The hotel staff are really friendly, the activities all day every day are great, there was always something to do, the staff were always cleaning.

Snack food was poor, hot dogs with no buns!

Whenever the toddler cried or did something ‘undesirable’ the mother would scream at the poor kid who otherwise got zero attention.

but doesn’t deserve the 4 stars, the rooms are great that’s definitely the good thing, but the food, the poor all inclusive, the entertainment doesn’t deserve 4 stars, also there is nothing to do outside of the hotel, so just an average hotel with 2,5 stars

The food was cold every night and had to be warmed in the microwave even if you went in as soon as the Restraunt  opened the food was also very repetitive there  were no hot drinks available in the Restraunt other than breakfast time and the soft drinks Pepsi / Pepsi max and 7up had run out more often than not.on our last night even the white wine ran out which is poor for an all inclusive.

why the staff didn’t know that as soon as I mentioned it seemed a bit poor and would have saved me getting annoyed about it.

Adults fighting, filthy rooms, lack of English language, poor food we lived off rice & salad and had to eat out and even go to the supermarket been an awful experience not enough letters to let me leave full review.

The entertainment team work really hard organising the usual variety of poolside games during the day but obviously have budget constraints as the evenings entertainment was poor and mainly consisted of them doing sketches or more games/quizes/karaoke.

The children’s game room is also quite poor, we won a prize on the ‘Stacker’ machine

but the hotel provides free buses to Arenal and Palma 
My only complaint is the local spirits because they are poor.

but lots of people complaining and was non existent in reception area and poor in the dining room.

The food was poor in every way, and constantly had to wait for things to be replenished.

My sister (who works in leisure) informed me it wasn’t mould per se on the sun-beds

but some days you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool and the stuff floating in it was disgusting!

Turn right out of hotel then when at the roundabout at bottom of road turn right & there is a newsagents that sell tobacco.

There was a damp smell in our room initially.

We headed to the splash pool to then discover the ropes in the pool all covered in green mould!

The food was DISGUSTING and that's no exaggeration.

The bathroom is terrible, really smelly and old.

Also some bar staff need to be retrained on cocktails as sometimes they were just disgusting depending on who made them.

The snack bar was quite disgusting though.

Unfortunately the rules about smoking only in designated areas do not appear to apply to vaping (or are not enforced) as a number of times we ended up changing sunbeds to avoid the fumes.

)There is a supermarket if you go out of the hotel to the left which has baby milk nappies etc, if you want cigarettes turn right at the hotel and follow the road round to the small shopping centre, there is a newsagent type shop you can get them.

Other customers chucking cigarette ash on floor and cigarette ends in tree bases as no ashtrays provided.

Overall - this hotel is not 4 star and is geared for young French families (French spoken for all activities/entertainment).

Unfortunately, we had only been in our room for five minutes before we heard spraying outside of our room, and began to smell the insecticide as it entered our room from under the door (as this was the area that was being sprayed).

Pool was consistently dirtied by debris from the palm trees and dead bugs.

but the standard is unfortunately not up to 4 stars.all inclusive cocktails and drinks disgusting.

Nothing worse than trying to eat your meal and someone thinks its ok to light a cigarette 10feet away from you around children.

The only thing I think could be improved are the towels in the bathroom, they were old, had a burned smell to them and they were quite small.

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Hotel Victoria Gran Melia, the service was outstanding and all the staff were friendly and accommodating.

however, on arrival as we sweep into the driveway we are met by a very friendly concierge, we are ushered to the checkin which was seamless, and we were given a glass of welcoming Cava we were introduced to the “Level Manager” Daniel,  who was friendly and explained the level experience.

How can such a 5 star hotel warrant such an extortionate cost?

although 4 euros is too much to have to pay for a can of water!

If you don’t fancy walking it’s only a short taxi ride into old town costing about 7 euros.

but paid extra 150 euros night - take it or leave it at check-in & a case of upselling!

The only tweaks I would make were that anyone who paid for red level should have either free mini bar or ability to take drinks from the Red Level lounge down to the poolside, or free poolside drinks.

but overpriced for what you get, and should be reclassified as a four star.

The 2-star score reflects a significant shortfall in the value-for-money offered - this was not cheap.

The price to upgrade the room was 253 per person which was ridiculous.

..it is after all why we pay for that privledge. .

If I had one complaint it is the extortionate cost of drinks (4.5 Euro for a small can of water, 6 Euro for a soft drink) which soon adds up.

The main problem with the hotel was the price of drinks around the pool.

The drinks at the pool area were overpriced though.

however at the price I paid I would expect dressing gowns and slippers in the room !

I noted people popping to the cafe next door for drinks and ice creams as there was nothing to be had except overpriced beverages.

Taxis are easily obtainable and are not particularly expensive,

It is extraordinary to be given a room without a balcony and facing the rear of the hotel, this meant being awoken at night by incoming delivery trucks reversing with the resulting noise being really loud.

There was tons of construction which they did not make us aware of and it ruined any type of peace and quiet during our stay.

Unfortunately there was a lot of building work going on at the hotel next door so it was too noisy to sit outside in the afternoon.

I don’t understand the moaners who feel that the building works spoilt their stay, our room was adjacent to the works and the noise was minimal.

but our experience was disappointing due to the noisy building work.

Only two very minor issues - found having to use panel to turn lights on/off and open/close curtains, etc a bit complicated and the roadworks taking place outside hotel were quite noisy at times during our stay (appreciate not the hotel’s fault).

Also, there is a LOT of traffic, wich is not anything the hotel can do anything about,

We all came home tired as the area was very noisey including loud dance music being played at 5am, not the hotels fault

Someone - perhaps the lifeguard - failed to keep some over-excited guests in check, allowing them to loudly takeover the entire area, taking glasses into the pool, and throwing their fully clothed friends in too.

Ear plugs needed at night for the road noise.

In the morning at 7am unfortunately we were woken every morning by the scraping of chairs, tables and benches on the terrace upstairs as they set up for breakfast.

Noise at weekends from the nightclub next door, very annoying.

We chose a room without a view of the sea and heard a lot of street noise.

but kind of noisy as there was a wedding that night.

We have no noise problem from road or night clubs

although next to the lift shaft which was noisy although not too busy as I don’t think the hotel was at capacity.

The pool area is quite jaded in places and the 6 lane road in front means constant road noise.

The staff are amazing, the room was large, comfortable and clean, we ate at the main restaurant, the terrace and the pool bar and the food was always delicious.

Staff all really lovely, in keeping with the wider population.

reception is beautiful with lovely old antique spanish furniture.

This was all taken care of by the concierge team.

Thankyou all would be back in a heartbeat!! !

Not very clean was my only complaint in the apartments and the shower was broke when we first tried to use it

We then asked the receptionist of the amenities that we could use?

The bungalows were not bungalows, they were tiny dirty little rooms with tiny hard to use bathroom stuck on the side.

but had everything we needed, one other point is there was one plug socket in the room and one in the bathroom so take an extension lead with you.

Standing barefoot on other people’s pubic hair on the bathroom floor was just wow!

but your not get lonely with the amount of ants that are in the bathroom and cupboards.

however some guests said their room was very tired and nd had no hairdryer.

There was mould along the frame of the door and where the skirting would have been by the bed.

but had excellent air con, a sofa, wardrobe, black out curtains, Tv (only a few English channels - but who comes on holiday to watch Tv) comfy beds and a vanity table, mirror and chair.

Unfortunately the rooms were only cleaned once, towels changed twice, the resort is very hilly.

The first room we was given was the pits.

However on booking I knew it was two stars and was not bothered as we only stay in the room to sleep, when we arrived past midnight we were given a map to find our “bungalow” it wasn’t that hard as it was well lit

Sun Club Eldorado are experts at it, so when you arrive and you are allocated a room with 'B' at the end, don't be upset if you hate it, just go get it sorted with reception.

however it’s a room with a Bluetooth speaker in where you have to pay for overpriced drinks.

The staff are friendly and helpful, our hot water didn't work we spoke to receptionist and by the time we got back to the room someone came to sort it and it was fixed within a couple of hours.

We had booked economy bungalows which on the website give no real indication of what rooms would be like.

Very rude staff - pictures look better than hotel - our room was like a jail cell.

The bed was broken, didn’t have enough room to swing a cat or unpack suitcase in the room.

Asked to keep our room on extra hours 2days before was told to come in the morning to be told no… had 8 hours to wait… to come to reception and they check a couple in for 1 night who had not book, food basic if you like carbs.

Today we have been in the room for 40 minutes.. so the size of the room for us are fine.

There was a locked door to an adjoining room, very unhappy with that (see photo).

His reply was you are in Spain it’s Spanish, I said I appreciate that and I used to live in Spain for a year so can speak

Brilliant staff and we met people we are staying in touch with also on holiday at the resort .

Stayed here for four nights and it’s now on my go to list again don’t understand some negative reviews

The staff were polite all except a young bar man who thought because he bared one lady from being served he would also bar anyone who spoke to this person as well.

The staff are absolutely amazing especially the ones who have been there many years in reception, restaurant and bars.

The staff are the greatest asset this company have, some, such as Danny and Shirley are extra special, they care and they will sort everything you require with a smile, so give everyone a brake, they work so hard for so little(compared to what you earn) and remember you bought cheap, if you want more, pay the extra.

They also offer excursions at the reception, we did the Palma Tour.

Also very accommodating of a very late pickup after normal checkout time.

The male reps were very very flirtatious with the young girls and l saw them taking girls numbers even tho, they were serving there partners after :-( other than that the facilities are okay, would l stay again no!!

(Praise to Pat on reception who is in fact lovely).

We joined in the fun with the entertainment staff and met some fantastic new friends who all wanted to just enjoy their break.

Only helpful person was Shirley who you book your day trips with.

Food and drink was great Always found something to eat and drinks were good with a great system they used for your drinking cups.You pay 1euro on arrival for each cup you purchase and get it back end of holiday,They wash it each time you need topping up.Entertainment team were brill and worked really hard keeping everyone happy in the daytime and evening.We would definately say yes to coming back here and class it as a 3star Plus,We had a great week and it was everything we wanted it to be,Nice weather Lovely views Food and drink and met some lovely people.Definately be back again
