Requested 2 rooms together with Ground floor Studio for elderly parents-87yrs and unwell, got upstairs unit with a shower they had to step up into yet they confirmed with to us that was approved,lies!!.

The toilet leaked, so consequently we got wet feet every time we went.

Drains gurgle whenever a neighbouring unit flushed the toilet or showered.

Double bed downstairs, bathroom, shower and toilet upstairs.

The motel was 1970s as it had old stuff in the room and the bathroom was really small the oven was old wouldnt b my pick of motels if I come back to Auckland again, I would go somewhere else to stay

Tissue box was pretty (just as the other rooms) in Room #805,

The shower and toilet are very compact and shower difficult to get into.

The bathroom area is perhaps in need of updating

The bathroom was very small with the w/c effectively in a little sliding door cupboard!

Woke to find myself in “once were warriors “ p addict domestic violence living next door.

The snorer next door was clearly audible and traffic noise constant.

Our friend next door at #804 experienced the same problem.

We dealt with about 3 different staff throughout the day/night who were extremely friendly, accommodating and made our experience an extremely pleasant one.

The owners have consistently satisfied the needs of most of their clients, and they continue this trend in a friendly and willing way.

Staff were helpful and friendly, happy to offer advice on decent places to eat.

Room was clean, very comfortable, exceptionally efficient and friendly service.

Thred bare carpet, inadequate heating and no response to request for

To our astonishment, there were no towels in the room & when we asked for them, we were told that the replacement set was not yet dried.

but he could not find a hand out copy of a map I asked for.

No smoke alarm in our unit, no electric blankets on all the beds as stated on web sight.

Someone must have smoked in the room it was overpowering the smell left behind.

This Motor Lodge was really dirty and grotty and stunk of urine.

The lady in charge was very nice, cleaners a bit abrupt.

Checked in with a great smile from owner.

but they were kind enough to leave us a note and direct us on how to find our room.

Big bonus for great communication and reservation.

The service and staff were absolutely brilliant.

It was clean and the beds comfortable with very personable service from management.

We had unit 10, a 1 bedroom unit set up for 4 guests 

The showers are so dirty that I wouldnt even wash in there.

Dirty rooms, tape holding shower together.

Overpriced, dirty, didn't look like place had been vacuumed after previous folk, lots of road noise, no couch, had to sit on single bed to watch TV, tiny TV, broken furniture, kitchen not well equipped, ants, bathroom towel rail hanging on by piece of wire.

My wife made the comment she even felt dirty when she got out of the shower!

The room was not as described as in the website no spa bath, no Sky.

The skirting boards were dirty, as was the bathroom window blind.

The spa bath was dirty and didn't work, the towels were small and horrible, the only positive was there was plenty of hot water to clean the bath before I could use it.

The shower head was broken and put together with cello tape like that would hold together in a wet area!!

There was water stains over the roof, mould in the bathroom and hair over the basin shelf and walls >.< we all slept in the main bed as I refused to let my child sleep where the blood stained pillow was found.

Unit not serviced after first nights stay.When it was finally done bath towel had a hole in it big enough to put your head through.After our several complaints management offered to fully  refund our 3 nights tariff which we accepted.

The room doesn't provide any writing instruments and only the basic showering products.

The staff is always smiling friendly and very helpful.

We left the fridge out on last day as I have never seen such a pile if dirt, dust and I think an old lollipop there.

The refrigerator was disgusting and had mould in it, not sanitary at all, the duvet had cigarette burns on it and there was what looked like a pubic hair on my"fresh" face cloth.

As the final insult, the small bottle of milk they gave me on arrival was sour by the morning because the cheapskates had left the fridge turned off.

The blinds in the kitchen could have been cleaned a bit better

There were no tissues in the bathroom (a standard in motels) and there was one rubbish bin only - in the kitchen (not in the bathroom).

The small fridge was quite loud, so I kept it switched off for the duration of my stay.

While we were not going to spend a lot of time in unit, we found the 21" TV very small for room.

Also in that room the door shlo ked the disabled couple inside and no one coukd get in or out.

Mother law could not get out of her room.

Woke up to see the car from the room next door had had its windscreen smashed in. Beware!

Interestingly we had friends also staying there to attend the same event we were and commented on how disgustingly dirty their room was.

Oil column heater didn’t do much given the room had high ceilings.

although the guy at the counter was friendly enough the room was dirty, the bathroom was filthy, floor sticky.

I arrived at 8:30pm and found my room (despite incorrect directions) and it was 12 degrees inside.

Our upstairs room was broken into from the balcony and we had all our personal possessions stolen.

The TV had no signal and By morning the room had a strong damp smell to it.

Her kindness helpfulness and  friendliness  is a 10/10 you need something you ask for it  and Lynn snd het staff will help you with efficiency  and a big smile.

The owner said just put a chair behind it - great for those disabled and access is already a  challenger.

We stayed at this motel under a previous owner some years ago and returned as we had had a good experience.

but a substantial amount, the night staff lady was alerted and very apologetic.

We found that the service we got at reception was very pleasant and helpful.

I did ring back to reception to get help with that

but does the job (was warned by reception about quality so was happy to not be lied to).

The wi-fi signal was also quite weak in the room, and you needed to be near the front to get any decent reception from it.

Cables for the TV wrapped around wall bracket and Freeview box held on by cable ties.

despite instructions we could not figure the tv out and could only get a sports channel.

no TV only had 2 channels , bath rooms walls and celling were mouldy, only good thing about room was comfy bed

yes we had trouble with the channels and tv turning off automatically.

but the tv thing was a big disappointment.

although I didn't come away for TV, there are only 3 channels as our Freeview box is broken.

The instruction sheet for the TV operation was very dirty and sticky on the underside so when you picked it up your hand was dirty.

However, the staff really weren’t very friendly or helpful and were really unapproachable.

I was lucky because there was another pod available for me in another room that day for the period I had booked.

Luggage storage was incredibly helpful as well as it allowed us to explore Auckland on foot without hauling a suitcase.

The staff were always very informative, the hotel restaurant and bar was lively and stayed open late and the common spaces were always clean.
