No tissue papers and I e booked a suite whatever they call this.

They never replenished the toilet paper and toiletries

Maintenance was terrible  - broken bins, airconditioners not working, used towels removed and not replaced, elevators not working, unfriendly staff, refusal to put bar bill on a tab, rusty bathroom fittings  - need I go on.

Issues ranged from no power back up so we missed tea breaks and had the worst experience in stuffy conference rooms, the loo was not well taken care of.

My bathroom smelt like smoke, when I was meant to be in a non-smoking room..

The basin outlet wasn't functioning properly and the hot water to the shower would periodically stop flowing, not a pleasant experience at 7am on a winter morning.

The bathroom has algae in the shower and on the ceiling.

but she was terribly bad with directions I had to climbe different elevators 4 times different floors in order to arrive at that ironing station already wasted around 17 minutes up and down getting lost asking others etc 

Then when back to bath the bathroom was dusty very terrible water was coming out of the shower the was no towel I had to walk on water from the shower

Then went to breakfast .

Several amenities were missing from our room as well and items had to be requested several times before they arrived.

The shower drain was blocked, so water pooled up inside the shower and took 30 minutes to subside.

only 1 soap and 1 shampoo for 3 GUEST for the ENTIRE 3/4 days.

Housekeeping was poor, no replenishment of amenities or clean/dry towels; the spa was ostensibly 'busy', with only three therapists working until 15h00 on a Saturday, breakfast was average- and not included on the last night stay, and room service for a simple coffee took 30 minutes, and demanded cash payment of R100!

The drain was smelly and the basin didn’t drain.

We had a siren going off in our bathroom every 10min. .

The thing that spoiled my experience was a drain/sewer smell coming from the bathrooms which were open plan to the room.

I almost dropped the shower soap stand - it's actually loose on the one side.

Ie: there was nobody to greet us when we arrived (18:30) nobody offered to take our bags - we carried them ourselves- the shower was blocked which flooded the bathroom, the rooms were made up

We rely on the internet due to job reasons 
Room is very spacious, clean with brilliant view to the sea.

Your laundry is then done and returned to you, clean and pressed along with your bedding on a daily basis.

It was so comfortable, spacious, neat, and such a beautiful space to be in.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable.The food is also great and they have a great variety.

The good news is that the design and decor is as clean and contemporary as the Cape Town hotel.

Views, cleanliness and staff attitude was superb.

the Hotel is in a good area,has friendly helpfull staff,the rooms are spacius and clean,if you need rest you can get  here for an affordable price , the restaurant is clean and the food is tasty,also the price is in the frame.

The room was very well appointed, clean and attractive.

Carpets in the suit needs a good clean and I would liked it if there was someone that could have assisted with the luggage as it was a long walk to our room and we had to carry our own luggage.

On my departure, I couldn't get an invoice because the computer didn't work.

From the rude receptionist to our room card not working for the better part of a day (went back 3 times to get it fixed and it’s a FAR walk to reception) and the room smelling like vomit, and room not cleaned until 14:30.  .

My colleague was charged for a dinner he did not have.

Was very shocked still then she proceeded with threats that she will charge me room service fee of R35 I asked why she said dats how it is done then I cancelled her order .

I do not come to  sleep in the hotel for ANC event so i do not understand why we should be billed similar tariffs like ANC delegates.

I asked the receptionist to send me the invoices.

(Let me take this opportunity to request my invoice because the lady at the reception gave me a proforma which is not what i requested)

Food was good, and the chef was friendly and accommodating.

The service is good, the people are friendly, the rooms are nice (i stayed in a junior suite) the food choices re: breakfast are good.

Check in was quick, efficient and friendly.

Staff generally helpful and friendly especially at the restaurant.

The comfort, service, friendly staff, breakfast, location should make it a 5 star hotel.

The staff had been really helpful attentive and super friendly, there was not a single time they were not there for us .

A great extra was the laundromat service available, there was a "laundry request" letter in the suite that you'd fill in if you wanted your laundry done, you'd put your laundry in the baggie provided and your washing would be collected from the room every day at 12 when the room is turned down.

I stayed one nigh at the Premier Hotel EL ICC for business, and I arrived before my room was ready and I needed a nap after my long journey.

The Premier hotel is a better hotel EL and has rooms that have a great view of the ocean and balconies.

I found access between the reception, restaurants, bars, parking and the rooms quite complicated and it is quite easy to get lost.

The place is beautiful and the rooms are very beautiful and it has got a sea view, the security do not want people whom they see he is drank to move around without knowing where he or she is going, I enjoyed being in that place I wish to go and sleep for more days its quote a good place to be.

My room was closer to the dining so i could access easily and the staff was welcoming and always there to assist.

On the surface it looks like it's an ideal professional environment.The rooms are big and more than avarage beds.

What is more is that the rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

The staff was very helpful and organised two rooms with connecting door.

the reception is situated in the east wing of the conference centre and my room was in the west wing.

but took some time off just to enjoy the luxury of my spacious hotel room.

The rooms were huge, in fact it was a suite.

Well located with some rooms having the best view of the sea.

Each room has a view of the ocean - which makes this the best option for accommodation.

The view from my room was very nice, though.

The rooms all have a see view with small balcony.

It was sad to be given one of the lowdown hidden rooms when there is this great sea view available.

Rooms are a bit smelly - - likely due to the humidity in the area.

The 2nd TV had so many “burn” spots that it made watching anything impossible.

some smells and missing lol paper and the worst of all.

Imagine if I slept on dirty linen, someone's sweat.

however there was a strange stale smell coming from the drains and the TV in the lounge area did not work properly.

Would rather have a standard room with no smell!

All staff are very polite and go out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed and at home during your stay.

In totality it was a good trip and well worth the money spent, hospitable staff made the entire experience just that much better for us.

Despite me calling the Reception several times.

She is indeed an amazing employee who made my stay worthwhile.

Staff clued up and very willing to assist with athletes needs.

The restaurant staff were quite cheerful and helpful.

Service at the reception desk was at best, average.

Upon arrival, the gentleman who checked me in was distracted at best and seemed very preoccupied.

The staff setting up the venue was more helpful.

The staff was very helpful always and offered sooedy assistance.

The rooms are extremely spacious with private balcony overlooking the sea and a desk for working at.

Very beautiful  NICE FOOD , NICE VIEW ,WELL-TRAINIED STUFF hotel I was there for 6 NIGHT .

and the view of the ocean was well worth the bit of salt air layered on the windows.

however make up for a disastrous stay.Beautiful view, and a great breakfast spread also lessened the disappointment.

The hotel has the makings of being a great hotel, nice views, large bedrooms etc,

The only positives are Musa in guest relations and the ocean.

My view is that this must be the best hotel in town, highly recommended.

I like this hotel chain a lot, having stayed in the Sea Point establishment on more than one occasion.

The view was spectacular with the port so close by that there was continually a changing environment on the ocean.

The weather was also nice for me and the temperature of the beach water.

The hotel is in an awesome location, right next to the beach.

The hotel is situated in a perfect spot close to the beach,

Great river views and just a few steps down to the fantastic "wild" beach.

Good breakfast and friendly staff, and the highlight was close access to the beach for a bracing early morning walk.

Nice location overlooking river with walking access to lagoon and nice beach.

Our daughter was lucky to have her dad book her a suite at The Blue Lagoon Hotel from where she could prepare for her Matric Farewell, have her photos taken, and sleep safely after those "after parties" we're all so aware off (as the hotel is superbly located near the main beach and the city).

This hotel is what you looking for if you want endless sand beaches.

Just a short walk to the river and the beach.

The location is perfect and you have acces to the wonderful beach.

I also enjoy the swimming pool and the location just next to the beach.

The breakfast omellette was spectacular (some of the premium hotels from the V&A Waterfront should come and see how it is done).

The hotel is situated next to the beach and a very quite and private place.The food is a five star food and the choice is very wide it caters for vegetarians also.The chef takes interest in the clients to check how satisfied are they with the menu of the day.

This property has a great location, our room was adequate, clean, spacious with a lovely view balcony.

One of the best meals in East London since EL is under serviced when it comes to the quality of cooked food ,boufe is of high quality and also how the meat is prepared.Beautiful location at the lagoon wish we could have a clear view of the ocean ocean view is better than a view of a drying lagoon

This hotel and position on the Nahoon River certainly sells East London as an idyllic destination.

While walking barefoot in the apartment after arrival I stepped into a piece a glass and a few doors down was a room that had a party into the morning hours for these reasons I didn't rate the accommodation a five.

Buzzing noise from the circuit box (video available) - how can we sleep while fearing to burn in our sleep) SCARY

This is a loud noise and continuous throughout the night much to one's annoyance.

During my previous stay a group of rowdy people cam back from some function and the party carried on in the parking lot.

Sounded like we were a party of 10 insted of 2 in a room.

Drunk people everywhere, loud music all the time.

If you value family time during the Night, then this place is not made for you, if you are on a business trip on a weekend , then this place is not made for you, If you dislike you private space and enjoy drunk people on your doorstep, Blue Lagoon is your valley!

Consider that there is a night club and you'll hear drunk people outside if you're a light sleeper on one of the ground floor rooms.

Very noisy parties in the parking area in front of my room.

but nothing was done and the party went on till 3am.

have stayed there  a few times before and always had good service and memoriesthis time was different  - booked a sea/ river facing room which I did not getstrong smell of sewrage  outside my roomgate access to beach was broken so could not get onto the beachpeople had a party through Friday night above our room

2018 was the year where playing hop scotch was the game, I was transfered to 3 rooms, after 1) The room was not completed, pillows missing the pillow cases, no hot water, aircon broken - room 2 ) looks like someone after cleaning the room had a power nap and forgot to make the bed again, room 3) besides for the broken tv and the faint smell of what ever it was it was the best of the three rooms, Taking into account that we had 7 rooms there only 1 person had no complaints

The hotel does not live up to a 4 star rating and value for money is poor.

however the quality of the linen, bedding and bathroom towels was poor.

We could not sleep or even relax as the noise levels were high due to poor design.

Room E08 was in poor shape, with badly hung curtains, a noisy bedroom window that didn't seal properly from wind, and bad TV reception.

The quality of food in the restaurant is generally poor, overprocessed and unhealthy.

However internet which is a must these days was very poor.

The bed linen was of poor quality and felt damp.

Breakfast was poor one morning both in the type of food and the quality.

Great location, pity about the slow and poor room service.

but need to ensure that the noise after 22:00 rule is adhered to.

During my last stay some idiot was hooting his horn at 00:40 in the morning.

The only thing I can fault is the beeping box for the night-guards which was a bit bothersome because it was right outside our apartment,

but we could hear EVERY noise from our neighbours who were drinking and loud the whole night.

Soundproofing needs improvement, the door from my room that seemingly lead to the room behind doesn't do justice.

I also appreciated how they managed noise by asking guests to stay indoors after 10pm and not stay on the Balcony.

Interleading door between units & extraction ducts seemed to allow sound to be transmitted from neighbouring rooms.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with my 4 year old son, he could not sleep with all the noise and shouting in the unit nextdoor and outside infront of our unit.

Shouting and screaming is something your children have to get use to.

Conference venue can be very noisy especially when different groups break at different times.

At night there was a party across our room with such loud noise, we informed the switch who promised to get security

I think if you book a room which is not located facing the parking lot where people start shouting around at 4.30am in the morning it might be nice.

Did not have proper sleep over the 2 days I was there, noisy guests at late hours and hotel phone waking you up at odd hours 2am, 3am very unpleased with the noise level.

The place was very noisy Friday evening well into the early hours .

The aircon was old and with a rattling noise.

Restaurant is good with variety of food in the menu.

Other than a few annoying things i.e guests making noise well past midnight, a few appliances not fully functional , staff is really great and the service at the restaurant is brilliant.

The place is heaven,I enjoyed every moment from the room to the food to the staff and the beach view I had from my room.
