The restaurant was very good and with excellent choice of buffet both for breakfast and for dinner.

The food is delicious, fresh and the staff is very friendly, accommodating and professional.

Great beach, big pool, friendly staff and the food was so delicious as well.

We did half board and both breakfast and dinner were excellent- in my opinion the best I have had in Israel which is really saying something.

We stayed in large comfortable clean room, clean bathroom, enjoyed wonderful breakfast and dinner, with a exceptional variety of veggie and regular dishes .

The lounges and the restaurants have the kindest and most hospitable team members.

Excellent treatment by everyone , especially by Victoria who is in charge of the lounge and VIP check-in.

My wife and I stayed in a Moav room with access to the lounge on level 8 for light food and beverages (incl alcohol) all day long.

Lounge was very good, quiet without any children entry including free alcohol bar and food being replaced 3 times a day, including pastries in the morning, fishes and salads at noon, and deserts/salads in the evening.

Also, recommended to take a room on floors 8 or 9 as you have a great lounge included with food and drinks from 10am till 8pm. Lastly, try the massage, not the best one I received

Excellent hotel, Soyte with a huge balcony and jacuzzi with panoramic sea view lounge with hot, cold drinks and spirits as well as light meals throughout the day courteous and professional service.

At the “lounge” we were treated like royalty mostly because of Tagel.

The lounge on the eigth floor was good, friendly staff, fresh food, very clean and tidy.

Check in and check out at the lounge, no need to queue up in the Lobby.

The VIP lounge is in the 8th floor, with decent sitting areas and lovely dead sea views, great service, free cold and hot drinks,

We stayed at the Executive suite on floor 9, that also comes with full access to the hotel Moab Lounge, that offers beverages (hello Nespresso coffee!

The service in their lounge is excellent and the light meal available throughout the day is more than adequate to serve as lunch.

Also, it was to include access to the business lounge.

We were in the upgraded rooms maybe for those floors the Moab lounge could be used to speed up the process.

Nice spacious rooms (especially the top 3 floors, which have access to the lounge), swimming pools and spa.

He said “someone will call us tomorrow” and did nothing else.

The phone number of the reception, if you find the right one, will not help you, they do not answer !!!

I’m calling to check.” Meanwhile I’m starving and completely in shock at the treatment I received at a hotel that costs $500+ a night.

I had to call the manager upstairs to help.

after calling 4 times we finaly received 2 female slippers At this point I am all ready done we haven't received anything special in our room for our special day.

The hotel website is incorrect and the reservation phone number they gave meant waiting on hold for over an hour and then they didn't understand.

For the guest relation is worst people on hotel we have some problem on kids club Yael is not good to manage kids she is so nervous we call manager they give reason to personal instead customers is only in Israel that you can see manager or guest relation ask customers to don’t speak and stop , to give reason to team instead team make fault.

Kept calling front desk didnt have a solution.

but we thought that it will be reasonably to get another hour in the checkout time - so we asked and the receptionist that was trainee and barely could speak (Hebrew or English) refused to call the manager and did not agree to a simple and fair request.

Also if you call the reception dont always expect them to answer .

but the bad part is watching all those tractors and heavy machinery tearing the natural sea apart and building artificial ponds calling this dead sea is an insult to the ecological community!

Cabs apparently don't exist in the Dead Sea and so after waiting for an hour for a cab and several pretend phone calls to cab company who said we are a few minutes away,  then a gimmick of "check out the diamond store for free shuttle", we finally had to convince my 80+ mother in law to walk the 15 mins to the restaurant.

Here too paint was peeling and we had to call maintenance because the recessed handle in the door was falling off and the toilet was continually running.

Also, the wake up call we requested for 6 in the morning never came.

Three phone calls to get shower gel is silly!

Star ratings are normally given on facilities and service yet this hotel would not even provide water in the rooms, even when we requested at reception - the receptionist called someone in response to my request and after a two minute call she looked at me and said no, sorry.

The front desk staff very unfriendly, very often they do not pick up the phone and you have to go all the way down for a request which they do not do anyway.

Service is slow and if you try to call room service expect to be hung up at least a dozen times.

To go in you need to call a number for the fate to open (not very smart system as it would be easier to be able to open the gate with a room key for instance).

There are two large sweet water pools, one of them heated.

Good spa with saunas, dead-sea water pool and 2 Jacuzzis (!).

The hotel outdoor pool and indoor dead sea water pool are great and make this a great hotel with only a few minute walk across to the Dead Sea.

They also have an indoor salt water pool that we did not try.

They have a beautiful pool area, spa and a Dead Sea water pool on property.

The spa is large, and the Dead Sea water pool is large.

The hotel has an excellent spa with dead-sea water pools as well as sulfur pools.

In addition the two level fresh water pool was wonderful - and heated to the perfect temperature for a refreshing swim.

The outdoor sweet water pool ( upstairs)  was heated to 27 degrees centigrade making swimming a pleasure even in Feb.  the pool manager caters to all the guests as does the life guard. .

The hotel itself is very welcoming, has good spa with an indoor and ‎outdoor heated Dead Sea water pool and a nice sized and shaped ‎outdoor fresh water pool.

Spa and dead sea water pools are top of the line.

With the Dead Sea water pool, once can enjoy this hotel and the dead sea experience of floating with the trouble to go through the mud to get into the "sea of salt" - hotel is clean, quiet, perfect for a drop of the face of earth if you want it.

And the spa was of top quality with a salt water pool, jaquzzi, steam and dry sauna.

Loved the Dead Sea water pool at this property.

The Dead Sea water pool is very healthy and pleasant.

Pathetic and horrible, avoid at all costs!

but when this comes at the price of forcing you to leave your room and re-enter it every 10 minutes, and have your room become a sweaty sauna when you sleep at night and are no longer able to re-enter your room every 10 minutes, the result is a nightmare.

I was told to pay taxes , I don’t live in Israel for more than 30 years , it’s not fair

Not so much to do with kids especially in poor weather hence my annoyance at having to pay for snooker game,

however, my spa experience I felt was overpriced and did not fully deliver.

Eventually I used a different number and I got through to the hotel reception who then put me through to a manager to be able to pay in advance rather than on arrival.

I don't know the price of the room as it was included in my tour,

I can’t believe for the money we paid we get lousy service.

The young waiters don't make eye contact and when they do and you ask for something, they throw the things at the table. In addition, food is extremely expensive (they take advantage because there are not many options around .  )

Most expensive in that area and also most disappointing hotel.

However, when we went to the staff requesting to stay one more night in the same room, they told us we had to move to another one unless we pay 200 shekos more on top of the latest room rate.

It is really not worth the expensive price.

We got our room without waiting, the room was very clean and quite well equipied (kettle, coffee and tea, hairdryer).

The hotel was renovated leatly, The rooms were clean and bigger then usual, it has open view to the dead sea.

Everything was perfect: the rooms were clean, the food was excellent.

Very accommodating personnel, clean rooms and beautiful hotel.

I cannot believe what happened and I will NOT BE returning, recommending, or remembering this horrible, disgusting, embarrassing experience.

Then when I went to take a shower, the floor still had sand on it, the corners were filthy, and the shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

When I got home, I found out that the damage from this malfunctioning pool for me is a burns on my skin.

The first room smelled like there was feces all over it and the second room had a leak from the AC.

We booked 2 rooms, One of the rooms was with smell of feces so we change room.

This establishment is getting old and needs refurbishment

We didn’t ask to change rooms because it was to cumbersome and we were only there for 2 nights 

Most of the staff were friendly

And taking about the room - The biggest minus - old, smelly room not worth the price.

The closets we're squeaky, scratched, worn down, and smelled of mold.

The shower is still set in a bath with a nasty plasic curtain - not sure why a glass divider could not be put in its place and anyway the bathroom has not been renovated at all.

The rooms were so tired and ours smelled of cigarette smoke .

), bed sagging, furniture chipped, and that musty smell!!.

The carpet was filthy, the furniture bulging and old.

but the smell was so bad we had to stay in the same room.

Management is light and it’s a turn and burn facility with most guests only staying a day or two.

I then said to him that he should equally tell people that are smoking at the pool to stop

There was a nasty sock in the pool and no one seemed to care about it.

There was a bit of a musty smell in the hallways and we were surprised that there was no complementary water stand anywhere in the lobby or on floors- we literally had to go to the tourist trap minimarket to get water which is a bit lacking for a five star.

My only complaint really is the 10 am check out time.

We spent several hours roaming the ancient fortress, hiked down by foot and still had time for sumptuous hostel breakfast before checkout.

Beware 

If you think you will have a quiet desert experience you may be very disappointed  

In the facility groups are largely unsupervised and with the origin and nature of some of the groups its going to be very noisy evening and through the night In fairness we were wsrned by staff about that on check in

Then after the climb up Snake Path before sunrise returned on the cable car for a shower and Israeli style breakfast in the hotel before the 10 am checkout.

When using your mobile, if you have an Israeli SIM card, please make sure to check first what your phone "is seeing".

My recommendations would be to check into the hostel sometime in the morning or early afternoon, leave your bags there as the room isn't ready until 2 or 3 pm, take the local bus to the beach and enjoy the Dead Sea for the day.

The staff at the counters are rude and intimidating as well, it was quite the effort to do something as simple as check out a room.

Just be careful to double check when exactly you have to meet up before you start climbing the Snake Path in the morning.

This isn't necessary for those who get up early to climb before dawn and come back down before check-in time,

Our problem was the cafeteria was closed for dinner.

The pool was still closed for the season, which was disappointing.

When we opened the door and came in, a nasty cafeteria worker screamed at us that they are closed and she didn't care what time it was supposed to open.

My only disappointment was that the wonderful swimming pool that I remembered from a previous visit was closed

Swimming pool was empty and closed (not a big deal - the weather is not very hot today).

Unfortunately the pool was closed for the one night we stayed there and I didn't enjoy being swarmed by massive tour groups,

but it was closed in the evening, we could not use it.

We went out looking for food to discover that most places in Ein Bokek closed early, we found ourselves at the Aroma Cafe (mainly because of wireless internet) and had a good light meal.

The pool was especially refreshing given the hot and arid surroundings.

One can enjoy really nice pool and very good breakfast.

A fantastic pool that we used the first afternoon we arrived.

There’s still an air of the original hostel about the place, with small children dashing around the sizeable swimming pool and a family sense in the dining area,

but we were allowed to go to Masada and swim in the pool afterward.

Has a very nice large pool which we enjoyed after a very hot day.

my main issue- even with a pool ( not for winter) it is still a youth hostel- and have the atmosphere of youth hostel even in the room.

The staff is quite friendly, the place is very clean for a hostel and does even have a pool (closed during winter).

They also have a swimming pool and basketball courts within the compound.

With great location, clean and comfortable family room and a great outdoors swimming pool this hostel is more like a 4 stars hotel than a hostel.

It was clean, they had a lovely pool, descent breakfast with optional dining and it wasn't too far away from Ein Bokek.

but offers a fair breakfast, optional dinner and a pool.

Pool was excellent with awesome views of Dead Sea.

Ample and high-quality buffet breakfast and dinner.

Food was quite good for buffet cafeteria style.

Dinner is mediocre; especially for the price.

The food is quite good and it is quiet for the most part.

I recommend to buy a dinner as well- it is really fantastic.

You will not find any alcohol as it is a youth hostel.

There’s a good dinner buffet to be had at a very reasonable price in the downstairs restaurant.

The only food available here is a set price buffet.

Beside that, the food reminds me of the food in an army bootcamp.

The dinner was only 62 shekels per person and very nice.

The dinner was good and worth every penny.

We had the dinner the night before, which was very convenient for a large group, and ate breakfast after coming down from our hike in the morning.

Save room for dessert as there was a variety of nice desserts available.

The second best thing in my view is the food.

Food was excellent, much of it was prepared from scratch.

What I really liked about the rooms was their cleanliness, including the bathroom, which was large and with a daily change of towels.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff, clean rooms, nice breakfast included in the price, and a 3 minute walk to the entrance of Masada where we were able to hop on the snake path.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable with all the basic modern amenities.

This hostel maintains the standards of the really good Israel Youth Hostels - the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the design is such that it is easy for a group of friends travelling together to share a family room.

We appreciated the clean room, mini fridge, more than adequate bathroom facilities, lovely views, great shaded pool during the summer heat.

Walking distance to the snake past for hiking, ideally before sunrise.

Location was great for a one-night stay for our group tour after a "float" in the Dead Sea and for an early morning start for visiting Masada.

If you have a car it is WAY cheaper than staying on the sea.

but the building has been modernised and the balcony overlooking the Dead Sea is in itself reason enough to spend a day or two here.

The main warden was enormously knowledgeable and helpful (he sorted out the timings for the following day for me including a trip to the Dead Sea).

if visiting Masada and the Dead Sea are in your plans, you can't beat this place for value.

Still, great vacation and location, and the price beats every hotel at the Dead Sea

We recommend going up to visit Masada mountain early in the morning, when the sun rises.

but the sunrise hike to Masada is definitely worth the visit alone.

If you're thinking to walk up to Masada to see the sunrise, it's the ideal solution: you arrive here the evening before, you can relax at the pool and then leave at 4.45 in order to be on top at 6 just in time for the first ray of light.
