The location was absolutely perfect and the views were incredible. The breakfast seemed a bit pricey

The restaurant provided a delicious dinner and there was a nice bar with billiard table.

Both dinner in the Bistro and breakfast on the terrace in the morning were good and convenient.

Breakfast is self service also - lots to choose from if no one has already handled.

Lot of parking place, super friendly personnel, nice and very clean rooms, walking distance from the beach of Etretat, scenic views from the location and a very very good breakfast.

The breakfast buffet was very good as was the restaurant.

Breakfast on the Terrace was a delight with a good selection.

The breakfast was nice, and was a good addition given the main town is a bit of a walk from the hotel.

but for the room itself, it is absolutely overpriced.

Although positioned in the range of higher priced hotels we found it value for money.

The only letdowns were the waiters at the outside bar who managed to completely ignore us twice during the stay and the very expensive

Also as it was an expensive room, we would have expected the toilet to be in a separate cubicle.

but not as nice as some of my other experiences for half the price.

The rooms are a little outdated and could use a refresher to match the room rate.

but very expensive at €144 for two people.

but there was no decent WiFi in the room- it was a waste of time…….at this price point in this day and age it is not acceptable to have crap WiFi that keeps logging off and is weak strength.

Nice rooms and there is parking around the hotel ( kinda tricky, always fully parked and you have to be lucky to find a spot) 

Like i said the hotel is on a hill, so the entrance road is steep, curvy and small

The breakfast is average and the breakfast location is way too small for this size hotel and its also too expensive.

However food was very very bad, dinner and breakfast, and we paid a handsome fee for that.

but the food did not match it as was very basic, poor and not that tasty at all for the price, would avoid and go in to town, but look at TripAdvisor before entering as a lot of bad places in town.

There is a three tired, fixed price menu, each progressively a bit more expensive, each with limited choices.

Drink prices in the hotel were very high, 9.20euro for a coffee and a tea.

But I strongly advise you book in advance and get a room with a sea-side view, the price difference vs a room with no view is quite low.

The breakfast was very good, once we asked it to be served at our room.

Breakfast buffet had a maid of cold and some hot food.

We went in February, it was cold and little bit snow,

but some revolting French cold meat which had been reheated - despite there being a supermarket 100 yards away WHICH SELLS REAL BACON !

Only downside was the cost of breakfast - 16 euros for a cold buffet.

The room was cold, sterile and extremely weird with regard to the furniture.

The hotel it is on the port , it is more a business like place, not charming,  rather a cold.

but not now ,was not looking for a refund but a credit towards a future visit .

We had to leave early due to a business crisis and the man did everything he could to make this possible without charging us for the full stay.

Free parking was available in a small lot behind the hotel, or for a 12 euro charge per day in the hotel's underground lot.

Some people, on the other hand, might prefer the checking in experience to be confined to  being given the basic information required and to be given a key card.

We also found quite a few places - restaurants and businesses - closed due because we were there in Sept which is after the main tourist season is over.

but a bit noisy inside due to thin walls, not far from the beach and from the park with bars and clubs.

So we were left in a stiflingly hot and muggy room due to the unexpected warm weather, and couldn't leave the door to the balcony open overnight due to the noise from the road below.

Street parking can be tricky, due to the location,

Breakfast was a well-stocked buffet with lots of choice, good coffee on demand, and served till 11.

even though I know very little French, and their breakfast food was very good.

But it's comfortable and the breakfast is really good for this hotel category.

We had breakfast (9 euros) which offered and array of breads/rolls, yogurts, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, coffee, tea.

Credit should be definitely given to the original decor, reasonable breakfast and helpful personnel.

Good beds, good breakfast, central location, friendly staff and good value.

but the breakfast has a varied buffet and the bed is very confortable with clean white sheets.

Especially the breakfast room is nice , he thought if a nice playing area for kids as well.

There was a really good breakfast offered With the usual pastries, fruit juice and coffee as well as ham, cheese, yogurt and fruit.

Overall, we were content having stayed here for the night because of the pleasant staff, good breakfast and interesting theme.

On the positive side, breakfast was good value compared to if you ate out, and the location is ideal, with the beach and restaurants being only a few minutes walk away.

In the morning, we chose to eat breakfast at 8€ per person and we were stuffed by the time we left.

Breakfast on the next day was good, with tea, coffee, milk, croissants, fruits, etc.

the staff are very helpful, the proprietor helped with our bags up the stairs, the breakfast fresh and the price very reasonable for such a lovely resort.

There is no elevator in the hotel so if you do have issues with stairs, this is not the place for you.

we lived on level 3.. which was a good exercise to climb as there is no elevator.

We are older people so we're surprised we were not told they did not have a lift.

Back to the hotel, no lift so beware if three serious flights of stairs are a problem, or ask for a room on a lower floor.

The owner/receptionist was extremely helpful and nice- he even carried our (very heavy) bags all the way up four flights of stairs.

The concierge (she may be the owner, not sure) insisted on carrying my suitcase up the two flights of stairs which was above and beyond.

but the staff carries your bags up the stairs if you wish.

If you have heavy luggage, mind the stairs.

We found our way up the stairs by ourselves, and entered the room.

We asked for fried eggs and were each served two unappetizing over-greased eggs floating in cooking oil.

Breakfast was a treat - get the scrambled eggs if you like them done the creamy French way.

There was much jostling amongst other guests to get to the fairly standard fare and no staff in evidence to order the eggs ( any way you want them).

They have good breakfast and esp i liked the Hotel interiors.

but we don't need mediocre coffee before breakfast.

but quality was inconsistent (old bread, overcooked eggs, coffee not strong enough vs excellent cakes) , and staff was not focused (too slow replenishment, calling by phone while serving).

On the first morning, we could not be served coffee.

We had to ask 3 times to get some warm milk (but it was a common problem also for the other tables).

Even when coffee was ordered we had to hunt for someone to bring some warm milk.

but were charged for it and had to ask for it to be remved from the bill and although there was a kettle in our room there was no coffee, when I asked why it seems we needed to be in a junior suite to get coffee !

Oh and for the coffees to be charged as an extra 5€ on an expensive menu like this was the final straw.

We had to unplug a lamp or the coffee machine to find a plug for charging a laptop and phone.

2) We asked to plug our smartphone to charge it and they said no (we had the cable and the charger, we just needed to plug the phone) 
3) We asked for gluten free bread and they did not any left
4) The cheese platter was extra thin not even 30 grams of cheese for the entire plate, they cut cheese as thin as a piece of paper - no joke, you can’t even taste it 
We paid 160 euros for two people including simply one glass of wine, tap water. Joke.

On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite at no extra charge which was a lovely surprise.

To my surprise, I was charged €100 on my credit card which I used to book the hotel.

Certainly not worth the extra charge of 14 euros .

but worth it for a short stay.Do check the bill - we got charged for breakfast which we didn't have.

Other than some empty space behind the bed, there is no place to store one's clothes, keys, phone, etc.

Very disapointed on also on rude call about this cancelation.

but so over stocked with furniture that you couldn't open the wardrobe and there was little space (no phone or safe) and the shower was over the bath but you'd have had to have been less than 4ft tall to stand under it.

I reserve with booking.com and when I call back they rise the price for the room.

though booking by phone for those who do not speak French might be a little more risky - written confirmation would be advisable.

At this price point, we were very disappointed to find we had a tub and no shower.

Depending on the building the rooms vary in style/ lightness and in prices.

We raised these issues with the reception and were compensated for the price of our first breakfast.

but even at the discounted price one expects certain basic standards.

The serious negative, and the reason for the "average mark" is that I booked my room early with the hotels.com site, and realized that I paid TWICE the price advertised the day before.

The evening meal experience was not comfortable or relaxed with a confusing menu without prices.

My complaint is not with the food, nor its price,

The receptionist even added "well, we thought you had not replied because the room might have been too expensive for you", which I found offensive.

though our visit started out a bit rough with them having no record of our paid reservation, the host was gracious and kind (although rightfully frustrated).

It's not included in the price of the room and to be quite honest was rubbish .

Now I have to admit that in this expensive range of price, as other reviewers pointed out, you would expect more attention to details from the staff at the reception or breakfast.

It was the most expensive of our entire Normandy trip,

But there is currently a lack of attention to detail which would enable it to justify the price tag.

Room prices are perhaps a bit on the expensive side, specially considering that breakfast was not included.

If we were being picky the only thing that could be improved is the curtains have string hanging off them, the frosted glass of the en suite has lots of fingers marks and I had a towel with a clump of someone else's hair stuck to it.

There aren't any drawers or wardrobes in the room.

The hotel has no elevator and no parking.

Beware if your on the top floor there is no lift and taking a heavy suitcase to the top could be knackering!

The only negative was that there is no lift, so lugging heavy suitcases up the winding staircase was quite a feat.

Only drawback is that there is no elevator so watch out if you carry any bag as there is no bell man.

We sent to have a pastis, and Wagners to order Dinner, 30 min kateter just paid and left for another Resto as we got no Attention at all to order anything more
But; the rooms were small and the bed was really really small and hard.

but was cramped and had little storage space and a tiny shower room.

For two people there isn't much free space.

Very good breakfast with a couple hot items and plenty of rolls, breads and cold meats, fish and yogurts.

- expensive breakfast – we preferred to go to the numerous restaurants instead, which are only 5 minutes away.

It is a real shame, as the hotel is really lovely: clean room, nice old-fashioned style, lovely staff, good organic breakfast and great location, right in the centre and 5 mn walk to the sea.

The 'hot' chocolate would be delicious if it was actually hot!!

An excellent breakfast was included in the price, and the price itself was very fair.

Continental breakfast (croissant, fresh bread, juice, yoghourt; tea/coffee) for just 8 euros each.

The hotel is in a quiet location and a few minutes walk to the beach, the breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful, we would definitely return to this hotel.

With two kids, age 8 and 9, it was like a little fairytale.

As we having a baby , we have to go out and look for hot water outside the hotel.

Our stay was for one night on a motorcycle tour of France and Spain with 2 adults and 2 boys.

The "beach" is stony with no sand so not the best for children.

Back to the hotel; our room was small  and the "ensuite" facilities were cramped

The room was basic - slightly worn, no mini-fridge, spotty internet -

but somehow we managed to get our room key and got the massage that in the evening the reception is not being maned up and you have to use a pin code to access the main door.
