My room was great; clean, comfy bed, side view of the port and good shower pressure.

Whilst not large the room way perfectly adequate and clean.

Very clean and comfortable with one of the best breakfasts I have known in any hotel - a superb choice of al a carte options served beautifully by the delightful Zina and her colleagues.

Rooms were neat and clean and it is located right on the Old Venetian harbor.

Clean, charming, on the old Venetian Harbor of Chania, this is the best place to stay in Chania.

My wife and I stayed at P V, at the old Venetian harbor, Chania, Crete, Greece last month.

Now, if they could just build a pool on the roof. .

My only criticism would be that the style of the hotel is relatively modern, and so it may not be as quaint as other venetian style hotels, oh and also i would suggest a jacuzzi on the roof; instead of solar panels!

I didn't rate the pool or fitness center because I didn't use them.

There is no pool at the hotel, so you have to go the many nearby beaches for a swim.

We had a room on the side of hotel with a balcony which had a partial harbour view.

The rooms were very well insulated at night, and no outside noise was heard.

This hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and is situated in a peaceful section of the harbour overlooking the old Venetian port.

One evening, there was a stunning concert hosted there.

It had a gorgeous side view to the port .

But you don't need a room with a view because it is so easy to find beautiful harbor views in Chania.

but the view from the terrace is excellent.

We ate many many times at the hotel for lunch and dinner, both on the cobbled stones outside overlooking the harbour and in their quaint flower-filled garden and enjoyed every meal.

It is in the most picturesque part of Chania old town and the sunset cocktails over the harbour were breathtaking.

We had a very comfortable corner suite with balcony overlooking the harbor with a nice view.

The breakfast starts at 9:00 which is pretty late if you want to visit some busy beaches.

This hotel is set in the heart of the Old Town with balconies overlooking the Venetian harbour.

The view was simply stunning of the Venetian Harbour.

This is a spectacularly placed hotel - right overlooking the harbour.

Located in an amazing setting, overlooking the picturesque Old Venetian Harbour, is very close to Chania's sights, (the Maritime Museum and the Firka Fortress are right next door) bars, restaurants and a free car park.

Our room, the oval room complete with four poster and lovely furniture opens its balcony doors to the wonderful old Venetian harbour.

An absolutely fantastic hotel with amazing views across the harbour and the beautiful clear blue sea.

but the aircon was a little antiquated and only blew cold air down from the mezzanine - which meant hot parents and cold kids.

Firstly there are only a few rooms with views in the hotel,
if you don't get one of these then you will immediately be very seriously disappointed, 
as the rooms are worn, dark, cold, gloomy, uncomfortable and not
private.

Particularly in the late afternoon - with a cold beer or a glass of wine watching the activities in and around the beautiful old harbour - perfect.

Breakfast is ok apart from the cold boiled eggs & strange toasties.

We were often disappointed to find that the greek breakfast pastries were frozen and reheated, the boiled eggs always cold, and the occasional toastie unwelcome.

although some might say it would ruin the character and charm of the old boutique hotel to make that change, the bathrooms are perfectly serviceable as they are.

We would return here again just for the ambience and the quality of service.

The welcome is warm and genuine, and the atmosphere homely and very comfortable.

This boutique hotel, in my opinion, has a traditional Greek charm.

Our last night was spent in the very quaint and cozy double Estia room.

Room (casa Leone suite) is spacious,clean, elegantly styled.

but don’t let that bother you it’s worth staying just for the atmosphere.

This hotel is B&B style and has the perfect location in Chania harbor.

This charming, elegant hotel is full of character and history.

As soon as we got there we felt we could unwind and enjoy the surroundings and the fascinating history of Chania -before we even left the hotel!

My wife and I had two wonderful nights at Casa Leone with it wonderful old world ambience, yet modern accommodations with an incomparable view of Chania harbor  and proximity to everywhere.

Sitting at the entrance to Chania's old Venetian harbor, it provides a magnificent view of today's life and yesterday's waterfront architecture.

The shower is very small which is a warning to guests who are very tall -

Warning: The locals can get very ingenious when it comes to finding a place to park a car.

Only area for improvement is the morning coffee - please remove the Nescafe :-).

but on the far side, so slightly more removed from all the action.

Just go very slow around the corners, and follow the English signs for Elafonissi.

We had a room with balcony overlooking the port .

The view outside the windows was amazing.

but that didn’t bother me, views of the harbor is great, very nice breakfasts.

The only good view of the harbor we could get was from the main lobby balcony.

While the room was spotless, the blankets were dirty and stained, the hot water wasn't that hot and the shower leaked all over the floor no matter what you did to prevent it.

The bathroom floor also gets really wet because of the way that the small showers are built

The shower was also small and difficult to use (without flooding the bathroom floor!).

The bathroom was also a bit small and the lack of a bathroom curtain was actually a bit annoying as all water from the shower ended up on the bathroom floor.

The shower is indeed a little interesting to use and you do run the risk of flooding the floor,

However careful you are you end up flooding the bathroom floor and this is a hassle.

The main town and Chania old port are a 25 minute stroll away and there are several sandy beaches within walking distance, including golden beach where the swimming and snorkelling are best.

The location is really convenient, close to the beach and a nice walk to the city centre.

Towels are changed every other day, with the possibility to have extra ones for the beach, which is extremely convenient when traveling with small luggages.

Highly recommend doing Samaria Gorge and Elafonissi Beach!

The beach is an easy 10/15 minute downhill walk and a not so easy uphill walk back :)  The hotel's Theodosi  restaurant is just amazing.

but Nea Chora beach (great organized blue-flag beach) is about a 15-minute walk, or about 30 minutes if you have young kids (as we do.)

We could reach all the beaches and the city center with bus 21 in minutes.

A family run hotel with an amazing view, close to Chania city center, close to organised beaches.

but it was still close to te beaches and center.

The beach you can reach in 5 minuts and the window view was amazing.

Great location for us out of town so traffic quiet and enjoyed the walks into the old town and harbour.

Amazing views and walking distance to the beach.

Whilst in a built up area we were very close to pleasant beaches and sea views.

Super location next to the calm beaches and not far to the city center.

With the beach so close it's an easy journey, follow the map reception supply and you're on your way.

Brilliant little bar on the beachfront 10 minutes walk away which makes for a perfect pitstop on the walk into town.

The added bonus of the pool area made it a great place to relax and read a book in the Greek sun when we didn’t feel like being on a crowded beach.

Dogs made noise during the night and early in the morning.

My only downside was the toilet door banged against the toilet it was so small and it was a horrible shower - only because it was old and bit tired looking with a kind of 'past its sell buy date shower curtain' that wasn't inviting and the dogs from next door barked like crazy day or night at anything that moved

The air conditioning was very noisy and very often during the night we could hear dogs barking for hours.

but I didn't like the dogs barking all day long.

The problem is a noisy building (shooting doors, people in the restaurant) and neighbourhood (barking dogs even during the night).

but this is mostly usual hotel noise and neighbours dogs barking which are beyond the control the management- so pack earplugs if you are noise sensitive.

Even with ear plugs I found the day and night barking and howling of the dog tied up outside the ground floor was really annoying, and the noise from other residents does echo around the building.

Also, we were woken up in the middle of night when a guest kept knocking someone's room door (not hard knock) on the first floor, and dog barking in early mornings.

Only minor issues we encountered: That Damn Dog - the guard dog that barks at his own shadow ALL night every night - not an aid to restful sleep!

but the dogs barking all night, so hard to sleep.

When we got to the airport, we realised my boyfriend had left his phone at the hotel on charge in reception!

In fact when we arrived we waited for 15 minutes and then decided to call the hotel number.

And also, on our way back home we had asked at reception if they know when buses go to airport from Chania,they checked online and told us that every 2hours and basically we are  late and they can call taxi.

Before we had even finished our conversation he was on his phone speaking to the housekeeping staff and by the time I returned to my room they were already there installing a foam mattress topper so my wife could sleep better.

I called him again 3 times and he didn't picking up the phone.

He seemed genuinely upset that we were calling time on our stay at his hotel, which he clearly adores.

They sat with us for over 6 hours looking for flights the next day and assisted us in calling airports, travel companies, taxies etc, without asking for a thing.

This hostel (I can not call it hotel) is just terrible!!!

You can ask the hotel to call for one for you or just go down to the main street and easily catch one.

If you want to stay within reach of the main town bars, shops and restaurants,

Chania is a busy local town with an interesting harbour, do take a boat trip out as this was excellent experience , can be booked directly at the harbour.

It's about a 30-minute walk to the Old Town, and the walk is along a busy, non-scenic street.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with showing us how to get to the beach and into town.

The hotel is always clean and tidy, with fantastic views of sea and Chania(  love the morning view when the sun come up on the old town) 
The restaurant for the hotel is superb, a must visit for anyone coming to Chania.

they let us check in very late and sorted out an issue with our tv promptly, good location on edge of town 15mins drive from centre

The hotel is close to public transportation and we walked to the old town in about 35-40 minutes along the water .

10 minutes from Centre of old town chainia.

Walk into town, follow your map to the sea then take the path adjacent to the water all the way in to Chania.

We were provided history on the town, a guided map tour of how to get around and the best places to check out while in Chania.

Chania itself is a charming town with lots to do

Quiet place and at the same time near the old town and the beaches.

The location is great, a few minute ride to Old town and really near to the highway.

We loved the fact we were so close to the town

It is an easy walk into town along the coast or you can walk to the bottom of the road and hop on a bus.

It is ideally located to enable you to walk to nearby beaches and Chania town.

but still close enough to the old town if you change your mind then Alexis is the place for you.

Scrupulously clean and comfortable room with a balcony looking over sea and to Chania.

I really liked the sea view from the balcony it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a light read with a view!
