From the moment we arrived to the broad smiles and personal welcome from Despina and Mavra, who are passionate about guest satisfaction, and all the other amazing receptionists who made everything run smoothly, our stay was 100% perfect.

When we came back to the resort, they checked in on us frequently and ensured we ate properly, etc.

We always vowed to come back and from the moment we arrived the team made sure our stay felt so most important and special from Mira at the front desk, the gentleman who took our luggage to the room and the attendant who took time out to take photos of us in the jacuzzi whilst he was delivering our drinks.

From the moment we arrived at Anastasia apartments, we were welcomed like family.

At check in, a member of the staff will sit you down to organize your stay so I’d recommend having a plan going in so you can let them know when you’d like breakfast, the coffee snack, apero, and make dinner plans.

From arrival welcoming to beautiful breakfasts, the hotel grounds, rooms and then there is the staff.

I received a very warm welcome from the moment I arrived and was extremely well taken care of throughout my stay.

Everything was extremely curated and customized just for us and all of it was completed before we even arrived!

We arrived just in time for sunset and the breathtaking views!

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty.

When we arrived we were welcomed as if we were family and this continued throughout our 6 nights stay.

The team were waiting to greet us when we arrived and Despina the owner showed us around.

On arrival day the hotel phoned my husband to say our room was ready and that they would send a car,

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner Despina and her staff, so friendly and and Myra organized everything from airport transfers, dinner reservations, excursions, breakfast delivery times, full concierge.

She checked with the Doctor and made sure I had the right food when I got back so not to aggrevate my condition

Once I arrived, late at night, they were super welcoming and asked about all sorts of preferences of mine.

From the moment you check in, they ask all your preferences for food drinks, etc.

even in uncertain times the crew made us feel at home the moment we arrived.

We arrived with an organized transfer from the airport of Santorini for 25€ (for the two of us).

I think this sums it up: I said to my husband on the second day of our trip, "It's like you never want for anything. Before you feel thirst, heat, or hunger, they're there to fix it?"

She arrived at our unit with a large roll of green felt-like carpet which fixed everything - no more potential for slipping anywhere in the bathroom.

but the staff did all they could and had engineers in straight away to solve the problem and finally we were sent a note saying it was all fixed along with some champagne and chocolates!

However, if you're looking for quiet, customized service, the ability to fix some of your own meals (I believe some, if not most, of the rooms have small kitchenettes), total relaxation, and spectacular views, this is a wonderful place and the ONLY place I ever stay whenever we're in Santorini.

The staff here is so welcoming and so friendly.

The whole team are all so lovely and friendly and really do work so hard to make your stay perfect in every way.

What really makes place number 1 was the staff, they were absolutely amazing, so hospitable, friendly and always made us feel special.

My in-laws had an exquisite relaxing beautiful time and stay with spectacular views and excellent service of no comparison by a friendly and always happy crew.

We were shown through to the Reception area where we were welcomed by the friendly Despina (Hotel Manager) and then taken up to one of the beautiful terraces (complete with staggering views, a wall style water feature and tweeting bird in a cage), and given a bottle of water each and a fresh wipe while Myrah took us through the details of the hotel and provided lots of useful information to us.

The service by the staff is outstanding and provided in a super friendly way.

This was one of our best travel/leisure experiences so far: The best part of it was without a doubt the staff  - they are all just incredibly friendly, charming and helpful !!!

Food and drinks were fantastic, the pool was immaculate, dinner reservations and activities were easily arranged, and the staff was wonderful, very friendly and professional.

The hotel is a short walk from the towns and everyone was incredibly friendly.

Now they were only a cheap pair of socks and didn't think too much about it - after all being on holidays for 2 months through Europe socks will go missing.

Despina and Anastasis's  Team  did everything to make our stay fabulous .

All of these little touches, as well as the incredibly attentive staff, set them apart from anywhere that we have stayed before.

Nothing is too much trouble, every detail is carefully considered and every interaction leaves you with a smile.

The hotel team had thought of absolutely everything.

I was wondering the same thing and I'm convinced it's the way Despina and her team work to build a relationship with each guest.

The owners and staff were probably the most hospitable during my travels.

Once again Despina and the Anistasis team did not disappoint us with our brief

but what we have experienced is every team member is on the same page, that it is clear that they all want the same thing… for you to have the most special stay possible, and they succeed!

We experienced  the most attentive  service from  Despina and the team .Our Junior  suite was beautiful  and the views from our patio were to die for .

But it is the attention to detail here and the staff team which make Anastasis the absolute number 1 place to stay on Santorini.

I have had the fortune to visit some of the most beautiful properties worldwide, and this unique boutique hotel in Imerovigli with sunset views that you would remortgage your house for is up there with the best. Service is faultless, and your every need is met ( even those needs you didn’t realise you had!)

This was our first visit to Santorini and it certainly didn't disappoint and won't be our last.

As there is so many other places to visit in the world it may be another 10 years before we come back again

They arranged & recommended places to eat & visit, all wonderful.

The peace I found during this visit was life changing.

One of the best we visited was Rare, if you like Rib Eye Steak 'Rare' is a must!

The Anastasis apartments pristine atmosphere and outstanding accommodations make this resort even more unique for every couple to visit.

This was our 1st stop on our honeymoon, visiting from California, and it was incredible!!

All the recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit were excellent and the complimentary local drop off and pick up was great too.

This was our second visit  to  Anastasis  Apartments in the past 3 years.

This gave the whole resort a touch of luxury, sunbeds always available and set up with fresh towels (do not bother to pack towels) as even if you visit the beach they will provide beach towels.

This has been one of our favorite places to visit in the whole world.

We traveled in shoulder season (late April) and from the websites it seemed very hard to determine the difference between the $100’s properties and the $300+ properties.

The website says they serve a "Light Breakfast" this discription does it a dis-service!

The only review on this website that is 'terrible' mentions the distance to places, well, we found the lovely walk to imerovegli village (which has around 6 restaurants) only a ten minute trip and a very picturesque one at that so not really a problem.

Not only is this place absolutely beautiful (the pictures on here and on their website simply don't do it justice)

We have never, EVER, been so thankful for this website!!

Like many other trip-advisor users, I had read all of the rave reviews prior to organising our trip and had decided on this hotel as a result of the recommendations I read on this website.

The cost on the website is what you pay (unless you actively choose additional meals), that's it.

Although the website shows the resort just as it is it cannot portray the peace and tranquility that Despina and her team ensure each guest enjoys.

Despina likes to surprise her guests with the facilities within the room, so the pictures and descriptions listed on the website may not reveal all that are in stored.

I booked this place because of all of the other rave reviews I read on this website.

As pretty as the pictures on the  website are, 
they can not even begin to do it justice! INDESCRIBABLE!

strong winds at night, cleaning ladies or other guests in the morning); I would recommend bringing earplugs, and perhaps a sleeping mask since the curtains are not really sufficient to keep the room dark.

Jacuzzi in our room smelled funny and a creepy dark road leads to the center of Fira.

And walking back in the dark can be a bit uncomfortable 

There are advantages to being a bit far away - quieter, no problem for taxis to arrive - as long as you expect it.

The room is dark and upstairs bedroom has no window and floor height is low.

Though it's only a 10 minute walk, some part of the walk is unlighted, unpaved, and almost no people walk that road after dark.

however i found the room to be very dark with not a lot of natural light and the bathroom seemed worse than the one we already had.

With everything being white in the room, I don't see how the room can be dark!

I did not want to eat alone and did not want to walk back from the centre in the dark, as the hotel is on the edge of land that is not all developed yet (although it all seemed safe).

The hotel location isn't great given that is the road it's on is only under construction and the walk from the town centre back to the hotel is very dark at night.

But in fact the rooms are too big and dark.

nevertheless, the room we got was dark with very little lighting.

We looked at the "other" hotels we had considered and many of the cliff facing rooms were dark and stuffy with hotel pools that were really were just splash pools.

It's a small, dank, dark room with 3-4 machines. 2.

You need to walked around 1km to reach the city of fira, there is no light along the path, its really dark at night.

Everyone who works there is super friendly.

The bar staff around the pool area are a little slow with the service

but I guess it's the slow Greek way of life there.

Despite service often being slow we found most of the staff friendly and would try and accommodate you as best as they could (for example because there was only one English tv channel we asked if it was possible to have a dvd player in our room and

The only other con which sounds ridiculous as you're on holiday is that the wifi is stupidly slow and connection drops literally every few minutes, we got better wifi on the beaches, for a 5 star hotel would have expected better connections,

but the response was slow and still left us unsatisfied.

Service a little slow and we would have liked a little more variety on fruits and cereals or bread/pastry,

but if you like to take things slow and just relax, you may enjoy an afternoon by the pool.

Super slow speed and only in the patio location not in the bedroom! Yikes!

Would suggest removing the strong perfume smell from the lobby.

The thing we didn't like was smoking by the pool and bar, very off putting when you are eating, it would be better if the hotel was totally non smoking.

We were picked up in a battered old small mini bus that had no air conditioning and was full of exhaust fumes, the driver was a little reckless and far too fast, not all of the seat belts worked either!

To answer the questions below:  There are non smoking rooms, I cannot say it is a non-smoking hotel,

but then by afternoon they are in the shade - however we were there in cooler month of late sept and had it been warmer may have used more however there is not a lot of privacy between the pools adjacent, unfortunately the only thing that really lets this hotel down is the sewage smell that wafts up over these rooms, it was very unpleasant and we had to keep doors closed to pool when in room.

The bathroom was very basic (small, a little smelly and leaked everywhere when we took a shower as there was nothing sealing the bottom of the shower screen) and that isn't at all what I would have expected from a luxury hotel that comes at such a luxury price.

Yet, even in September the sun was still scorching, so walking that small distance meant breaking some sweat.

The bed hard and we had a piece of molding missing from our wall and mold on the wall under the entertainment center!

We needed to go across a bus station with terrible smoke and through some bushes and then uphill to reach the main area with restaurants and shops.

The air con does not work in our room , we had to originally change rooms because the first room we were in - bath plug didn't work and the bathroom stunk !

And there was a smell of sewerage outside of our rooms.

Also the mini bar gave off an awful smell which they did try to address without success.

The beds were uncomfortable and there was a bad smell coming out of the closet.

Stale ingredients, low quality ingredients, etc. -Bathroom was designed poorly -- door could not open past tub, shower was broken when we arrived (later fixed)
-hotel staff did not deliver on simple requests expected at a 5-star hotel (example: I arranged to rent a car through the front desk, starting at a set time,

The rooms are nothing special and it did smell quite a bit as we initially checked into our room.

It was like they'd tried to use bleach or something.

In addition, the tub had clearly not been cleaned in a while because I saw mildew and mold in the corner of the tub. 6.

Hope was amazing and we always looked forward to speaking to her and Dorothy on reception.

Dorothy was super sweet at the front desk ans knowledgeable!

The treatments given by Anna were so magical, she has healing hands and was very attentive!

Kiki is very knowledgeable and helpful when deciding on what spa services to select.

Breakfast and service was amazing and we have to mention, especially about Marylena who gave us many tips for tours and made a reservation in one of the best places to see the sunset in Oia, she is wonderful, always smiling, kind and helpful.

Amal from the reception was after our trip in Santorini and she did more that what we expected helping us in everything we wanted.

Ps: the breakfast is incredible, we did not test the restaurant or room service card preferring the typical restaurants of Santorini .

When trying to get a refund of my booking deposit, my credit card company claimed they never received the refund and refused to issue the credit.

Objectively, not a good balance for what you pay.

It would be helpful if they had key card entries as a convince to the guests like every luxury hotel we've ever stayed at.

Andronis did eventually honour the discount with a credit,

We also requested taxis several time from our hotel, and because there are limited amounts on the island and taxis couldnt be called, the hotel would use there car to drive us to our location (charging us the price of the taxi).

When we arrived at the hotel, Nadia apologized for the snafu and told us that we would not be charged for the service AND that the hotel would take us back to the ferry at no charge.

Only one thing would have been nice is that in the amount you pay to the hotel, visually it would be great if the hotel arranged transport to and from the airport port instead of charging an extra fee for it.

Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning at no charge and set up on the table outside.

It was a beautiful property with luxurious and big rooms built in the typical Santorini architectural style, in a nutshell: white washed walls, grey glossy cement and blue doors and windows along with breathtaking views, from any part of the hotel, of the entire city of Oia, The staff was extremely warm and they accommodated our request for date changes very graciously, even when the website that we booked through raised their hands and told us we will be charged double for changes.

You pay for 4-5 wines/bottles to sample and are charged for every bottle,

With so many more places to see in the world it is such a credit to Andronis that we say "to heck with it - lest go back to Oia!".

The service is incredible,particularly as there is no room service charge, yet you never want to leave the room, so they have to bring food up and down lots of stairs all day and all night.

Besides Elsa (not that you need any other reason to come to Andronis), there was Oliver who was in charge of their food and beverage area.

My husband and I have stayed at some wonderful small resorts, and Andronis is definitely leading the charge in terms of service and overall hospitality.

They get the right balance between being friendly and professional, never intrusive
