Son,husband,daughter x2 my great great grandparents actually came from Clare so I should say I’m from Irish folk anyways to the point book in was good we got to the room with all our luggage  and it wasn’t very pleasant there was and extreme odour coming from the washroom.

very environmentally friendly, no single serving plastics, beautiful Voya products in the bathroom, lovely bed linens .

The rooms are very clean & the beds very comfy, even the toiletries smell fantastic.

We visited Doolin cave, swam off Doolin pier, took a boat trip around the Cliffs of Moher, enjoyed a seaweed bath in nearby Clahane and took endless scenic walks.

very clean and  friendly staff , Hotel Rooms are spacious and very important a powerful shower .

The barns toilets are very nicely decorated too!

The toilets were really clean and included some lovely Voya hand soap.

The nice comfy bathrobes were a special treat as were the brownies on our arrival.

The cherry on top was the strong commitment to ecofriendly practices -- all the toiletries are large/refillable and there is hardly a trace of plastic.

The bathroom had a very large bath and a powerful shower with lots of hot water.

Modern friendly large rooms all amenities great.

Made to feel very welcome from arrival and even shown to our room and asked if we wanted a newspaper for the morning.Loved the seaweed handwash in the bathroom.Disappointed that the restaurant/pub was full for dinner

The hotel is very focused on being eco friendly which was an important factor for us too, from the toilet roll in the rooms to planting trees for every wedding that they do.

but I can rectify that straight away the Hotel is 5 star only beaten by its customer service the food is excellent I can recommend the fish and chips and the rack of ribs and reasonably priced too

but has so much character, and new toilets.

The first thing I noticed is how friendly the reception staff are.

The only negative at all would be that our room was on the first floor very close to the main doors on the hallway.

You had to zig zag down some odd hallways and stairs to find it though.

She explained that breakfast was served down the hallway in their restaurant.

but the hallways and rooms felt much more run down.

like many push-doors and hallways as if you're walking through a long corridor at a hospital.

The carpet and doors were dirty, the lights in the hallway and dining room didn't work and the upholstery on the chairs in the dining room had holes in them.

but still it was cold in the reception area and long the corridors at all times and in the bedroom at times also.

When we arrived we noticed a loud buzzing from the fuse box and after contacting the front desk were immediately moved to a room down the hall.

Breakfast was served in a restaurant down the hall, a hall connected the Doolin to a 'pantry', this eating area', a tourist information office and finally Fitzsimmons pub.

Microbrew celebration in courtyard that was going until midnite with electric music and renovation going on that gave the hallways a toxic smell that mixed poorly with the chlorine odors emanating from the service laundry on first floor.

Disadvantages were no AC (although the room blew out quickly with the windows open wide) and the the WiFi signal did not reach even half way down the hallway and I had to sit in the lobby to do my browsing--with a mohito next to me.

The lanterns lit our way back down the hallway afterwards.

The kids next door were playing loudly in the hall outside our room,

Our corridor stunk of cannabis for most of the time we were there, I'm just  unsure if it was a guest getting stoned or the room service staff having a sneaky spliff- hence the room not being cleaned?

Only down side would be lack of channels in the bedrooms (but didnt matter so much as didnt spend much time in the room as out sightseeing), no fitness centre, and also felt the halls leading up to the bedrooms were quiet dark, looked like it was missing a few bulbs.

When we sat down at about 8pm, this medium sized and intimate restaurant which is screened from the corridor by attractive wood and etched glass panels was about half full.

This hotel gives the impression that there is actually no one in charge.No one seems to know what their role is,what time any thing such as food is served.We stayed in the adjoining houses which really need an upgrade.Beds too short with poor mattresses.An extra daily charge for electricity.One shower which did not work properly.Food not great..I believe that unless they get their act together there will be many more bad reviews into the future which is a shame as the location is great.I will not stay here again

Not to mention poor Stephen and Mark the night staff who didn’t judge us or give out to us when we didn’t go to bed or want the night to end, very sorry guys , we don’t get out much😂.

Unfortunately the service overall was very poor and we spoke to the manager about this as it got to a point were everything went wrong during our time there.

The mattress on the bed was of poor quality with the support non existent so an uncomfortable sleep had.

One down side of this hotel was the terrible wifi coverage, no 3G coverage in the location leaves guests dependant on decent wifi , this was patchy and poor.

Obviously no supervision, poor training, management by abdication.

Cleanliness of room was extremely poor ~ dirty bathroom and horrible rough old towels.

if i have 1 complaint it was that the chicken in the sambo was pan fried rather than roasted, boo hoo poor me.

Mattress was very thin and overall bed comfort was poor.

The lighting in the bathrooms was also very poor.

The food is poor and well overpriced to rip off tourists headed to O'Connors pub down the road for some magnificent Traditional Irish music, better that a concert really.

Especially the night  bar staff Stephen and Mariusz.

Receptions, who was from Donegal, was such a pleasant person.

The team at reception were amazing at helping guests and flexing to any of our needs!!

Drinks arrived quickly and with a smile from Larry.

the reception staff rang up every day to discretly know what could they do to help on that day.

Similar to all the other reviews, I have to complement the great staff  - Yasmin, Alma, Stephen, Mariusz, Tracey, Sissel, John, Loan, Monica, Megan, Aoibhann, Brian Shane F, Niamh, Paul, sorry if I forgot anyone!

but it was the staff that are the jewel in the crown.

I cannot compliment the staff enough from bar to waiters to reception to housekeeping… they all go over and above.

Especially Yasmin on reception who couldn’t have been more helpful.

I need to mention a few people the outstanding staff..
Yasmin, Alma, Stephen, Mariusz, Tracey, Sissel, John, Loan, Monica, Megan, Aoibhann, Brian Shane F, Niamh, Paul,  without ye, the hotel would not be what it is, yes the location and interior amazing, all together 5 star.

Breakfast was really nice a la carte and efficient.

Vesna was so kind and organised a beautiful window table for us in the Fitz restaurant where we were looked after by Paul and Megan.

We were there until the very last minute, and they were complete gentlemen.

During our visit to Doolin, we stopped by the Hotel Doolin for lunch.

Had the nicest visit to hotel Doolin this weekend!

A couple of minutes walk to Doolin beach, would highly recommend this place for a visit to switch off and relax.

The star of the visit was the St tola goats cheese salad, (well done to Chris, major compliments to the chef) I see it on a lot of menus in the area

Certainly worth a 2 day visit when you are on the Wild Atlanic Way.

So if your in the Fabulous Doolin area make sure to pay a visit! !

though I did visit The Attic venue in its back area.

A number of us decided to visit Hotel Doolin on the weekend the wedding would have been, to mark the date.

Breakfast choices for everyone & accommodating to fussy eaters.Make sure to try the pizza when visiting hotel Doolin.

All in all another great visit and we look forward to our big day in September!

She is a real ambassador for the hotel and Doolin….. will definitely visit again as a result of Jeanie’s hospitality and welcome….

Doolin is a beautiful place to visit and it has so much to offer families.

Comfortable room, great staff, helpful and friendly, fantastic food in the Glas restaurant (all local suppliers are listed in the menu), great base to explore the Burren and visit the Aran islands!

Anyway, we had a lovely relaxing visit and had a delicious breakfast the next morning before venturing off to see the Cliffs of Moher.

Like every other time we have visited we were not disappointed.

The hand sanitizer on the wall outside was an extra touch and all staff complied with wearing masks. Definitely looking forward to coming back again to visit and would recommend it as a lovely spot to have food :)

Doolin is a great place to stay when visiting the burren and Galway the place is amazing right on the Atlantic ocean.

You can also walk to the start of cliffs of moher.

Myself and my hubbie had walked the cliffs in Doolin and after went to Hotel Doolin for lunch   we got a warm welcome,  staff were very attentive, we were served by a lovely girl called Sissel, we got the fish and chips and

We just happened to walk in and were greeted by the friendliest reception we have had in the whole county.

The location is fantastic as you can take in the cliff walk and the pier walk.

The hotel is located in the centre of this small town and everything is just a short walk from it.

Great room and a lovely walk in the evening down to the pier , would stay again anytime

The best thing about Hotel Doolin is the staff who make you feel at home from the minute you walk in the door!

Spotlessly clean beautiful room and breathtaking walks.

Checked us in and didn’t then just point – “your room’s down there”, she actually walked us to our rooms and made sure we were settled in.

The staff go above and beyond: they were extremely responsive via email and helped me set up transport from the airport with very short notice and personally walked us into the cafe to point out breakfast items when we had overslept.

Even the weather was kind which meant we were able to do the 8K cliff walk from the Cliffs of Moher  visitor centre back to the hotel.Utterly spectacular and highly recommended.

I was walking around the area of the hotel after dining well at Fitzwilliam’s in late October  and apparently I dropped my perscription sunglasses.

From once you walk in the door you’re made feel extremely welcome.

My last trip the receptionist walked us to our room and there was a little ‘Welcome Back’ treat waiting as they spotted I had stayed a few times before, very nice touch.

Also you have an easy walk to Fitz's which I would recommend for dinner and some good Irish music.

We stopped at the Doolin Hotel to have breakfast while we waited for our walking tour of the Cliffs of Moher to start.

We can’t recommend this brilliant hotel enough, location is ideal just a nice walk to Doolin pier.

Had an issue with no hot water the following day

Bottled water & freshly baked treats were left in the room for our arrival.

but the main issue was the water, pressure in the shower terrible it was the worst shower I ever had for that reason I would not stay there again.

The water in the shower barely trickled out, so a good shower was not possible.

The liquid which arrived in a very small bowl was lukewarm and was the consistency of water and almost as tasteless.

We were forced to ask for an old bucket, get some water and pour it down the toilet to "flush" the excrements.

Only downside was there was no water in the men's or women's toilets to flush or wash.we stayed in a local b& b

The room, the small touches (even down to the hot water bottle) were lovely, the food was fantastic, there was nothing left to chance, even down to the kids who were at the wedding, lovely lemonade stand with sweets and homemade lemonade.

The bath became very slippery once the water hit it.

The only thing I would have liked better was a better shower, the water was not very powerful at all!

We paid 20 euro per head and received a three course meal, water jugs and bread, included children's disco and evening snacks towards the end of the event.

It had a water heater for tea and coffee; no fridge and for some reason the housekeeper never seemed to leave enough towels.

There are two bottles of water one sparkling and one still which is great to have as there isn't a corner shop to hand.

Our room was on the ground floor, it had a double & single bed, there were bathrobes, a large bottle of sparkling and still water.

My only disappointment is that the shower pressure was not great and the water only warm. Pity.

The service in the restaurant and bar was terrible, took forever to get food, no salt on table, never got requested bread, water or

Susan has plenty of suggestions and recommendations on where to go and what to see.

Susan made us feel well cared for from the moment we walked in, offering drinks and providing great recommendations for how to spend our time in Doolin.

Her advice on where to eat and drink were helpful as was her travel advice.

Susan provided great recommendations for activities, dining and music in the pubs (which was just a short walk down the hill).

She picked us up from the bus stop,  made recommendations for our visit from visiting the Aran Islands to places to eat.

What was really remarkable was Susan’s hospitality - she welcomed us warmly, chatted with us in the sitting room over wine and Baileys, gave us fantastic recommendations on things to do/see in Doolin and provided a delicious breakfast served in a lovely room overlooking her gardens.

Amazing hostess, excellent recommendations, comfortable beds, beautiful garden, centrally located, and a delicious breakfast.

The Doolin Cave, her recommendation, was a great alternative for a rainy and cold day and we were able to do the boat tour of the Cliffs a day early thanks to her.

Even before we arrived, Susan made booking a breeze, and gave us excellent recommendations for our stay.

They provided us with delicious breakfast, fantastic recommendations, and conversation that felt like we had known them forever.

That was just the first of many great recommendations!

Susan's recommendations turned out to be some of the best activities of our trip.

She was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations for areas to explore in the area.

Susan will give you great advice on what to do/where to eat in this beautiful neighbourhood.

Susan's knowledge of the area enables her to provide great recommendations for all types of things to see and do.

Her hospitality was amazing and she gave great recommendations.

but the entire region is so helpful to those looking for recommendations.

Recommendations and reservations were made by Susan, she steered us in all the right directions.

I loved every minute in Doolin and thanks to Susan’s recommendations we were able to see and do more than we planned on our own.

but not least, we can not say enough about Susan… her friendly, personable disposition and great advice on attractions etc.

Susan pointed us in the right directions several times, from the Cliffs of Moher boat ride (a 10-minute walk from Daly’s house) to the Burren Perfumery (and wonderful coffee shop), to the sheep dog demonstrations at Caherconnell Fort.

Susan made dinner reservations and boat reservations for us - we were so well looked after.

It’s a two minute walk to the pub and town of Doolin.. We took a boat tour to the Arab islands which was one of the most amazing places I’ve ever seen.

You can take a ferry to the Aran Islands from the Doolin Pier (this is not information that is readily found in guidebooks or online FYI)  You can also take a tour by boat under the Cliffs late in the day- (also information not readily discovered elsewhere-) Our time in Doolin at Dalys was magical.

Susan arranged a boat trip of the Cliffs and arranged for a magnificent dinner at the Oar restaurant.

She made reservations for us in the pubs, called about the boat to the Aran Islands, and even made a hot toddy when she heard a sniffle.

We inquired about a boat trip to the Cliffs of Mohr.

From there, you can take a boat ride out to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher.

What a perfect choice for seeing the area, including Cliffs of Moher (we also took a boat out to one of the Aran Islands).

We then did the boat ride along side the Cliffs of Moher which was fun to see from that perspective.

Susan welcomed us on the afternoon we arrived with Irish coffee and made us Irish coffee again as we returned in the afternoon a bit wet after a wild boat ride back from Innis Orr.

The new boat provides a smoother and faster ride to the Islands.

We headed out immediately for a  boat cruise as per Susan's recommendation to see the Cliffs from the water.

Susan kindly arranged our ferry boat ride to Inishmore island and an enjoyable/informative horse and buggy tour of the island.

The home is quiet and surrounded by beautiful gardens and a pasture, yet just a short walk to O'Connors pub and a ticket store for the ferry boats and tours of the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The bedroom was very comfortable with plenty of space, a roomy shower (those are hard to come by in Europe generally!)

But most of all, Susan and Kate are some of the most gracious hosts we have ever met, making us feel like family as they offered directions, places “not to be missed”, called ahead for reservations on the boat, and even offered an ice pack for a bruised ankle!

On out second day she booked us a trip to one of the Aran Islands that included a trip to the Cliffs of Moher by boat.

We'd booked ourselves on to a boat trip on one of the days we were there.

The room and the bathroom look brand new.

I asked Susan the brand she used and I bought a bag to come home.

There were 2 luggage racks so my husband and I each had a place to put our bags.

Go when the window is open in case rains come in go to cliffs as soon as you see opening.

A couple in their 70's lugging 2 large suitcases is not always a good idea.

Our room had little room for more than small suitcases, which luckily was all we travel with.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were so welcome and at home with our very friendly reception by Kate.

Great, friendly and knowledgeable host as should be the case with a proper Irish B&B.

Best of all, we had tons of fun with Susan's friendly dogs, Bob and Ted.

Top quality lodging, superb breakfasts, wonderful friendly staff.

Everything was very cosy and she, Sean and the rest of the family were super friendly and made sure that we have everything we want.

Additionally they are completely environmentally friendly.

A warm welcome awaited us and on our arrival Susan, our host, greeted us with a warm friendly smile and offered us some real Irish hospitality.

She is warm, friendly, funny, witty, and full of helpful suggestions.

Susan greeted us with a beautiful friendly smile, showed use to our spacious bedroom that was spotlessly clean, she gave us a welcome drink and some chocolate and a map of Doolin.

We were met with a warm and friendly welcome by our host and owner Susan Daly.

Susan is the most friendly and professional host you could hope to meet.

My  3 friends and i stayed at Dayls B&B in Doolin.. We were greeted by a very friendly Susan who made us at home immediately and treated us to a luvly drink in her amazing gardens.

The accommodation is faultless, made even better by our lovely host Susan who was so friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely bnb, Susan is so friendly and welcoming.

Really fresh, modern and comfortable building run by lovely friendly people.

Found her very helpful and friendly towards the children.

Susan is so welcoming , friendly and funny.

Susan and staff at Daly's House welcomed us with open arms and hugs.

The staff which is largely family members is just as committed to the guests of Daly House as she is.
