As a big fan of pizza I’m often left disappointed in other restaurants with the end product being too cheesy, too doughy or too greasy.

When breakfast came it was freezing and was the wrong order.

Even when I blew a circuit breaker and plunged my entire room into complete darkness at 5:30 am, Adam was at my door within the 2 minutes promised and there was not a word about “what the ‘eck are you doing blowing circuit breakers – go to sleep”.

The house(7) was freezing on arrival in December(Would not harm to put the heating on for an hour or so)

Kitchen chairs also stained.

Having to go from warm to freezing cold temperatures several times a day.

The house we were allocated had a toilet seat on the floor, damage to kitchen units and extractor fan cover and broken blinds on the windows.

Thermostat didn't seem to change the room temperature which was too warm for me.

Maybe the hotel should do more to eliminate this over powering smell  by proper ventilation in cooking area  etc.

The beds have one duvet, no upper sheet, so you are either roasting or freezing.

The people  working at the desk also do not know how the heating system works.

A few heaters wouldn't go amiss and would be essential in the colder months.

but was freezing and raining when we were here so drove our car the few minutes.

After returning to the USA we discovered that the PJs we purchased at the Shaggy Sheep were defective.

Heating had been turned on and efforts to heat the building had been made,

It had a water heater for tea and coffee; no fridge and for some reason the housekeeper never seemed to leave enough towels.

Disadvantages were no AC (although the room blew out quickly with the windows open wide) and the the WiFi signal did not reach even half way down the hallway and I had to sit in the lobby to do my browsing--with a mohito next to me.

It was freezing when we arrived at the hotel having just walked the Cliffs of Moher.

There is a restaurant at the other end of the shop lot with mediocre food (I may be a bit biased here since I am not a huge fan of Irish food to begin with).

Cannot recommend the food enough, the choice for the wedding meal is so good and not to mention the breakfast was amazing thanks to Sissel &Tracey.

We had a fish and chips and 2 starters, all was incredibly yummy!

A fabulous menu for breakfast which I had in Fitz pub.

Breakfast was really nice a la carte and efficient.

Breakfast was also outstanding, just what we needed after two late nights - I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who served us; she was also outstanding..

Top quality ingredients and choice on the menu.

The great breakfast and the friendly service here was so appreciated.

Also one of the nicest breakfasts Ive ever had!

I have to give a special mention for Sessily in the breakfast room.

Luan the chef does the most incredible potatoes I’ve ever had and all the other ingredients were cooked to perfection.

The rooms, breakfast and facilities are all fantastic and comfortable.

Sissel, our waitress, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, and Luan's cooking was delicious.

If you want the full Irish for breakfast, Make sure you are hungry enough for it.

We ate in the restaurant.. dinner was 5star standard and breakfast was the best we've had in a long time. .

The rooms at the hotel were spacious and very comfortable, and everyone loved the breakfast too.

Food delicious, staff lovely and would definitely be a spot I would come back to or like to stay at.

All staff were superb,   Brian and crew in the bar looked after everybody into the night while Sissell and her colleagues revived us with good food and good humour at breakfast .

Fitz pub is attached to hotel and a lovely place for live music.

The pub is class , cosy and loads of craic with trad music .

A lot of the planning is done for you as it's part of the package such as the decor (by Rí Weddings who is phenomenal), wedding cake and DJ.

We attended a lovely wedding here this week and everything was such a wonderful occasion from the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from Emily and indeed all the staff here could not have been more pleasant and anxious to make it a great experience - the food the music and the general ambience was really lovely.

We went into the bar in the same building after for great music and songs.

Once finished Nianh found us a table across from the fire and we had some drinks listening to the live music.

The music recommended by Paul last minute was great and a big hit with our guests!

Breakfast is 5 star and the best out of any of the hotels we stayed on our trip and, food in general was excellent.

However on a positive note the pizzas and quality of music in the garden that night were excellent.

The food in the restaurant was delicious and on one of the evenings we had our meal outdoors in the courtyard while listening to live music which was lovely.

It was a lovely sunny evening and we availed of a table in the garden where we listened to the live music.

We sat in the garden both nights until 11pm listening to the music, loved Jimmy Mac!

On a day out from  Galway, we stopped for lunch at this pub/hotel.

Fresh and light fish and the pasta was creamy and very nice.

During our visit to Doolin, we stopped by the Hotel Doolin for lunch.

The food was lovey, the hotel itself was lovey.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, super enjoyable wedding, super dinner, intimate atmosphere and staff lovely.

The food was great and I really enjoyed the vegan options on offer.

The food, wine and the ambiance were just perfect.

The rooms and the houses were spotless and the food was second to none.

went to Fitz's bar last night for dinner and what can I say, Wow.

Sissel that works in the bar and restaurant was one of the nicest staff we have met in years and Chef Luans food was outstanding and he was so pleasant to speak to.

The hotel also has food in the bar and it has a pizza area outside

While waiting a lovely Carla got us drinks from the café and even went into the bar to get some fresh draft beer.

The whole atmosphere and layout of the hotel, outdoor areas, bar restaurant etc was fabulous.

We ate in the restaurant beside the bar and the food was disappointing.

We ate in the bar as well and the food was excellent and I have to give a shout out to Serenia and Paul in the bar both of whom went out of their way to look after us and make us feel so welcome.

We ate in Fitz's bar for dinner and despite the covid restrictions there was still a nice buzz about the place.

Stayed for 1 night wish it was more the hotel has a the most amazing beer garden bar and food loved our stay everything you need for you stay in the one spot.

We ate in the bar on the Friday night and the food was lovely.

The staff, food and facilities were consistent as ever and with confidence we were eased back into post lockdown holidays.Most of all I commend the restaurant and bar staff who visibly sanitised their hands numerous times in the hour and a half we dined one evening .

We came down over night had dinner in the bar, beautiful dinner while we where listening to trad music .

Doolin is known for its Irish music and Hotel Doolin didn’t disappoint with its bars and restaurant offerings.

The hotel itself is fabulous and rooms and cottages are incredible.

Son,husband,daughter x2 my great great grandparents actually came from Clare so I should say I’m from Irish folk anyways to the point book in was good we got to the room with all our luggage  and it wasn’t very pleasant there was and extreme odour coming from the washroom.

The decor of the room provided by Ri Events was just stunning.

A very warm welcome at reception, a beautiful room , with nice little features.

The service was excellent and the rooms were spotless.

Leanne in reservations was also really supportive in terms of planning the room allocations for our guests.

Rooms are amazing and food is just so fresh and tasty.

The room was decorative, quirky and very comfortable.

When we got to our room there was a lovely hand written note , congratulating our anniversary.

I decided to proceeded down to reception for a gas mask or a very strong room freshener I got neither the lady said that they don’t supply these items at the hotel so I should go and get my own which I thought was quite cheeky she then advised me that there is a store called supervalue in launch I don’t feel like those roomfreshners would of worked I think industrial roomfreshners would do a better job for the 2 nights that where staying at this hotel the odour never went away at some points it got so bad we had to stick our heads out the window.

but we were not right next to the smokers (As reformed smokers, we are probably the biggest bane of smokers).

For both mornings, we visited the restaurant, remembering the smell of the fish both nights before.

only problem with room was strong smell of smoke which was not desirable with young family.

The towels seemed like they where there for quite a while because they where musty & had started to look a tinge yellowish.

The common areas - for whatever reason smelled like cats.

I am allergic to the smell of smoke and my husband has asthma so it was not going to work.

Microbrew celebration in courtyard that was going until midnite with electric music and renovation going on that gave the hallways a toxic smell that mixed poorly with the chlorine odors emanating from the service laundry on first floor.

My only negative comment is that there was a smell in the room which may have been smoke or I don’t know what it was I know they are non-smoking rooms as was pointed out by receptionist when we told her.

The toiletries smell beautiful, especially the shower gel, I should have bought one before I left.

In the bathroom there were the most amazing smelling hand & body washes.There was a bag of seaweed which you could use & pay an extra 10 euro.

I was able to overlook the pipes rattling after flushing the toilet, the fact that the front desk didn't tell us we needed to use our key for the electricity to work or the fact that the curtain sheers were filthy.

Our corridor stunk of cannabis for most of the time we were there, I'm just  unsure if it was a guest getting stoned or the room service staff having a sneaky spliff- hence the room not being cleaned?

Especially the night  bar staff Stephen and Mariusz.

Receptions, who was from Donegal, was such a pleasant person.

The team at reception were amazing at helping guests and flexing to any of our needs!!

Drinks arrived quickly and with a smile from Larry.

the reception staff rang up every day to discretly know what could they do to help on that day.

Similar to all the other reviews, I have to complement the great staff  - Yasmin, Alma, Stephen, Mariusz, Tracey, Sissel, John, Loan, Monica, Megan, Aoibhann, Brian Shane F, Niamh, Paul, sorry if I forgot anyone!

but it was the staff that are the jewel in the crown.

I cannot compliment the staff enough from bar to waiters to reception to housekeeping… they all go over and above.

Especially Yasmin on reception who couldn’t have been more helpful.

I need to mention a few people the outstanding staff..
Yasmin, Alma, Stephen, Mariusz, Tracey, Sissel, John, Loan, Monica, Megan, Aoibhann, Brian Shane F, Niamh, Paul,  without ye, the hotel would not be what it is, yes the location and interior amazing, all together 5 star.

Vesna was so kind and organised a beautiful window table for us in the Fitz restaurant where we were looked after by Paul and Megan.

We were there until the very last minute, and they were complete gentlemen.

My family and I travelled to Hotel Doolin several times before the wedding and the service, standard and staff were consistently incredible.

Attended a family wedding in Hotel Doolin last weekend.

I’ve been to about 25 weddings and the set up at Doolin hotel was one of the best especially late at night when they open Fitzpatrick Bar.

We had a great time at a wedding in Hotel Doolin.

Paul and Niamh were a pleasure to deal with on the wedding planning side of things.

Shout out also to Yvonne Burke the wedding organiser for the hotel that took all of our needs into account.

If you are considering a wedding in the west of Ireland then book this venue, you will not regret it.

I attended a wedding at this hotel yesterday, to say that it was the best day would be an understatement!

We were at a great wedding here in hotel doolin.

Due to their amazing service I sought out their names so Aoibheann, Megan, Kim, Brian, and Katie working on 12/02/22 for the wedding should be hugely proud of their work.

Got married in The Barn in December and we could not have picked a better place to have our wedding.

We stayed in Doolin Hotel as part of a wedding group and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had our wedding here in June and it couldn't have gone better.

Other than opening the windows you have no way to cool the rooms off.

Our room was very noisy and view from our window (which was the same from a lot of rooms) was a tour bus filled car park!.

but it isn't sound proofed,  I understand doolin is busy but the sound of passing traffic woke us up, it sounded like the window was open it was that loud we didn't mind to much as we were having a great time.

however the leather was tatty and ripped on the chair, and there were a few spiders and cobwebs in the corners; also our room was on ground level and there was at one point a bus full of tourists parked directly outside our window, which was slightly disconcerting.

The room was basic enough , very dark en suite, and had a shower curtain in the bath, which was annoying as you had 2 choices, a bath or a shower whereby the curtain stuck to your skin which was annoying.

but the shower was so narrow you always had the shower curtain touching you - which is a little icky.

This establishment is not steeped in tradition, with dark, creaky stairs and single-pane windows painted shut.

There were also stains on the walls and drapes.

but were v stuffy so we had to leave the windows open, as these rooms look onto the car-park this made it very noisy, the bar really has been done to look old and it works, most of the food was fine though i did complain on check out that my husband's burger €14.95 was more like a meatball, he didn't complain until after dinner so the waiter couldn't do anything.

BUT :
- Very hot and not able to change the temperature - you can open a window a few inches

There were a few other negatives in the room; the light beige carpet was badly stained (and off-putting) in places, the extractor fan over the bath hissed constantly and when we had a shower, regardless of how we positioned the shower curtain, we soaked the bathroom floor!!

Only complaint, and it's only a small one, the shower curtain was on the cheap side and was difficult to use, as it did not run freely on the rail.

however, the shower curtain had a mind of it’s own and made it difficult to shower without getting attacked – glass doors or weighted down curtains are much better.

The shower was so narrow, I showered with the shower curtain sticking to me.

Excellent breakfast with both hot and cold options.

The staff and the details to breakfast every morning were super.

The hotel guest room was spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous.

You can see the Cliffs of Moher and the Atlantic while enjoying a great Irish breakfast or dining on fresh sea bass for dinner.

We booked dinner in the Country House for the first night of our visit and it was delicious.

The included breakfast was cooked to order and taken in the cheery dining room.

I love the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, so delicious, and don’t miss their raisin scones, the best!

Salmon steak and Cod for the others with oyster + soup starters and a delicious dessert menu.

Service was fabulous, food, delicious, and they mailed something back to my best friend for her bday which was amazing!

The rooms are large and very comfortable, and the meals we ate there, dinner and breakfast, were also of a high quality.

The rooms are lovely, the breakfast is excellent as is the dinner.

The hotel is as charming as it was back then with great service, lovely rooms and a fantastic dining experience for both breakfast and dinner!

They were able to accommodate her vegan diet for dinner and breakfasts.

The breakfast was delicious in a lovely dining room with views of the ocean.

Breakfast was included in our room and was a very good combination of a continental buffet and a hot breakfast.

The freshly cooked scones for breakfast were outstanding and we chose to eat on site for two nights of our stay.

We also enjoyed dinner in their restaurant and breakfast the next morning was excellent with the best scones we had during our entire trip.

The dinner and breakfast were fantastic!!!

Having searched for places to eat in Lisdoonvarna on a Tuesday night, we realised that many places were either booked, closed or pub grub.

The minute we closed our door, we heard what sounded like a bee hive in our room.

Hungry and tired we arrived at the hotel only to find out that the dining room was closed on Sunday.

Spent the day at the Ciffs of Mother and at the recommendation of Ballinalacken management (their restaurant was closed that night) we had dinner at Roadford House Restaurant.

Unfortunately for us,  the restaurant was closed on the night we were there.

We also found out that the hotel restaurant was closed on Tues., so we had to find another place for dinner.

There is absolutely nothing around this hotel and if you are unfortunate to be there on a Tuesday night like we were, the dining room is closed.

As the restaurant on the premises was closed that evening, Dennis sent us down to the Roadford House in Doolin to dine.

The hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there, so we had to drive into Doolin for dinner (about a 15 minute drive).
