The temperature in the room was far too hot and lowering the thermostat did nothing.

First, I wouldn't be writing this if I felt the hotel was average in any way.

The overall rating is just average as room accessibility to me is very important.

At around £100 a day this amounts to no  more than average value for money for a standard room.

Good variety breakfast, gym and pool are pretty much the best in Dalian since I’ve also tried many other brands over the years.

Everything was delicious, especially the truffle mushroom dumplings!

Cookies made by John were so yummy 😋 Especially small ones with jam inside, love it.

Went to Dalian visit my friends, stayed at New Wold hotel, the location super convenient, about 15 minutes to the train station and xinghai park!

Was given a room located on the smoking floor as I arrived at the hotel very late due to delayed flight, and all the non-smoking rooms were occupied.

The hotel is in an ideal central location.

Also it is located near several restaurant options.

Staying there again for 3 days at a reasonable price for the kind of hotel The NEW WORLD is.

The first time i came to this hotel ,i stayed on the excutive club ,the staff of the excutive club served with special professional and thoughtful service.Miss Christy and Miss kenzo,in particular,are impressed by them and will be staying next time,hoping to see them again.

The staff will wait on the outside of the hotel to call the taxis and once they get one, they will call us.

I always have a great time in the new world hotel in Dalian, received a great help from the staff, especially Max from the executive floor, long time business trip is quite exhausted, it means a lot when she gave us a great help to ease the tiredness, hope new world hotel keep up the good service and more guests could enjoy the hotel.

From the accommodations to the staff -- everything was truly a 5 star experience -- had other events I attended at the Shangri-La for business & I can say I was so tickled I was at the New World Dalian.

The second reason was bad internet speed, I was there for business

My colleague has got her laptop hacked while attempting to connect only, not even connected yet!!

However, due to the Poor Internet Speed encountered.

but one thing that really annoyed me was the smell of the carpet, and the low speed of the Internet.

My suggestion to the hotel would be:
1) Internet speed to increase to fulfill business needs
2) Breakfast should have more choices and varieties, refill speed need to be fast

The only problem bad internet connection in the rooms

The rest is just perfect from the spa to the news distributed every day in the room

Speeds increased a little bit when using my corporate VPN.

But then you have to pay extra for breakfast (about £15) and for the internet (about £9).

The New World does not offer wlan internet for free.

The rooms are a bit dated and the AC couldn't seem to keep up in the tower set aside for executive lounge access.

The room heating can be a little too much even in the midst of winter.

When I turned the air flow to the minimum, the room cooled down to a more tolerable 78 -

When I removed my door card from the wall mount, the air-conditioner turned back on again.

though as they responded quite negatively when I asked why the rooms were so hot and if the heaters were working.

The Pool and Spa area was great for a rainy day

At breakfast I came across the GM who checked upon the satisfaction of my stay.

Management changed the breakfast from full buffet to semi buffet which was a good idea since the hotel was still in low occupancy stage of recovery.

Very happy to come back and enjoy another safe and healthy stay at Kempinski in the future.

The room was very clean, breakfast was fresh and very flavorful.

Food is delicious and rooms are very clean.

Also he has assured me that he would be present on all days at 8.30 in the cafteria to keep my breakfast ready.

but we didn’t think much of the food especially for the price, the beer was ok however in comparison the Dragon Palace Chinese restaurant in the Hotel was delicious and the service was impeccable, we were looked after by the wonderful Jolin.

Breakfast, snacks and dinner were available, and the view was very nice.

Surprisingly , In dinner buffet at Berlin Cafe , I saw Samosa and heard an Indian voice in Hindi .

The buffet morning breakfast was of many variety of caters to everyone.

The breakfast was delicious and there are fun bars and restaurants nearby.

My favorite was the homemade yogurt. Yum!

I book with Booking.com which seems to offer rates inclusive of breakfast.

The beer is very delicious and brewed inhouse by a German Brewmaster.

There are five types of porridge such as  healthy brown rice, millet etc.

It has a Chinese restaurant, an Italian restaurant, 2 German eateries, and a deli.

The Paulaner have great authentic German food like sausages, pork knuckles, Sauerkraut and cold cuts.

but no soul no music nothing painfully silent .the German Restaurant was great and fun new years eve party .The Breakfast room was really big we went for breakfast at 9 but almost everything was gone and the Staff was so confused and disorganised .

but the Italian and especially the German restaurant were very good.

Excellent choices in hotel dining from traditional Chinese to Western to a German restaurant where they actually brew their own beer (and it is quite good).

I wouldn't miss the pizza bar or the german restaurant both are excellent! !

Retaurants which were numerous offering different choices of food,we particularly enjoyed the german restaurant also offering home brewed beer.

Like in all Kempinski Hotels in China, there is a German style Paulaner restaurant in the basement with live music and German beer and food.

This Kempinski Hotel is well located at Down Town Dalian.

If you want to explore Dalian by Feet, the Kempinski is top located for it.

It's our first time in Kempinski Dalian and i must say the hotel is in great location.

Located at the downtown of the city, close to the Train Station and Laodong Park.

Clean, large and modern rooms with mini bar, good wifi connection, with internal restaurants and with the good position.

The room had a central view of Labor Park which is definitely worth a wander round, we requested a non smoking room that was high up and with a view,  which they delivered and then some!

Tip: View the beautiful city lights from the park across the street and try street food at Zhongyuan Street!

It is also in a great location, near major parks, city center, and a wonderful alley of street food.

and the view was lovely overlooking Labor Park.

It looks great and it has great city views as well as Labour Park views.

The gym overlooking the park has been refurbished since last years stay with high tech equipment.

The room has a view of Labour Park and the shopping centres across the road.

You can start your day with an excellent breakfast, explore the Labour Park with going to the Dalian TV Tower by Lift, going down by slade in summer or in winter.

Close to the center of the City and very close to the Park.

There is also Laodong Park, a 5-minute walk.

The hotel is located in parkland which is a very nice place just in front of the labor park and the commercial area not far from the old train station.

The hotel is in front of a very beautiful park if you want to go jogging in the morning.

Great location, very close to a nice park and the central station.

Room was excellent with good views over the Labour Park and central sectors of the city.

The location near the Labour park is attractive for those who might fancy a walk or jog.

However, compare to the other 5 star hotels in Dalian, the hotel needs to be renovated urgently in order to meet guest’s expectation.

but do seem like they need to be updated.

No free shuttle bus from/to airport, furniture in room is not in mint condition and breakfast buffet is not included when a “deLux” room is booked (Y610 excl tax).

the hotel is just average nothing special for what you pay, considering also that in summer time the room was terribly cold due to too much air condition.

The air condition did heat up the room throughout the day (for what reason? no clue.  )

Some rooms are in need of renovation, and the price of tea in the lobby is extortionate,

A must try, if you are craving for Indian food or want to have great first time experience.

We had the opportunity to try the Indian cuisine for the first time and we liked it very much.

We ate in the Pauliner Bavarian style restaurant which is on the basement floor of the hotel one night

Serving good beer and European food, which might be a nice distraction if you stay longer in China.

Hotel is across the road from a shopping center and there are lots of food choices around.

We loved the porridge and the hand made noodles.

There were food from Japan, China, European and they were all good.

Around the cornere, there's a Starbucks, Burger King, and McDonalds.

I had ordered for food almost at midnight and the service was so quick!!!

Breakfast is always a treat with a wide choice of local and international cuisines.

The Chinese Restaurant serves as well great food and they have great lunch offers.

Our room was very big and comfortable, all included.

We held a business event in the hotel and the staff were terrific in preparing the room and offering assistance.

Rooms are spacious  clean , comfortable and with good city views .Have another trip planned in 2019 .Will again stay at the Kapinski.

We were quickly moved to another room. The bed was perfect, the bathroom was exactly what we needed (love the tub!)

but i wish i stayed for a longer duration.spacious rooms and equally classy washrooms..the linen is something you wouldn’t experience in many places.

The hotel is opposite Labour Park which gives great views of your lucky to have a park facing room.

Spacious, with a huge room and an enormous bathroom, I have never had so much space other than in a suite.

Upon getting to my room it was even hotter.

but found that the bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke.

They can bring out the sweat in your body inspite of the cold Dalian wind outside.

I got nasty sore throat and was desperately looking for Theraflu

but only one adjacent non smoking room was available.

I was so grossed out I left to go back to the single sex saunas.

but it may take you an hour to get cream or sugar, the bar smells like a frat party trying to break a record for smoking cigarettes, . ."

My wife found exactly the same one at the shopping mall close by ( Dalian shopping Mall) with hardly 300 RMB! You can visit ( on the 5th floor) the genuine Chinese restaurant "Dragon's Palace" ( NON smoking.  )

It is allowed to smoke in the lobby which is not good where it already started to be banned in all closed areas.
