The all inclusive drinks were of a decent standard and we found the one euro deposit for plastic beakers not to be a problem as we understand and appreciate the idea of being environmentally friendly.

Very disappointed this is are 3rd stay dec 29 jan 8 room 504 we always have the same room love the place staff excellent we previously went all inclusive

although it is advertised as all inclusive, it isn’t!

Food is lovely for an all inclusive so much choice your never bored .

The food was exactly what you would expect at an all inclusive, a good choice and plenty of variety.

We opted for all inclusive and I am so sorry we did.

We never saw any snacks that were free (we we’re all inclusive) & had to pay for ice creams.

however Definatly took advantage of the all inclusive bar!

but that’s always the case in 4* all inclusive hotels).

Food;  Fantastic, best all inclusive package ever.

however if you do drink the beers is Amstel in the all inclusive which is good.

We upgraded to all inclusive and unfortunately had to leave a day early, the receptionist was very helpful and printed out new flight tickets for us and even refunded our last day all inclusive charge.

I was on all inclusive option and lunch and dinner always had something to find and each day (apart from breakfast) there is always different type of  food.

The outdoor pool was clean & heated, there was plenty of sun loungers available 
A good choice of drinks was available on the all inclusive tariff.

The staff are very friendly and the rooms are modern and comfortable.

Great hotel, it was our 3 visit, staff are friendly & helpful and even when the door to our balcony broke & the repair team were unable to sort it, we were relocated within an hour .. brilliant service.

Especially mention the staff who are just so friendly and helpful and Regina on the front desk does rule everything like a queen as per her name.

The staff are very friendly,the hotel is spotless don't understand negative reviews,food great choices.

We choose it as it was disabled friendly and good value as it had triple rooms, or as they call them junior suites, which has a separated by wall living area with sofa bed.

Bar and reception staff were amazingly friendly despite how busy they were, and the entertainment staff were an absolute joy.

Just got back from a 2 week hoilday ,hotel nice staff friendly, bar staff great ,room lovely nice size sea view ,lovely old town 10 minutes walk away from hotel .Good bus route cost low ,we found people very helpful.

The drinks were good quality and friendly staff at the bar.

My disabled adult daughter and myself were given an unexpected holiday when family were unable to go because of health reasons..it is a very quiet part of Tenerife

Especially Irune, as my partner and i got involved with the activities most nights of our holiday, she remembered our names, said hello to us every morning and kindly let us know the itinerary for the day and encouraged us to join in!

Tranquil and peaceful holiday, will definitely return soon

If you enjoy surfing, windsurfing or kiting El Medano is the place to go, or if you want a chilled relaxed holiday.

We really enjoyed our break at this hotel.

We loved it so much we have cancelled our September holiday in Malta and booked to return here instead in September 

Staff are wonderful, room was perfect, food great.

The room was very spacious, the food delicious and the staff amazing.All facilities are just a great fit for a relaxing holiday.

The pool bar now has a policy that you purchase for €1 a plastic tumbler or as we did we bought our own clear plastic tumblers, you do get your €1 back when you return the tumbler at the end of the holiday.

All in all we were pleasantly surprised with how lovely and relaxing this break was.

If you’re looking for only a relaxing  holiday this is the place for you.

but we knew this before coming, we hired a car from the hotel which was available to pick up right from the hotel car park which was super handy and meant we could get out and about and explore different areas of the island which made our holiday rather than if we were to just stay in the hotel all week.

The website says "It is a quiet area with a relaxed, warm and romantic atmosphere. The ideal place for a vacation where you can combine free time and relax."

What topped this holiday off was the enterainment.

When it comes to dining, the food at the resort was what you would expect from a standard holiday buffet.

Apparently that is EasyJet public relations for " welcome to Tenerife, we hope you had a pleasant flight, please make your way to bus stand 63 which is out of the left hand exit and across the bus station, where your driver is waiting to take you to your hotel. Have a nice holiday."

You can get these cleaned and changed when you want and then get your 1 Euro back when you return them at the end of your holiday.

To start, nothing about the holiday here was enough to make it a negative experience, the hotel has some great qualities,

The housekeeping was definitely poor in the rooms with our beds not being changed throughout our stay and cups and spoons rinsed and still dirty.

The food is very poor and options for vegetarians is nearly non existent.

Food in the restaurant was poor, limited choice, never hot and just low  in quality.

The food for the first 2 days was poor and would have only warranted only 2 Stars

For a hotel with nothing around this is a poor excuse for entertainment.

I have never been to a hotel with such poor service.

The chairs in the dining room were very  dirty, on a lot of tables,  with ground in food in the chairs, the entertainment  was very poor, daytime was a mixture of some pool games and darts etc.

The evening entertainment was very poor, during a music quiz the Spanish compere spoke too quickly, gave us very little time to answer and had difficulty using the machine.

When the restaurant is closed don't expect snacks from the pool bar, ice cream is chargeable as are snacks, very poor for all inclusive.

However, the drinks in the bar were very poor, they didn't even have tomato juice for a bloody mary.

Previously the food had been good, we assume this is cost cutting using very poor ingredients.

I have never before seen so much wasted food left on plates in a restaurant and don’t understand a hotel which will tolerate such poor standards of cooking.

Unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel on the basis of poor food quality and windy location.,

Entertainment was very poor and limited as well, ( as I said earlier, my personnel option), also staff at this hotel are not the friendliest, (friendly when clearing plates etc, from your table, buy bar staff could be grumpy), hotel is close to airport, so good for transfers, you do hear planes overhead,

Snacks, I was directed to a vending machine when I asked about crisps, very poor for an all inclusive.

but just when everything else is so poor, this certainly does not help.

Drinks were a bit poor for 4*, gin & tonic was undrinkable unless you wanted to pay premium.

On the other hand, the choice of AI alcoholic spirits and cocktails was poor.

Oldish hotel in the middle of nowhere, poor quality food and drinks, practically no housekeeping.

The hotel is adult only during this time and as a result was quiet and relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for.

We paid 15 to use the spa jacuzzi, steam, sauna and relaxation area, one time when it was cloudy.

however if you’re wanting a nice relaxing stay away then I would 100% recommend this hotel.

My massage was so relaxing and professional.

We come to unwind and this hotel is perfect.

the hotel is situated in a very peaceful, quiet area, right on the beach.

The hotel itself is in a lovely spot for a relaxing stay.

So relaxing, so enjoyable for our first experience we've already booked to go back next August.

Its more of a relaxing holiday with a surfer chilled feel of a place so if you want to go to switch off and relax its good.

The pool area was lovely, really relaxing and a good balance of quiet and then entertainment throughout the day.

It either needs to stick to being a relaxing spa hotel, or cater to people who want to be entertained 24/7.

I will say if your idea of coming away relaxing, sunbathing and drinking by the pool all day and not wanting to visit anywhere or do anything is up your alley amd play vards on am evening and bed at 11pm then book this hotel as it is a lovely hotel, friendly, clean, big rooms,  nice enough food,

Huge selection of food, great pool area and relaxing spa.

We were able to unwind and appreciate being by the sea.

But, d'ya know what, we didn't care, the hotel had it all for us, we had exactly what we needed, Adults Only, total relaxation, great food, great drinks, and Sunshine.

My wife and I are both over 80 years of age and this place suits us well all the staff are so helpful with our mobility requirements - even down to bringing us drinks !!!

The staff are mostly lovely, tip them theyl turn on.

On arrival to the hotel at 9.30pm we had a stern welcome with no assistance with luggage and no refreshments.

Staff are so lovely and accommodate your every whim.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

All staff are extremely helpful, especially the bar staff which we found very accommodating and humorous.

Hotel clean, staff lovely and no problem with sun beds.

The hotel has a strong focus on conservation, therefore we were given the option of asking for towels etc to be changed and our room to be cleaned if so desired.

NEGATIVES
The white towels in the rooms were threadbare and hard, they definitely need changing.

Staff……fantastic, all really helpful, the chocolate milk cocktail was amazing 
Cleaning…….doesn’t happen, the bed just had the sheets pulled over, never swept or mopped, bathroom never cleaned, the only thing that did happen was the towels changed.

At no point did we feel the need to go and lay our towels down before breakfast to guarantee a bed.

Not a big deal, just needs some pegs for towel on sunbed (offered in shop next door)
- The food at the buffet was hit and miss, some days it was great and some days it was very bland.

The pool is a good size, unfortunately despite the notices asking people not to reserve sunbeds, people didn’t take any notice and put their towels down at silly o’clock, which is a shame for people who do abide by the rules.

Take towel clips or buy them when you get there, you will need them to keep your towels safe and some pegs if you choose to hang any washing on your balcony, if you want to see it again.

Half the time we had no towels due to some problems with the laundry company and when you did, they were full of holes.

They do have the clips you can rent to clip towel to the pool chair and they make it easier (again another €1 as a deposit for a pair of clips needed) 

Also if you are a light sleeper and need perfect quiet to fall asleep take a earplugs with you or prepare yourself to not sleeping till around midnight.

There is a towel voucher system in place for pool towels, little bit convoluted

The towels in the bathroom are threadbare with holes in them 
I had to ask for towels as was often left 2 the size of a tea towel .

Lumpy pillows, hessian feel blankets not so good so those with sensitive skin, towels had mostly seen better days.

Towels are changed every day and pool towels changed every 2nd day.

The towels should be changed every other day

Coffee cups left , no bins in the room , towels extremely thin .

Lost count of the number of times we contacted reception for towels.

Pool towels could be changed every two days and at the bar you paid a refundable 1 euro for a plastic beaker which saves a lot on discarded plastic cups.

but we found our room wasn’t cleaned very well , for 4 star as in same towels and sheets all week and not swept at all, beds not made very well, but really the main problem was, food even though the ingredients were good, it was executed badly, the food was Luke warm and rice was hard, hard potatoes, and tasteless, such a shame, first time I’ve ever not wanted to eat somewhere, and there’s not anything close by, even the pizza was raw!

Entertainment team during the day offer a few activities such as aqua aerobics, yoga, daily cocktails etc.

We booked tickets on this before arriving.

You must book and obtain a ticket from reception.

The hotel sells tickets to both Loro Parque (zoo) and Siam Park (water park) and a coach will pick you up from the hotel.

The free bus to Las Americas is best booked in advance and don't forget your ticket!

Everyone friendly from all the staff, the rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff are so very friendly.

The staff in the hotel are all so friendly, hardworking and attentive, the bar staff make the nicest cocktails and never fail to spot your almost empty glass and replenishing your drinks.

Food was diverse, all in all lovely, staff can not be faulted impeccable service and super friendly and inviting.

Lovely hotel, great amenities, good selection of food with all inclusive (could of done with being a bit clearer on what was included in Plus) large selection of drinks, friendly staff, nice decor throughout, pools are great, pebbled beach close by & just 10 minutes away from airport

Food:
The serving staff were all friendly and helpful, with most meals being taken in the  Drago buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

The resort is spotless, the staff are friendly, polite and always helpful, the facilities are great overall and the food was good with plenty of variety.

The staff at all the bars where friendly and attentive excellent service, had a very nice choice of food which was not always hot ,  the hotel is trying its best to be a 5*

The restaurant and food provisions were also very good with the main buffet “Drago” being well stocked up with plenty to choose from and was served by the friendly waiters and waitresses.

Generally a comfortable and enjoyable hotel; staff friendly and bedrooms comfortable.

Staff: super friendly and helpful and will to the extra mile and always say “we’re happy to help” which was nice and reassuring 

Food:

I felt safe & looked after the whole duration of the stay 

I was greeted by friendly staff in reception who checked me in, everything was explained clearly & I was given a brochure which entailed opening times of each bar, restaurant & meal times & also a detailed map of the resort.

They are very friendly, polite and helpful.

The staff in the restaurant are always so friendly as they seat you at your table for each meal.

The original staff are outstanding, so friendly and super helpful.

It was a fun trip for my kids as they love it a lot the service was good everyone was friendly it was a great relaxing trip, it is worth it to get the all inclusive package as they provide food and drink all day long

Carlos and all his staff were welcoming, friendly and very attentive.

The hotel was chosen as a 5 star resort and 1st impressions were excellent, reception area was large and attractive and the reception staff were helpful and friendly.

but they are fabulous, friendly, and no doubt destined for great things. Barcelo you are very lucky to have such staff :-)

but food is very very poor quality the staff cooking it can only work with what they have and flies are crawling over salad bar and tables never saw a restaurant manager at any time we have been here would not recommend this hotel.

but in general the standard of cleaning was poor, and we had to request extra towels as they only replaced some of them.

It was a let down to open the door and see the poor condition.

While the dining room décor isn’t like a canteen, the food for lunch and dinner was of a poor standard and selection.

Entertainment was very poor because of coronavirus

We have been to Tenerife before in hotels of a similar price category and we were shocked at the poor value for money at Barcelo Tenerife.

Customer care very poor I’d allocated a room on floor one.

Cocktails were a little on the poor side, they were pre-mixed, and I appreciate if they weren’t, this would then cause a back log at the bar!

The lighting in the corridors and stairs, especially in the evenings, was difficult especially as one of our party had poor eyesight.

If I'm honest I did think that the waiting staff who only really had to pour drinks was a little poor on occasion.

The standard room we had was quite small for a family of three and the sofa bed was very poor, having said that the adult bed wasn’t very comfortable either.

The morning one is handy is you are going to the POPULAR Siam Park (a must to visit).

It is approx 25 euro each way to get to Siam Park or the main resort areas.

We were relieved to go to the little shop and restaurant 5 minutes away to get some food that we could actually eat, and also when we went to Siam Park and Loro Parque.

They also provide a daily bus service into Las Americas which we used twice, it saved us a fortune in taxis going to Siam Park and was timed perfectly for the parks opening hours.

We went to Siam Park, very easy to get to as the free shuttle bus is offered at 9:30, then you get on another free bus at the drop off point, which will take you the park.

We also visited Siam park which is a must and the staff were great at booking us taxis to and from.

Loads to do and visit; Siam Park, boat trips in Los Cristianos, Jungle Park.

Realised that it drops you at between 10 and 10.05 at the Best Hotel where the free bus to the Siam Shopping Mall and Siam Park leaves from at 10.10.

Nearby to Siam Park which is a must when going to Tenerife.

We didn’t spend much time at the hotel during the day as we went to Siam Park, Loro Park, Whale watching and and half day excursion to Mt Teide

Lot’s to do in Tenerife and Siam Park is an absolute most, great laugh and excellent value, we booked through TUI, yes it costs more

I'll write about both experiences in this review

Firstly the hotel is stunning, the rooms, the view, the pools, the bars all are amazing  the staff work tirelessly to make your stay a fantastic one!

The hotel staff did not let us know either

Midweek you only have the option of going in the inside restaurant (where the food is the same everyday for lunch and dinner) or a pre made sandwich and some cold chips outside.

— the daytime buffet bar was pretty grim unless u like eating cold chips or a soggy sandwich.

Our air conditioning worked fine, we just made sure we kept the doors shut, the living room one was so good my daughter asked if we could switch it if as was so cold she couldn’t sleep, we did have one problem in the room and that was our bathroom light fell down

The ‘air conditioning’ did not make the room cold, we had to shut the curtains to make sure the room was cool for when we returned after the pool, when we told reception they did send the engineer to look at it who said it was working

It was freezing cold , smelled strange and had a mop and bucket in the corner.

The water was lovely and refreshing, not too cold.

Seen reviews of people complaining about the temperature of the pool all I can say is some people love a good moan if they can find nothing else wrong … yes the pools are cold

Food was good - as the hotel was less than half full the food would be left to go a little cold at times, particularly at breakfast.

but not exceptional - and once for lunch, which was very disappointing, most food was cold.

Food was cold and tasteless, all inclusive drinks were disgusting!

The concierge service was cold and not welcoming.

Lunch was a variety everyday including pizza, chips, sandwich stuff, cold pastas, cheeses, meats etc.

No big deal as we had some great food and a cold beer at the Wild Geese bar just down the road.

although couldn’t understand why it was called that as there was nothing to show for this extra cost🙁
The food,well breakfast was ok with plenty of choice from hot to cold food tea coffee juice all from vending machines. .

Restaurant was not that much better with cold food , not replenished when finished !

The food is lukewarm I not too keen on cold chips - they need to seriously look after the food as so far only arrived yesterday so evening meal soup was lovely

Heated pool is a bonus as the other pool was far too cold to swim in.

I’d categorize this hotel as exceptionally humane and friendly, thanks to Manager Mr. Iorizzo.

The staff are all absolutely lovely and friendly.

The staff are lovely big shout out to Jessica i think she was called on reception,always greeted us with a smile,very friendly,nothing too much bother for her.
