The hotel and rooms are clean and very nicely decorated, which helps with the first impressions.

The Superior room was clean and modern, 30m2 with a comfortable sofa bed for our daughter and a comfortable king size bed.

Must say I blown away with the rooms as they were fantastic something I wasn't really expecting ,they were very modern had a great bar and restaurant on site and the staff were very friendly and helpful .

I was happy to find the its restaurant served a good dinner and breakfast, as I was too tired to go looking for another restaurant in the area.

There are also good opportunities for high-altitude hiking and even summiting the easier peaks of the area.

My husband and I stayed here as a central spot for skiing multiple locations in the area.

LOCATION:
What I really feel that it was extraordinary was the fact that we could go skiing in different ski areas every day.

Landeck is a very beautiful city and this hotel gives a good possibility to travel in the area.

The areas downstairs are beautifully decorated, and the restaurant of a high standard, both for breakfast and dinner.

Beds are old and creaky and way too soft; there are bugs (eg silverfish) in the room, there is nobody at the reception after 10 PM, the sink is in the room and not in the bathroom (bathroom is too small to fit one), many rooms face the main street where are bars that are open late and the customers are noisy.

dear couples, please do not trust the lady at the reception when she tries to ease it up on you by saying that you both can fit on the same bed, those beds are so small you would rather sleep either on your left or the right side.

but the terrace for smokers was next to the room which meant we could smell cigarette smoke when our window and door was open.

My room was a single occupancy double room which gave lots of room.

Even though, upon booking, I double checked the room we were supposed to stay in (large with a double bed),

Rooms were very nice and we got a lovely view over the river and mountains.

The hotel was spotless, the rooms spacious and comfortable, and as for the food - it was wonderful.

The room and all the hotel shines from cleaning!

Nice, clean rooms, the kitchen, winelist and friendly staff at all levels made the stay very reccomendable.

Atmosphere, food, every day freshed rooms, and vicinity of the best prepared in my opinion skiing conditions made this place one of the best for winter holiday.
