although the bathroom was very dark and there was no surface to put toiletries (I feel that the owners of B@Bs should spend at least one night in each room so they can discover such issues.

This doesn't leave a good taste in anyone's mouth and I must say that this kind of thing reminds a person of our "dark" past in Sout Africa.

Our room, Safari 3, was an ensuite rondeval set in the garden.

Lovely thatched buildings in beautiful tropical gardens with a river running at the bottom makes this development feel more like the countryside than a city.

-	So you charged me for a 4pax (charging a baby of 7 months – advertised should be free) and child younger than 12 should only be R200.

The owner forgot to mention that in addition to selling the property as a "tranquil" guest house, it is also marketed as a children's party venue.

Children need to be responsible or supervised as there is access to the river and an unfenced pool.

-	I asked specifically about an oven – in my planning for Sat.

Only one set of towels was available and the 2nd set was never provided despite requesting for it.

My European husband asked if we could please have our own place - and I couldn't say no.

but there is zero cutlery, no plate, bowl or knife or fork to eat the food with.

-	The bigger pot and pan was so burnt I could not get it clean – again had to really struggle to get a simple dish done.

A place I associate with falling into the daughter role of doing the dishes and mediating between family feuds.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in River View 1, and let me tell you, I felt like royalty.

The room was always cleaned, it is peaceful & relaxing and the view by the lake is beautiful.

Eagle Manor is so gorgeous and well kept, the views and the surroundings make you feel as if you are at some private resort surrounded by just nature.

The accomodation and the surrounding incl the river view was fantastic.

Mid winter is pretty quiet in Gonubie, so we were offered a good deal on the penthouse, which had everything we needed (self catering) as well as a hearty hot breakfast.

Room 4 is very small, probably better for a single than 2 people,

Rooms 2 and 4 also have small balconies and limited ocean views.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to make sure your every need is met.

From 1st interaction regarding availability till when we booked out we received world class friendly and efficient service.
