Start your day with an excellent breakfast buffet spread and enjoy freshly brewed coffee and fruits carvery to your likings and end your day with a poolside dinner under the stars.

but it is excellently presented and served by super-friendly staff - it’s a world away from the canteen-style buffet we’ve experienced in some places!

The lunchtime a la carte menu at the pool is much welcomed as a break from the buffets we’ve been having.

Some of the best lunch food ever, prawns, samosas, noodles and delicious thin crust pizzas.

but tasty Indian selection at breakfast and dinner showed authenticity and good training.

Breakfast offered a variety of options including an egg and omelette station, fresh waffles, freshly cut fruit plus wonderful local cuisine such as rice balls and samosas.

The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice at every dining time.

Followed by the delicious food at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner - go all inclusive, it’s a real treat.

Exceptional hotel, excellent clean, delicious food.

but also you can select ingredients and the chefs will cook them there and then for you.

The food is second to none with bar meals in the beach restaurant with themed buffets including a beach BBQ in the evenings.

Many guests raved about the desserts, which were plentiful and quite puddingy,

The food is wonderful from breakfast to lunch and evening.

The food was delicious and the chefs were so welcoming and interactive.

However, we formed a very favourable impression of the hotel - our room was beautiful, the food was delicious, the pool was wonderful, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

but  to write a review after seeing the last few poor reviews .

but shower very poor, not much pressure and hard to get balance between cold and boiling hot.

She then came and found me at the beach the next day to say she had looked into it and staff admitted it was poor.

I am not in the habit of leaving poor reviews for anything,

14 – There are virtually no staff on hand to assist around the beach or pool area, probably why there are so many hawkers and poor hygiene.

The BBQ night was poor, as nearly all the "meat" was just bones.

Having left a main road to travel down a poor dirt track road, we were a little worried about the type of hotel that would be at the end of the stretch.

the poor man sweeping leaves by the pool had a never ending job with the cheeky monkeys appearing 2 seconds after he'd finished making a mess again!

We had a private chef who was available to cook each evening in our room for us, we tried this service once, so much choice available, just a shame the poor chap had never seen or tasted items he was meant to prepare as they were shocking.

Overall pretty poor experience that we had here and we won't be returning.

however much poor press that Kenya gets in the media I have never felt unsafe, always protected and feel it is probably much safer that parts of the UK.

the roads are very poor, the traffic worse than any I have seen anywhere, and the vehicles are not built for comfort.

but have never tasted such poor quality fish.

The really poor element was the mozzy net was very past its best, had been well darned

Same picture at the bar: impossible to get a cold beer at the beach bar („problems with the fridge), the smokers did dump the cigarette

Smoking near tv lounge drifts in which is a shame had to move away on more than one occasion.

but then we realised that the bar staff on the beach were encouraging the beach traders to smoke and drink at the residents-only bar also, which I feel is unfair to guests who, on the one hand, could strike up a conversation with them thinking they were fellow guests, only to be followed by them out onto the beach afterwards asking them to visit their shop and buy from them.

It was impossible to avoid the cigarette smoke and it's something that really bothers both me and my husband.

but one of our two rooms smelled odd and damp/odd and it had no opening windows so couldn't get rid of the smells.

4 – The pool area was filthy, with ashtrays overflowing and cigarette ends around the pool area.

I was also appalled at the amount of debris brought in by the tide and being a bit of an eco warrior I felt compelled to collect the empty milk cartons and plastic bags to dispose of in bins.

The arrival was all smiles, a damp flannel and towel and orange juice.

After the most hellish journey from Mombasa airport (expect a 2hr very bumpy journey through pollution thick air and dirty streets) we were exhausted and filthy

I applied factor 50 in the morning and still burned so badly and ended up with a back like a lobster!

The rooms were very cold and initially smelt a little damp -

but when we did the water was warm and clean and didn't seem to have too much chemicals in it.

When we turned of the airco the rooms smelled a bit musty.

but open shelving with curtains that matched the windows but clothes smelt musty most of the time which has not happened to us in other tropical locations.

The towels were old and tatty, and smelt awful; once they reeked of cigarettes.

That evening we ate in the restaurant as we were to late to order our meal with the chef and the restaurant was hot and full of fumes from the mongolian night albeit the food was lovely - all in all it was a rather disappointing start and I was a bit concerned that we'd chosen this place to get married. HOWEVER.

Firstly the rooms had no towels
Secondly the bathrooms were flooding after showering
Thirdly the customer service was extremely poor
Fourthly the bedding were smelly 
Fifth the food was monotonous without variety and tasteless.

Bathroom was old and water was salty could not even brush teeth with tap water, the toilets weren't flashing properly.

Had to use my flip flop in the bath and I didn’t wanna touch anything there.

The Customer service in this resort is non existent, disorganized should be their other name, the rooms we were given were run down, had cobwebs, rusty taps, bed sheets that had hair remnants,dirty looking old towels,mouldy walls, towels that couldn't flash..
Their is just so much wrong here, most waiters look unhappy, disengaged, a few were happy though..80% of the population is white

One of the two air conditioners was not working properly.

The staff work really hard here and if they sometimes seem to be laid back this is their way of life , not like us who are always on edge under the pressures of life to have everything we want when we want it !!

but with salty water and due to the salinity their bathroom fittings do have salt marks.

Housekeeping services were below par, the towels were yellowed and smelly, the bathrooms were also not clean and the bath mat not changed daily despite being wet.

Some points are still to be improved though, mainly the broken treadmills at the gym and some of the shower towels quality.

The staff were rude abs uncooperative to us while showering white people with all attention.

though the telephone is not working so I had to walk to the reception area so that I could request for a baby basin.

The water in the showers is salty too which hurts the hair so thats asetback too

However the resort is far away from the center of Diani and the water of the bathroom is salted.

But the bathroom looks it needs some revamp as things were not that Impressive.

The rooms and bathroom facilities need an upgrade as they seem to have seen better days.

but the family of monkeys was a great entertainment to me, and I am sure to other guests as well … it seemed though they liked the doughnuts even more than me … lol.

.. breakfast you share with flies, they are everywhere, all on and around the food, on the plates and tables.

Also a special mention to all of the kitchen staff who provided a wide range of fresh and delicious options every meal.

The food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and our room was nice and spacious.

An awesome welcome from one lovely lady Harriet who was warm and professional.Amani Tiwi the place to be-beautiful,clean and well kept.the rooms were clean and the food so yummy.

Not forgeting the delicious food with lot of vegetarian and vegan options, fresh fruits and desserts.

They server  the best meals, their food is so delicious and very organised.

Food was extremely delicious..  Staff were nice and at service.

They serve breakfast , lunch and dinner Buffets style, which are well organised and with varieties of delicacies to go with,.

We were on the 1/2 board plan which gave us breakfast in the 400 seat buffet style cafeteria and either lunch or dinner.

Amani Tiwi sure lives up to a Paradise under the African Skies.We enjoyed our stay,lovely pool and easy access to the beach.The staff were very friendly and helpful,Ken at the gym was very patient and super efficient.We also loved the entertainment by the Animation team it was great made up for great fun evenings.We loved the food at the restaurant by the beach,breakfast was average the hotel can do better.

Food are monotonous, breakfast always the same.

Caucasians were favored than Africans during breakfast and dinner with Caucasian priority at play.

They have Buffet's during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The service was great to start with then after dinner time and breakfast we could not get any waiters and when we did, they didn’t come back with the order!!

Having the All Inclusive option was very great and all the meals from breakfast to dinner were great with quality to compliment.

Few improvements though, kindly have varieties in your buffet, if you can include sandals and bath mat to avoid slips and falls in your rooms it will be very good.

Their stories gave me some basic understanding of the very poor standard of their lives and no much hope for better future.

Food is bad,  service is poor, AC does not work in the room, location is not so good as well.meals come without drinks unless you pay separately for it on half board.

The hotels odd policy for guests to finish their 1st drink before getting another gets rather annoying which I presume is to save money due to guests less frequently visiting the bar, snack bar food quality is poor and menu is limited to five dishes if a remember correctly, where are popular snacks like the burgers, wings, chips, ects?

but the rooms need some renovation expecially the bathrooms, no enough pool beds and pool mattress, cheese during breakfast is of poor quality maybe the  cheapest in the market, yoghurt is never there one has to order to get it.

TV room entertainment is limited and poor, had problems and reported it. 10.

Wi-Fi connectivity is poor if they could improve on that, please.

The all inclusive drink selection was poor, so better buy your own drinks.

but the service is very poor,  the food is pathetic to describe and the beach front is full of sea weeds.Hope the management can also replace the analogue TVs in the rooms.

The poor quality rice was always undercooked and clumpy, the veggies were overcooked and had no flavour to mention a few.

however that they should improve the cable connection in the room TVs (poor signal)  and also to bring back the Diamond Night club which the hotel had before.Other than that , Amani Tiwi has always been fantastic  and that is why we keep on coming back  :-)

The showers run (warm) salty water and the wifi is pretty poor.

Dirty salty water pools with not enough pool towels (we waited three hours and still no towels), unfriendly staff they, poor animation kids actually played musical chair like your in some birthday party, worst music played to mention

Huge workload affect quality service and hence poor perception of hotel.

Enough activities, food is average, wi-fi poor.

Wifi is only available at the reception area, in the rooms there is poor signal and most of the time you will not be able to use WIFI especially if the hotel is fully booked.

In particular, their all inclusive package was poor with the hotel running of of the drinks covered by the package or being asked to wait till the next meal is served, that beats the whole idea of all inclusive as they have packaged it.

but we did not get hot water until the last day.

For us as 3 persons staying for 4 nights that runs up to 150.000 KES just paying for water.

The WiFi was horrible the entire week we stayed there and water was salty in the rooms those were my only cons for our stay.

Asked for room service to deliver bottled water.

but be aware the tide does go out here which leaves the beach quite rocky ( I think exposing dead corals ) which does create lots of rock
Pools so does make it not quite such a pretty beach on the eye when you first see it but the sand here is very white and beautiful beach shoes are essential for walking out to the water at low tide , but this is nature and for me just adds to the experience the ocean is really like a bath the warmest water ever and at low tide can sit in the pockets of water left behind and just bask in the sun and people watch those on the beach and watch the camels which occasionally pass by .

Bars are open only from 11 am, after 9 am we were thirsty, we wanted only cup of water, and bartenders didnt want to give it us :/

WiFi is not perfect, there are some places where you dont have range.

The water from the tap is salty and they only give 500ml of drinking water which is not enough.

Imagine brushing your mouth with salty water it's   hell .

The only thing that bugged us most was having to get water in a glass.

Additionally, the water was hard and couldn't lather.

You come from the ocean and there is no need to shower since you are just using the SAME water.

There was never hot water to shower with.

There are very few beach boys and they are not allowed to venture above high water mark in front of the resort.

but sadly it isn't.The rooms are spacious,hot water was flowing from the shower which was awesome  but the telephone wasn't  working,the swimming pool is big and fun to be in,their beach is OK but the staff here are horrible and haven't been taught to use their words carefully.

but not that bad just ensure you use the bottled water for drinking.

With high tide the red warning flag is raised, so impossible to enter the water.

It rained for the better part of our stay and rain would drip from the roof to the small corridor between the rooms and flow to one of the rooms.

I realized later there was mould on the ceiling possibly from a leak in the upper floor.

The rooms have no ventilation and are poorly lit, with little natural light getting into the room.

The room was terrible the bathroom door would not lock the balcony would not open without use of force.

though the whirlpools were out of service.

We had to leave the shower running for a few minutes before entering. 4.

The toilet would not flush well after one use and the draining in the bathroom was not well constructed so would take hours before the water dries/drains.

The saline water is not great to bathe with as you can’t get any lather from soaps.

The whole experience was unforgettable   It was then back to our hotel
where we continued our beach holiday and relaxed after the fairly tiring safari
The beach is pure white sand and the sea water is like going into a warm bath  just breathtaking 
Only downside is the beer is sometimes a little warm and flat and if you want to be verbally abused by a basil faulty like barman go to Moses  we found it really quite amusing to watch his rude comments to  customers

Well cleaned, only critisism is that the toilet didn't seem to flush that often.

Plenty of space, if slightly dated & dank in the bathroom.

Since the hotel is all inclusive, we were able to made very good use of our money from the meals and drinks :-) The rooms are a bit old, the bathroom in particular is run down, does not have a bathtub, i hope they can work on that soon.

but we didnt complain because we really didnt expect one, the bathroom was large and clean and there was always lots of hot water, wifi is a bit poor but you have to remember where you are and I was grateful we managed to get a few emails during the week.

The bathrooms are a little tired and it is pot luck as to whether you get a hot shower or not.

Towels do not smell soap, yes they are dry.

but they were short showers and followed by warm sun.

however as we left they were starting to refurbish these rooms and make the bathrooms bigger by extending the outside walls.

The waiters were very friendly, and the buffet meals were mouthwatering.

The organisation of the buffet is also puzzling.

We arrived in time for lunch and there was only beef, rice and potatoes for buffet.

We dined at the buffet, snack bar, and al La carte restaurant and we’re very happy with the options and quality of food at each.

The food was absolutely amazing, varied and delicious.

The food selection  is excellent and yummy fresh fish.

Buffet food was delicious with lots of variety in cuisines.

Every day we had an delicious array of food from all over the world!

Buffet has few choices for every meal most foods not very well made.

Buffet staff is very nice, would recommend not going to the "restaurants" as the food is the same as the buffet just slower to get to you.

we salute the hotel ,the food was  yummy,we shall definately be back,no other hotel could handle us this much..How ever consider having a Gym..Asante

An all inclusive hotel with a variety of cuisines and different daily menus for breakfast, lumch and dinner.

The food in the all inclusive buffet was always very good and there were lots of choices.

Food across the meal period was scrumptious and served with a lot of passion and enthusiasm.

The breakfast spread was excellent especially the fruit selection which was super fresh.

The good from breakfast lunch and dinner was of a very high standard and quality and the staff have been obviously well trained catering for all needs and were always happy and smiling.

Stayed 3 nights, the food was amazing and different menu on daily basis - Breakfast / Lunch and Dinner.

The restaurant was very nice, service was good and the food was delicious and fresh.

Sheets, duvet, pillow cases all smelled of urine!

Got to our rooms, completely out dated and have a very fungal smell.

I also experienced the laundry services and was disappointed cz what I gave to be cleaned, a hoody came back with the foul smell it had.

The room decor is dated (90s style) and smelt damp.

The rooms were dirty, smelly, dirty towels, stained taps which looked disgusting.

I find this to be disgusting and a sense of remorse or steps to ensure this never ever happens again to have not been put in place.

At first the room we had smelled of damp,

The only problem for us was a damp feel to the air in the room,

Terrible sewage smell  near the pool at Neptune Palm, which is supposed to be the best of the three sections.

but it's no comments, the oranges stale, food plates are not enough people have to wait in line, are you serious.

The rooms in bungalows are ok,, except a worn furniture, and the net around the bed was old, smelly and had a few holes.

Some of the rooms are a little tired and smell damp.

However, some of the sunbed towels didn't smell!

Somewhere along the lines most guests got a nasty tummy bug.

The beer was watered down and flat half the time, the soft drinks were not fizzy at all (diet coke is not included in the all inclusive deal), the house red wine is untouchable and tasted like paraffin, and the house spirits were disgusting.

The towels are disgusting & they stink, that is if you get any.

They later added an extra bed after I complained, then i had to call again for them to provide towels for my son..

The room was not consistently cleaned and we had to request for new towels, toilet roll which then took hours to be replaced. 7.

The turning over of rooms was very inconsistent and I had to call reception up to 5 times in one day in order to get fresh towels even after they had come to take old ones away. 5.

The towels were a bit rough and not brilliant white.

We had asked for stained towels in our room to be changed twice and the housekeeping attendant mentioned he was the only one in the entire hotel and so was overwhelmed and wed probably need to wait another hour or so!

Staff at towels was rude to my kids .brought this to the attention of the manager.said he would look into it, never heard back.

Most pool towels are old and should be replaced.

Extra towel in the room and they seem to forget.

food very crappy, service watchmen appalling, not courteous, waiters average, housekeeping mmh one towel in a double room quite unhygienic.

During one instance, dirty towels were taken

Beach towels were far two small for the loungers on the 6 out of 7 days they had any.

In one room, housekeeping had forgotten to leave towels,

Towels are not changed every day, we had to beg for replacement towels, and the room was not cleaned properly.

The little green tent where you exchange you beach towels is only open at certain times during the day and I have to say, its not service with a smile.

Room cleaning service was mediocre as they forgot a couple of times to bring us fresh towels.

The food was superb, and nothing was too much trouble - Douglas cooked an amazing special seafood meal, and it was a pleasure meeting head chef Rawat who accommodated a late request for dosa as a treat breakfast before we left!

The food was very delicious and catered to all cuisines.

Our 5night stay at the Palm was exceptional, rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean, the food was delicious and varied (not like other all-inclusive resorts where the same dishes were repeated over and over again). The staff were the friendliest people and so attentive, you could always have a chat with anyone (Patrick, Sarah and Festus were our favourite members of staff!)

They even made other glutenfree dishes on demand, such as pancakes every morning or gluten free pasta for lunch.

Aloo paratha, bhajias, egg chapatis everything was delicious.

Everyday we were spoiled with various types of cuisines, continental, Indian, Mediterranean and African, also something for every pallet.
