The all inclusive drinks were of a decent standard and we found the one euro deposit for plastic beakers not to be a problem as we understand and appreciate the idea of being environmentally friendly.

Very disappointed this is are 3rd stay dec 29 jan 8 room 504 we always have the same room love the place staff excellent we previously went all inclusive

although it is advertised as all inclusive, it isn’t!

Food is lovely for an all inclusive so much choice your never bored .

The food was exactly what you would expect at an all inclusive, a good choice and plenty of variety.

We opted for all inclusive and I am so sorry we did.

We never saw any snacks that were free (we we’re all inclusive) & had to pay for ice creams.

however Definatly took advantage of the all inclusive bar!

but that’s always the case in 4* all inclusive hotels).

Food;  Fantastic, best all inclusive package ever.

however if you do drink the beers is Amstel in the all inclusive which is good.

We upgraded to all inclusive and unfortunately had to leave a day early, the receptionist was very helpful and printed out new flight tickets for us and even refunded our last day all inclusive charge.

I was on all inclusive option and lunch and dinner always had something to find and each day (apart from breakfast) there is always different type of  food.

The outdoor pool was clean & heated, there was plenty of sun loungers available 
A good choice of drinks was available on the all inclusive tariff.

Hotel is great well staffed clean and comfortable.

It’s a buffet style restaurant, there always something for everyone & it’s very clean.

The staff are very friendly,the hotel is spotless don't understand negative reviews,food great choices.

Hotel is clean and tidy in a lovely quiet area, with a lovely outside pool which is heated to a lovely comfortable temperature.

Defo worth going at opening times for clean tables and freshest food, and not too busy.

I am still here room 518 which is lovely and spacious and clean view beautiful.

We found the pool area not to be clean very often and ashtrays overflowing from the previous days (although we are non-smokers).

As always there’s plenty of sunbeds and the pool/area was very clean.

its a real sun trap with a very clean and pleasant pool.

Our room overlooked the pool and the sea and was very spacious, clean and well appointed (although the air conditioning left a lot to be desired).

My disabled adult daughter and myself were given an unexpected holiday when family were unable to go because of health reasons..it is a very quiet part of Tenerife

Especially Irune, as my partner and i got involved with the activities most nights of our holiday, she remembered our names, said hello to us every morning and kindly let us know the itinerary for the day and encouraged us to join in!

Tranquil and peaceful holiday, will definitely return soon

If you enjoy surfing, windsurfing or kiting El Medano is the place to go, or if you want a chilled relaxed holiday.

We really enjoyed our break at this hotel.

We loved it so much we have cancelled our September holiday in Malta and booked to return here instead in September 

Staff are wonderful, room was perfect, food great.

The room was very spacious, the food delicious and the staff amazing.All facilities are just a great fit for a relaxing holiday.

The pool bar now has a policy that you purchase for €1 a plastic tumbler or as we did we bought our own clear plastic tumblers, you do get your €1 back when you return the tumbler at the end of the holiday.

All in all we were pleasantly surprised with how lovely and relaxing this break was.

If you’re looking for only a relaxing  holiday this is the place for you.

but we knew this before coming, we hired a car from the hotel which was available to pick up right from the hotel car park which was super handy and meant we could get out and about and explore different areas of the island which made our holiday rather than if we were to just stay in the hotel all week.

The website says "It is a quiet area with a relaxed, warm and romantic atmosphere. The ideal place for a vacation where you can combine free time and relax."

What topped this holiday off was the enterainment.

When it comes to dining, the food at the resort was what you would expect from a standard holiday buffet.

Apparently that is EasyJet public relations for " welcome to Tenerife, we hope you had a pleasant flight, please make your way to bus stand 63 which is out of the left hand exit and across the bus station, where your driver is waiting to take you to your hotel. Have a nice holiday."

You can get these cleaned and changed when you want and then get your 1 Euro back when you return them at the end of your holiday.

To start, nothing about the holiday here was enough to make it a negative experience, the hotel has some great qualities,

The housekeeping was definitely poor in the rooms with our beds not being changed throughout our stay and cups and spoons rinsed and still dirty.

The food is very poor and options for vegetarians is nearly non existent.

Food in the restaurant was poor, limited choice, never hot and just low  in quality.

The food for the first 2 days was poor and would have only warranted only 2 Stars

For a hotel with nothing around this is a poor excuse for entertainment.

I have never been to a hotel with such poor service.

The chairs in the dining room were very  dirty, on a lot of tables,  with ground in food in the chairs, the entertainment  was very poor, daytime was a mixture of some pool games and darts etc.

The evening entertainment was very poor, during a music quiz the Spanish compere spoke too quickly, gave us very little time to answer and had difficulty using the machine.

When the restaurant is closed don't expect snacks from the pool bar, ice cream is chargeable as are snacks, very poor for all inclusive.

However, the drinks in the bar were very poor, they didn't even have tomato juice for a bloody mary.

Previously the food had been good, we assume this is cost cutting using very poor ingredients.

I have never before seen so much wasted food left on plates in a restaurant and don’t understand a hotel which will tolerate such poor standards of cooking.

Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel on the basis of poor food quality and windy location.,

Entertainment was very poor and limited as well, ( as I said earlier, my personnel option), also staff at this hotel are not the friendliest, (friendly when clearing plates etc, from your table, buy bar staff could be grumpy), hotel is close to airport, so good for transfers, you do hear planes overhead,

Snacks, I was directed to a vending machine when I asked about crisps, very poor for an all inclusive.

but just when everything else is so poor, this certainly does not help.

Drinks were a bit poor for 4*, gin & tonic was undrinkable unless you wanted to pay premium.

On the other hand, the choice of AI alcoholic spirits and cocktails was poor.

Oldish hotel in the middle of nowhere, poor quality food and drinks, practically no housekeeping.

The hotel is adult only during this time and as a result was quiet and relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for.

We paid 15 to use the spa jacuzzi, steam, sauna and relaxation area, one time when it was cloudy.

however if you’re wanting a nice relaxing stay away then I would 100% recommend this hotel.

My massage was so relaxing and professional.

We come to unwind and this hotel is perfect.

the hotel is situated in a very peaceful, quiet area, right on the beach.

The hotel itself is in a lovely spot for a relaxing stay.

So relaxing, so enjoyable for our first experience we've already booked to go back next August.

Its more of a relaxing holiday with a surfer chilled feel of a place so if you want to go to switch off and relax its good.

The pool area was lovely, really relaxing and a good balance of quiet and then entertainment throughout the day.

It either needs to stick to being a relaxing spa hotel, or cater to people who want to be entertained 24/7.

I will say if your idea of coming away relaxing, sunbathing and drinking by the pool all day and not wanting to visit anywhere or do anything is up your alley amd play vards on am evening and bed at 11pm then book this hotel as it is a lovely hotel, friendly, clean, big rooms,  nice enough food,

We were able to unwind and appreciate being by the sea.

But, d'ya know what, we didn't care, the hotel had it all for us, we had exactly what we needed, Adults Only, total relaxation, great food, great drinks, and Sunshine.

Decent standard of meals, in my opinion quality goes 1) lunch, 2) breakfast,3) dinner.

Absolutely super location with sea views  and super food which must please everybody.

Lots of fish restaurants and little shops to look in.

The alcoholic drinks including the cocktail are lovely with a great service from all the bar staff.

We tried the a la carte fish restaurant one night.

Lovely room, nice food, spa and pool area were incredible.

The restaurant reviews was what we was most wary about.

Alcoholic drinks, including wine are good quality and no mean measures.

Lovely welcome when we arrived and wisely advised to go straight for lunch as service was about to end.

The Hotel is excellent, the food was sublime,staff really nice and friendly,I'm really impressed with the swimming pool,

We had a great room overlooking  the bay .

The staff are very friendly and the rooms are modern and comfortable.

Rooms were adequate and can use a courtesy room on check out day which was good.

We had 3 rooms before we found one that was ok.  That’s all I can say.

The rooms were given new towels every day,

Rooms are very well designed and comfortable.

I would go back if food improved and had a different room as I like being by the  beach and walking after brekki.

but in the air con room and 27 outside .. well does it matter .

We stayed in Room 226, which was very spacious, clean, big balcony with mountain view and good size bathroom with walk in shower.

A week before we travelled we emailed the hotel to request a 5th floor room which they kindly did for us.

The room was spacious and clean with tea/coffee facilities.

however, really thrilled with a surprise bottle of champagne, left in our room on my birthday.

Friendly, professional welcome to reception.

Great hotel, it was our 3 visit, staff are friendly & helpful and even when the door to our balcony broke & the repair team were unable to sort it, we were relocated within an hour .. brilliant service.

My wife and I are both over 80 years of age and this place suits us well all the staff are so helpful with our mobility requirements - even down to bringing us drinks !!!

The staff are mostly lovely, tip them theyl turn on.

On arrival to the hotel at 9.30pm we had a stern welcome with no assistance with luggage and no refreshments.

Staff are so lovely and accommodate your every whim.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

All staff are extremely helpful, especially the bar staff which we found very accommodating and humorous.

The hotel has a strong focus on conservation, therefore we were given the option of asking for towels etc to be changed and our room to be cleaned if so desired.

NEGATIVES
The white towels in the rooms were threadbare and hard, they definitely need changing.

Staff……fantastic, all really helpful, the chocolate milk cocktail was amazing 
Cleaning…….doesn’t happen, the bed just had the sheets pulled over, never swept or mopped, bathroom never cleaned, the only thing that did happen was the towels changed.

At no point did we feel the need to go and lay our towels down before breakfast to guarantee a bed.

Not a big deal, just needs some pegs for towel on sunbed (offered in shop next door)
- The food at the buffet was hit and miss, some days it was great and some days it was very bland.

The pool is a good size, unfortunately despite the notices asking people not to reserve sunbeds, people didn’t take any notice and put their towels down at silly o’clock, which is a shame for people who do abide by the rules.

Take towel clips or buy them when you get there, you will need them to keep your towels safe and some pegs if you choose to hang any washing on your balcony, if you want to see it again.

Half the time we had no towels due to some problems with the laundry company and when you did, they were full of holes.

They do have the clips you can rent to clip towel to the pool chair and they make it easier (again another €1 as a deposit for a pair of clips needed) 

Also if you are a light sleeper and need perfect quiet to fall asleep take a earplugs with you or prepare yourself to not sleeping till around midnight.

There is a towel voucher system in place for pool towels, little bit convoluted

The towels in the bathroom are threadbare with holes in them 
I had to ask for towels as was often left 2 the size of a tea towel .

Lumpy pillows, hessian feel blankets not so good so those with sensitive skin, towels had mostly seen better days.

Towels are changed every day and pool towels changed every 2nd day.

The towels should be changed every other day

Coffee cups left , no bins in the room , towels extremely thin .

Lost count of the number of times we contacted reception for towels.

Pool towels could be changed every two days and at the bar you paid a refundable 1 euro for a plastic beaker which saves a lot on discarded plastic cups.

but we found our room wasn’t cleaned very well , for 4 star as in same towels and sheets all week and not swept at all, beds not made very well, but really the main problem was, food even though the ingredients were good, it was executed badly, the food was Luke warm and rice was hard, hard potatoes, and tasteless, such a shame, first time I’ve ever not wanted to eat somewhere, and there’s not anything close by, even the pizza was raw!

Entertainment team during the day offer a few activities such as aqua aerobics, yoga, daily cocktails etc.

but because we had a Mountain View and wanted a sea view which was accommodated for an extra  7 euro per night per person well worth it in my opinion.

Reception staff were fab and as returning guests we were upgraded and had a lovely view to the beach above the restaurant.

even though we were expecting a mountain view so that was lovely.

Just got back from a 2 week hoilday ,hotel nice staff friendly, bar staff great ,room lovely nice size sea view ,lovely old town 10 minutes walk away from hotel .Good bus route cost low ,we found people very helpful.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms, gorgeous views and a lovely quiet location with a path directly to the beach.

You must book and obtain a ticket from reception.

The hotel sells tickets to both Loro Parque (zoo) and Siam Park (water park) and a coach will pick you up from the hotel.

The free bus to Las Americas is best booked in advance and don't forget your ticket!

Everyone friendly from all the staff, the rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable.

Hotel is clean with lovely grounds & facilities.

The hotel was lovely & clean, staff were efficient and helpful.

Food was diverse, all in all lovely, staff can not be faulted impeccable service and super friendly and inviting.

The resort is spotless, the staff are friendly, polite and always helpful, the facilities are great overall and the food was good with plenty of variety.

We had the most amazing stay, the staff were all brilliant and the hotel itself was clean and absolutely amazing.

Rooms immaculate and bed was really comfy.

The room was huge and upgrading to the suite was worth it with two balconies and bathrooms and a dedicated lounge area, both kept immaculate and serviced daily by the friendly room attendant.

Let’s start with the good bits - the resort and rooms were wonderful; decor screamed modern boho vibes, rooms were open and airy, pool areas were substantial and clean.

Professional and attentive staff, good food, clean rooms.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to family & friends, the cleanliness was to a very high standard, as were the staff, food, drinks & rooms!

Food - wide variety of food, much of it local, made a meal an experience we looked forward every day.

I'll write about both experiences in this review

Firstly the hotel is stunning, the rooms, the view, the pools, the bars all are amazing  the staff work tirelessly to make your stay a fantastic one!

Generally room was cleaned while we were at breakfast which was great to come back to before heading to pool.

Rooms are beautiful and jacuzzi bath was a bonus.

Ensure you have your walking shoes on as the hotel is huge with lots to admire from the 8 swimming pools to the array of many bars all around the grounds.

Pools were beautiful, not crowded, food excellent, in a beautiful area too so if you wanted to get out and walk then you can.

Lovely hotel, great amenities, good selection of food with all inclusive (could of done with being a bit clearer on what was included in Plus) large selection of drinks, friendly staff, nice decor throughout, pools are great, pebbled beach close by & just 10 minutes away from airport

Coming to the end of a 10day stay  room's and pool area are all lovely,

We did make extensive use of the cocktails at the pool bar.

The improvements that have been made are fantastic, the rooms have been updated, a number of the areas around the pool restaurant, reception have also been updated.

While we where there they had a private wedding at the royal pool, so royal guests were moved pools for the day.

The pool bars at both pools were well kept with plenty of choice of drink.

Was able to sit by the pool till they call us.

The hotel was wonderful, the layout, staff, breakfast was great, rooms well thought out and the pools were nice.

The pools did not help, even when the weather was perfect.

There are 7 pools so plenty of sun beds about.

An adults only, a royal level, two heated, a saltwater, two baby pools and a shallow pool.

The best were the entertainment staff in the day at the pool and the evenings.

I spent all of time at the adults only pool - this is the first pool you encounter & it's really peaceful, tranquil  & the pool bar 'breeze' is close by for you to keep hydrated!

but food is very very poor quality the staff cooking it can only work with what they have and flies are crawling over salad bar and tables never saw a restaurant manager at any time we have been here would not recommend this hotel.

but in general the standard of cleaning was poor, and we had to request extra towels as they only replaced some of them.

It was a let down to open the door and see the poor condition.

While the dining room décor isn’t like a canteen, the food for lunch and dinner was of a poor standard and selection.

Entertainment was very poor because of coronavirus

We have been to Tenerife before in hotels of a similar price category and we were shocked at the poor value for money at Barcelo Tenerife.
