There are a couple of shops onsite selling holiday essentials, along with bottled water as this is not supplied by the hotel.

I have to acknowledge that this hotel is my go to place for a holiday as I find it ticks all the boxes for me.

We would recommend this holiday if you just want to recharge, nothing crazy going  just everyone wanting relax.

Really enjoyed our stay here for a short 5 night break.

Would think it extremely busy in the main summer months with families as it is a very large hotel 
To conclude the cost for a week all inclusive and being entertained was very reasonable as a winter break away.

but to be honest, apart from sleeping - we don’t tend to spend a lot of time in our rooms on holiday so it was perfect for us.

What an incredible hotel one of the best holidays I have had by far.

We came on a family holiday with older children(17&19) and overall had a lovely stay.

We travelled for a 3 night short break on a package with TUI.

We are a group of four friends, late fifties to seventy, who take a short break, usually in the autumn.Its around our twentieth holiday.If you travel with Jet 2, its drop off three of ten from Arecife Airport.Check in was quick, to the point and professional.No smiles or 'Welcome'.Given directions to the accomodation.Its a sprawling complex and initially takes a bit of navigating.Room was functional and clean.Larce balcony overlooking three pools and the ocean.Decent bathroom with shower over bath.Two single beds.

The assistant manager Eva also welcomed us throughout our holiday checking in to see if all okay with our stay.

I don’t want to use my phone on holiday.

Firstly, what made it was the many couples we met on holiday who were a brilliant laugh.

All in all, a very relaxing holiday and would definitely consider returning.

We returned to this hotel after having an excellent holiday here last year.

If you want a family holiday it is probably a good choice.

Visit the Rubicon Marina, the Mall, Playa Blanca and the port, various beaches, the Montaña Roja and the lighthouse at the far western end of the island, if you feel up to it!

There is a supermarket and small shopping mall just five minutes walk and the shops on site are ok for gifts.

This hotel is very much like a shopping mall with 5 balconies of shops and odd bars.

We found the location first class for our needs - a pleasant walk to the wonderful marina of Papagaya with a good range of restaurants and shops.

Hotel is set in a very peaceful area and is situated about a 20/30 minute walk from the Marina and about 45 mins from the town centre.

The Rubicon Marina is about a mile along the coastal path, Papagayo shopping centre about 2 miles, and Playa Blanca marina (with ferries to Fuerteventura) beyond that.

Hotel is situated at far end of Playa Blanca - 25 min walk to Marina , 40 min walk to Playa Blanca centre ( taxi cost around €7 ), walk is beautiful on well laid path by the beach .

Destination: 25 min walk to the marina then another 15 mins walk to Papagayo Centre, you can walk it all from the hotel on the Costel path, or it’s €4-5 euros in a taxi !

We walked to the market at the Marina, took around 25 minutes and mainly level.

15 minutes walk from the side of the hotel takes you to the beautiful golden sands of Playa de Mujeres or 20 mins in the other direction to Rubicon Marina.

The walks to the Marina and Playa Dorada were fantastic and going the other way to the national park beaches were stunning.

We met some really lovely people and visited the Rubicon Marina and Play Blanca - taxis were very reasonable.

We walked to the marina one night which took about 30 minutes and then got a taxi back for €4.75.

The  marina is about 30 min walk along the coastal path once at the marina there is some lovely bars ,shops and a lovely market on Wed n Sat.

however was Alessandra on reception, who was a ray of sunshine, and dealt with any enquiry with competence and good humour, even promptly arranging for a wheel to be mended on our suitcase.

A brisk 20 minute walk to the Rubicon Marina and then another 30 minutes to the town centre.

20min walk along promenade to the marina with shops and restaurants Playa Blanca a further 15min walk on from there.

Fantastic views and a nice 30 minute walk to the marina.

A taxi back from marina at night was 4 to 5 euros.

The Marina is around a 35 minute walk, with one steep hill on the way there, the rest being predominantly flat.

It’s on the outskirts of Playa Blanca, about 20th a walk to the marina.

You can walk to the marina from the beach at the back of the hotel.

but we liked the walk into the Marina and the town.

but there is a nice 20 min walk to the Marina if you fancy a change.

The hotel is about 20 minutes walk to the marina where there are some restaurants.

Hotel is situated in a good area just a 15min walk to the marina which is gorgeous.

For those wanting to be in the centre of the town this is not the hotel for you, Plata Blanca is a 45-60 minute walk and the Rubicon Marina a 20 minute walk, the other way Papagayo Beach is a 30-45 minute walk behind the hotel where there are two excellent restaurants (often crowded).

Walk into the marina takes 30 mins we didn't walk any further

but we did on this occasion as there wasn't a huge difference in price and the hotel is around a 15-20min walk every night to the Marina if you want to eat.

but we knew this and happily walked to the marina in playa Blanca along the coast.

There is a 15-20 minute walk to the Marina and a further 15 mins into the next resort that is a lot busier with some lovely restaurants.

There is an a la carte restaurant, in contrast to other all inclusive hotels this didn’t mean table service of food, only the drinks and the buffet food on offer was themed as either Asian or Mexican.

You can also book the optional fusion or mexican restaurants

We went to the Fusion restaurant twice, once on Mexican night and once for Asian.

Would recommend booking one of the fusion restaurant nights (Mexican or Asian)
Staff were fantastic and the pool areas are a plenty with one heated pool in the winter.

Went to the mexican night and that was great.

but managed to get in to the Mexican restaurant which, whilst still buffet, was nice.

Sandwiches and loads more : I would recommend using the QR codes on arrival to book the Mexican and Asian, they also have an Italian restaurant at the back of the main restaurant with fresh pasta dishes cooked each night !

We really enjoyed the Mexican and Chinese restaurant for a change (book early via the QR codes at reception) - again lovely food and fantastic service from Echarli.

We managed to book mexican and thai which were lovely.

We opted for a Thai night and the Mexican night, to start you get shots, I had a sip and was not keen.

Food was really good (including buffet) and Asian and Mexican evenings were great.

although we preferred to eat al fresco, and we enjoyed the special Mexican & Asian buffet restaurant.

A separate waiter service  dining experience ( Mexican and Oriental alternate nights) a must.

Some other reviews had mentioned about the food, we felt it was an excellent choice with the Chef making a new special dish every day, our all inclusive package also had 2 A La Carte dinners which were Mexican and Chinese.

Likes the fusion restaurant too, we had 2 nice meals in here (Mexican and Asian) Food always being cooked and dishes replenished to ensure hot fresh food.

Definitely worth booking the Mexican restaurant we loved that, the Asian was ok

There is an alternative restaurant which is Mexican one night and Oriental the next night.

There was only one poolside toilet and that was in such poor condition that we couldn’t use it.

but it’s not great, the saunas are poor, but the jacuzzis are fantastic.

Our room was essentially nice - a full sea view that we didn't expect and relatively smart, albeit the bathroom was in need of refurbishment and the water pressure was poor (the hotter you want the shower, the quicker the pressure fell).

Snack bar poor rotten salad and dry bread and cheese.

but smaller, more congested and sometimes poor air con.

Needs a daily wash from end to end
Room maintenance, shower head sprayed around shower and not downwards so kept flooding floor, air con was poor and some electrical sockets were damaged so you couldn’t get plug in.

Overall, I found the room to be of poor standard, in need of refurbishment and updating.

If your easily pleased and not bothered about wasting your hard earned money then yes go for it - Otherwise don't bother

This is our opinion and know other reviewed rave about this place, that's fine, its a personal opinion based on experience of a stay, unfortunately this stay for us was well below advertised standards, service very poor and not worth the money.

4 - Very poor air conditioning, the room doesn’t go below 25C at any moment, no matter which low setting you try, it doesn’t go below that, even if you leave it running for 24 hours.

Evening shows in the theatre were poor we thought.

blend, anost, dusty (and not from the sand outside) poor hygiene (one mix WC outside pools).

We tried the Asian night and the food was very nice.

I have been to playa blanca for the last 35 years and loved it, stayed at many hotels, this is far the best for location, animation and entertainment, food, reception staff, especially Alvaro, no hotel can get  it right 100%

We were thinking of going out for Christmas dinner,

Now the clue is in the title "show" just stand and salivate as the chef cooks your steak as you like it or just grab one that's already done, your choice.

The hotel was spotless, the food excellent with so much choice, even the fussiest foodies would find something to eat.

This hotel has everything absolutely perfect -attentive staff - excellent restaurants and generous cocktails and drinks.

The restaurants were very good and loved the service and food quality as well.

though I didn’t try a cocktail as they were ready mixed.

There is also a restaurant and bar out by the pool, the restaurant serves burgers / hotdogs and you can self serve your own drinks, at breakfast there is a lot of choice

Standards of dress in the Royal Elite restaurant have fallen over the years and still going down.

Massive array of food available for everyone's taste.

Entertainment was very good every evening from 9.30 to 11.00
The buffet meals were fine.

So we have only been here for 6hrs so far and all I can say woow first of make sure you upgrade to the package above all inclusive as it amazing 
Room modern and beautiful - thanks to upgrade bottle of bubbles on room , coffee machine , chocolates on bed , slippers, robe , towels amazing little extras 
Then we went to the elite restaurant today and the food was amazing , the staff are amazing the chefs can cook service perfect like I said I'm writing this on my first evening and I've got another 6 days and more to come

Fortunately they had an infinite supply of peanuts which was our staple snack food for the week.

But I found lunch and evening meals quite “samey” each day.

The rooms were kept clean and well serviced during our stay.

The rooms and the whole hotel is exceptionally clean and spacious.

The rooms are spacious by today's standard and beds are comfortable with an excellent cleaning service.

This was our second visit and we were generally happy with everything with the exception of the air conditioning in our room.

Room:  are very spacious and no complaints except the pillows have seen better days.

The evening entertainment is extensive and includes first class cabaret and additional theatre plus the Green Room where you can listen to the piano and or saxophone.

but he said that our room had been upgraded which was a great start to our stay.

Room was comfortable with a great sea view.

The room was particularly nice and large and with the door open you could listen to the waves all night long - which was something we particularly enjoyed.

You have a safe in the room which you  make your own secure code for.

Rooms were freshly  painted decorating going on throughout hotel.

Food is lovely rooms clean and tidy and house keeping was spotless.

Pros- clean& spacious rooms, was upgraded to sea view on arrival, all areas on hotel were clean, lots of toilets and places to get drinks, friendly staff (aqua fit and crazy games team were very good), breakfast selection was nice, plenty of pools to pick from, lots of activities/entertainment thoughout the day.

The in room TV featured UK channels "1 to 4".

Tiles around the adult pool cracked and grout missing, bins over flowing by the pool, sun beds were filthy and needed a good wash down.

Rooms are nice, nothing special really given the star rating and cost, large king bed or 2 singles pushed together, couch which has seen better days, bathroom needing an update with a step in bath for a shower, damp smell from the sink area.

1  Smoking, people ignore no smoking signs and at one point in the pool bar 4 separate tables had people smoking causing a couple with a baby to move because of the smoke on their child.

Pool area spot mopped once during our week and debris (drink straws, lemon slices, general debris) and spilt drink stickiness on the tiles.

When we arrived our floor in the room was filthy, our feet were black.

I only had one issue this year and that was how hot and uncomfortable it was sitting in the theatre at night, it would be so much nicer with some aircon in there, we couldn't cope in there for very long and our children were dripping with sweat after the mini disco, I feel sorry for the staff that have to work in those conditions.

They smelled awful and they often ran out of toilet paper.

These doors are open a lot, and it smelt like they were drying out a sweaty old horse in there every night.

Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten and the Mexican night was also disappointing- the chicken used in the curry and fajitas was to put it mildly disgusting!

Slight niggle was that it did on occasion smell of sewage

Air-conditioning in room smelt of sewage. Disgusting.

He arrived (stank the room out with body odour), without asking, starting fixing it and left a sea of debris all over the floor and went.

The AC just recirculates damp air, despite asking twice for it to be checked.

but I can say we had a lovely holiday and would otherwise recommend the hotel due to the quality of the entertainment, friendly staff and nice food.

The staff here are amazing and cannot be more helpful, they all work so hard.

The staff were really good, helpful and very happy to accommodate.

Especial thanks to Ava - Assistant Manager who was exceptional and clearly will be valued by the company.

The irony of this is reception is meant to welcome you and be helpful.

but very good and served a bottle of wine instead of helping yourself to a glass.

but only not constantly, just mostly), coffee that tasted like soap because, what I assume, part of the machine was washed but not rinsed properly, a pocket door that could barely move with a good amount of force, and brown and black splatter spots around the toilet paper holder.

There was mold all over the bathroom tiles, sink, and floor.

Noisy room, shower made smoke alarm go off. Disappointed.

The bathroom vanity issue never got resolved.

The kitchen wasn't equipped with utensils, no dishwashing soap, the dish soap was used, no kitchen towels.

Vents look like they haven't been cleaned in years, crevices in bathroom gunky, the garbage can and bathroom door had visible splatters one can assume to be vomit.

This may have come from flushing toilets or faucets and it was from adjacent rooms either above or below or beside.

Room 731 I was stayed was the drawer in the minibar is dirty there was a dirty disposable utensils and disposable napkins, mirror on the hallway wasn’t wiped good there was a film of water, I didn’t complained because there was a longline in front desk

I've never heard of 2 security guards accompanying a plumber to fix a leak while the guest is naked.

The bathroom was tiny and a momentary shower resulted in clouds of steam and everything wet.

I didn't realize how small the bathroom was- if you are over 6ft, I wouldn't recommend because of how small the shower is.

although people with mobility problems could have a problem as baths are pretty deep.

Also, unrelated, the pool is not heated and there is no hot tub, for $634 you’d imagine they could afford to upgrade the hotel amenities.

No fan in the bathroom and the water pressure was low in the shower.

Only 2 sets of towels  in the bathroom; there were 4 of us in the reservation!

The Fridge cut out and leaked all over the floor during the night which made me slip and fall.

but I’ve never seen a soap that thin before in my life!)

Very noisy room, continuous rumbling noises and very loud air conditioner vent noise 24/7 in bathroom and unable  to turn off the noise (even with bathroom door closed).

The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in A WHILE.

The breakfast buffet is a great value, great other food to explore on property and with a Starbucks in the lobby, can’t be beat.

Just in the lobby there is a Starbucks and a nice place to get a drink on the lobby level (also great friendly service with small bites).

It was nice to have a Starbucks in the lobby.

Very handy having a Starbucks in the lobby.

The staff we both encountered were friendly, a large pool deck offered a refreshing dip in the afternoon, there's a fitness center, hair salon, busy Starbucks in the lobby and, a variety of small shops on the lobby level where I found some cute Snoopy items to take home.

A great location (close to the shopping centre and its amenities), a comfortable (albeit cosy) room, and friendly staff.

The location is very convenient and the renovations are great,

Hotel is so conveniently located to everything in Honolulu/Waikiki.

The location is perfect with the mall, restaurants, spas and beach in walking distance.

The best location, easy to get your exercises in, walk to a lot of interested points.

Everything you need in one hotel from stores to cafes and restaurants and simple short walk to open air mall with stores galore and food court so many choices.

Also other options available within the short driving distance outside the shopping mall.

The only convenient part about this hotel is that it’s attached to Ala Moana mall.

The mall is attached so its a great place to stay if you need to shop.

The convenience factor was off the charts – we were able to park our vehicle for just $25 per night in the adjacent mall garage, connected to the motel via a convenient sky bridge.

Next door to the big shopping mall so very easy to pick up things
