Rooms were neat and clean and it is located right on the Old Venetian harbor.

Located right in front of the old Venetian Harbor, you’re right in the middle of action and yet it’s so quiet and peaceful.

The historic location in the old Venetian Harbor is beautiful & uplifting, especially at daybreak & dusk.

Right n the old Venetian Harbor and surrounded by restaurants this is a perfect location for visiting this lovely town.

Excellent location,quiet ,  renovated and tastefully decorated rooms, always perfectly clean offering a great view to the old venetian harbor and the most stunning sunsets.The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great, offering a  rich variety of homemade  cretan delicacies until eleven o' clock in the morning with the staff always serving you with a smile.Beds and pillows are new and comfortable, bathroom always perfectly clean.

Another disapointment was the bathroom, which is really, really small.

A beautiful old house that has been transformed into a stunning hotel.

If you're after accomodation that is bristling with charm, character, ambiance, excellent breakfasts, fantastic views of the harbour in a historic setting with absolutely wonderful and genuine staff, then this B&B ticks all the boxes.

We had a great balcony view and enjoyed sunsets each evening with our wine and cheese.

We had a room with balcony overlooking the port .

The view outside the windows was amazing.

but that didn’t bother me, views of the harbor is great, very nice breakfasts.

But not the first night due to our assigned suite being dark, two levels and quirky.

Laying on a sun bed of the terrace; looking around the landscape and the lively motion of the harbor without any intrusive noise; watching the lights and colors changing over the surrounding houses and local people living them , until the dark came,  was such an intimate and touching experience to be difficult expressing.

The furnishings of the room were quite dark

(Triple was a little dark -- only complaint we had.)

To have a shower was a challenge as when the shower curtain was drawn it was dark and difficult to see anything.

However it was very dark, dank and smelt very damp and musty.

The bathrooms were a little worn and the bedding was dark and heavy,

Would definitely come back despite minor complaints [a/c unit a bit weak and bathroom a bit small and dark] as it really is a charming stay whether you wish to be in the action or just step back from it all and relax.

They wanted to be sure we made it back from the Gorge before it got dark.

Our bathroom was on the small side and the shower was quite dark.

The building is nice, the breakfast is nice, the service is nice, we were just a bit disappointed by our room(11) with a view on other windows, the strict minimum in the bathroom, wich was actually very tiny and you have to ahve a shower nearly in the dark because the light is not ok. For the bedroom , the furnitures look a bit old and the matress is not very confortable, too soft, so you'd better have a partner of the same weight than you.

I've read some of the negative comments about the rooms (being dark, bad bathrooms, too small, etc) and I feel I must let people know that the rooms have been recently renovated (in fact we were only the second people to stay in our room) earlier this year and these problems have been fixed.

The hotel is over rated -- no view,  shower is revolting,  dark and tiny,  rooms too light,  curtains not lined to prevent early  morning light.

 Service was impeccable, the room was luxurious and the daily breakfast was outstanding.

This is a first rate small family owned hotel just the steps from the old venetian Harbor Inn Chania.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite, whose terrace has sweeping views of the old Venetian harbor.

This is a very well styled hotel in the old venetian harbor of Chania.

We had the penthouse room, nicely decorated, with a fantastic private rooftop patio overlooking the beautiful old venetian harbor.

Warming: you should be fit enough to climb one flight of stairs, particularly after s good breakfast!

Note that there are no elevators in the hotel, so you will need to climb the stairs to your room (3rd floor max). .

but it was an amazing place with amazing service, (they even made us a breakfast box to go at 4am to catch a flight) and i took full advantage of the free wine on the roof garden overlooking Chania for the one night. Highly recommend (only dont drink too much as you have to walk down many stairs to go to the bathroom in the night)

however not a good idea for families with small mobile children or for older adults due to the amount of stairs in the room.

(We were surprised to discover that it was up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator.

So when you've walked all day, you really don't feel like trudging three flights of stairs just to get to your room, your deluxe suite.

Travellers may like to be aware that the hotel has a large number of stairs and steps, in some cases not very obvious; there is a lift only in one part of the hotel.

Room was rather small and on 2 levels with a tiny balcony that was almost too small to sit on; marble floors and stairs were lovely

Because the floor space was small, the designer used the height of the room (the hotel is located in an old palace) and put the bed on a landing at the top of a flight of stairs.

If you have difficulty with stairs, mention this when booking as our room had 3 flights to access it.

One caution: only one side of the hotel has a lift so, if you are averse to taking the stairs, ask for that side.

but it was impossible to keep the window open because it goes directly to the stairs, people were walking up and down, therefore it was noisy.

but in case you have difficulties with stairs you might opt for a room accessible by the elevators on the other side of the hotel.

Although we are young and healthy, we didn't want to take those stairs again if we didn't have to!

Our room was large and luxurious with 3 windows that you could open and see a beautiful view of the harbor, leaning out a bit.

There is a rooftop bar that has a beautiful view.

although without a view, was a suite and bathroom was large with great shower.

That is if home is a stunning, gracious Venetian mansion.

Situated in a former Venetian mansion this is a very cool little hotel with a courtyard breakfast under a magnificent old tree,  a roof-top bar with awesome views, and located in the heart of old town.

And the rooftop deck offers a great view of Chania.

In addition, they have a roof top bar that overlooks the port which is great for pre dinner drinks.

Room was lovely and had a view over Chania Harbour.

My room was huge with a partial view of the harbor and the location was perfect.

The hotel is about an hour drive to Falassarna beach which is a stunning beach on west coast of Crete and about 1.5hr drive to Elafonissi beach.

The hotel bar also has an amazing view and the bartender is so friendly!

Coffees made to order and a selection of teas, including local green mountain tea.

Breakfast is full of fresh food and different choices.There is a roof top bar at the top which overlooks the Venetian harbor - a great place to have a drink in the evening.

From the roof top of the hotel, you can have splendid view of the harbor, no matter it's in the day or in the night.

Public areas are nicely furnished and decorated juxtaposing some “classical” artefacts with contemporary decor. Our room was airy and cool with a balcony overlooking historic Theotokopoulou St, formerly home to El Greco  (!)

12 days in Paradis, very good beds and pillows, the bathroom is small,

but the bathroom seems to be  renovated in the last few years.

Experience sadly let down by ripped mosquito screen, having to go down to reception to ask for complimentary toiletries supposed to be in the room, also for kettle,

but no glasses or cups, not even in the bathroom

shower could be better ..its small with curtens and shower head is strange .

Rooms above the restaurant can be pretty noisy during midnight (when the restaurant closes).

Mid week, we asked the cleaners to empty our bin and for another toilet roll and this was done immediately.

although the shower is a bit of a challenge.

The shower even had a lower spout for cleaning away the sand between my toes.

but comfortable and clean, only shower with curtain is a bit annoying, it’s hard not to have the water all around the floor, no matter how much you try.

Our only minor gripe was our bathroom, which could do with an overhaul,

The shower temperature did vary a little throughout the day and the shower head would benefit from replacement in our room.

The only downsides were the rooms had a very small bathroom

The down point was lack of hot water at night and a teeny shower .

Room was small with 2 single beds which we had asked for, a fridge, bathroom and balcony with sea views.

however the bathroom is very small and the shower base is very uncomfortable and hard to use, water leaks everywhere.

Although the hotel doesn't have the amenities or the feel of a five star hotel

But there was no hair dryer in the bathroom.

The room had wifi, shower, tv, aircon, balcony with chairs & table & safety deposit box should you need it.

As many people here already reviewed, the bathroom got always really wet when showering because of the low base and the short curtain.

My only downside was the toilet door banged against the toilet it was so small and it was a horrible shower - only because it was old and bit tired looking with a kind of 'past its sell buy date shower curtain' that wasn't inviting and the dogs from next door barked like crazy day or night at anything that moved

The hotel was very clean in an excellent location, you can eat breakfast and have a view of the sea.

This is a small friendly hotel located outside Chania on high ground with great views and a great restaurant.

5 stars for the rooms with great bed, 5 stars for the location with a great view and 5 stars for each and every one of the staff!

We would recommend the rooms 104/204 or 105/ 205 all of which face the sea.

This is a 400 year old building with no elevators

The nature of converting a historic building into a modern hotel causes some challenges though - very steep and narrow stairs (no lift) and we had a very odd shaped bathroom (c 20ft long

one drawback for people that dont like stairs, no elevator .

The hotel does not have a lift BUT their insisted on carrying our bags up 2 flights of stairs and give us a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel as it was still available!!!

No elevator, very old building and steps just for information, not complaining.

As these hotels don't have elevators (nor would you want to ruin their charm with one) my sore back and my wife's unsettled stomoch weren't about to deal with hunting from hotel to hotel, not to mention loads of steps to get to upper floor rooms.

This boutique property is ideally located along Chania’s Old Venetian Harbor, offering sweeping views of the sea and the Venetian Lighthouse.
