but with the construction of the new boardwalk all that has been totally spoilt.

There is some construction on the outer buildings and the Beach area, one of the hotel guests we go to know had to move rooms because the construction was outside her room and was very noisy, there is no direct walk from the pool onto the beach anymore, as there is a long pathway thas has been build along Westbeach and this has separated the hotel and beach directly, this pathway is filled with Beachbards Clubs and Restaurants, St Regis is building a beach club directly opposite the adults pool so the beach view is now permanently blocked which makes some of the video and pictures of the Fairmont outdated.

The construction work was not intrusive, noisy or a eye sore so it was never a issue.

but Dubai is under permanent construction so not unexpected & also it didn’t really bother us.

but I haven't included this in my rating as I knew about it beforehand from the webcam and there are not many places in Dubai that you can completely escape construction. 7.

Something my holiday provider never told me was that the Flow kitchen buffet was going to be the same each night due to ramadan and that's something that's gone into a separate email of complaint, We have also commented on the construction around the pool area as we wasn't told about that either!!!

Our room was on the 9th floor and overlooked enormous floodlit construction sites on both sides.

People walking on the street can look in and during my stay I noticed that the men working on the construction site would stare continuously as they walked passed in the adults pool.

Construction noise most might be aware of that.

Only beach view is not as great as before as a new club is under construction blocking the views.

Not so great: noise from construction work from 6.30 every morning (windows need to be sound proof) + hotel needs an update, furniture and carpets are stained, outdated and worn out.

We didn’t have any noise issues with construction,

I talked with workers yesterday, they told that the construction continues until February at minimum.

However the construction work went through the night.

The beach was scruffy with various bits of rubbish and bottle lids still on it despite apparent litter picking and the entire water’s edge and into the sea is full of sharp stones making leaving the water especially for my elderly parents awkward and uncomfortable , it has construction work ( again) going on next to it and suspect that stone/sand debris is shifting across.

The WiFi was a little weak at some parts of the hotel and there was a construction site on the right side of the hotel which wasn’t loud at all

Nice staycation location with views of the Dubai Eye and JBR.

The Room had a fantastic View over the Marina and the Dubai Eye.

This is a very nice asset and the view over the palm and Dubai Eye is gorgeous.

Great venue with great seating outdoors overlooking the Dubai eye!

Rooms were specious, see view from higher floors is definitely nicer than lower floors, overviewing Dubai Eye.

Planning to try Brazilian Restaurant Frevo tonight!

We went with the Fairmont Gold package which give access to the private lounge where you can have drinks, afternoon tea, canapes and 2 hours of free alcoholic drinks each evening 5-7pm.

Free shuttle bus to Dubai mall and Mall of the Emirates.

Plenty of free bottled water by the pool and in room.

Water is provided throughout the day and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the malls.

We purchased the Fairmont Gold package, which includes afternoon tea and happy hours with free in-house drinks!

There was also a free shuttle bus that takes you to Dubai Mall and to The Mall of Emirates.

Half Board option was amazing value, with plenty of choice and the added bonus of choosing different dishes for a small supplement.

Tony discussed gluten free options for me and the food was amazing.

Great location so only 9 minutes on the monorail to Atlantis or 10 minutes in a taxi to the Marina, the hotel also provided a free shuttle to the Dubai Mall where the Burj Khalifa and fountains are.

Currently at the hotel and so far I have been told that the policy for free water at the pool is 1 per guest

Free shuttle bus to emirates mall and Dubai mall and has its own private beach.

They catered so well for gluten and dairy free requirements.

More offers on drinks (soft & alcoholic) would encourage more spend at the hotel as looking around guest mainly drank the free water!

but also kid friendly which is always a bonus.

You also get a free bottle of water which is cool too.

I booked fairmont for £300 par night with halfboad yet I couldn’t evan get free water with my meal.

The funny thing is, they give free water bottles in the room,

I would also expect free water in restaurants for a 5 star hotel.

The location is central to the Palm and the facilities in the hotel are first class.

LMI is located at the Fairmont, Palm Jumeirah.

The location is great  the resort is good

We’d definitely come back it’s a superb location near to everything !

Shublan from housekeeping was absolutely excellent and really looked after our family who were all located in seperate rooms.

I was so delighted that we had chosen to stay at The Fairmont as it offered us a fantastic experience of Dubai and is very central in its location.

It’s not a bad location, you can walk over to Nakeel Mall & it’s a short cab ride to The Pointe

Hotel is in the midst of the palm and perfect location.

This is exactly the same if you find a price tag with the wrong price in the store, you have every right to pay exactly the price that is indicated.

When i booked this resort, i was told a price which was different when we reached there.

Don’t use hotels taxi get the ones with coloured roofs hotels one is ten times as expensive!

The last few days of our holiday have been spent over at Raffles the Palm where we paid for day passes.

If you do go to the restaurants and choose from their really limited half board menus- be warned that ‘it’s against policy’ to bring water from
your room and you will need to pay around £7 for a bottle of water.

but could’ve used some renovations, it’s a bit old but it was for a reasonable price.

but we were at their mercy so had to pay what we had accrued.

We were aware of the no drinks at dinner and costs beforehand,

It’s a bit tired, there are not enough sun beds for the number of guests, kids are allowed in the adults only section ( what’s the point of having an adults only pool) and I suppose you get what you pay for.

Please watch as taxis really are not expensive.

Drinks in general are very expensive (no shock for Dubai)

The prices must be fixed by the local government as they all had the same meters.

A bottle costs 24 dirhams which is equivalent to £5.38.

It was also our most expensive holiday, and it has put me off staying on the palms again.

Our dinner experience at the Flow Kitchen was a let down, especially when factoring in the cost per head (195 AED per adult).

You needn't have pre paid for breakfast or if you don't want big dinners, needn't go elsewhere (which I didn't on my first night).

Mini bars well stocked with water which is needed in the 40+ heat, drinks prices extorting high probability driven by tax’s !

They were so outdated and it was sooooooo low to the ground (the little bed) that you’re just like forget it.

I don't know why it wasn't updated on their system?

The hotel rooms still have no Wi-Fi and when asking for updates as my nephew has autism and needs Wi-Fi (which the hotel were made aware of in advance) the staff just keep saying we are working on it.

I'd say it was a good hotel it sadly didn't exceed my exceptions and some areas I found to be quite tired & in need of renovating

The rooms are very outdated, and the curtain rail was broken, and I had asked for this to be repaired several times

The beach could do with a bit more updating

No phone call to say it was ready , had to chase to find out updates .

I then with all respect told her that i hoped they would change the booking Update issue so other costumers in the future wouldnt risk to spend their holiday on such things.

I Hotel could have warned us re the building works   

I will send a further update re all the supplements added to half board restaurants as in effect choices are very limited and you end up paying the equivalent of a full price in England.

The room didn't show any signs of aging really and still seemed in good condition.

Both Mary and Rhea at the concierge desk volunteered to call the airline and follow up on our luggage status, keeping us updated with a letter we found under the door the next morning.

Long story short we had to chase everyday for an update

but in need of some refurbishment with some missed tiles and other tiles ‘bodged’ into place with thick cement.

The bathroom seemed a bit outdated, everything got very wet when using the shower of the bathtub, towels were not luxurious at all.

The rating of our stay is justified only by the service received from the staff at the Fairmont.

I would like to commend Jaycin, Vaibha V. and Asanka who were very accommodating during our stay at Fairmont.

The staff were excellent throughout our stay and were looked after exceptionally well by Vaibhav, Asanka, Gilbert & Jaicen from the gold lounge in particular.

He was very courteous and even got my wife and I the last of the date pudding from the kitchen as it had all finished.

Very friendly staff nothing is to much trouble.

The food and the ambiance is amazing my family had a grate time they have good selection of wines and the staff is so supportive and friendly.

I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant and it’s excellent staff.

All the staff were helpful, courteous and friendly.

We loved everything about it- every single member of staff was fabulous- impeccable service, always with a smile.

had stay at Fairmont de Palm, they have a great service, very detail orientated,  only good things to say, especially regarding Mr. Shubham, alwwayd helpfull when need it

All the staff have great customer service and nothing is too much trouble.

He was friendly, courteous, helpful and attentive.

Beach towels and as much cold water as you wanted were provided.

It is so packed around the pool with people putting towels out before breakfast making it difficult to get a spot.

On complaining some attempt was made to change the towels .

The guys who open the doors, the guys who give you your towels and water, housekeeping, the lifeguards.

We were offered no drinks and told that we would have to walk back to where the towels are for water.

AFTER USING THEM THE TOWELS HAVE TO BE RETURNED.

You get a towel and bottle of water when you go to the pool or beach each day.

It would make much more sense to have another towel stand/cupboard over in that area, along with water.

The guy giving out towels & water was fantastic….my husband shook his hand every day, which then became a given every time we passed him.

Cleaners came daily to make beds and change towels.

The only disappointing thing was the towels in the bathroom.

And you get to feel bottles of water when you collect your towels.

Linings smelled a bit and the towels were not soft.

There is a policy where unattended beds have their towels removed after 30 mins

From the reception, to the service, to the cooks, to the door opener, to the towel stand.

Beach towels were given to us covered in poo.

Then on our 3rd night we returned from a day out to find our bed covered in fresh rose petals, towel hearts& swans & another sumptuous dessert for our anniversary!

When I did find three beds that appeared to have been vacated with towels just heaped in a pile on one bed the attendant was reluctant to allow us to use them saying that the occupants might be swimming in the sea,  I had to point out to him that if this was the case surely they would have left some belongings.

The adult only pool was great and we always found a sun bed regardless of the time of day, the staff did seem to be proactive in removing towels for those who found it to difficult to place them in the used basket!

To wake up each morning in a beautiful room looking at the Sea was magical.

Our room was stunning with amazing views, and everything we could have needed was provided.

Our room 543 with a gorgeous sea view was kept spotless, clean towels, water and toiletries were replenished daily.

Lastly the hotel has a few restaurants visit there instragram pages to view more , it’s on another level of serious taste and flavour.

We have just returned from a 10-night stay in a sea view suite on the Fairmont Gold Lounge level (Suite No. 841).

We booked a sea view room which was very spacious and comfortable.

Stayed at the one bedroom suite and the view of the sunset/JBR & Palm skyline from the jacuzzi was amazing every time!

Everyone was very helpful and the hotel is a great place to stay,  with incredible views and a nice beach to visit.

The room i had with a jacuzzi was really nice and the view was just Wow.

Room was great, the view from our room stunning.

What used to be a nice open vista to the beachfront and sea is now jam packed with beach club after beach club pumping out its own variety of attention grabbing club music all day and all evening.

Little India, BA Bold Asian and the  Sea Grill Bistro have been the best hotel restaurants that we have stayed in.

The food both in the restaurants and the buffet is amazing , can't say which is our favourite, BA was truly stunning , little miss India never fails in amazing food , and frevo is a must do for great meat feast and drinks.

He suggested me to try the air balloon sunrise experience and it was truly amazing.

Lovely stay here in a stunning  well run friendly hotel don’t miss out going to Little Miss Indian or Seagrill food it just amazing service was great if you go here defo get club lounge access well worth is as alcoholic extortionate

I was absolutely blown away by this hotel, the location was perfect, the staff are easily the best i have ever experienced in any hotel i have stayed in and the room and especially the view was breath taking, over looking the Dubai marina, I could see JBR beach and the palm and a bit of the Dubai eye from my balcony it was amazing.

Location is the best thing for honeymooners near to JBR, Marina walk and Dubai eye

but they don’t, the elevator noise does not let you sleep at night, room Seevice and house keeping is very poor, I would not stay here ever again, even if it was free

Limited poor selection of drinks for what they boast Club - lifts advertisement show cocktails - none to be had!

- the hotel is so overbooked, there’s a 5 min queue to get onto the lift.

Twin rooms have poor view out back over there industrial area, 2nd Restaurant (Italian) poor by Dubai standards, lifts slow.

The main road is right behind it so you have that constantly and the room we had 3208 was right next to the guest lifts AND the service lift so we had that din all night and from early the next day.

We have to go all the way to ground floor and take another elevator near the restaurant.

I have waited 15 minutes for the elevator during me check-out and then waited 20 minutes at the queue for check-out.

We got to the room and it was next to the lift with the constant “ping” going off it’s hardly a quiet room.

The location is also great, 7 minutes from the nearest METRO station.

Great location.. i cannot say a bad word about this place.. every single member of staff couldnt have been more pleasant.. helpful.. knowledgeable .. i have stayed all over the place

The hotel is well located, staff is kind and at your disposal, Especially Joseph and Qadir made us feel at home.

Food was nice and the location of the hotel was good in marina..free bus to beach,to metro and  marina.

The rooms are very nice, and the area is quite clean.

We requested a Cot for our little girl and it was sent to the room straight away.

This hotel was absolutely spotless.. rooms great size.

Our room was spotless and came with complimentary tea/coffee/water and a fruit basket.

On the bright side we had an amazing room attendant HARISH who is always smiling and ready to assist.

We received a free upgraded room and it was immaculate.

Throughout our 7 days stay we enjoyed the view of Dubai Marina in a room that is better than a normal hotel room, the interior is well thought and the room is bigger than usual.

Summary
Other than the front desk staff, who were slow at checking people in, telling lies and just being rude , we had a good stay.

A very rude lady took exception to this followed by her banging down on the table bottles of beer 😡. Why????

Staff at restaurant at dinner time were very rude and don’t enjoy fulfilling your requests.

Horrendous service and food and beverage department caused daily problems
Hotel manager was rude and aggressive
Dirty plates, food and old mattresses left in the hallway
So many options for hotels Dubai - Don't stay here

but one of the receptionist was very rude when we checked in.

The hostess who was at Alloro on our first day was very rude to us

On check in the staff were very rude and then we were offered to upgrade to a room with a balcony for 300aed

but when lady heard we are not interested in whatever she was selling (mainly bus trips with a big group and a russian guide that would stop everywhere possible in Abu Dhabi and stay there for like a few pictures and then move on) - she became rude and literally said ''Noone is going to adjust the trips just because you want it''.

The staff were very good and couldn’t do enough to help any queries..

The staff are very friendly, they greet you all the time.

The staff was amazing, particularly Marriam & Ayoola, they were very friendly.

I wish you prosperity, kindness, prosperity, harmony and happiness!

Door staff are particularly friendly and helpful.
