however as the week went on it became so repetitive that it became unenjoyable, kids really struggled to find things they liked - lived off Chips & we ended up out a lot for dinner due to them
Not eating much.

however I imagine this is due to the fact that a French holiday company have reps etc here!

On the first night my 4 year old almost passed out in the mini disco due to lack of air con!!

The use of insecticides was also discussed, and I expressed my concerns with the use of insecticides and the risk of respiratory issues due to toxicity in humans with the insecticide being sprayed right outside our door just before we went to sleep.

We were told it was due to the keys being compromised by being near our phones

I probably wouldn't come back here for a long stay only due to the fact my family likes to explore local areas, we cant go to far due to mobility issues

Building works at next hotel and across road a new housing development started digging at 8am so could not sit on balcony during day due to dust and noise.

I was unable to argue this at the time, due to my transfer arriving while checking out.

Room 234 was over the bins and at least 3 times during our stay I was woken at 7 by bins being emptied, this was due to the fact of sleeping with the doors open as no air conditioning,
Room was very cramped and bruises resulted in trying to bypass the fold out bed.

Restaurant doesn’t open till 8 am for breakfast & they don’t do packed lunches or allow removal of food so we couldn’t get breakfast on departure day due to starting at 8.10 on coach.

The pool was cloudy on more than one occasion, which I guess was due to not being filtered or cleaned right.

The hotel was pretty much full, there were a lot of people in and out the pool and at times we were put off going in due to the amount of 'debris' floating about.

but thought I would on this hotel due to us being pretty worried coming here due to all the negative reviews and was going to change our hotel, but glad we didn't!

but as the start of our stay was spoilt due to a battle with the management over being allowed to sit together inside the restaurant I will address this issue first.

The beds and pillows aren’t the most comfortable and towards the end of our week both me & my husband were struggling to sleep due to them being uncomfortable.

I was unsure on how the hotel would be due to reading negative reviews on tripadvisor.

My major concern around the small pool is the amount of kids that are falling over due to the amount of water on the tiles.

air-con did not work at all, due to a broken switch on patio door, this did not bother us as we always sleep with door open.

I thought I'd write a review as like me you're probably reading this a few weeks before you're due to go and dreading it because of the bad reviews.

Came here in aug 2022 for a family holiday with my son and wife, was completely blown away by the super hospitality, very friendly staff who went above and beyond.

Reception staff - the best at the hotel couldn’t be more helpful & friendly, our air on broke & was fixed the next day.

I spoke to reception about the extra night I had payed for and they said I was to keep my original room as “ it’s better for you and us”this was the day before original check out and the friendly man at reception sorted it all out on the computer…or so I thought.

I found all staff to be friendly and approachable bar one male on reception when we checked in (no welcome or orientation given just pay the tax and room key given).

The pools are great with life guards and all staff helpful and friendly.

The staff work really hard and most are friendly.

Entertainment isnt great for young children

The water is great and shallow for babies to splash about and then gradually gets deeper for the bigger ones and inflatables.

My nephew aged 7 enjoyed both pools, as did we.

The evening entertainment was a weak whilst we were there and it catered for children

and we’d fetch the grandkids because the kids pool/slide area looked brilliant for them.

- the tiles around the pool area were very slippy, would recommend pool shoes for children.

The kids splash pool was great for younger kids

WiFi worked everywhere we tried it for the kids tablets and our phones.

Night time entertainment was basic- same 5 songs for kids on night

Room was a good size and very clean, pools were lovely,  the bigger pool is really warm and the kids pools with slides are in a different part of the hotel which was good.

The kids disco at night was embarrassing, same 5 songs EVERY night performed awfully.

The kids splash pool was fantastic with several slides, and  kept the little ones entertained for hours.

This is particularly true about the kids club.

The childrens area and splash pool is set away in a quieter area of the gardens and has plenty of water slides etc.

Hotel is very clean, pool areas are brilliant, the splash pool is brilliant for the kids with lots of space for sunbathing.

but the room wasn't ready until 2, we could pay 15 euros to access it immediately but chose to wait and were able to use the all inclusive immediately.

Paid almost £3000 for family holiday and spent 5 days solving problem where nobody in the hotel took any responsibility for that case ?

Only whinge really is the price to hire the in room safe, 32euros for the week and a 10euro refundable deposit.

2 adults, 2 kids (aged 5 & 2)

Check in was easy, receptionist asked to see our passports and pay the tourist tax needed.

10 minutes after this a knock on the door…it was the reception manager who I naively thought might be delivering some sort of apology…but no…he had stormed up to my room without any information that had been given to reception the previous day…and when he realised he was in the wrong then pestered me for the €6 tax that was outstanding that reception had forgotten to ask me for the previous day.The manager was very unprofessional which is sad as all the reception staff,bar staff,restaurant staff can’t do enough for you,they really go the extra mile and then seem to be let down by management.

For the money we paid each for this holiday, I would not rate it 4*.

We had to pay 30 euros to get a taxi back.Livid,  I saved my receipt and headed straight for the manager of the hotel to express  my disappointment.

however just talking to guests would be nice and it costs nothing.

but there is a bus stop just to your right as you come out of hotel grounds, a tip here is to use your debit card, just tap it on box on way on and again on way off, very simple and also a lot lor cheaper than using cash.

If you use a debit card its half the cost if you pay cash on the bus.

Having to pay 2euro any time u wanted to change ur pool towel.

We also used the 504 to go straight from the hotel to a short walk from the cathedral, this was €4.50 each, or €2.70 if paid by card which you tap on the contactless machine on entry and how many passengers and you tap it again when you leave and it charges you accordingly.

Also, we hadto pay 46 euro tourist tax that we hadnt been made aware of.

My only criticism is children aged 16 are charged as adults to stay, and charged as adults for the tourist tax.

Yes we’ve been to other hotels (and paid a lot more) and has better entertainment

Also having to pay to use the iron and safe is not typical of a 4* hotel.

Just pay attention when they are prepared and you'll see that they barely put any alcohol.

Food very repetative and luke warm, not much choice for mains and smell was awful.desserts exactly the same every lunch and dinner time.

The have everything basic you need for a plainer pallet like pizza, pasta, breads, chips etc.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff.

Food was nice always something for everyone .fantastic omelette made by Ross in the morning   she always as a smile and a joke  brilliant customer service.

The food is fantastic if you like a huge selection and different themes per day.

Lovely clean hotel, polite staff plenty of food and drinks, free bus to palma beach, plenty of sun beds, nice relaxing pool area’s, nice to have a fridge in the room and the air conditioning worked well in the room.

Food absolutely brilliant, entertainment very good, pool scene fab with a lovely water park round the back.

Restaurant offers plenty of variety so ignore the rubbish that you only eat chips every night.

The AI food options were fine, different themes and plenty of it available, we didn't go hungry!

The food was a good standard and had different themes at night which brought variety as well    The pools were just lovely- and warm!

Food here is amazing, something for everyone, breakfast is a mix of continental and English.

Firstly I’d like to point out our first 7 days were 5 stars,friendly staff,great food,clean room,queues went quick at the bar on an evening however the entertainment is questionable

We only used the room for sleeping so didn't bother us too much.

The next day after lunch I went back to our room for a sleep only to  find 10 minutes into my nap a room service manager had let herself into my “do not disturb” room and proceeded to yell at me in Spanish this was eventually sorted out by a phone call to reception and I made it clear I wasn’t happy and about the way I was spoken too.

The family room is just a normal room with a sofa bed which for 10 nights is not a comfortable sleep.

I was very upset with this, as I had already expressed my concerns and was reassured that no insecticides would be used whilst we were sleeping in the room,

All of the metal fire doors slammed shut and woke us up in a fright and then we followed everyone down to reception in the middle of the night to be told that it was a false alarm.

The negatives unfortunately outweigh the positives which includes:

- For a 4* hotel, I would have expected beds rather than given a sofa bed to sleep on.. incredibly uncomfy for a weeks stay!

Negatives: On arrival we had requested a travel cot for our son (2 years old) and were told we had to pay for the travel cot, personally I wasn't happy with our son sleeping on a sofa bed so we had no choice to pay for it.

The aircon worked extremely well meaning we could sleep comfortably - you can't have the air con running whilst the balcony doors are open or when you aren't in the room (the key card slots in a holder which turns on electricity in your room).

3rd the pillows for the sofa bed absolutely stank of cheesy feet and I had to return to reception and ask for new ones as I wasn’t about to let my kids sleep on them.

If a child needs a cot to sleep in I feel this should be included in the price of the stay as it was last year (as he was under 2)

We had to sleep with the balcony door wide open to air out the smell of the room.

The only thing I can fault the hotel on is the fire alarms went off every other night, never woke my little one up which I'm happy about.

but that was the least of the problems as they were so uncomfortable we might aswell have slept on the floor.

I tried to explain its still 23 - 27 degrees and we can not sleep due to the heat in the room.

As per the brochure states the air conditioning only works until September, so had to sleep with the doors open, now have some lovely bites!!!

but there's a bus to get you out and about would recommend if you want a relaxing time lots go's on with entertainment team if you want to do activities

So fairly good mix and the team are really nice.

We went straight to the reception and reported it .

All staff we spoke to were really nice and always helpful.

but had absolutely no impact at all- the staff were bilingual and everyone felt welcome.

Yes there are french reps and more than half the guests are french

Reception staff were lovely, very busy and possibly needs an extra person to help out from time to time.

Staff were friendly and multilingual so could communicate with languages other than Spanish.

The pools are lovely and clean and loved the pool next to the horses who are very friendly and love attention.

This is a lovely resort, friendly, clean, good food, lovely pools etc.

Wouldn’t say I come to this place for the evening entertainment…
During the day, animation team are great, very friendly and bubbly.

Plenty of entertainment and staff very friendly.

Drinks were good too and the bar staff very friendly and happy to make whatever you fancied.

but everything worked and it was cleaned well every morning by a very friendly cleaner.

Staff were, on the whole, friendly and when we reported an issue with our door lock on the first night it was fixed by the ti e we got back from dinner.

Staff very friendly and helpful, food was lovely very fresh and hot and something different every day.

The whole resort is lovely with something different on each level, the horses & cats were our main attraction they were beautiful & friendly.

Tips: you have to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup.

Drinks - pay €1 for a plastic cup and re-use whole of your stay.

I also brought 6-8 cups and could only return 4 and when I was speaking to receptionist he said wasn’t his problem after not informing us when we arrived, the receptionist also told me and a friend I met to F off and was shouting and swearing in our faces.

Also, you have to buy your cup, which is 1 euro.

Room very outdated and mouldy, we had to call for maintenance on the first day as the toilet wouldnt stop flushing on the third day we had to call them as door was broken and we couldnt lock it, grounds not great and not looked after, pool was good and busy, you need to buy a cup for a euro and use the same cup during your stay.

Was expecting a fridge to put my sons medicine in

Nothing really superior about it, doesn't even have a fridge

So this needs addressing as no one wants to use the same cup for 7 days.

They need to implement cup covers/anti spiking covers for drinks here or maybe just hire less pervy staff.

Holiday makers are English German French and Spanish.

Only fault was no kettle,but we knew ahead and took a travel one.

especially for drink/water machines for kids/adults bar is small paper cups.

Albeit in paper cups during the day and plastic at night.

but no utensils not even a cup or mug, just bought a mug & boiled water in microwave for my morning cuppa.

- First of all our room had what I can only describe as a ripped out kitchen that had not been replaced ?

but did not expect a luxury
Plastic cups for drinks were ok as a lot of children on site so cups preferable to glass from a safety aspect
Kids seemed to love El Dorado

but at night i was getting G and Ts and wine served in disposable cups.

The rooms are small and oddly arranged with a spare abandoned kitchenette wasting space -

All inclusive food was poor- consistently cold and very little choice to offer.

The entertainment was very poor, very far fetched and the entertainers didn’t stick to the schedule AT ALL.

There’s also nothing around so some days we had to go to towns about 20 minutes away to get different food as it was the same and very poor quality.

but not even a kitchen beds were very uncomfortable flys and wasps everywhere I got stung as I was checking in flys in the restaurant and in the bars all over the snack food during the day no cash machines and it’s miles from any beaches no restaurants near either poor horses left out in the baking hot sun pools were great though and stunning views

Also not for those with poor mobility, it's quite hilly/steps and has rocky pathways.

Poor food, poor rooms, staff not good and poor English etc

Very unpleasant experience, poor hotel and service staff and the hotel owners themselves, who do not guarantee the safety and quality of service to their customers.

NEGATIVE, cleanliness poor, b55 bungalow very small just enough room for one person to walk around the bed.

We never saw any workers looking after these poor horses who had visible injuries to their skin.

Thomas cook need to sort this , also no returners meal , poor staff ran off their feet

These poor animals are neglected and left out in the heat with limited food and water.

This hotel caters well for this type of holidaymaker and for this reason the accommodation is VERY basic , rooms have very poor decor and fittings and all furnishings very old and poorly maintained (ours was a large sea view bungalow).

You know the foods poor when you remember the nicest thing you ate . .macaronni.

but also has some poor issues, so I'll start with them.

although there was a wasp problem at the top pool area at the time and I got stung twice; we also saw a little girl get stung too which pretty much ruined her day poor thing.

You could hire a poor quality fan at a price.

Finally, something positive, 4 stars for the food.

Restaurant is clean and typical food on offer.

Food was really good with lots of different options/ fish each day and I'm pretty fussy.

We've just got back from a week stay at this hotel, the resort is beautiful for the price we paid, we had a studio apartment with a seaview with stunning views, food was good always found plenty to eat

Hotel had everything I wanted 3 different pools, food was okay and I was able to eat every day.

The snacks were just sandwiches for you to make and pizza.

Food was fairly ordinary for all inclusive, I was happy to only be there for 3 days I wouldnt have liked to have stayed for longer

Food: The all inclusive buffet was full of variety and had lots of fresh, tasty options available.

Shocking…not entertaining in anyway at all!!

but kids always had fun playing with them and the discos and evening shows

Entertainment team worked from 10 to 23.30 everyday mini club, sports  you can get involved as much or as little as you like.

Staff at the bars were polite and efficient, evening entertainment was interesting

There are a few members of staff that would be blasting very inappropriate music for everyone to listen to by the pool, every other word being “N****” or sexually explicit songs and encouraging guests in the pool to dance, children and other guests stood by the pool were tossed in by the staff.

Something for the children and you could tell all children really did enjoy things like
The mini disco while parents were able to relax.

but we did manage we would usually do the resort in 3 stages to brake up the walk.

but hey ho did I mention how cheap it was?😁

Entertainment varied and won't cater for all tastes and nationalities but they really try their best and are good with the kids.

Entertainment staff are shocking, rather talk to young females.

They have a board with activities listed and the evening entertainment listed.

Had a lovely time views amazing from bar where entertainment is in the evenings.

It's set away from the main night time entertainment so it's quieter for bedtime.

Otherwise, there was bingo on one evening also.

if you have a bungalow be prepared you may get a neighbour sharing the bungalow with a different entrance and just a thin door between you, this made me feel quite unsafe as they arrived at midnight and were super loud for the days they was there making it hard to sleep, smoking in their room my whole room constantly smelt like smoke and constantly trying to open the door that connects the rooms maybe not the same experience for everyone

I don’t think I managed a full few hours of sleep without being used as a resting point for countless flies.

One of the nights the sprinklers came on around 2am and woke us up the water was hitting the side of the room then kept us awake until it went off.

Not an issue for us as we were only in the room to sleep, and like I said, they were quiet.

If you just want a room to sleep in it’s fine.

Bungalow is what they called our accommodation we call it our cell, never slept air con doesn’t work, doors not secure and bed so old and lumpy wouldn’t let my dog sleep on it.

- ants nests in our room and bathroom on which reported to reception staff we were told “I’ll send a cleaner I cannot I understand you” 
- live cables hanging from the ceiling and above where we slept .

You only sleep there, what’s the issue?

but I just popped another layer on to sleep in.

Ok so we're only sleeping in it, 2 slats fell out the base of one of the single, pushed together beds.

but if you're after cheap and don't spend much time in the room other than to sleep then I really don't understand the issue.
