It was amazing hotel and full of facilities like the swimming pools, full continental breakfast and close to town!

This is a beautiful hotel, we loved the pools and breakfast was delicious.

On a whole I would definitely stay here again, our room was right outside a pool and there are 3 large pool areas so you can relax in peace. Bravo!

The El Greco is one if the larger hotels in Fira with nice rooms, good breakfast , decent facilities and fantastic pools with sufficient day beds after sightseeing on a hot day.

We had a ground floor pool facing room 519, great room and location.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and the pools are great.

No problem at finding a sunbed any time of the day in the many pools that are there.

It has many pools, most rooms ground level with one of pools.

We had several afternoon meals at the pool bar, always generous portions and very tasty, and the cocktails were excellent!

The 5 Pools are clean and plenty of sunbeds at each (you do have to get up early to reserve) Breakfast was a good choice

Excellent food, excellent clean rooms, amazing pools, spacious, friendly polite staff, location perfect for sunsets and 5 minute walk into lively Fira where there’s a maze of little passageways with an abundance of shops restaurants bars and spectacular views.

We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool.

Our room, overlooking a pool, was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean.

In our staying at El Greco everything was great: amazing staff, an incredible sightseeing of the sunset, large family room, 5 min walk to Fira, several pools, etc.

Amazing resort with so many pools, located in a very good area with all the shops just down the road.

All in all I would say the El Greco resort is more like a poor three star hotel, it’s probably great for the international guest who are only staying two nights whilst they island hope

The quality of the breakfast is poor, bordering on awful.

The buffet breakfast had a poor selection..

however the beds are only double and very hard the pillows are even worse very poor quality nice big shower in the room.

Finally, room servicing was poor as I had a glass of water on my first night that continued to sit there not replaced or cleaned all the way until the last night.

To me I think this is really disappointing as clearly this is poor organisation from the hotel as they’d not even tried to put any guests who were arriving later on that day in our room nor did they offer us the use of another room for the rest of the day.

but then you have to deal with poor service (you can't even make a phone call from your room), the location out of town that forces you to walk under the sun a lot, and a terrible breakfast in the morning.

The only negative point for us in Fira was the poor donkeys going up and down the 500 odd steps that takes you up the cliff side from the port.

The only negative we would say is about the food, breakfast was a poor standard with eggs bacon etc just so over cooked.

Being from Melbourne Australia don’t even get me started about the poor excuse for coffee at breakfast - only one choice & from a machine -some sort of coloured water.

Room amenities are poor with no coffee and tea or even tissues available.the air conditioner in our room was old and noisey.

Breakfast was poor, they serve every day same food, restaurant is not very big

but one of the managers gave us a poor first impression.

The orange juice and coffee were very poor quality and for most of our holiday we didn't bother at all with the breakfast.

Usual breakfast items, awful coffee, poor choice of tea, milk always had ran out.

We also ate at the buffet on our first night, everything was so tasty.

A short walk into Fira for shopping, eateries and picking up your bottled water,

It was unclear what the dining options were - apparently there is a dinner place

Food was good and cleaning team was also very helpful.

Food offering is reasonable - what you would expect for a 4 star hotel in Greece and you will not go hungry.

Most important thing for us was the amazing friendly staff especially the bar and restaurant staff who were so professional and never stopped and still continued to be so friendly.

Pool bar and food very good, excellent service.

Even more expensive than the best bars and restaurants in town.

Our room was great and the food was excellent.

It was about a 30 minute walk to town where the shops and restaurants were located.

but it was actually the nicest meals we had during our stay in Santorini, so it was definitely worth the little extra.

The food was good and something for everyone.

but they have a restaurant and bar and room service until midnight for lazy nights.

We went out for evening drinks and meals in either Fira or oia .

The lunches around the pool are good, expensive though,

The room is good for us and comfortable for resting !

Our room was a good size for a couple and we liked the addition of chairs on the balcony to sit out before dinner.

Our room was very generously sized with good facilities and was absolutely spotless.

These were probably the most reasonably priced rooms.

First of all this is a very lovely resort within  easy walking distance to Thira (5 minutes walk)  Our room was very comfortable and clean with lots of storage space.

Rooms are cleaned daily to highest standards.

Hotel staff always very smiley and  helpful,  and the resort and rooms were always super-clean.

There are tours available for purchase at the Concierge and Maria is amazing !!

So clean, all staff were lovely, food was great.

All the staff we came across were fantastic and the whole place is kept very clean.

The concierge Maria was so helpful and kind so shoutout to her!

We had one interaction with a front desk person who was very snarky.

Fantastic resort, warm and friendly staff, wonderful concierge Maria, terrific front desk staff Anna, very helpful HK team and wonderful F&B.

Staff at breakfast generally very pleasant and helpful.

Special mention to Maria who went above and beyond for us, helping us arrange our transfer to the airport as we were struggling due to the language barrier on the phone.

The staff are very friendly and the bar is an excellent setting.

The staff at the hotel were always polite and helpful.

All the staff were friendly and helpful especially The Concierge Maria who was super helpful and friendly.

Overall the best part of the travel was the friendly staff who was always there to help.

On a positive note the Staff in the main restaurant are great, really good and attentive.

She is a great asset for your organization.

But the absolute best thing about this hotel without any doubt is the fantastic staff.

Hotel staff were great esp Maria and cleaners were very friendly,breakfast was great and lots of choice.overall a great place to stay.

10 min walks to town for other sightseeing.

The hotel is also a 5/10 minute walk from the bus station, we went to Oia and it was €1.60 to get there, buses are very regular.

It is in a great location, a short walk into Fira.

The walk to town is quick and there’s a sidewalk.

Things to do:
If you are fit, do the walk along the Caldera View from Fira to Oia - it took us 1 hour 40,

The hotel location is 15 minutes walk from the centre of Fira.

It is located a short easy walk into Fira Central.

It is close enough to town that its is a pleasant walk to the restaurants

Fira is a 10min walk where you get the buses to all over the island and so cheap so would advise to get buses wherever you go perrissa has a good beach quite quiet in the evening ,kamari also has a beach

The sunset views from the bars, restaurants and walk ways in Fira are stunning- our favourite was from the Atlantis Hotel Terrace/Cafe bar- as mentioned in a previous review- thank you!

A 10 minute walk to a decent AB supermarket.

There was plenty to do nearby and we also walked to Fira.

The location is excellent if you don’t mind a short 5 mins walk along a busy road into the heart of the action in Fira.

The custodial team did an incredible job by continually keeping the grounds and our room clean.

-	Our room was spacious, clean and minimal.

And more than the room was the impeccable service, from the bar to the breakfast (which was so delicious, we looked forward to it daily), to the spa, and the front desk - the staff were so friendly and helpful and made our experience absolutely dreamy.

The hotel grounds were very clean with beautiful plants and flowers and there is a distant view of the sea.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and so spacious!

This is a beautiful and a super clean hotel with excellent  customer service.

The hotel was very clean, had wonderful facilities, the food and drinks were great, the location is perfect too, a short 5 minute walk to the centre of Fira so you can enjoy the main hub of Fira

Stunning and immaculate hotel with spacious rooms.

The rooms are large and immaculately clean with great showers amazing toiletries, there’s a lovely large main pool with plenty of towels and sun beds and towels.

The property is gorgeous and our room was immaculate.

The hotel is stunning with very beautiful furniture and has very clean and big swimming pool.

Only negatives: 
The pool was unheated and too cold for swimming in October.

Mix of hot and cold breakfast with a Greek twist.

but there was plenty selection from cold meat to full English and American respectively.

If you go during the beginning of May it does get cold at night

Breakfast is served in the lower ground floor of the hotel, and whilst there was a wide range of hot and cold food available, we just had to go for the views.

but very cold, a little heating would have been nice as it is October so the water doesn’t get chance to warm up.

Beware the water is cold and the ladders leading to the pool need to be secured much better.

Pity that both the main pool and the private pool are not temperature  controlled so no one actually used them for a swim at this time of The year when it was still cold.

although we couldn't use it much because of rain and cold water.

We called and asked if it could be hotter and they said the max temperature it can reach was about 30° C (about 86° F), which is way too cold for a hot tub.

but it was so so cold and I struggled to lift myself up the side to get out!

but also so cold that is sometimes unusable also in August, this is not what happened at Astro palace), the room plenty of space, distributed on 2 floors, the bed was comfortable with attention to details.

though was that the shower goes cold to scolding hot constantly.

but was still nice during the day (it was too cold to swim at night when we went, but probably better in mid to late summer).

but we had to call and get it “fixed”/“opened.” The water was extremely cold and was a little disappointing we couldn’t enjoy it.

Think a couple extra little touches would have made it a 5 star rating such as heated private pools (I went in October and it was too cold to use which was a bit disappointing) and a better shower/ bigger bath.

but my friends who had jacuzzis said they were cold and couldn't use them, which would have been very annoying had I paid for a room with one.

The room we had (the honeymoon) was fabulous, very spacious with 2 basins and 2 showers.

We stayed at Astro Palace for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time.

however when we arrived at 13:30 we were made to feel lucky our honeymoon suite room was ready for us.

My wife and I went on honeymoon and stayed here and it was a fantastic place to stay 

The staff treated us really well and made some excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants 

The hotel facilities were superb and the food great (especially the shrimp)

The rooms, the pool, the food, the staff, the setting, the location were just perfect.

Our room was beautiful, and had its own private pool and hot tub.

Thankfully the jacuzzi was heated and wonderfully warm!

The room was big and I had a huge pool outside my room.

The pool area was huge with plenty of loungers and umbrellas.

Pool was good and always sun beds available, which were very comfortable.

The pool area was clean and comfortable and never over crowded, it has a bar so you can eat and drink by the pool throughout the day.

The pool area gave me the best sunrise every morning.

The hotel pool area has a really nice vibe and is so relaxing.

The team on reception were super helpful and friendly, organising restaurants, trips and recommendations for us, the pool and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful too.

The hotel itself is beautiful and our jacuzzi room at the side of the hotel was perfect.

We were 3 girls on a Santorini trip and stayed 3 nights here in an Executive Suite with its own private pool!

We were given a beautiful room with a private pool and a jacuzzi on the roof.

It had a balcony off the huge room AND a private roof top deck with lounge chairs, umbrella and jacuzzi.

Nevertheless the rest of the staff were great aswell,  everyone always had a smile all the time, the recommendations were on point especially with the private tour.

We enjoyed the private pool , as well as the bar by the main pool.

The private suite I stayed in was beautiful and super clean.

Organised our boat trip, and a private driver for a whistle stop tour of the island .

Great facilities- a main pool and selected rooms with private pools or a jacuzzi-

but the room we are staying in is amazing and the staff have been so atentive letting us use a private rooftop with a jucuzzi and swim up pool.

They gave us fantastic, recommendations for authentic restaurants (and then booked them for us) organised a very reasonable car hire and even offered to upgrade our room when they found out we were celebrating a birthday (which wasn’t really needed as we already had a room with a private pool!).

They also arranged a private day-cruise and a rental car for us!

We had an Executive Suite with private pool.

We had one with a private pool and it was a delight to spend time in, even on a rainy day.

We were delighted to see our room, a gorgeous modern, clean, light & airy space with an added bonus of a private pool with sunbeds.

The staff also helped us book a private boat trip for two to see the magnificent coastline of the island which was well worth it and very reasonably priced relative to what's available online.

We got a free room upgrade with a private pool and as you can expect the room was IMMACULATE.

Excellent advise on places to visit and eat.

The rooms are all very spacious and well kept; the food is very good at a reasonable price.

As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted and provided with recommendations of what to do/where to eat in Santorini.

The food at breakfast and at the restaurant was delicious, featuring some of the best Greek food and plenty of options.

Great suggestions on where to visit and where to eat from the staff too.

Lunch and dinner at the pool side restaurant were of incredible quality and so delicious!

The area came with plenty of furniture – loungers plus a table and chairs to eat around if you wanted to.

The food was expectional especially the papardele with beef.

Let me mention the food, it is perfect food , please try specilaity Fava and shrims… I will visit again.

Pool bar guys were great and you could eat at outside tables if you wanted.

The staff were fantastic and the food was delicious.

Had an amazing time great hospitality and service food was amazing.

We rented an ATV (quad bike) for the day and this was our highlight as we drove to Oia and wondered through the town before driving down to Kamari and Perivolos (big recommendation for Seaside the restaurant there) we did that in one day easily and allowed us to see so much more of the island, the cost was only €60 for 24hrs and we spent €10 on petrol.

We originally booked a superior double room, which would have suited our needs perfectly,

It was an amazing room - comfortable bed, beautiful furniture, nice bathroom.

We stayed in the Royal Suite and the room was unreal, incredible shower.

I had such an amazing experience the staff were phenomenal and very tentative the room was beautiful and room service made sure it stayed that way.

Our room was nice, it had all the amenities you would need, each day our room was cleaned and towel art was left which was lovely!

I must mention our housekeeping lady for room 223. she was the sweetest too.

We were treated to a free room upgrade for a first few nights which was amazing for my fiancés 30th birthday.

Finally, we had an incredible time at the Aegeo Spas.

We also tried to book a spa treatment as we had read reviews on how wonderful they were
