Having lived in Dubai I guess I know one or two things about Shisha 
The service @ the Shisha lounge was amazing 
Priyadarshana and Captain Mahesh made the experience memorable and entertaining 
I rate it very high and worth visiting again

but was fine and the room was clean but beginning to look a little dated (not helped that I'd just spent 4 nights in a brand new hotel in Dubai).

The service was exemplary, especially Suren, who looked after our every requirement, and had a great eye for detais.

The 21% promotion was the most eye catching one that I was able to experience which they topped it up with a perfect service.

Like a General, Udaya was keeping an eye on everything; he seemed to be Omni-present. 2.

The Christmas martini menu was what we had our eye on as the drinks were fun and innovative!

A special thanks to Sidath our Banquet Manager for arranging everything on time, his clean eye to detail and curating everything to make such a smooth flow for such a large event.

All in all the location is great, the building is well maintaned and very pleasing to the eye so I would recommend anyone visiting Sri Lanka to check it out for sure!

It was a long day in work came with my freinds for a sheeshaa at cinnamon grand.

When i splashed hot soup on my eye Chamath even brought some ice water and a towel to make sure i was fine.

It’s been very eye opening coming to Sri Lanka after the horrific bombings that occurred over Easter this year.

The interior decoration is eye candy and the choices for dining in the hotel are extra bonuses.

It was a nice place to stay arround Colombo.hotel was very clean and staff is very friendly and keep the eye for costumer as well.it is very close to crescat shopping Mall.and walking distance to the galle place.

The entrance and the lobby have some really lovely decorations which are pleasing to the eye.

Great live music with a three piece band.

Beautiful ambiance with relaxing Sinhalese music performed by a live band.

Loved the upbeat music that comes on around 1730.

Good music on the background: Milan who was looking at our table was on the ball to serve us better feeling like home .

Decided to stay till late night in the tea lounge since there was an amazing band playing some soothing music.

Walked into an amazing jazz saturday night.

Also nice environment and calm music feel better experience

Would say Thank you for great service from Andhika, Wasalage, Krishmal, and Dananjaya, that made our dinner more memorable with accompanied by beautiful music and very tasty and spicy tradisional food of Srilanka.

My kids were right on top and amused by lovely background live music.

There was also live Sri Lankan music which was very calming.

Good food, good Ambiance, Variety of food, best place to try Sri Lankan food, love the outdoor setting combined with Sri Lankan music,   value  for money.

And live music also there and there are really good.

People were friendly and music was balanced.

The props and set up resemble a typical village with live classical music and traditional dance.

Best place.relax & gratefull customer service with music its awesome.

The high tea provided by cinnamon grand tea lounge was an amazing spread assisting by friendly staff special thanks to Themini who assist us for a great evening surrounded with a peaceful music, hope to visit back again

And in comparison with the buffet restaurant of the Cinnamon hotel in Maldives some food options were quite poor.

The only thing that elevates this hotel from a rating of poor are the fantastic restaurants on site.

We went on a Friday where there was music being played at poor area which was kind of loud.

but the manager duty and room service were humble and apologatic for the delay and poor service.

Overall I felt it was overpriced  and the service was poor.

She was immediately approached by a staff member and asked to leave the area due to her poor dress state and asked not to traverse the public areas again dressed only in swimwear.

The food is mediocre I ordered room service and the pasta tasted awful and the bolognese  sauce had nothing to do with bolognese and everything to do with horrible food I worked as chef in Michelin star restaurants and trust me i know .. the service is slow and  poor quality .

It was poor experience that I received from the point where I had to park the car.

but the poor quality of food brings it way down.

Food was great, fresh and tasty as always.

Wealthy locals come to the buffet for dinner - they know the best place in town and this is it.

It wasa pleasure to having a fabulous dinner at you hotel tonight celebration of my mother's  birthday and food was so delightful and servise was enormous and staff was so friendly.specially Mr Sameera and Meuru gave a wonderful lovely service.so thank you very much for your servise for tonight hope to see you again guys

We had a wonderful time when we visited for dinner.

We went to the Plates restaurant for lunch to celebrate hubby's birthday.

The food was amazing, especially the spread at the buffet.

Good food and great customer service by Sanjeewa, Priyanga, Suranga!!!

Fair selection of bites and I enjoyed the grilled chicken with the brown sauce.

The set up is under a huge nuga tree with the traditional Sri Lankan cuisine presented in mud huts to bring in the so called  ‘gami feeling.’ Excellent service by Ashoka, Nilmini, Wasalge  and Dilruk.

The variety and the selection of food was really good.

The food was extremely delicious and mouth watering.

Recently had a sunday brunch at Cinnamon grand plates restaurant and we were offered superb food and service!!

I might add the noodles restaurant and service is fantastic.

When we called the hotel the receptionist didn’t even listen to what we had to say which was extremely rude!!

The lady at the front desk was very rude (at least until she realised that we were in-house guests) and when approached for help gave me the impression that she had better things to do.

Once i walking to the entrance there was one wearing the black blazor i smiled he was so rude as well no smile from him like if i was walking to his hotel

the staff Mr. Asanka Fernando always in the hotel lobby,i think he maybe is a manager,but his attitude was terribly bad ,he speaked to the guests very loud and very rude.

This was not nice and I thought that was rude, as if we were kids staying past our bedtime.

but - even worse - that the concierge was so rude and totally unhelpful.. On my return to Colombo (NOT staying at the Cinnamon Grand) I complained about the incident to a manager called Davina, who lamely said she'd look into it.

The staff is rude and will try to cheat you.

but not overpowering - and it is representative of Sri Lankan cooking.

Slight odor in the hall on the 7th floor that needs to be addressed.

One thing to note, though, specially for non smokers, like myself!

However, some guests smokes in their rooms and it  can smell the entire hallway.

As per local regulations smoking is not permitted in confined areas.

The whole purpose of food being served to us is defeated when guests are walking around, mask-less, and breathing onto the food and even handling the utensils themselves when no one’s looking.

Only disappointment was the Christmas Night Dinner on Nuga Gama, Plates and the Cutleries were un-clean and the smell came from Cashew Curry wasn’t good at all.

Rooms for children smelled of cigar smoke.

Lots of different shisha flavors, tobacco and non tobacco.

Hope they do something about it because as a non-smoker, I found the smell not very pleasant.

The main area that represents an "authentic English pub" is given over to the smoking area so those who do not smoke are seated in what is effectively a corridor and an ante-room - and the smoke is all pervading.

I didn't like the first room we had (508) as it seemed very musty smelling and almost damp.

Rooms were a bit outdated and smelled a bit funny, probably from the moisture.

I had a shocking experienced when I was hosting two friends for lunch this afternoon, one of my friends discovered a worm in my Laksa noodles in the Noodles Restaurant (2nd January 2019), pictures are below
 It is rather disgusting to note that a Five Star Hotel has fails to maintain hygienic standards, especially in food served, of a high degree as expected.

The room smelled musty, and was outdated.

It stinks and it looks more like a public toilet.

but there was a damp, mildewy odor in there for the duration of our stay.

The interior of the hotel has a dull, old look to it and reeks of a weird smell.

He is very professional and attentive to all the guests and always has a special smile which gives us a feeling of home from home.

Milan was very helpful and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay.

Special shout out to Milan for his excellent service he was very helpful, polite and friendly.

Went the extra mile by arranging for extra vegetarian items for my mother.

Dilara was absolutely amazing and definitely an asset to your restaurant.

Milan and Sadeepa served us very well and they were attentive and efficient.

Very helpful and friendly trainers available anytime we need.

It’s been over two weeks now since we got back filled with the warmth of memories and hospitality of tge inly hotel in Sri Lanka colimbo that we truly call home.

My first experience with Cinnamon Grand Flavours food delivery was exceptional, from the first call to confirmation of recipe of order.

This is excellent high tea experience In cinaman grand Hotel.

It was a better experience and Mr. Milan gave us a good service.

True unbelievable service which I have not seen anywhere and I have stayed everywhere from Mauritius to Dubai.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for my son's 21st birthday, it was a choice of mexico or Dubai and I'm so glad we stayed here.

We've travelled to the Maldives, Dubai , America, Europe, so after reading all the brilliant reviews on here I was really hoping for something outstanding.

El Guacho had amazing steak (Rib eye was super delicious).

I got the rib eye and my wife the chicken.

butlers provide a highly level of individualized service to their guests, butlers such as Paris Garcia, Martha B Diaz and Patsy Gomez strive to anticipate the needs and wishes of each of their guests, ebutlers such as Johnatan Nava who has a keen eye and attention to detail ensuring each room is personalized for guests and anticipating returning guests needs, chefs such as Igor Labastida and  Fidel Hernandez who create culinary works of arts for their guests and support their team to ensure allergies and food restrictions are adhered to so that all guests feel safe and valued, waitstaff such as Alain Cauich Puc, Ana Chable Zapata and Abraham Pat who greet guests as dear friends and get to know each guest as individuals, and members of the entertainment group such as Johnathan Snchz and Diana Cantù Perez who strive with passion for their art and commitment to guest enjoyment to create great guests experiences.

We enjoeyed eveverything we were recommended especially the empanadas and the rib eye.

Other recommendations include the Rib Eye at Gaucho, Fondu and french onion soup, sea bass at Boheme.

Abraham our server was great fun and amazing at keeping an eye on us throughout the night!

It was such a wonderful welcome after a very long, stressful journey that it actually brought a tear to my eye.

Steaks in El Gaucho (Argentinian steakhouse) were first class, especially the Rib Eye.

And despite an empty drink sitting there, she would make eye contact and just turn and walk away.

we drove home with a crying eye and will definitely come back again!

but the cuts we got were not rib eye and New York strip.

We arrived on the red eye flight with WestJet from Vancouver, departing from Calgary, and made it to the resort around 9:30am.

The El Gaucho has a delicious lemon chicken and the El Dorado had a very tender rib eye.

Best restaurants for dinner were:
 el Gaucho ( chef Manual came to the table and took our order and made a special hibachi dinner with shrimp, salmon, bass, rib eye, sirloin and roasted vegetables that was served table side.

I don't think our room was swept at all while were there and anything above eye level hadn't been dusted in months.

From the filet and coconut shrimp at Helios, the bone in rib eye at El Groucho, the onion soup at La Boheme, and the pizza and pasta at Tentazione.

The first time we went we ordered the bone-in rib eye and they were huge.

but before one can blink and eye, two of the best drivers, Frank and Migel, are there with welcoming hugs and their services.

It was absolutely a wonderful vacation for us!

We can safely say this was the best holiday we’ve experienced.

Also special thanks to the duty manager, Braulio, who did his best to enjoy our holidays and made sure that we could leave in time when our taxi did not show up.

Highly recommend for a special occasion or a luxurious getaway!

This was a great couples getaway destination and I would recommend to anyone looking for a romantic relaxing getaway with great food.

Just returned from a fabulous holiday at TRS Yucatan.

I have never been on such a beautiful, relaxing vacation!

We also would like to highly commend Martha at Helios who was friendly , accommodating , and looked after us throughout our entire holiday.

A daytrip to the maya ruins in Tulum, a snorkel adventure with sea turtles, a swim in a cenote followed with an authentic mexican dinner in a local restaurant of the beaten path, made our mini vacation complete.

Absolutely 100 percent best vacation I have ever experienced.

After two great trips to TRS Coral resort including our wedding back in February 2023 we decided to give TRS Yucatan a try on a long weekend, pre-holiday getaway and it did not disappoint!!!

Alex at the infinity pool kept bringing us drinks without us asking and he made sure we were enjoying our time.

The Infinity Pool and Saltwater Pool were amazing.

With the exception of waiting for towels at the pool(s), the exceptional staff and concierge service made up for it!

Throughout our stay, we moved around the various pools, some with live music and others that were more peaceful (the ‘quiet’ pools).

The lobbies, villas, restaurants, bars, garden and pool areas, the standard of cleanliness is excellent everywhere.

We loved the pools throughout the resort.

The 3 pools give you the possibility to change scenery and enjoy different places in the hotel.

We saw staff stop others coming to the pools that were not allowed.

Pool:
The setting around the infinity pool is beautiful and serene.

The pools were all clean and well-maintained,

Pool rooms didn’t offer the privacy we needed.

We spend the majority of time by the infinity pool, eating breakfast and lunch at Helios, where all the staff were fantastic and greeted us by name every morning, food and drink was of high standard with great cocktails and great service, even bringing us cocktails in the pool.

There are fish in the moat that you can feed from your balcony hot tub jacuzzi.

The infinity pool grill was a nice feature

The saltwater pool was our absolute favourite for swimming!
