All in all I would say the El Greco resort is more like a poor three star hotel, it’s probably great for the international guest who are only staying two nights whilst they island hope

The quality of the breakfast is poor, bordering on awful.

The buffet breakfast had a poor selection..

however the beds are only double and very hard the pillows are even worse very poor quality nice big shower in the room.

Finally, room servicing was poor as I had a glass of water on my first night that continued to sit there not replaced or cleaned all the way until the last night.

To me I think this is really disappointing as clearly this is poor organisation from the hotel as they’d not even tried to put any guests who were arriving later on that day in our room nor did they offer us the use of another room for the rest of the day.

but then you have to deal with poor service (you can't even make a phone call from your room), the location out of town that forces you to walk under the sun a lot, and a terrible breakfast in the morning.

The only negative point for us in Fira was the poor donkeys going up and down the 500 odd steps that takes you up the cliff side from the port.

The only negative we would say is about the food, breakfast was a poor standard with eggs bacon etc just so over cooked.

Being from Melbourne Australia don’t even get me started about the poor excuse for coffee at breakfast - only one choice & from a machine -some sort of coloured water.

Room amenities are poor with no coffee and tea or even tissues available.the air conditioner in our room was old and noisey.

Breakfast was poor, they serve every day same food, restaurant is not very big

but one of the managers gave us a poor first impression.

The orange juice and coffee were very poor quality and for most of our holiday we didn't bother at all with the breakfast.

Usual breakfast items, awful coffee, poor choice of tea, milk always had ran out.

Hotel staff always very smiley and  helpful,  and the resort and rooms were always super-clean.

Rooms are very clean and is done so everyday, overall no complaints and highly recommend for families especially.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, in particular the check in process and ladies during the check in process who offered recommendations and suggestions for our stay, and our driver (who was organised to pick us up from the port both at the beginning/end of our stay).

A special thank you to Stavroula and Christina from the reception team for enhancing our stay experience with your constant guidance.

She gave us with an abundance of information on where to dine, what places to visit and some recommendations on beaches that were not even marked on the map.

Giving us advice on boat tours, making our way to the centre, helping us book restaurants, arranging travel.

The people were extremely friendly and the hostess gave us amazing recommendations for day trips.

Thanks to their advice we took the opportunity to book a private cruise. Fantastic!

The staff is friendly, kind and always at our disposition if we need some advices or info.

From the cocktails in the pool bar created by Odyseas to all the restaurant and activity recommendations from George, who is the owner/manager of the property.

From personal concierge vans to the ability to send a WhatsApp for restaurant recommendations and dinner reservations, we left feeling refreshed and satisfied with every part of our stay.

Special mention to Georgios (the owner), Elena, Mackayla and Georgios who made recommendations, were patient with our less than stellar time keeping (9 women getting ready takes time), our extra long breakfasts and told us funny and interesting stories about the island's development in recent years.

George from the hotel picked us up from the airport and provided us direct access to our room after a long day of travel and ensured that we had the perfect experience throughout the trip which included the best advise and tips for ensuring our trip was one we would remember for a lifetime.

They were happy to help with any questions about the island and gave very good advice where to go and what to see.

Along with the villa itself being very nice, clean and modern, the staff were great and always willing to help out offering recommendations and to book us into various tours and restaurants.

He was full of suggestions and recommendations as to the best things to do around the island and anything we needed he was always happy to accomodate.

He made restaurant and beach recommendations and even told us to visit a winery found in underground caves.

George was very helpful and gave us great recommendations on what to do/see and where to eat.

George has tons of amazing recommendations and we felt so lucky to have his help during our trip.

He provided us with his personal contact details in the event we were lost or needed help, he gave us recommendations for things to do in the whole of Santorini, he had contacts for quad bikes and was even able to reserve us tables at some of Oia's most beautiful cliff facing restaurants.

He even went as far as to provide us with his personal mobile in the event that we were lost or just needed some recommendations and or assistance while we were out.

The main pool area is beautiful and Katsaboo serves excellent food all day long.

You have some really great views from the main pool area across the sea.

Everything about this place is beautiful, the hotel rooms, the pool areas, the food, the drinks, the shisha, I honestly can’t think of a single thing to even comment on.

Katsaboo Restaurant (inside in the Private Pool Area) holds an surprise.

The hotel is lovely , as are the pool areas and the staff are fantastic.

The two pool areas are so lovely, a relaxed ambience with the most helpful and friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure you’re well looked after!!!

The pool area and garden is simply stunning and cannot wait to go back to see in person their new pool they have built over the winter.

First impressions on entering the hotel are great with the 2 stunning pool areas.

Our stay was amazing - the room was sparkly clean and beautiful, the pool areas were so nice.

We loved George, his staff and the FABULOUS beach pool area.

Rooms were nice and the pool areas were gorgeous and comfortable.

Our room had access to the pool area, a very nice terrace where we’ve spent most of our evenings, the bathroom looked great and so was the room, both built in the same cycladic style.

There is also a wonderful pool area and bar that was very relaxing!

The hotel, pool area, grounds were all immaculate.

The rooms and pool area were always impeccable, and the attention to detail in the overall decor is evident as soon as you step onto the property.

We requested a pick up from the port and was picked up in one of their own vehicles (unlike quite a few other hotels who send taxis) check in was straight forward and we were shown some points of interest on the map by the friendly receptionist.

They also offer shuttles to and from the port and airport for good price.

They offer private transportation to/from the port and the airport.

but it was no problem for Elena to arrange a late pick up from the port.

George ( one of the many that work there) picked us up from the port with a shining smile eager to recommend some pretty amazing places to check out.

Staff provided us transportation to and from the port.

We found the hotel easy to drive to from the port and there was plenty of parking.

The hotel offers a shuttle service from the port which I would highly recommend as the port is chaotic and busy.

They even offer free transport to the hotel from the port / airport.

We arranged our transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port for the ferry.

When we first booked the hotel, we got an email shortly after saying that someone could pick us up from the ferry port.

They pick u up at the airport or port with a good price.

They picked us up from the port and gave us a ride to the airport when we checked out.

We arrived in Santorini on the ferry and the staff here offered to pick us up from the port, without disclosing a price (we figured that this service could easily be free since it was a 10-minute drive).

They even picked me up from the airport and took me to the ferry port.

From the minute we were picked up from the Port we knew we were in for a great stay.

even though the hotel driver operates 9-9 we were there late and Giorgos the owner was kind enough to come pick us up from the port.

He gave us a transfer to and from the port and told us about all the great places to see and things to do.

Very nice hotel, spotlessly clean rooms with styly decor and lovely , helpful reception staff.

The room was clean and comfortable with a very big double bed and we were lucky to have a sea view which was perfect to watch the sunrise.

One "suite" (really just a room) was much smaller than the others and had a very small bathroom with a tiny shower that leaked all over the bathroom.

The shower was so small I could not even turn around without hitting my back on the tap that was sticking out.

The bathroom was very tight, and the curtain for the extremely small shower space didn't really stop the water from turning it into a wet room.

But no sea view, a little bit small bathroom, and no free breakfast.

but the bathroom was tiny and the shower is comically small.

although the shower is small and needs to be held while showering.

The only area of improvement would be a shower curtain, as its a small bathroom, everything gets wet without curtain.

but pricey and some locals explained to us they felt the cruise liner visitors flooding the small town were spoiling the atmosphere and ramming up prices for other visitors as all shops and restaurants compete.

but bathroom is really tiny and we had cold showers few times.

but we are not accostumed to go to modern hotels with a rather small toilet.

If I could say anything negative at all would be that the bathroom was small

Though the bathroom was very small, you are basically facing the washbasin while sitting on the toilet bowl.

Breakfast in the hotel was excellent 👌 room was a bit small

The following day, we were not informed we had to move back to the tiny room.

The rooms are tiny for the cost and the bed is like sleeping on a rock.

The room was tiny, the best part about it was the shower and the bathroom.

After my friend left I got moved to a smaller room on the second floor, the room was tiny

3) The rooms are small, and depending on what room you get, you may or may not be able to walk by your friend on your way to the bathroom.

However our room was small, basic and definitely not one in the photos.

The window in the bathroom had a screen over it and could not be closed, not a big issue

Make sure to keep windows closed at night so they won't enter.

I was disappointed in the room itself, which had no window!

but there was no shower curtain so you have to be really careful with the spray or else you'll be rinsing off the entire bathroom like we did the first time we used it.

5) Bathroom shower does not have a shower curtain unless you make a mess and the cleaning lady takes pity on you.

but surely they can do something about the shower curtain.

It has no windows at all, so you can experience some claustrophobia.

Cons:
- Sparse room decor + fluorescent lights (or what seemed like fluorescent lights) + no windows (the doors had windows

Just one thing: sort out that shower curtain George.

but the shower curtain had to go..It was better open!!

but no curtain or fans, so they do fog up easily.

Shower pressure is great. Just expect the entire bathroom to be wet after a shower since there is no shower curtain (I would leave dry clothes outside.)

The bathroom was tiny…at least the shower stall included a shower curtain, not always to be found in Greece.

If there is any complaint to be had it would be that the bathroom was good without being great, the smallish shower with draw curtain could probably be improved

I also had to keep the windows closed at night to try to shut out the noise of cars and motorcycles from the road (and was only partially successful).

Only negatives would be the shower had no pressure and temperature of water was sporadic, and curtains were thin and let a lot of light in - making it hard to have a sleep in!

but at least it had a shower curtain unlike many much more expensive hotels in Europe that we stayed in.

The pool is a beautiful place to relax and chill, plenty of beds and a lovely setting
Location wise, it's perfect, 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants, 1 min from the local bus stop.

The hotel is in a great location as it's close to everything, bars, restaurants, shops, 24hr bakeries, the beach and bus stops.

There is a bus stop outside the bar next door, if you wish to visit the island.

Everything is close by, restaurants, beach, patisserie, bus stop all within minutes.

The hotel is in an excellent location for restaurants, bars, shops and the beach, with the bus stop seconds away.

It’s just a five minute walk to the restaurants and bars, and the bus stop is just next door.

The location is fab - 5 minute walk from the beach, surrounded by bars and restaurants, super close to a mini market and a bus stop literally next door which takes you directly into Thira or Oia or anywhere else across the island.

It is right beside a bus stop with links to all the major places in Santorini.

but both are easily reached by the local bus which stops outside the hotel.

The location of the Zorzis is good in that it is a short 5 min walk to the beach and lots of restaurants,  it also has a bus stop almost right outside for buses to Oia/Thira etc.

This hotel is conveniently located in the little town of Perissa - close to the beach front and the restaurants, a 24-hour bakery and a bus stop to Thira.

Local transport is inexpensive with a bus stop very near.

The bus stop to Fira is next door outside Bob’s Bar.

Location is excellent- close to good restaurants, 5-7 min walk to the beach and just few meters from bus stop which takes you everywhere.

but overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Santorini as its got a bus stop literally a 1 minute away with a regular and cheap bus service into the town of Fira.

The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and there’s a variety of places to eat nearby.

Lots of quality restaurants, a nice beach and a bus stop near the hotel so you can get to anywhere on the island.

There is a bus stop on the road outside the hotel which takes you to Fira and Oia, cheaper than a taxi and a way to travel with the locals.

Location is near perissa black sand beach & nearby bus stop to go to other parts of the island.

The local bus stops just along from the hotel and makes the whole island accessible with fares very cheap.

The hotel is immaculate, the pool area is spotlessly clean, the gardens are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious.

The pool and jacuzzi are lovely and surrounded by Hiroko's beautiful garden.

The hotel itself was very clean and tidy aswell as the room I had (room 10) which had aircon, fridge, shower room, tv and a balcony looking out towards the garden and mountains.

The quiet pool area and surrounding garden is our favourite part.

but wants a relaxed experience in beautiful garden surroundings around one of the nicest swimming pools in the resort.

It is a small ten room hotel, adults only, always immaculately clean both inside and outside, beautiful floral garden and swimming pool that is cleaned daily, with a fantastic view at the back overlooking the mountain.

It's got a large pool with spa pools in the rear garden area  , plenty of loungers 
And is a place of tranquility .

To chill in evenings with a Mythos or 2.

It is extremelly clean, well maintained and has beautifull mix of greek and japan garden.

The gardens and beautiful flowers looked after by Hiroko are just amazing and were in full bloom when we were there.

Whilst she tends the beautiful manicured garden and fruit trees, Spiros ensures the pool water and Jacuzzi area are clear spotless.

There is a lovely pool area and a verandah all set in beautiful gardens.

The continental breakfast was delicious and the decor is stunning in the hotel ,with beautiful, well-tended gardens.

Spiros & HIroko who run the hotel are the most perfect hosts the hotel and gardens are so clean , such a pretty garden and as you enter the hotel you are greeted with the most amazing fragrance , both Spiros & HIroko  are so attentive

Finally, the property is surrounded by a beautiful flower garden and swimming pool with Jacuzzi for moments of relaxation. Recommended!!!!!!

The pool area is lovely and calm and quiet with plenty of sun loungers and surrounded by beautiful  flowers.

but also how immaculate every part of the hotel is, from pool area, decor and how well maintained the property is.

If you don't want to venture far the pool area awaits and has stunning mountain views.

The hotel and pool area are spotlessly clean.

This hotel is spotless with a great pool area and the best hosts you could wish for.

The pool area is simply stunning - overlooking the mountains, it's often only us out there (our favourite spot under the fig tree).

The pool area is peaceful with plenty of sun loungers and a jacuzzi and a great sun trap.

The pool area is again beautifully maintained with lovelly plants and flowers all around.

The pool area was huge and generally had only us and another couple there each day,  so lovely and quiet.

From the moment you arrive their mission is to make sure you enjoy to our stay and acquaint your with all the island has to offer - which is a lot as well as the hotel amenities which includes the lovely secluded pool area.
