A friend and i went to a wedding in Witbank and the ANEW hotel Witbank was accommodating for our early check in request, staff was very friendly and helpful, room was very clean, keep up the good work!

Gardens are well kept and always looking clean.

An everage hotel wich was clean and comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and their rooms were clean.

I was blown away with the tidiness and cleanliness of the hotel.

The hotel is very neat and clean and affordable.

Place is well situated and very clean and almost private, especially the extended wing where I stayed.

Concerning the room,it was clean and very decent.

The hotel is phenomenal,if you want a peaceful night sleep,comfortable and clean rooms. .

The service I was great especially from the waiters, the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious.

The food was amazing and the venue was very neat, clean.

And we found all reservations ready prepared and it was quick to check in.the room was clean and lovely.

The pool area was clean and safe to be around.. dinning area was too perfect.

Initially they agreed and wanted us to pay a charge, we agreed to pay the charge , later they changed and said that they will buy it for us and sell it to us.

Eventually they agreed to give me the room on condition that they hold a deposit on my card for the nights rate.

They don't charge WiFi

The room I was given was great in line with being a Marriot card holder.

1. both parking should may improved 
2. room 87 bed room door should be fixed or removed 
3.  same door replace a lock 
4. may be consider have toilet separate from bath 
5. information from your staff  is always different 
6. i only get discount after a complain regardless with be a pro card member  and give different information
7. discount is not includes  drinks please can you review  as in the information never say such only those discount number while is till exclude some of items 
8.any way it was not that bad as we did enjoy 
9.manu list was so short as you always eat  almost one thing .

However I was not very impressed with the extra charge of R165 for breakfast which was charged separately onto my overall Room rate.

While checking in, i was explained of the benefits of the loyalty card.

No request is too difficult and staff add top quality service to their friendly welcome.

The staffs really friendly and can make you understand when it comes to communication.

I am planning my next trip to Witbank again after the lockdown definitely I will come back to this place, it was home away from home for me, Your receptionist was very friendly.

The names like Albert, Lucky and Lovey quickly come to my memory, what a bunch of friendly people.

Drinks at the bar were extremely expensive (R40 for a Hunter's Dry) and (R75 for a glass of wine).

We had to pay all the time as we ordered something and we couldn’t put anything on roomnumber.

though does not have a fixed price as you have to weigh and pay.

For the type of money you pay you would expect to at least get bottled water in the room.

I reach the hotel and gave the reception my prepaid confirmed booked that was done with hotels.com
They initially said that I had no booking,
Then it was that the booking is not paid for.

although slightly expensive over a weekend,

Then the following morning when were supposed to have breakfast we were told that the fee we paid was for bed only and we were under the impression that it was bed and breakfast.

but a basic nights sleep at a reasonable price.

We had to pay an extra R8.50 tax (approx $1.25), which we paid with a R100 bill (approx $15).

Good food at a reasonable price prepared promptly and with care!

Thats not all - they have even appointed a Deaf lady in their kitchen, preparing lovely meals.

I would recommend this place,  the service is excellent the food is outstanding.

Went there for Christmas lunch and was friendly welcomed by the reception staff and shown the way to the dining room to experience the delicious food that the chef had prepared From the starters to the deserts everything was so beautifully presented that you felt you did not want to disturb the presentation by dishing up your food.

Breakfast and dinner and desert was delicious the waiters and waitresses  were flexible and friendly.

The restaurant was also excellent , enjoyed the food.

The fish was slimy and the batter soggy, it was totally inedible.

Despite the fact that the room was spacious & nice and the food was good, there was a weird atmosphere in the hotel, I thought.

The rooms are modernised snd the food is up to standard.

The restaurant had one GREAT chef waitress- exceptional service that makes you feel home about service.

Coming to the restaurant they deserve 10/10 i loved the food.

The bathroom in my apartment was a treat with a large corner bath and lovely shower in a room that did not skimp on size.

I was offered a family room for an upgrade fee of R300.

I'd also love to experience a different Room though,  something more Spacious

Initially I was happy with my room, as it was more modern,  had a nicer bathroom compared to the one in the main block.

got an outside room which was more spacious than the other ones that I normally get inside.

The rooms were cleaned, received fresh towels everyday.

We booked a suite, the room was very spacious and the bathroom enormous with the added bonus of a spa bath.

The Rooms are all re-decorated and it was done with such flair.

The food they gave us running stomachs and they smelled off and looked like they were not made on the day

The toasters either only warm your bread or burn it black.

Lovely rooms just the smell of the toilets not hygiene.

Guess bathroom smell has more to do with local water supply & drainage over which protea maybe has no control.

I was given a smoking room without requesting one.

The room had nasty carpet, holes in the wall, and evidence of mold in the bathroom, definitely NOT worth the R850 (approx $125) rate.

The entire stay was disgusting and 10 people booked out and relocated to another hotel.

but the staff frequently miscommunicated.

Every request is met with a smile and a can-do attitude.

Great place to stay on rout to the Lowveld and Excellent Staff always very Helpful.

Expected a much more professional experience based on the price.

I enjoyed the stay and what a disciplined and warm young Team of Fortis.

There is almost never any water pressure.

Despite the fact that we suffered load shedding and water shortage, the hotel ensured that none of its guests were inconvenienced during the course of our stay, keep up the good service.

I wish the hotel did provide water bottles in the room, it was rather hot.

This a a very nice hotel, to me it's average because Witbank water is not clean and when i asked for bottled water I was told to go buy them myself at the nearest mall since they are not allowed to give any guests!

No bathing water in the morning and when called reception, the staff was cold and no remorse.

Aircon was leaking water on carpet and curtains.

After you took a shower, water came through the gaps in the cubicle and flooded the whole bathroom.

Room facilities can be updated, aircon working at its own sound and temperature, TV channels not working, and no fridge in room to keep cold drink or water cold.

The hotel does not have a bar fridge, no complimentary drinking bottled water in the room, aircon makes a lot of noise. .

not happy with the room I slept in, water was cold and the aircon in the room was just not working.

Not much covered parking which means your car will have condensation all over.

No aircon remote control and at lunch time someone came with a ladder to work on aircon.

Aircon not working(it's freezing cold), receptionist rude and refuses to do anything about my complaints.

I'm not normally a fan of staying in hotels like this

There is no extractor fans in the bathroom meaning there is no ventilation.

The room was very noise, I could hear the air conditioning system from the other rooms.

Sofa needs a bit of freshening up as it looks tired and there was a weird smell wafting from the toilet.

The rooms are nice and spacious! Unfortunately the shower was moldy and stains on the shower floor( it has not been scrubbed in a long time)

Showers and water are not always working.

if the hotel can add mini bar fridges in rooms, that would be exceptional after a long from a business trip and all you need is eat, shower and rest, no time to walk to the bar a get some water.

Also, the shower isn't enclosed,the water can spill over if you increase the pressure.

the hotel had no water and gave us a 1 Litre bucket for 2 people to bath and use for the loo!!

The bathroom showed a serious lack of maintenance (mould) and had no natural ventilation or extraction.

Bring your own soap and shampoo as this is not provided.

My room is filthy,marks on carpet, marks on doors, toilet filthy, dust all over, basin water blocked.

I just don't understand why there is such a small corner shower in such a huge bathroom.

There a mall across the road from the hotel, so shopping and restaurants are just next door, poor lighting in the bathrooms, needs to be addressed.

B) With all the space in the bathroom, more shelf space could be fitted to put your toiletries on.

but showers narrow and the lavabo as well.

Also, there is a unpleasant smell coming through the plumbing in the bathroom at times especially in the mornings.

shower is very small and basin is blocked by a long water sprout.

Sometimes you dont need a good marketing or Sales strategies for you business to grow substantially,  you need People who loves their Jobs and Loves People.

This hotel is average for business travelers staying one to two nights.

I will also recommend friends, families and other businesses to stay at Fortis.

I spend on average 50 nights a year in hotels all across South Africa on business, typically three or four star standard.

The place was nice and good for all sorts of business.

We went there with my colleagues for a business meeting and I must say, I was very impressed by the great service we received.

Since most of the time i come through business, that breakfast starts at 06h00 having been extended by 30 minutes it give one peace.

If you are more discerning and have a requirement for business activities and dare I say intimacy then this is the place to be for value, service and high standards in every aspect that I usually grade in my assessments.

Dinning room is the best .Security is excellent .It is situated next to the highway to Highveld mall one of the best in Witbank.5minutes to 8 minutes drive to Highveld mall .I recommend this hotel for family and business

Nice hotel situated in safe environment in Witbank (Emalahleni) especially if you are on business as it is in the CBD.

The room was clean and had everything I needed including a fridge that was supplied on request.

Friendly staff,great service,place was clean and neat ,it’s in a good location easy to find ,the food was delicious,it’s a pity there was no buffet
